Awesome coffee, it’s delicious!! You can add extra shots for stronger coffee as well. Super clean place also. They have a drive thru which is awesome for someone who has littles and needs to get their coffee fix fast. There is never a long wait. Everyone is so nice and it’s extremely affordable! 10/10 recommended!

Y’all… this is the best coffee in Brownsville. I’ve been coming to 956 Coffee religiously for the past 3 years, and it’s the only place I get my coffee. I’ve tried about 90% of the local coffee shops here, and I can confidently say 956 Coffee never disappoints. The baristas are incredibly knowledgeable about espresso (shoutout to Jason, Gina, Evelyn, Abraham, Dalila & Abby — they always make sure every shot is perfect!). Their syrups are made in-house — no bottled stuff — and their pastries are baked fresh daily (Sophie is amazing). The best part? Consistency. No matter who’s on bar, the coffee is always on point. You can pre-order bags of coffee for meetings by calling, and they also offer gift cards and super cute merch. Both locations have drive-thru service (Price Rd & Paredes), and the Paredes location also has indoor and outdoor seating. Huge shoutout to the entire 956 team (including Jenny, Erick & Cassy) — truly the best coffee shop in town! ☕

We absolutely love 956 Coffee! Their coffee is always excellent, and they create unique drinks that you can’t find anywhere else in Brownsville. It’s become part of our daily routine to stop by, and we especially enjoy trying their seasonal creations. Some of our favorites are the Rice & Beans (horchata with espresso – so good!), the Hazelnut Praline Latte, and the Apple Spice Latte. Every drink feels thoughtfully crafted and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff always make the experience even better. 956 Coffee is hands-down our go-to spot, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing coffee and creative flavors!

I love trying different coffee places, and out of all of the ones I’ve visited this one is for sure a top contender. The atmosphere in here is absolutely incredible. Fresh flowers on the table, a nice little rack of clothes to look through, a variety of places to sit, so the inside area is really beautiful. Our order was taken quick, and was brought out to us in a really timely manner as well. The baristas were so friendly and warm, and the drinks themselves were awesome. Both were soooo smooth, I got a matchata (as well as the rice & beans) and they were both amazing. The horchata is so rich and the coffee was really yummy! Totally recommend!

Every time someone asks for a coffee place recommendation, I always have to say 956coffee! This place became my favorite spot to study/hang with friends! The baristas are such lovely and kind people and they make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk through that door. Not to mention the coffee is amazing every single time. Recently, my favorite has been the shaken Amber and I highly recommend!! It’s also very close to where I live and I couldn’t have been more grateful to have such a great place nearby🙏🏼💝

Coffee here is really solid, matcha is incredibly mid. Drinks are about $7-$10.

Great people but I was shocked that a large latte cost over $8 here at 956. I don’t live here in Brownsville so when I visit, I love supporting local but I was taken back by the price. I have purchased coffee at this location time back and I don’t ever recall almost paying $9 dollars for a latte. I own a business myself so I understand the cost of things etc but a good cup of coffee, latte whatever it is, should never be close to $10. I went to Sovereign coffee, also located in Brownsville, and I paid $18 for three large lattes. 956 has great people and cute locations, but the price is definitely not justified.

Greta coffee and atmosphere but the drive thru takes so long. Once I get in the drive thru , I’m stuck there with the other cars which each take about 12 minutes to get their order. I love the coffee but I hope they can improve on efficiency.

I ordered a basic vanilla latte, and even that was disappointing. The espresso tasted burnt, the flavor wasn’t balanced, and for the price, it just didn’t match the quality. I understand that local coffee shops often cost more, and I fully support that, but making sure the shots and recipes are polished is crucial. For me, this just wasn’t it. With the reputation, I expected better. Not sure I’ll be returning. Overall, really disappointed.
