Opinions de 99 Fast Food Restaurant Buffalo
Today I had lunch with great friends and amazing food! 99 Fast Food had many options, and none of them we chose disappointed. We all started with warm jasmine tea, a freshly made tofu spring roll, and a Vietnamese egg roll. The appetizers came out quick and were delicious! For food we got Pho with Tofu, Chicken Stir Fry, and Tofu with String Beans. The portions were large, and the food came out hot. The stir fry sauces were absolutely delicious and tasted home made. The pho was my friend’s favorite go-to! Overall, I think 99 Fast Food was a great spot for Vietnamese food! I am excited honestly eager to go back and try more things off their menu!
The Rare Beef Pho soup and spring rolls with peanut sauce are amazing! Awesome food, good service and reasonable prices. Excellent place to eat. Highly recommended.
ordered beef pho and a spring roll, it was amazing. good job👍🏼
Love the food here!! Service is fast and the food is priced well for the amount you get. One of my favorite pho spots in buffalo.
I've been a few times and most recently I was most disappointed only because I want blown away (I got the stir fry). My friend got the curry which was much better. I've had several pho doshes all great too. So, maybe don't get the stir fry as it is a little basic tasting next to the other dishes but it was still good.
I love this place for big hot bowl of pho. It's always delicious and the plate of extras, like bean sprouts, fresh jalapeño slices, and fresh basil, is a nice touch. The spring roll and Vietnamese roll appetizers as well as the pork skewer and short ribs are always good too.
This is one of my favorite places to go to for Vietnamese food in the area. They have a menu offering a variety of dishes and some great options for appetizers. My faves are the spring rolls and Korean bbq ribs. For drinks, the jackfruit drink is excellent. The chicken teriyaki here and lemongrass chicken curry are immaculate! You get the option of white or fried rice and the portions are fairly generous. They also have a vegetarian section so there’s something for everyone and the service is superb!
I have heard over and over that this small Vietnamese restaurant was fantastic. We got some take-out and I was so pleased. Fresh lemon grass and basil flavours. Out standing. Huge portions. Dinner today and dinner tommorow.
We sat down to eat. No one was there which was nice. The food was very good, made on the spot fresh and hot. The portion sizes were HUGE. A lil pricey but we'll worth it. You'll definately be taking some home. Alot of takeout and doordash orders I noticed while there. I appreciated being able to sit down and enjoy a meal without alot of people around. And I went there around 2:45
Food is excellent I eat here about every two weeks. My kids and I love the fried dumplings. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
This is my go-to place for pho. Great prices, service and exceptional food. My favorite is the short rib plate with fried rice. I usually get the soursop shake with it....nutritious and good for the skin...also yummy. The broth for the pho is delicate and clean. Absolutely delicious food here.
I really enjoyed this place! I never had pho before but this made me enjoy it. I've come back twice. What's even more wonderful is that the restaurant is around the corner from UB south so it's easily accessible for a quick lunch or after school dinner with friends. I probably wouldn't feel comfortable going here at night because it's in a sketchy ish area of town
One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the city. Their portions are generous, and the pricing is good, but honestly it's the taste that stands out. I love their vermicelli dishes.
Best pho broth in Buffalo. They have the perfect rice noodles also, not the thin vermicelli that gets bloated quickly. Also accommodating on the special requests (i.e. no bean sprouts, extra basil). Highly recommend with a jalapeño or two and some hoisin. VERY good cold vermicelli noodle dishes. I usually get the pork skewers.
The beef lemongrass curry is off the hook. Hands down one of the best curry dishes I have ever eaten. Everything is fresh and service is quick. The curry is delicious, go get some.
Delicious beef pho and I highly recommend their egg rolls. The vietnamese coffee was darn good too. The service was also fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place for a casual bite to eat.
I've been coming here since 2009. Having lived in both Asia and the U.S., this is by far the best Pho place that I've been. It's so good that my parents, when they visit from the other side of the world, make a point for me to take them here. Try their pho or the pork teriyaki, my favorites.
An excellent location for Vietnamese cuisine. The Phó clear broth touches your soul. The menu is not very large but they have mastered what is on it. Parking sometimes is hard. And the bathrooms are a little dingy and poorly lit, but who cares you don't eat in there.
My family and I LOVE this place. Friendly atmosphere, Great servers, and AMAZING flavor! Don't judge the place by the neighborhood. It's other worldly how comfortable and peaceful the place feels once you get there. Even the patrons bring a comforting, diverse energy to the experience.
