Opinions de Falley Allen Buffalo
I read good things about the Roast Beef on week at the Galley Allen decided to order try for 25-30 ppl seems like far price so I placed the order for pickup. This was for a dinner funeral for my dad. Everyone brought a dish, the Roast Beef on week I tell ya was the first dish gone in 10 mins or so. Fantastic place awesome choice of beef they use too!!! Must give it try if you're ever ordering Roast Beef on weck in the WNY area.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere of Falley Allen makes you feel right at home, with beautiful wood tables and unique wall decor. The menu had a wide variety of options that made it hard to make a decision, since it all sounded amazing. We split several appetizers including the hummus, salt and pepper shrimp, and pork bao buns. Each of these were impressive and perfectly made! For the entree I split the fresh market halibut and the pear and gorgonzola pizza. Both entrees made it clear that the Chef was incredibly skilled, with a combination of amazing flavors and presentation! We also had the chocolate chip cookie dessert which was worth leaving room for. 10/10 and 100% will be returning!
The food was next level. Service was on point. I was really surprised by the atmosphere. Might be the only place on Allen street that doesn’t smell like piss. Will be making this a regular stop on my bar hopping
Celebrated my cousin's 40th birthday here. It was amazing, it's an amazing place every time I've been.
The wife and I recently visited Falley Allen a day after the Allentown Art Festival, so the place was not packed and the staff had just been through a very busy weekend. But, our waiter was fantastic and the food was perfect! We had a lobster roll as an app and I had the braised short ribs beef on weck....both were fantastic! The wife had a shrimp dish that she also loved. We will be back!
Super fun staff, food was outstanding, and drinks were unbeatable. This has been a favorite spot for my friends and I for years. If you need a go to brunch spot, it’s Falley Allen.
Went for brunch on a Sunday. Took a minute to find parking but it was manageable. We were able to sit by the bar without a reservation, our food came quickly, and while the French toast wasn't 100% what I expected it was absolutely delicious!
Amazing food with a nice twist on the typical bar fare you'd find at similar places in the area set it apart and the prices are incredible. Weekend nights are great for nightlife as it's one of the most popular places for people of all ages since it opened to go out and enjoy themselves with great drinks from awesome bartenders that are always quick!
We like this bar whenever we feel like having a quick drink. It gets crowded after a certain hour because it is on Allen St but if you come early, you can really enjoy the nice bar and good drinks.
They were short staffed but the service was great. It took a little long to get the food but it was delicious and worth the wait. The specialty drinks were fantastic
The food is always amazing here. It took a long time for our meal to come out though. We waited about a half an hour or so and there was only one other table and their meal was already in progress. In the end though, it was definitely worth the wait!
Awesome restaurant and bar. If you are looking for good food and drinks and a place to enjoy yourself late night then this is the place. Not sure many restaurants can do both. Definitely need to order a Mr Mason off the cocktail menu and the stuffed banana pepper flatbread is amazing.
Always a great time, atmosphere is nice and comfortable. They did some remodeling, Food is great, unique entrees and appetizers with generous portions. Staff is great, very attentive and personalable.
This place was absolutely amazing our waitress was attentive and polite.... drinks were very good and the food perfect made it all come together. Space was a lot bigger in the inside than I thought. They definitely have a returning customer.
One of the best, most underrated brunch spots in Buffalo. Their $25 bottomless mimosas are an amazing deal and food is so good. We come here to start out a girls day and it’s the best way to do it
Got a reservation real easy over messanger. Nice atmosphere in their outdoor seating, which had a projection of the football game on. Drinks were bomb, apps were a little smaller then expected but my entree and dessert were delicious. Finished the whole thing, which never happens! So glad we visited ☺️
This spot is a VIBE! I brought my up to Buffalo for her birthday. We stopped here to get a small bite and a drink before hopping around Allen Town. Food was on point, it was laid back. Then we hopped around, we were about to get in the Uber to head to the hotel. My wife heard a nice range of hip hop music from Falley Allen and she said let's go back in. Totally different Vibe! People were dancing around, with a DJ. The DJ played music from the early 2000s through newer music. The DJ was having a blast Dancing around. The age range of customers was from early 20s- 40s. Great place to do both!
Absolutely amazing! We had the skillet pretzel bites, crispy chicken sandwich, Mac n cheese and the French onion burger. One of those meals that the first bite makes you close your eyes and smile! Excellent place all around.
