This is my favorite bar in BCS. Don't be filled thinking it's some sort of genetic sports bar or dive. They always carry a good selection of craft beer, including a cask tap. The food is priced well and good enough. Check out half price craft beer on Tuesdays and half price for on Fridays.

Come here on Tuesdays for the beer special. Servers are quick and prompt, selection is really good, and the outdoor area is super nice. Definitely one of my favorite drinking spots in town.

Nice place. We sat out on the patio. We could easily have a conversation. I ordered chips and queso. It was good, but about every other chip was not very crunchy. Maybe a little humidity got to them. Great customer service.

Favorite spot in town! Pretty much our usual Friday night out. They have great specials every day of the week, including half priced food on Friday until 10! Also one of our favorites is half priced pints on Tuesdays. Always have amazing new craft beer on tap. The staff is so knowledgeable, helpful, and just down right good looking if you ask me. 😜 They even have live music occasionally for holidays and special events. My kinda place!

I always stop in when I'm in the area, one of my favorite craft beer spots in College Station and Bryan . The food selection is great, feels like a dive bar or an old timey pub. They have multiple large patio areas to enjoy a pint outside when the weather is nice and very nicely manicured trees to provide all the shade you need.

Best draft beer bar around the area. They’re a venue on Untappd so you can see their draft, bottles, and cans at all times. Very big outside patio area with TV’s.

The best beer selection in the area! The late night staff there is awesome. Even though I was only in town for a couple of months, they made me feel welcome. A great place to stop for craft beer in the Bryan/College Station area. Shoutout for Autumn and Jared, they were awesome and gave me a great sendoff! You guys better let me know if you want a tour of downtown Denver or wind up near North Carolina!

Carneys is truly the best. Great food, great drinks and the staff is AMAZING. They treat you like family whether you’ve been going for days or years. I can’t say enough amazing things about Carneys and their people!!

Such an amazing place! Went there for the first time on Tuesday and was greeted by an amazing team that helped us with our beer and food selection. Amazing selection of beers, and great prices! Fed two people and 6 drinks for $40! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill, fun place for family and friends!

Service is fantastic. Though the bartenders expect you to wait at the bar for a drink (which, honestly, should be a standard in the industry) they all will take the time to learn your name and even your personal favorite drink. The food on the menu is all good, even for those avoiding pork like myself. From a table one can even expect precise attention to detail and a well-remembered order. A vague flavor sense can lead to the best handful of orders, and an even better night. After attending for months, even in the first two weeks I found myself embarrassed to name my tab because the staff had already remembered my name. Their ability to suggest a drink suited to my tastes and the sheer selection available on draft made every visit worthwhile on its own. The food is amazing. The beer, even better. The staff took their time to learn my name after I took the time to learn theirs and that alone is worth five stars. Definitely the only place worth visiting if you're drinking in BCS.

Busy and comfy local bar. Drinks and beers are solid, food is very good, prices are quite reasonable. People tend to be friendly. Outdoor seating is available. Only downside is that the high popularity leads to it being packed on evenings and Saturdays.

There was a large group of us. The food was food, drinks kept coming, and the atmosphere is great. The outdoor area is huge and it's dog friendly.

Half price pints Tuesday! They have a food special on Friday but I seldom make it then. Pretty standard pub fare. Great nachos and fried jalapeno. They have one of the best beer selections in town in my opinion. Lots of craft beers and ciders. Great place to meet people, I've seen several different Meetup groups here as well. Good times with friendly staff.

Very generous portions. They have a full bar and knowledgeable barstaff. They have great weekly events and specials like 1/2 price food on Friday. The food is better than you'd expect for bar food. The service is sometimes a little slow when they are busy, but the servers are always nice.

Best bar in the CSTAT area - this place has the best food and drinks on tap. The service is impeccable and this bar has made my college experience what it is- I’m not big on going out, but this bar has been there for me in so many ways. I love the ambience and I will never stop coming here!!

