Franziska is a cozy neighborhood restaurant that excels in serving hearty breakfast. Given its popularity, reservations are recommended as they get very busy during breakfast time. All orders are prepared fresh, so be sure to allow some time for your meal to arrive. The wait is well worth it, as the food is fantastic. This cozy little restaurant offers great food and friendly staff. Our waiter, Feli, was super nice and attentive, adding to the positive experience. Franziska is a must-visit while in Budapest, especially on the Buda side!

A quaint cafe serving classic breakfast / brunch dishes with plenty of vegan options and a good selection of smoothie bowls. 🪟 We got a table by the window which was perfect for people watching and basking in the morning sun☀️ We opted for an eggs Benedict which was pretty good, but I definitely recommend the peanut butter toast. 🍞 Peanut butter toast sounds like the simplest breakfast one could make at home, but the delightful addition of almonds, pomegranate, barley, granola and banana totally elevates this simple bread. 🍌 The contrasting textures, tastes and sensations makes it extra scrumptious. Lovely place for a brunch affair!

Very cute and cosy little restaurant/café. We went there for lunch and the food and drinks were delicious. You should definitely try their home made lemonades! There were several vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. The staff was super friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The menu is available in English as well. Prices were adequate. Can absolutely recommend!

Tried their Turkish Eggs, Veggie Benedict and a hot chocolate. It was delicious except the hot chocolate, though the presentation was great. The waiter politely helped us to find us a seat. And the place is affordable and instagrammable at the same time. The bill already includes the service charge, so no need to tip again and the bill you have to pay at the counter, they won’t come to you. Including the service charge, it was 25.5€ for us.

The best breakfast ever! Was recommended to come here by someone on YouTube from Budapest.....he wasn't wrong! It was the most beautiful food, gorgeous coffee, fab menu with loads of choice. Sad we didn't get to go back during our stay! Service was good, but it can get very busy so things did take a while to come BUT do not let that put you off at all as it's so so worth it. Really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this place. The breakfast was perfect. I had the three scrambled eggs toast and a berry smoothie. The service was very good too. I would recommend coming here at least once.

Absolutely fabulous spot for brunch. Food is fresh and very tasty! The sausage was amazing. Coffee was also good. Just a personal preference but prefer coffee in a mug and not a glass but overall honestly a fabulous breakfast. Great value for money 🙌🏻

Here I go again. I promised to give a second chance to this breakfast place and it worth the try. When eating out, my first choice is eggs benny especially with salmon. So as today. The muffin was soft and cheese cream was delicious with the smoked salmon on top. Can’t get enough of it. The atmosphere of the patio feels like I am on vacation which I am not. So probably better to get back to businesses. Try it out yourself, great food, cool place.

Good as always. We came back again for a breakfast. I love the salmon benedict and the caffe latte. Pancake is good as well. Cozy place, good food and coffee. What else :)

Super cute place with awesome food! I would highly recommend essentially anything on the menu, but especially the eggs Benedict, Turkish eggs, and power pancakes. This was also a great place for anyone looking for gluten free options and is definitely celiac friendly.

The place is wonderful with amazing people who works here for ages and do the best for this place . Thank you guys . The most important to avoid meeting arrogant owner . The breakfast and brunch are so good , the food is absolutely delicious. Omelets , scrabble eggs , bowls , bakery etc etc are so good . They have amazing terrace but you need to bill 2-4 days in advance . I will definitely recommend this place

Franziska is my favourite place to have an avocado toast. I’ve tried many, but theirs is the best. The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is kind and friendly , and even when is busy, you can manage to get a table.

Cozy little restoran under the Fisherman Bishop in Buda part. Just a little gate away from the long walk around. The girls were super kind even they help us with car parking. The food was very tasty and juicy. The service also was fast and with a smile. I recommand this to anyone!

My favourite brunch place in Budapest. I eat in Frenzisca regularly and I have tried lots of types of foods and all of them were very tasty and healthy.🤤🥙🧇🍓🫐 So must try. 🥰 My favourites are Hazelnut waffle, smoothie bowls, Zucchini noodles, Nordic bowl, daily soups and dirty flamingo vanilla chai.

That was good! It was my most expensive meal in Budapest 😅 but it was full of aesthetics and flavors! There is everything that a modern consumer needs: gluten free, vegan and healthy but even apart of mentioning it it was simply beautiful!

Great restaurant, all staff are very friendly. If you want brunch, stop by their restaurant. Everything is great, the espresso tastes interesting and goes well with their desserts. If you want to come, it is recommended to book in advance, or you can come directly if you are not in a hurry.

What a cozy and sophisticated place! Staff was really nice, food was served quickly and was so damn delicious. When you visit Fisherman's Bastion early morning then you can't miss breakfast or brunch in Franziska. It' s so worthy!