Walked in and realized I forgot my wallet. I have Apple Pay and wondered if they accepted it. The restaurant doesn’t but they told me to order on Door Dash and they would serve me here. Now full disclosure.... I prefer Pho Dollar’s Pho to 99, but the customer service that I received makes me come here. Love it here and recommend other to here
Classic hole-in-the-wall pho. 99 Fast Food is the Mom-and-Pop shop that one would think about when they think cheap, delicious, true-to-traditional-flavors pho. Highly recommend. Parking is a bit tough - street parking only, but it’s definitely worth it.
Beautiful delicious Pho. Amazing how you feel after slurping down a large bowl. Real and super fresh ingredients make you actually buzz. Slurp with the PROS!!! Sorry, I'll grab a pic next time through.
Delicious food, amazing price. If you go get number 36, my absolute favorite and you have to try the Avocado Milkshake, unreal! Very good staff and great atmosphere. Oh and the Pho is next level!! Try this place, it will not disappoint your vietnamese cravings.
I've been a loyal customer for a few years now. The pho here is absolutely to die for. I have never had a bad bowl. The broth is always so delicious and all the other ingredients are so fresh. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially for the amazing pho!
I have been going here for at least 15 years. Back in the day they had a Niagara St. location. The pho is as good as some I've had in Toronto. The appetizers are all great. Lemongrass chicken is delicious! All the rice vermicelli dishes with different skewers are as good as it gets in Buffalo. Service can get behind sometimes, but that's because they are always busy. A lot of Students eat here, always a good sign of authenticity. I would recommend this place to everyone, even people who are scared of Vietnamese cuisine. The parking here is street only so you may have to walk some distance. Also don't let the location fool you, because you'll miss out on a hidden gem.
Best Vietnamese food around!! The menu is not marked with gluten free options but the staff are very knowledgeable and will help you. I love the pho and vermicelli dishes. You cannot beat these prices either!
There is no comparable pho to 99. I have been enjoying enjoying their phos,, fresh spring rolls and dumplings for 20+ years. I started eating there when they were downtown. Something about the broth is amazing. Once you go there you always wanna go there
I've been ordering here for years and the food is delicious every time! Best pho in the buffalo area
This humble place uses exceptional choice meat as well as the broth. No fat, lean slices of meat, no oily broth whatsoever. Noodles used are not starchy and does not soak up the soup. One of the cleanest and best Pho!
My go-to place for pho! Fast, authentic, and delicious. I always order their Vietnamese egg roll and pho tai. Been coming here often for the past 4 years with no complaints. Whenever the weather gets chilly or I feel under the weather, their pho always warms me up and makes me feel so much better. Same deal with my friends and roommates.
This place is simply the best. The service is great, the food comes quick, portions are large and all very reasonably priced. The menu offers alot of options for picky eaters (like myself) and for those wanting a large range of Vietnamese cuisine.
One of my favorites in the area. #41 is the best dish with the vermicelli and pork skewers. Their fresh spring rolls are amazing. The food is just fantastic.
My husband, son and I were in town recently and sought out this place based on good reviews. The reviews were right. This restaurant is clean and inviting. It is low key and relaxing. Seat yourself. Everything you need from napkins to condiments to chopsticks and spoons is right there at the table. Our waiter greeted us with tall glasses of ice water and menus. We placed our order and it wasn't long before he returned with it, piping hot. One of us had chicken and pork teriyaki over rice and said it was delicious. Others of us had pho and it was really satisfying. Leftovers were consumed that night. We're really glad we stopped in and will be back.
A hidden gem. Staff and food are amazing. Utilitarian but clean and well maintained seating.
Short ribs and skewers are insanely flavorful and taststy, it's marinaded in some intense dark soy sauce. Noodle soup is amazing, the soup is light yet refreshing and delightful, meat in the bowl is delicious. It's the best noodle soup I had in a long long time. Not to mention, price is really really good. Easily best Vietnamese restaurant in Buffalo region.
We did not have high expectations for Vietnamese food in Buffalo, but this restaurant serves legit food. We had the goi cuon (spring roll), combo broken rice plate (com tam suon nuong bi trung), combo vermicelli bowl (bun cha gio thit nuong tom), pho, and bun bo hue, and everything tasted great and well seasoned. The dishes had plenty of toppings and veggies.
