I love that the Ceasar salad had a drizzle of balsamic and the sesame croutons. Only thing I didn't like was they had coke (I prefer pepsi products) but the root beer float totally made up for it!!
Went in, had a amazing lunch for my birthday. The waiter was very friendly and amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm, plenty of TV's playing sports. Food had the sirloin steak tips and Mash potatoes bowl, also my partner had wings & large macaroni noodles with cheese, and alligator steak tacos as an appetizer. Sheesh food was amazing. Will be back again soon. Sorry No Pics of food, I was too busy eating 😆
My husband and I have been here at least five times now as part of our date nights. I like it here because you can either dress up or dress down. It is not a formal attire restaurant but sometimes it's just fun to do so. We haven't had one bad experience yet. The waiters and waitresses have all been super friendly, patient, and accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. The portion sizes are more than enough. My husband and I typically order one entree and an appetizer and have never left feeling hungry. Our bill typically comes to 50 some dollars but that is including an alcoholic beverage. I find the prices to be acceptionally affordable; and this is coming from someone who is not currently working, so money is something we try to be careful with. Last time we were here, there was live entertainment in their outside garden area. This woman sang and played guitar. I forgot what her name was but she was super sweet, trying to quickly learn this rather obscure song my husband requested. If you live in the area or are just passing through, please consider supporting this 50 + year family owned business. The atmosphere is relaxing and you can tell that the servers enjoy their jobs. The menu has something for everyone. We love their French Onion Soup and potato skins. The fish & chips are amazing , as is their quiche. Still haven't tried any desert here but I bet it's good.
973rd different cheesesteak in the last four years. Guest Eater Amigo Dan. This was an interesting stop and if you go to Gullifty’s you may be eating the best cheesesteak on the Main Line and possibly the Philadelphia area. The cheesesteak I ate was finely chopped and drowning in the most amazing Gullifty’s made cheese sauce. After an uncomfortable conversation with Owner Jason and a quick taste test you should be eating a less chopped cheesesteak meat that glistens with a fresh morning dew of the best beer cheese sauce ever made. Ann is awesome.
Hunter was amazing and the food was the best as always!! Thank you!
The food and service is amazing and I even had a chance to talk to the owner I love supporting mom and pop restaurants like this.
Our family ate here before a Villanova theatre production. We made reservations, so no difficulty getting seated, service was great, food delicious, and the proximity to the Mullins theatre was perfect! 6 of us ate for under $100. I will say, the killer cookie was good for dessert, but the cookie was not nearly as sweet as a typical chocolate chip cookie - still delightful with the ice cream, whipped topping and chocolate sauce!
Gullifty’s got their mojo back! I’ve been coming here for about 20 years now and have seen a few iterations of a “refresh” in that time. This new 50th anniversary refresh is a new high point. The confusing rainbow paint vibe has been replaced with a classic, cozy, upscale feel that makes the restaurant feel much more welcoming, relaxing and comfortable. I love the new hunter green and white style aesthetic and the new gold Gulliftys logo. While the atmosphere hits all the right notes from the outset, the menu refresh is equally impressive. The menu is expanded and diversified. It feels more upscale while maintaining its approachability. Gulliftys has long taken pride in having more “from scratch” items on their menu than most American themed restaurants and it shows. A lot of their sauces are homemade and they even make their own ice cream. My wife was ecstatic at the depth and breadth of their gluten free options, with a huge number of dishes being gluten free or gluten friendly with swaps. I was personally thrilled to see the return of the French Dip to the menu, which was the best on the main line for many years. It had disappeared in the last refresh but is just as good as I remember with its return. The kids were very pleased with their meals and I was happy to see Gulliftys maintain its quality beer list, which is one of the best of the main line. TLDR we have been hunting for a new “home” for nights when we want to go out and relax as a family. Pre-pandemic that was Iron Hill before that flamed out spectacularly. With their 50th anniversary refresh Gullifty’s has firmly staked claim to that mantle in our family and I expect this will be the first choice that comes to mind any time we decide we want to head out to relax and have a great meal together.