The homemade waffle was fantastic—warm and not sweet at all, making the jam and fruits a perfect complement. It was beautifully presented as well. I really loved it!

The place is very nice especially if you can sit outside it has a very nice atmosphere. The service is very nice, and speaks good English as well. The food is beautifully presented. The eggs Benedict was perfect, the Waffel maybe could have used a minute more in the waffle iron. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Just 10 minutes walk from the fisherman’s bastion. Pretty place, good specialty coffee, great brunch place. We sat outside, service was great and flexible. We enjoyed it.

One of the best places for brunch. We visited it twice and everything we tried was very tasty. The service is also at a high level, the waitresses are very kind and helped us in choosing food. The cappuccino and the smoothies are also very good. Highly recommend it. 👌🏼

A lovely establishment with prompt and exceptionally friendly service. Despite the café being quite busy, we were fortunate to be seated in the cozy side room. The pancakes and coffee were both delicious. Highly recommended!

Trust me , it’s a very clean and tasty restaurant specially for breakfast, they are very fast to deliver our order to our table which is fantastic cuz in this city they took ages to deliver our orders. From the moment you enter, the welcoming and warm atmosphere is catching. The food is delicious especially the brunches, the girls are always glad to help. This is the place where you feel the local traditions and vibe.

My wife and I came down from Buda Castle and stopped into this place for some brunch and a coffee. The food was so good. The smoothie’s were sensational and coffee too. If you’re looking for a healthier brunch this place is it.

Great little cafe on Buda side serving all day brunch, pastries and coffee. The eggs and avocado toast was delicious and the cafe looks adorable with a peaceful atmosphere.

Saturday morning and no reservation, so thought had no chance for my family to get in. Somehow a table opened up. Service was prompt and food was very good, but the coffee was spectacular. Could just sit there all day drinking the coffee and people watch.

Our company of 5 visited this place on a busy Monday morning. It was rather full, but we were asked to wait 5minutes to be seated and, indeed, as promised, we were seated and placed our order in short time. Coffee is supergood, the food is delicious. Staff is friendly and speaks fluent English. It's clean and cosy to visit with friends or with kids.

After a long trip by train, I found this place to grab breakfast, place was nice and quiet. I ordered the white scrambled eggs with extra mushrooms, flavour was good and portion size good as well according to the price. However, service was not the greatest, waitress looked annoyed and not friendly, I have worked in the hospitality industry before and part of the success in a restaurant is the service, so that’s the only reason I am rating 4 instead of 5 stars.

Delicious brunch, had the vegan option with an egg. Also had the toast with cashew butter, banana, home made granola and raspberry sauce, very nice but would have liked more banana 😁. My friend had the savoury pancakes with ricotta, melted cheese, bacon and a poached egg. It was huge but also very nice. Would definitely recommend and go back as lots of choice and great quality ingredients.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Asked for the brewed coffee, as the mug wasn't pre warmed, the coffee got cold quite quickly. Eggs Benedict time, eggs were nice and warm, the rest of the dish, cold, getting everything colder every second, a pity as the flavour was quite good. The cappuccino was delicious.

Ordered the avocado toast and cashew bowel. The toast was very average tasting and to add an egg it is an extra cost. The cashew butter bowel tasted yummy but was very liquidy in texture. The lattes were also good but nothing amazing. They do have indoor and outdoor seating available.

I liked how quickly they served, surpassingly fast for such a full morning Loved the coffee - bitter and not sour at all However the food was just average for the price, and number of vegan options is much more limited than what I’d expect from a hipster place like this one. The pear-cardamom oatmeal was extremely plain - might be too much tahini? But if one intends incorporate tahini into sweet oatmeal it shouldn’t be overwhelming should it?

We came here for a light lunch the other day. I ordered their Golden Milk which was ok, I wasn’t the biggest fan of it. My boyfriend had their cappuccino and said it was delicious. I tried their Island Bliss Bowl and it was ok. It wasn’t served cold which was odd for being a smoothie bowl and it had a weird taste to it. My boyfriend tried their açaí bowl which was good, but we’ve had better. He also noted that it was odd it wasn’t served cold either. The place has a pleasant atmosphere and I’m sure the rest of their food is good, we just didn’t really enjoy what we got. It is a little on the pricey end.

Arguably one of the best breakfasts in town. The poached eggs and vegan breakfast are excellent, as are the cappuccino and chai latte. But there are problems with the service. The staff are brash, pushy, not at all friendly. It completely spoils the atmosphere of the place.

Would not recommend if you are expecting to have your brunch for around an hour. Waited in line on Sunday morning for 15 mins, took 10mins before we order then we waited 40mins for our food. Our coffee came fairly quick but my latte was just lukewarm. Food is average at best for my Salmon Benedict, the smoothie bowl was slightly better. Overall average experience with the price we paid…