My only quibble with this place is the service. We were hardly seen to by wait staff, giving the impression that they were understaffed. The food was excellent though, kudos to the cook. I enjoyed the atmosphere too. We met a group of people that we hit it off with and I'm thankful for that, and to this location for the great food and beer!

The staff is amazing, you will never have an empty drink or bad vibe. Love love love it here! I would tell you to come but don’t want it to get too packed so you can stay home honestly.

Always a great place to meet up with friends on a weeknight and just chill. They have such an amazing atmospheric vibe and the staff are great too. They have specialty drinks that never disappoint. They have outdoor seating too on those nice cool evenings to soak in the fresh outdoors.

Update: Went to watch A&M Softball & Baseball, great outdoor venue, good service but the kitchen is very slow. Was there to watch an A&M football game. Huge outdoor area with plenty of views of TVs & they had the sound over the speakers so you could here the game.

Getting service was a little complicated, but once we made it that far, the rest of our experience was fantastic! Our food came incredibly quickly and we were checked on frequently and treated well. Friday nights are a great experience! Update: Logan was our server tonight and was amazing! Super attentive, but not too pushy. He also kept all of our tabs and orders straight despite there being 7 of us, all with different tabs. Amazing staff, great food and drinks!

This place is awesome as the servers are friendly/cater to locals, Blinn students, Aggies, parents of students and visitors from out of town. The selection of beverages is ridiculously long and food is available. Outside seating with and without TV viewing, smoking outside, comfy couches inside, as well as a traditional bar and pool tables in the back. Game Day, Parent's Weekend, Ring Day or just a Tuesday, you will not be disappointed.

This place serves good bar food, (burgers, nachos, fried pickles, wings & fish tacos I think). Can be hopping and they have a front and back patio area so you may have to be patient on service. Great pub if your looking for an neighborhood kind of bar with options to sit outside. Also, check out their special prices on certain days and times.

I'm SUPER late to the game on this one but EASILY my favorite bar in town. Bartenders are friendly as all get out (shout-out to Da'vonne), have a ton of beer options on tap all the time, great seating, and my personal favorite burger in town. Been coming here for years and plan to for many more!

Carney's is an awesome place - unassuming from the outside, inside surprises you with it's coziness, space, and eclectic vibe. Great selection of taps and pretty good bar food (I had nachos at like 9:30pm so, yeah pretty good!). Staff was attentive but not aggressive. Lots of different seating options (tables, bar tops, couches) and a separate room with pool tables and shuffleboard! Great for a drink before something or spending the evening there!

This place has both a front and back outdoor patio so dogs are welcomed! The staff is super nice and for the quality of bar food it ranks high. The burgers and buns are delicious and their selection of beer is good. Overall, always a great place to come have food and a beer with friends and family.

We enjoyed it very much. Dog friendly with water dishes. Back outdoor area was relaxing and well shaded with plenty of seating. Food was also tasty and fresh. Server was delightful (Valerie?) And welcoming. If we were local this would be a frequent spot. Only draw back was the music was a little loud for how few ppl were there and it wasn't our desired tunes, but I'm sure they would have switched it if we'd asked.

Wow, has Carney's change since I was last there. Best fries EVER and the food is really amazing. I am so surprised by a bar having really good wings, burgers, and just about anything on the menu is fantastic. I do admit to having a very delicate pallet for fries. These aren't those yucky frozen kind but golden crispy hand cut fries that have such a scrumptious flavor. Oh, and they have a great wine/beer selection too. If you're into that kind of thing. I think you'll really enjoy this little place. Give it a go, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Update: I can't say enough about this place!! Food is rock solid especially the wings and fries. Tons of tap options, and just as many bottles. This place has a fun dive quality and chain pricing that makes it the perfect place to meet up with friends and enjoy some food and beer on the patio.

Sports bar with different atmospheres. Inside bar with TVs, side room with TVs, pool room with TVs, bar, kitchen, dining, and separate areas, and an outside area with a big screen. Choose a mood!