I had the grilled salmon sandwich with watermelon and the Irish crème chocolate chip cheesecake. OMG! I love this place. I hope I come back again.
I have been a a patron for many, many years and I can honestly say it’s always been amazing, and constantly evolving in only the best ways! The crabcakes are my absolute favorite dish! The drinks are just RIGHT and the staff is nothing short of amazing! Tim is phenomenal, always kind and keeps things smooth and on point! This is definitely a place I’ll always enjoy and continue to support!
Anastasia was our host and server, they were courteous and friendly. Food was good , no complaints. I only needed to add to little salt/pepper, but my crab cakes were excellent with no filler! Salmon was cooked well, not overcooked. The portion of asparagus could have been more than 5 spears, but that’s not a big deal.
I loved everything from the decor to the homemade food and shout out to Brian who was a fantastic server! Can’t wait to come back! I highly recommend the potato skins and any of the deserts!!
Our server Cody, was super nice, very helpful, and always made sure we were satisfied. The food was quite good and the prices were justified. Especially the Argentinian shrimp was phenomenal, and I would definitely get it again! The atmosphere likewise was excellent for a Friday night and fostered a great experience. Overall a very pleasant visit.
Beautiful restaurant with a very exciting outdoor seating. Lots of food options and a great selection of brews. I would definitely recommend trying any seasonal specials. Appetisers are a good quantity and well made.
Our server Leo, was one of the best servers I've ever had. His warmth and knowledge of the menu were both exceptional. His recommendations were excellent!
Very nice restaurant! We loved the food! The service was great, too! Very comfortable and spacious inside. Highly recommended! 👍
Gullifty's is a Main-Line classic. They have an interesting variety of classic comfort foods and modern gems. When I want to go somewhere that I know will get my comfort staples right and allow me to mix it up from time to time, I go to Gullifty's. My all-time favorite is their Bourbon Barbecue Wings and dipping sauce. I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. And sunny Get me started on the simple, crispy joys of a sweet potato fry and yet another unique dipping sauce-- tangy perfection! 🤤 Their desserts are also made in-house, including their ice cream!!! There are very few places left that do it like this. I love the fact that they have outdoor seating from the spring on as well. I'm SO excited that they'll be celebrating 50 years soon, and I will be there for it!!!
This was my first time eating at Gullifty’s, the food was incredible, the atmosphere was relaxed and calming & the service was great.. Ava was our waitress, she was very sweet, very patient with my client, I will definitely be returning for a personal date.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Gullifty’s, and it turned out amazing! The food kept coming even after everyone’s stomachs were full, and the variety was delicious. For just $25 per person, we got a salad, side, and two entrees—but the best part was that we could select three different types of pizzas. For an additional $6, their array of homemade cakes and pies was unbeatable. It was such a great experience—definitely one of the most affordable options on the Main Line! Highly recommend Gullifty’s for anyone looking for great food and fantastic value.
Here every Thursday for a Rotary meeting and they never disappoint! Fried mozzarella balls are top notch.
Stopped in for lunch with my husband — we haven’t been in years — it did NOT disappoint! Decent value and great service.
Food was awesome as usual. I love their fresh homemade fried mozzarella with both marinara and honey mustard sauces. Their Bourbon BBQ Burger is awesome too as are their other ones. I always love a burger with fries, and sides of creamy garlic ranch and sweet thai chili sauces for dunking.
It was an amazing experience. Food was excellent! I had the Shrimp and Steak Fajitas and the French onion soup. The service was pleasant and very attentive. Our waiter was knowledgeable and offered some great suggestions! On top of that, I had a delicious blood orange martini. Highly recommended.
I hosted my high school reunion party at Gullifty's (approx 25+ people) and it was perfect! Jason made sure everything was taken care of for us. The 'party' menu had great offerings (highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts and Popcorn Chicken!) and pricing was overall very reasonable. They even let me bring some decorations for the inside bar area which made our gathering feel special. I will be back again!!