Carey was absolutely amazing!!! Had our food out quickly, smiled the whole time all while they were getting slammed from graduations
Great food and service! The quality of the food was as good as you get at an expensive restaurant. On Thursdays they have a selection of wines for $20 a bottle. We had a Super Tuscan which we enjoyed very much. The corn chowder soup, roasted beet salad, and flat bread wild mushroom pizza which we shared were all excellent. The ambiance is low key with patrons donning business suits and others in jeans. We will be back!
Great Brunch spot!!!. The chicken and waffle combination was flavorful. Must try their specialty brunch drinks.
One of my favorite places to grab brunch! The new food menu is absolutely delicious, with an awesome deal for mimosas! The staff is super friendly which creates a overall great experience!
Jaclyn was the absolute best server!!! She was so accommodating and super friendly. The food was amazing!! Highly recommend
Gio deserves a raise. He is a saint and handling all of buffalo after a bills playoff win. Please give him a raise.
Guy in the backwards hat gave great service. Made us chicken fingers when the kitchen was closed since he had time. 10/10
The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced. Each dish left a lasting impression.
Amazing place highly recommend Falley Allen to everyone the food is always good from the brunch to the dinner options! All the bartenders are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the martini flights are like no other!!!
Jaclyn was an incredible server, a total vibe. The service was fast & friendly. The food was amazing & I can’t wait to come back for brunch next time!
Jaclyn was absolutely wonderful! Best service. Full drinks. Amazing food. I could not name a better place for brunch!
Went here for their Halloween brunch , everything was amazinggggg!! From the food, drinks, to the service it was all great! So creative with their seasonal menus and events , I’ll definitely be coming back for their next themed brunch !
Great spot for a few drinks and a small group. They generally handle the bar well, even when one half of the place is booked for a private event. I can't say I've ever ordered food but I had a friend that swore by the nachos that looked like they came out in a (unused) paint can. There's definitely some nice personal touches on things. It's a nice looking place on the inside and it sets itself apart from the other places on the street. There's some nice separation between the area with the tables and an area just for bar service. They have a couple of (working) dart boards in good spot where people won't be dodging darts. Don't overlook this place as an average bar, it's got too much charm for that.
The customer service is above and beyond here, thank you Jill! I love the brunch here. I can’t wait to head back for more holiday themes when the seasons are here. The espresso martini flight is 15/10. Cheers!
REVIEW UPDATE (MARCH 2024) Wanted to check out there Thursday night wing special and I was not disappointed. Not sure how long the promotion will run for, but right now they have 50 Cent wings and three dollar domestic bottles beer specials. For my wing choices that night, I got the Raspberry Bourbon BBQ, Garlic Parmesan, and Honey Sriracha wings. The Honey Sriracha ones the real standouts as they were the perfect balance of crispy and saucy (which I prefer). The wings were all good sized and I really appreciate it that they all had very distinctive taste profiles to for what they were. I enjoyed my meal at the bar and at the time they weren’t to busy yet, but it did pick up as the evening continued on. Seems led like the bartender was the only person working in the front for a while, but he seemed to be handling all the incoming tables pretty well! Definitely looking forward to going back and trying some of the other wings on their menu. And would recommend checking them out on a Thursday night if you want a cheap and delicious meal. (Old review - November 2019) Delicious cocktails, the food is pretty good too.
This is a dope little Allentown location, you can choose between two entrances – one for the bar area and one for the dining area. The dual sided bar acts as a large intermediary between the two distinct sides of the establishment. The bar side is a tight space, for a more intimate feel. The main dining side is a vast wide open space, with plenty of room for everyone to mix, mingle, eat and drink.. The drinks were on point with price, food Chimmichurri Meatballs ($9), Ramen Fried Chicken Fingers ($12), Pork Blade Chop ($18), Wild Mushroom Ravioli ($16) fun personable staff(Hot) will climb to the top shelf for that bottle for you. I'll go out on a limb and saya ‘must visit’ for anyone who goes to the Queen City.
Excellent onion soup, Falley hamburger, and Ba Mi. I was worried about the soup when it came without the layer of cheese on top but plenty of cheese melted into the soup from the cheese toast garnish. The soup was too salty. The Falley burger gets 2 thumbs up, as did the roasted cauliflower side. I would have the Ba Mi again, delicious marinated short rib meat with kimchi on mine.