Having been in the service industry for nearly two decades, this is one of the best bars I have visited. No excuses, and no lids for to go cups. Menu is short and delicious. Hand cut fries generously salted. Buffalo Patty Melt is everything you want and expect in a patty melt: juicy, messy with the buffalo sauce, and while it looks like a lot, goes away fast because it tastes so freaking good! Pool tables, shuffleboard, huge patio and outdoor space and plenty of televisions for sports! Late afternoon Christmas party of about 20+ happening next to us on our visit, and our service never suffered or lagged. Plenty of parking in back, and extra across the street! Lot was nearly empty when we arrived, and about 1/2 full when we left, yet never realized how many people were inside. Carney's is unapologetically a great bar and they are worth a visit!

We had the margarita and it’s fantastic. Highly recommend. Tons of beer on tap as well. Come check it out. Well made it back into town and ended up at Carney’s again. Really dig this place. My friends and I love coming here! It’s our tradition to order the 50/50, patty melt, and burger. I tried the wings and was pretty happy with the flavor. Drink menu is extensive and this place is always busy, so you might have to wait a while for service, but it’s worth it!

This is one of many places with large selection of crafted beers. They also have specials on the bear and foods on couple of days of the week. The have spacious seats and few outside tables. I like the outside seats and chicken 🐔 wings! with the fruity beer.

Chilled out bar. Makes decent cocktails. Usually attracts grown up crowd. Cocktails can be a hit or miss, but still better than any other place at northgate. The food is what you'd expect out of a bars kitchen. But the Kitchen closes early ( by 10) so make sure you reach there before that if you are hungry.

Great place to grab bourbon on Thursday. The patio out back is good when the weather is nice. The reuben is good, but I've only eaten here once. Parking is crazy because the lot is small.

A group of us sat for about 20 minutes at a table without any service before moving over to the bar. The bar wasn’t busy for we were there around 7pm. This place is fun based on who you are with but expect sub-par service from the college aged bartenders.

It's hard to find something that reminds me of an actual pub here in the States, but Carneys does a pretty good job of it. The warm atmosphere and good food make it an enjoyable place to hang out with friends. Just be aware that sometimes they're extremely busy.

If you're looking for a laid back, chill place to meet your friends after work, this is it. They have an inside and multiple outside spaces. The food is better than your average bar food by far. The service is great; just be sure to take care of the workers! Oh, and did I mention you can bring your dog? Best bar in BCS.

Nice place, I went to watch a football game and I enjoyed the ambiance, mostly college students the staff. More TV screen will help. A great variety of beers and they do some margaritas and other cocktails. No frozen drinks, but very well shaken. It has a nice patio with service outside. I recommend this place

The new expansion addition into the building next door is awesome. They’ve created a top notch outdoor area with ample TVs and a big screen that is ideal for game watching. This adds to the already fun old school Irish bar vibe that Carneys is known for. Good selection of craft beer and national brand liquors and surely everyone will be able to find a drink they enjoy. The food is 6/10 for me but suffices when I get hungry while drinking there.

Had a Happy Hour with or our organization here, and I have heard of this place, but never visited before. It was good. Lots of space outside. Timed it well. It was a cool evening for June, but there was still seating inside if needed. Big screen outdoors to watch the game. A play area for kids! We need more play areas in BCS. The server was nice and our group was well taken care of. We will be back.

This is a bar atmosphere more then restaurant. We are in a college town so for the students it is probably perfect. For 7 adults wanting a sit down dinner it was just ok!

It's your typical run down college town bar. Everything is sticky and they keep the lights down low, - half for ambiance, half so you don't see the stains. The service is unremarkable at best. But the beer is cheap. Cheapish.