The pho is outta this world. Sometimes the chicken and beef ribs are a little old and dry, the shrimp and raw beef is always excellent. Spring rolls are only ok having lettuce, noodles and choice of meat however the egg rolls are super! You'll 100% be taking some left overs home with you. The place is my favorite
I'm blown away by the amazing experience my friends and I shared here. So. Much. Fun. The food...there aren't words to do it justice. I had to force myself to stop eating! And, still brought home a large leftover portion. The flavors burst! The appearance/presentation: is beauty in a bowl! The staff is so friendly, kind, considerate, sincere...there's so much more I could rave about these beautiful souls! Dedicated to their craft, for sure. Tip them very well, please? Worth every penny. You'll leave, wanting to schedule your next visit already. It's just that good. The egg rolls are sensational! The Pho...give them all a try!
Quick service. Great food. Always a spot to hit up on roadtrips
This is my go-to for Vietnamese food. Service is fast, food is delicious, and prices are reasonable.
This visit was just as good as usual. They're introducing banh mi, and the meatball banh mi was tasty. Now they have several banh mi sandwiches, and the ones I have tried are certainly tasty
Love the food here. Been coming in for about 8 years. I usually get pho and spring rolls. Not sure how the other items are. Keep in mind this is a chill spot to eat, so you won't get high end dining service, but the food is good, and the people are nice!
Amazing customer service. Great food. Crazy good prices.
Best phö in town and the pork skewers are excellent. Pad thai is also made with much love and skill. Big taste all around, eat here if you like good food
Hands down the best pho around!! Perfect every time, with high quality meat… which can make or break the meal. Outside of the food, the service is excellent!! The owner is always going above and beyond and is always so sweet. I always recommend this place when people say they haven’t had good pho and they’re always able to change their minds! Love it
I saw a review that said this was one of the best pho they’ve had in the country and I rolled my eyes until I had it for myself. We ordered multiple things and it was delicious. They had these mini banh xeo things that were a great snack but the pho broth was so good. They have the noodle to broth ratio just right. I brought some back for family as well and everyone enjoyed it. Services by the manager was great as well, he was friendly and accommodating.
Hands down some of the best Pho I have ever had. The complexity of the delicate broth pared with just the right amount of fresh herbs spices and sauces makes for a very special meal. The staff is always prompt and friendly.
Best place in Buffalo to enjoy a bowl of Pho! Everything was so scrumptious and mouth-watering...Can't tell how many times I order and visit from this restaurant. Oh, their drink selection was also variable with yummy bubble tea, smoothies and coffee per my memory. Handsome and well-organized waiter, I think named Tang/Teng who was well-presented, and keeping track of waters, tables each table. Highly recommend this place!
Good place and excellent customer service!!!!! Today is 4/4/2026 i was drink a lot of vodka and enter to this restaurant. People are always so nice to me and food is always so delicious!!!!!! Today is 2/4/2026, I been to this spot when I was drinking a lot of vodka, I was very very drunk and people treat so friendly. So I have to say a big big thank you to everybody!!!!!!
Delicious food, fast service, and a relaxed atmosphere. The convenient location is near the UB South campus and the VA hospital.
Not my first time here I’ve been here a few times before and the never disappoint just ordered the chicken pho and added shrimp omg so freaking good! The broth is so flavorful! And the short ribs does not disappoint!
As a native Vietnamese who’s been in the States for 12 years and tried Vietnamese food from different states (CA, VA, MD, PA…) this is by far one of the BEST tasting and authentic restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to dine at. Keep up the good work!!!! I lived 2 and a half hour away but will definitely come back here often :)
The best pho in the city of Buffalo - not up for debate. Been coming here for the past 10 years. Never misses. Also, the service is always great. When I come in I don’t even need to say my order anymore lol. I bring everyone who visits Buffalo here. One of the few places left that’s stayed consistent forever!
Ordered take out! Super easy right on their website, picked it up ourselves. 10/10 recommend the vermicelli, we got the combo (shrimp, pork, and egg roll) and one with sausage. (I add an extra pork skewer to mine.. it's worth it!!) As well as two spring rolls, a shrimp and sausage. I've been coming here for years, and it's always great!
Staff is super friendly, bilingual (if you care), awesome food, and have Jackfruit smoothies!!!! I have not seen Lanka in a restaurant in forever. We tried this place for the first time based on a review that said they saw a lot of door dashers picking up orders. And eouldn't you know, right after we ordered, in came a dasher to pick up an order. In fact it looked like he was well known by the staff, so we can attest to that other reviewer too. This has got to be a hidden gem if you don't live in the immediate area.