Nice place, young somewhat rowdy crowd for a 5PM visit. Though it was during the Allentown Art Festival. Great architecture and open feel, great patio. Cook the pizza crusts a little less and PLEASE fix the bathroom door lock ;) Other than that, our waitress was perfect, the drinks cold and food well prepared for a busy afternoon.
Pros: Cool ambiance, drinks & food are really good. Great service from hostess/server/bartender/management. Cons: VERY loud even during dinner hours, not a good place to bring your parents from the burbs, young Friday/Saturday night crowd (think 21-23 year olds)
Our server Shea was wonderful for brunch! Unfortunately no celiac safe options (gluten/wheat allergy) but enjoyed a knowledgeable server.
Falley is a fun time to say the least! Their drinks are always great, and I am a big fan of their brunch and dinner food. One time for brunch they even had $15 bottomless mimosas! Their food is also pretty good too. I haven’t tried everything on the menu, but I can say I am a HUGE fan of their chicken fingers. My only complaints about Falley Allen are the size of the shots, they are super tiny cups and $6 each, and also the wait staff. While I have had some very friendly servers, others have not been as nice. I have had a few that were rude and not apologetic when they messed up our orders. Overall though, fun experience at Falley! Definitely a great place of hangout on weekends in Buffalo.
I went to for brunch just to have drinks and Amanda was at the bar. She was pleasant and gave amazing recommendations for cocktails. I would definitely be coming back . I had a great time and Amanda made sure myself and my friends felt welcomed and comfortable the whole time !!
Cute little spot, friendly crowd. Special holiday espresso martinis were yummy but not as advertised (missing cookies etc) Food slightly over cooked and also not as advertised.
We had brunch after church one Sunday morning. It was a nice experience. The endlesd mimosas flowed nicely and the food was really good.
Not the easiest to get to because of the current road construction, but once we were inside we had a pleasant evening of food and drinks. The pizza was average and the pretzels bites and cheese were really good! Our server was very attentive with refilling our drinks. It was a fun atmosphere with great music.
The appetizers we had were very good. Stuffed peppers and poké. I had the steak special and it was salty but cooked well. My girlfriend had the kimchi rice with chicken and it was tasty but overpriced. A small bowl of rice for $18... I called ahead to see if I could bring my own bottle of wine and pay a corkage fee as I noticed on their site that they only had 4 bottles of red wine listed on their menu and the hostess said no... when we got there the wine we wanted was out of stock so we were down to 3 choices. Either have a better wine selection or let patrons bring their own and pay a corkage, it's free money. The cocktail with the jalapeños was really good. They did do a very nice job remodeling the place, the ambience is cool. They need to figure something out with the bathrooms. For a place with a full dining room, and two full service bars, two SINGLE bathrooms is not enough. I had to wait in a long line in the middle of my dinner. The service was good though. I'll probably just come back for a drink at the bar.
Nice atmosphere, great bartender! Excellent job with Andy D's Billy Ogdens Stuffed Peppers. Best sweet potato frys, really good. Nicely done beef on weck. Fish Fry needs work, seasoning missing and a little overcooked for the thin piece of fish. Kitchen opened @ 5, and with only 3 tables in the place they were out of the scallop special after 2 orders were made, a little odd. Over all nice evening, would go back.
It was just okay. Burger was ordered med rare but came with no pink and too salty. Taco trio was decent but I left hungry. It came with no sides and they were small for $14.