This location may be a good bar, a chill place to come and drink but when I read "Pub and Grill" I would think more towrds food. This is place wasnt set up for food, Service to a table was slow, they were busy at the bar, the food was greasy like everything. There Ruben was wet the bread wasnt toasted well and it fell part. There fries were undercooked and soggy. The wings were okay but I only got one size choice and it was an appetizer, if you offer wings i feel there should be lots of sizes and its a meal as well as an appetizer. So food wise I was not inpressed. Service wise I understand you were busy and you did good for being busy, thank you. Now as a Bar this place is great. There drinks are great the service was spot on like wonderful bar. The enviroment screams social drinking its relaxed and lively all at once. I do wish you had a better bar menu, as skmeone who doesnt drink a whole bunch having a few cocktail ideas or mixed drink ideas on the menu would be nice. But thats just me.

We waited an hour and a half for our order because they messed it up the first time. Instead of making up for it, they placed our order at the end of their order list. We were starving and their servers didn’t care. We had to ask 5 times to different people about our food before we could get it. Then, they told us they were working on our order, but we still waited 20 mins after that. Terrible service!! One of their servers was very rude to us and asked us to make the line again if we needed to order even though they were the ones that messed up the order. Their food is great but their service is terrible!

Got there at 3 when they opened. Ordered fried pickles/fried jalapeños to start. Asked to wait a bit to order food so we could enjoy appetizer. The gal said good idea cause they were not very busy and it would come out fast. At 3:50 our fried pickles came out followed 10 mins later by my chicken nachos but not my husband's burger. So I covered the poorest excuse for nachos I have ever seen and waited for my husband's meal to arrive. About 10 min later it did. This is obviously just a place to hang out. Not a good place for food nor drink. My 2 white Russians tasted like ice milk and we were disappointed that they didn't carry Shiner bock. It is a good place, however, for outdoor seating. I will give them that.

Burgers and wings are good. I didn’t read the menu well enough so was shocked to discover anyone would put ranch on fish tacos. Fries were cold. Every single person in our group had cold fries. The margs were pretty good. Wait staff was nice but totally overwhelmed and every table wasn’t even full. It took forever for food and multiple times the orders brought out were incorrect. We have been here an hour and half and still don’t have my daughter’s chicken tenders.

Fail. Took an hour for food. Had to go to the bar to order. Melt had raw onions, bread was not toasted and the cheese was not even close to melted. Fries were cold. Probably ok place to hang out and drink but be prepared to wait for drinks even the bar ordering is slow.

New to the area, I looked online for a ‘burger bar’. My decision to go or not to go is based on the reviews/menu selections/price. Logic dictates a believability of the negative reviews over the gushy-ultra-high praise positive reviews. I read all the reviews & looked at all the menus to find: REVIEWS: from 10yrs ago until a few months ago, all say the same thing - long waits, rude servers, mediocre food. MENUS: as the menus aren’t dated, the prices for a Carney’s Burger w Cheese range from online $6.24 (bacon +.69) to in-house $7.39 (bacon +.92) to $8.08 (bacon+.92) to $12.00 (bacon+1.50). There is no menu or prices for cocktails or beer but I did read that 7yrs ago a can of DosEquis was $4.50. Why can’t you update this website? Why are customers still complaining of abysmal service? Why isn’t a service dog allowed inside? Why would I ever choose to patronize your establishment?

Horrible service from the solo waiter, rude unapologetic bartender... 1 server to entire outdoor area. Waited 30 minutes for a $12 warm beer to be served. Went inside to order after being told (by server) the menu was all online...then, bartender stated the online menu was a fake menu...when I explained what we were told by the server, bartender's response? "It happens." Well, it won't... never gonna be back. I'll have a cookout if I wanna be outdoors and can watch a game on my own big screen...first impression will be the last...

Used to be a great dive. Now it doesn't know what it wants to be. Too big, the workers are over-worked and can't handle the capacity. Kitchen is too small to handle the increased customers. There is no good system in place for orders/waiters. They need to figure out whether they want to be a pub and grill or just a 'bar.' My last time there, I asked to speak to a manager; instead, I was verbally and physically accosted by a waiter.