Jeanette is the greatest server I’ve ever had in my life. I’d give her 1000 stars if possible. She made the night for my girlfriend and I. She deserves her flowers and then some!
Huge thank you to Gulliftys for saving our date. My wife and i have two kids so we dont get a chance to go out much. We went on Valentine's Day and even though we accidentally made our reservation for the wrong day they still found us a table...on Valentines Day! They even expedited our order so we would make our movie on time! Service was exceptional, and the food, delicious! I only wish we had had more time to enjoy it. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant!
We hadn't dined at a Gullifty's since 1989 in Elkins Park, PA. We moved away for many years and recently returned to the Philly suburbs. We were pleases to discover that Gullifty's was in Bryn Mawr, PA. The food was just as great as ever. Of course, the menu had changed from many years ago. Jeannette K. was our server and she was so friendly and helpful in answering our questions about some menu items. She made us feel so welcome and made serving us a personal experience. Jeannette added the crowning touch to our dining experience. Great food, great ambience and terrific service by Jeannette. She gets 5 stars, too!
We had a large group and the owner and servers were so attentive and helpful! The food was delicious, hot, and just as described with decent portions. They just redid the inside of the restaurant and it looks so classy and feels very authentic and is kept very clean. 10/10 would recommend! Definitely coming back! Thank you!
Hard to believe the first time I went to this restaurant was in the early 80s when I was a kid. But they're still putting out really good food at reasonable prices so that must be the key. Had the double smash burger last night and it was fantastic. Wife got a small pizza. Also really good. Great crust texture and flavor. Very good quality pepperoni (larger diameter than usual so I think they slice it themselves). Excellent beer list. Outside bar is a nice spot for after work.
This was my family and I’s first time here and it was amazing. Hunter was awesome and helpful. We had our son with us and at times he can be a pain but hunter helped with everything! We will definitely be back
Gullifty’s is an awesome place to eat. Served was very accommodating despite the large group and various orders. Loaded potato appetizer hit the spot. Highly recommend.
Great experience! Food was delicious. Server was friendly and attentive! Will be back...
Place is great. Food is really good too. It's a bit pricey, but worth it. The New York steak is really good. Homemade ice cream is def a stand out on the menu. Really cool ambience. Lots of neat lights hanging everywhere. Nice spot for a first date. Dark and quiet enough to carry on a decent conversation. You should check it out.
Had a solid time! Love the refresh of the decor. Food was good. Drinks were ice cold. John, our server, was awesome! Thanks dude!
The atmosphere is great, the food is great, but I was most impressed with the gracious customer service I observed. To the manager, keep up the good work!
A very reasonably priced restaurant with evened food. The bar is beautiful and welll stocked. Service was friendly and attentive.
Went here for the first time. The food was good but the portions are pretty small compared to other places around it. I got lunch special. The chicken diablo flatbread was decent. Lots of things to pick out from though. They got some really good sauces though. In addition, to the small portions the prices are fairly high. But I still enjoyed it
Great bar service from Ashley. The pizza was amazing. The parking is good. The prices are fair.
Great food and drinks. We had the hummus plate and the BBQ chicken pizza..amazing! Four stars due to us having an open table reservation and no table was ready for us, it ended up working out though.
Main stay on the main line. Been in business a long time and we’re still coming here. Had the French Onion Soup, very good. Garden Grilled Cheese is a solid choice. Filet tip salad always good. Fast friendly service.
Excellent food and great bar drinks menu. We love coming here. It's almost an hour away for us, but whenever we're in the area, we always stop in. Burgers are great, pizzas great but my new favorite is the hot fried chicken sandwich. Order extra pickles!
Very nice. Great food. Not a long wait for our dinner food but for our desserts, we ( me and 2 other friends with one of their parents ) ordered the killer cookie and it was about a 30 minute wait and cake out half burnt. Great servers though!
Very nice update of our favourite family place of 35 years ago. The dining area is nicer, well done. The server was excellent. Hard to evaluate the food because I just had an omelet and my wife had a tasty apple-infused french toast, not gourmet foods that take much culinary skill. The menu is extensive and has many items we will want to order in future. The prices are reasonable, too.