I came for brunch and was very disappointed! I will say I am comparing this to their dinner which was very good and a lot of the dinner options were home made, creative and out of the box. If I come back for dinner in the future I will make sure to write a review. -Let’s start with the positive. The outdoor space here was lovely! There was a lot of space and many tables to accommodate different sized groups. I give 5 stars to the outdoor space and the fact you can make reservations to sit out there. -The staff was all wearing masks and the restaurant appeared to be running well with safety precautions in place. Other diners were wearing masks when not seated at their tables. -The brunch menu looks fantastic, there is something for everyone. There is even a $15 unlimited mimosa option available with the purchase of a brunch item. My group was happy to take part in this. Sadly, I was hoping for the quality of their dinner menu and this is where I was disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken and biscuits and my significant other ordered the steak sandwich. The fried chicken was a processed chicken patty and the biscuit was a Pillsbury Grand. I think the menu should indicate that this is what will be served. There was a slaw and it looked like it had been sitting out in the heat. The sauce looked runny and warm. This kind of food quality doesn’t seem in line with how other dinner items I’ve had here are served. The sweet potato fries were excellent, I’ve had them before. They are large, crispy crinkle cut wedges and probably some of the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. I was told that the steak sandwich was pretty good but the portion size wasn’t very big and $16 seemed pricy for such a small portion. Overall, the saddest part of this was the presentation on these 2 dishes. They looked slapped together, like I was at Mc Donald’s. The fries on the steak sandwich plate were tossed down carelessly. I have taken pictures to show the sloppiness. Other friends got the French toast and the breakfast pizza and those did look nicer, more put together and appetizing. -Finally, I’ll mention the service. The service during the meal was good. Our server was on top of things with the large group and our mimosas were taken care of the entire meal. I wasn’t thrilled with the how the check was handled. First of all, I made a reservation for a large group and wasn’t told in advance we would be at 2 tables. Not a huge deal considering what is going on but it would have been nice to know that up front. It would have also been helpful for the server to split the checks by table. This was not done or offered. At the end of the meal we asked for this to be completed or for bills to be broken down by couple. We were told no and it’s not possible. It wasn’t easy to make sure we were being charged correctly when working with 2 tables, especially while trying to follow the rules with social distancing. Luckily we did check the bill and found a discrepancy, there was a charged $58 for one Bloody Mary. It was taken off without a problem but it was annoying after trying to figure things out on our own. A member of the group was getting restless and wanted to leave. He offered to pay but didn’t know we had a voucher to use. After I realized what happened I asked for the charge to be refunded so everyone could pay separately and I could use the voucher. I was told no, it’s impossible and we could have split the bill before we closed the check. Funny that the story changed after the fact! I know that serving isn’t easy, especially during these times. The servers should think through how to make dining easier for their guests and offer ways to break up the check at the beginning of the meal. -The brunch menu needs work. If you want to dine here I’d suggest coming for dinner unless you are coming specifically for the unlimited mimosas. If you have a large group ask about the check and how it will he handled up front so you aren’t left annoyed like we were.
We stopped in on sunday for brunch, i asked if they had draught beer and i got a NO.. they never said But, we have bottled beer.. i then had to say, Do you have a beer list? And then i got one. The Service was super slow, food came out 35min after we ordered it and was cold. Im usually very understanding but we got no apologies or anything. Multiple people not working were going behind the bar, making their own drinks (im assuming they were employees?) Needless to say that was my First and Last time going there.
Great cocktails, great food - service needs improvement. Wasn’t a wait or anything out of their control just a bit of personality or enjoyment towards the job would have made it a better experience. In the industry guests don’t want to feel like a burden — we are your job.
Menu sounds great, could be better executed. Some dishes were good, others were so salty they were practically inedible.
Ordered a Pear and Gorgonzola and baked nachos via door dash. The nachos were delicious. All the toppings were very fresh and well balanced. We were super disappointed with the flat bread. The crust itself was definitely frozen , think cheap frozen gummy. Then it was topped with mushy canned pears. We have dined in before and had good food but this was far from that experience.
The place seemed nice. The inside was clean and had a nice atmosphere. That's where the pleasant experience ends. The service was very slow and it took forever for the waitress to come over and take our order. Then it took a long time to even get our drinks. The food was okay at best. There was nothing special about the salad my wife ordered and I had the braised beef sandwich. It was supposed to come with horseradish, it did not. I asked the waitress for more on the side and she said they were out and that it was mixed in with the gravy. No chance. If by some miracle it was there was next to nothing in it. I would NOT recommend going here when there are so many other restaurants in close proximity.
Went for the halloween brunch and was quite disappointed. The pancakes were super dry along with the stuffed skulls and donuts. Definitely was not worth the price and almost inedible. The best thing on the menu was the martini. I hope it was just the halloween brunch that was bad, and that their regular food is better. The server seemed to be having a bad day at first but once we started talking to her she seemed to lighten up. . Would go back for the martinis themself, but not the food
A friend and I came here for brunch and it was okay. We each got a mimosa and I got the breakfast sandwich while she got the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. While we didn’t partake in bottomless mimosas, they do have $20 bottomless mimosas which is a great deal! Overall, the food isn’t anything amazing. My friend wasn’t a big fan of her pancakes. My sandwich was good, but nothing to rave about. The staff is super friendly!