When I come here I always order the same few items: Pho with raw meat and tendon Barbecued pork over rice Vietnamese eggrolls Pad Thai All of it is pretty much authentic and delicious. The service is normal - what you'd find at any other restaurants. This is my favorite Vietnamese place in Buffalo. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
I’m not from the area so I personally think my review will be helpful to some of the visitors who cares about services. The food was actually pretty great, no words for the food. I am normally chill when I’m giving reviews but this is unacceptable, as we came in, no one was there and their attitude was the kind of early + sleepy attitude, I’m totally understand. But as we were eating, someone came in, and the attitude of asking them was totally different from us? I don’t understand lol.
Always fast service no matter how busy they are. Im probably addicted to their shrimp spring roll already. Great pho and you can customize your topping, just ask.
If you’re a fan of Pho, look no further than 99 Fast food restaurant. The Pho comes out quick and hot; a comfort meal perfect for any occasion. Price to portion ratio is excellent. My last visit though, I ordered Pho without cilantro and they gave me one with cilantro. When I brought it up to the waiter he apologized and returned to the kitchen. He gave my Pho but noticed all they did was pick off the cilantro that was visible. I also would like to add that the location is a bit odd, parking can seem trivial especially when it’s busy. Besides the complaints I’ve mentioned, it’s still a place worth visiting if you’re craving Pho.
I've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years now. They have beautiful, authentic Vietnamese dishes- everything is always fresh and flavorful especially their Pho and teriyaki pork. Just wish they would bring back all of the smoothies : /
Nothing pretentiously or fancy about this place, if you’re looking for ambiance or decor, look elsewhere. However, if you’re looking for a nice hot bowl of Pho or standard Vietnamese dishes, look no further. If you’re getting Pho and can’t decide between the medium and large, get the medium, it’s just less broth with all the same quantities of yummy ingredients. My only gripe is every time I’ve ordered appetizers they come either immediately before the meal or simultaneously. Pay at the counter.
Decent local Vietnamese food. They service is fast and the menu is very consistent. It is among the best southeast Asian we have in Buffalo but there is not much to choose from. There could be better places out there but there simply aren't, so this is out go to.
Been coming here since 2010 back in the day while I was in college. Arguably the best spot for pho in town. Their other items are good too but I think the portion can be a little larger. One item doesn’t satisfy me. I need 1.5 to be satisfied. Other than that it’s all good. Come get their pho and enjoy!
great food but the cleaning spray they use to clean the tables is absolutely nauseating, and not great to inhale whilst dining in. please consider an alternative cleaning spray, such as a lavender or tea tree oil cleaning spray or something. one star taken off because of that.
It was okay. Place look DIRTY, from the area carpet to the doors and walls. You can see the DIRT. I ordered pho pork. It was ok it were more meat in the soup and more sauce and lemon on the side Overall not too bad.
Got chicken pad thai and it was ok at best. Mainly just noodles without a lot of sauce or other ingredients. The chicken tasted plain like it had just been added to the noodles with ant seasoning. 1/3 of the takeout box was bean sprouts. I like bean sprouts, but feel like they were just trying to fill up the box with something cheap.
The food was very fresh and well made I was satisfied 😋. But it was too hot for me. I like the way that I had to put it together for my one taste. I used everything. Next time I won't eat the hot peppers. Ill take a picture next time I visit an give my review.
The food is very gud but minus 2 stars cuz of the service attitude of the staff
The food was OK. The Beef Broth tastes and looks like it's instant or bouillon, not fresh or homemade. The Chicken was bland and not seasoned at all. The portion was fair for a single large take out serving. The Pancakes were not enjoyable at all; although they might not be to my standards of flavor, someone else might enjoy them. Definitely needed more Lime and Red Onion for the finishing ingredients. Not really an unforgettable meal, but it's definitely filling.
Ordered pho dac biet, bun bo hue, pho bo vien and Thai iced tea. Total came out to $85 and gratuity was included which came around a little over $100. Pho was a little on the watery side but it had meats though they were missing the tripe unfortunately. The Vietnamese meatballs were cut into slices so I’m guessing two meatballs total but cut into basically 6-7 slices. Bun bo hue wasn’t spicy. It was just hot and very watered down. Staff was really nice, there were a bunch of flies or mosquitos just flying over us and the food which was annoying. Made us look crazy in there swatting our hands lol Thai iced tea was $5 a cup and it wasn’t sweet. More tea than cream. A little on the empty side and there wasn’t a parking lot. Street parking but the area looks very abandoned. But it was my first time in Buffalo and that might just be normal for everyone there.