First time there, anniversary dinner, they were awesome! Ribs were fall off the bone, old fashion had a perfect balance, alligator tacos are flavorful and approachable. Server was a bit inexperienced, but for probably being in college and working, didn't hold that against him. WILL BE BACK!
This restaurant actually has a nice vibe, spacious and good service. I liked that it has many tvs, so its a good and casual place to catch up some games. But when it comes to the food, I’d say, except the wings we ordered was just ok, the rest were a C minus. Especially the nachos, it’s not nachos, it’s flat bread, but somehow they call it nachos, and it tasted like frozen flat bread. I might go back there for couple beer and wings, not formal food.
My family went to lunch yesterday and the service was amazingly poor and slow. I think it was just our waiter because the other waitress’s were working very hard. We had the brussel sprouts, fried pickles, Ruben and fish & chips all which were really good. The kids meal cheeseburger looked like it was at a gas station convenience store. Definitely not a smash burger. One side of the grilled cheese was burned and my other daughter ordered pasta with butter and there were about 25 noodles. Odd because the adult food was delicious. The restaurant itself was not busy. It took about 15 min to receive our appetizers then almost immediately after 2 of the 3 kids meals came out. Then about 5 min later the other kids meal and Rueben came out and then fish and chips followed a few min after. Finally when I received the bill they charged us for the kids drinks but did take them off when I questioned it. Lunch to me should be about a 45 min experience. We were there close to 90 min. I would not go back.
Atmosphere is beautiful and cozy .Waiter was a young man I hate to say it but he was horrible and unattentive and he refused to talk louder over the loud music and football game playing in the background. The game exceeded pass the volume level it shouldve been at. There were times the waiter walked pass us and didn't check on us another time when he could have he was on the opposite corner of the restaurant watching the game instead of tending to his guest. On top of that the food was horrible the flatbread was hard as a rock . I returned it after the manager walked pass to check on us . He was very professional and showed that he cared about our experience. He offered something else on the menu I told him no worries we have a pizza coming out. The waiter came back to the table afterwards but didn't apologize for the kitchens flatbread the least he could've said was " we apologize for that the manager is taking care of it " nothing but he did take the small amount of trash off the table surprisingly. The drink I had wasn't that great either and Unfortunately the pizza had no flavor at all. The dough was amazing but the rest of the pizza was trash. Highly disappointed being it was my first time there . Husband just ate the rest of the pizza even though he didn't like it either. The onion soup was pretty good though. The manager came back to check on us to see if we liked it. I gave him my honest opinion he offered more seasoning toppings to make it better but that didn't help either unfortunately lol but his customer was superb we appreciated that he might as well had been our waiter that night. I didn't complain to him about the waiter because I was already fed up and done with the place .
We had Gullifty’s a few months ago and the experience was so bad that I still think about it to this day. All the food was obviously reheated or just cooked from frozen, nothing was good, everything was expensive. Waiter forgot multiple orders multiple times, hilariously bad experience. I only give 2 stars because it was so bad it was funny
I'm not even that old but I remember a time managers took care of their customers when mistakes are made. Tonight we ordered takeout that was suppose to be ready 38-43 mins (ordered at 6:41pm but wasn't ready until after 8pm) We were told the kitchen was backed up, okay great it's a Saturday night, the patio seemed really busy the inside was not. The French dip was missing au jus, the sandwich and pizza were cold, the filet over mash was cold, seems like our food was probably ready and just sitting out, no manager in sight. Id love to have them make this right so I can delete this review, but my patience is short these days when take out meals cost over $100
What a disappointment...we just left. The food took a while, which was fine, however, the service was terrible. Our server, who I won't name, was more interested in flipping her hair than providing quality service. We had to ask another server where our food was because our server was no where to be found. Neither followed up or provided any updates that kitchen and bar were backed up. We were given our check while still eating dinner. We just paid and left. Overpriced food and really disappointing service. Server was condescending and aloof - she can't "control the wait times:. The place was chaos and no one was attentive. We will not be back.