If you’re going to serve food in the patio part of the restaurant, you should keep it warm. It was very uncomfortable. I’m sure you could afford a better type of heat to warm it up. The dinner was good, but I was not happy having to eat dinner with my coat. It did not really warm up any point. Would not do that again.
Pretty shamed, customer service was ridiculously terrible, got my food really late, after seeing that other customers that came after me got their food before me it makes me feel that they don't pay attention to their orders, also when we were done with 1 dish, they didn't bother picking it up. But all i can say is that the food is pretty decent, only thing that is terribly bad is the customer service, needs to improve on communicating. If they can improve this, i would rate it a lot higher, but for now i don't think so.
Order an extra large Pho. They ONLY give you ONE quart of broth!!!!! They will charge you $4.00 for another quart of extra broth. Very disappointing. It's like charging for condiments. Come on! Its broth, and I ordered an XL!!!! Ameture hours at Pho 99.
The portions here are small for the price. Beef pho lacked depth and flavor, but the brisket wasn't bad. Pork chop rice plate was so skimpy for the large size...wonder what the small would've looked like. Overall, food just tasted meh. Came here because the reviews but left very disappointed.
Took 2 hours to get our food. Pho is bland and oily! I’ve never had greasy pho before, gross. Saigon or Pho Spot is so much better. My husband ordered the beef short ribs which was all these tiny bones and tons of fat. Would never order here again.
Ive been a regular for about a year now and the food has declined sadly. My favorite was the beef short ribs but they refuse to cook them theralry and rarely follow special instructions. My food was RAW. Not wasting my money there anymore that's for sure!
The Shrimp Pad Thai I ordered for take out not only smelled like Jack Eichel took a bath in the noodle water after practice, but also contained hair. The service was very friendly but, nonetheless, hair in food is absolutely unacceptable. I hear they have great pho and their dumplings were actually amazing, but my friend and I agreed that this Pad Thai may have actually been the worst food we've ever had. Avoid the pad thai. Cheers.
So I ordered a few pho with friends and everyone’s pho was proportioned well where mine was so small. Then I realized there was a guy inside the kitchen who looks out to see what type of customers enter before he preps the food. My guess is he adjusts the proportions based on your looks. Very bias and very unprofessional way of doing business. Proportions should be equal in size no matter who the customer is. Greatly disappointed cause I left still feeling hungry. Every pho place I’ve been to has left me full with one large bowl except this one. You might need 3 orders to get enough for a large proportion. Or weigh a 1000lbs and maybe you’ll get a better proportion or maybe an even smaller proportion. Who knows except the lookout in the kitchen
Ordered fried rice and the vegetables are still frozen. I also ordered spring rolls which they ended up giving me only half of what I ordered. They not only upcharge you when you order online but they also don't get your order right. And the next time I ordered they were 20 mins late. I had to wait a total of one hour for my food to be ready after ordering it online
The best pho in the world...it was but these new waiters have no customer service skills at all. 12/11/21...Me and my father stopped in to eat and we must of sat there for over 20 minutes before one of 2 took our order. It's only because my father finally said something. They don't even act like they want to be there. Frowns and attitudes. This went from a 5 stars to one. Please fix this before I have to find a new place.
1st time here Wednesday 10/21/20. I ordered #24 large ($12) stir-fry! I ordered my meal with chicken, beef, and pork! NOT FISH!!!!! Why does my food taste like fish? There are no people here to manage food handling regulations. Asian/Americans either don't have the skills or don't care about cross-contamination! I told the owner it was my first time here!!! I guess i shouldn't expect people from outside of the US of A to open up businesses here and comply with the laws! i.e. eat at your own risk here!
I usually enjoy 99 fast food until today. I ordered pad thai through door dash, and they sent me chicken soup. I ordered again, thinking it was a one time mistake...and they sent me soup AGAIN. Pad thai does not come with a broth, so either the employee is lazy and isn't reading the order thoroughly,, or they are totally clueless. When I called the restaurant directly, he admitted the mistake but could not send me my correct order because "he was the only employee working." Now I have 2 orders that I don't want. Very annoying.