Pros: Lots of hot young girls dressed in little and extra tight clothing. Cons: A cover. Get real. It's Allentown. The bathroom situation sucks. The music isn't killer. It's basically a Chippewa bar in Allentown. Bringing more dude-bros in the area. Nothing special. Another bar in Buffalo.
We waited after being seated for about a good 30 mins with out even being greeted by server, not even water was served. My husband had to go to the bar and order us drinks! If we wanted bar service we would had went or done just that. The place was not crowded at all. After finally making several eye contact with servers finally the server came to our table.Food was great service sucked.
Pretty sure they put bacon in my autumn harvest soup after I made it clear I was a vegetarian. Artichoke spinach dip was served solid... Overall not worth dealing with a snobby vibe for below average food.
Got the stuffed banana peppers and friends got the poutine. The banana peppers had no flavor and were subpar. They looked presentable but tasted just bland. The poutine was overloaded with salt. Wouldn’t recommend coming here for a tasty meal as they food was average at best.
My significant other and I tried going here for dinner Saturday and never got seated. Seemed crowded and very loud. This all could have been because it was a weekend night but it doesn't excuse how no one paid attention to us.
It was so, so, so loud. The food was great, service was slow but the server was polite. They need to add padding to the walls or do something about the acoustics. I think personally I wouldn’t go back for the brunch experience but I would like to try the dinner menu.
Pretty okay food, no coffee and automatic gratuity hidden on the bill. NOT COOL. We made reservations for 4. At no time was additional gratuity mentioned... Service was fine and deserving of a tip, but received a double tip after hiding auto gratuity. Not pleased and certainly wouldn't go back. Food was slightly overpriced (Okay, it's Allen!) and slightly underdelivered. Just wasn't fresh and high quality like you'd expect. No coffee at brunch was the feather in the cap. I mean, it's brunch...
I actually went to this establishment on two different occasions. One was a Saturday night my husband and I wanted a night cap after a live event. I was turned away due to wearing spandex while I can see other people inside with spandex. The other occasion was a brunch date. It was for a party of 2, the person I was meeting arrived before me and I was running a little. I was stuck waiting at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes. They had me verify my reservation then said I was already crossed off (weird.) Upon being seated service was slow, meanwhile everyone around me seemed to be getting prompt, more attentive and over all better service. Food was “okay” I’ve had better. Now the kicker was the imposed 20% gratuity on my bill for a party of two.Now I always tip and it’s reasonable however the received service did not warrant that. She deserved 15-18% judging off the service compared to those around I’m being generous. I also know there is a stereotype that black people not tip however that 20% was a bit bold. I will not be returning to this establishment and I know my review will not make a difference in business. It’s just sad how the hospitality industry and food service is down the tubes yet they impose 20% gratuity without proper warning.
Booked a reservation for the Halloween brunch, and was disappointed to see how in disrepair Falley Allen was. The ambiance used to be beautiful on the interior, but between 2023 - now it seems like it's been taken over by a new owner and they lack style. Feels like a cheap night club- water glasses on the table are plastic cups, no salt and pepper readily available on the table, and the tables themselves have been painted this god awful purple. Everything just felt sticky. If you’re still not sure about my review, look at older photos of the joint. Service was great compared to the interior, but I can't imagine it'll stay that way for long. I no longer would recommend Falley Allen.
I came to Falley from the Sabres game after the Rick Jeanneret retirement ceremony. Three of the staff aggressively kicked me out because I "had a hockey jersey on". They should be incredibly embarrassed to call themselves a Buffalo bar and I will never return to this "Buffalo" establishment again.
Placed a reservation days ahead for father's day brunch, when we showed up we were seated way out back by the bar outside. It was dirty and we were seated next to the trash cans that smelled, there were also cigarette butts and trash on the ground. The whole front of the house was free (we were a small party of 4), I'm not sure if we were seated in the back due to sectioning or what but it was very gross and unprofessional, so we ended up leaving. Unfortunate because we were excited about the menu.
Terrible service, VERY RUDE, PROFILED US GAVE NO SILVERWARE, Slammed them down in front of me..Terrible Terrible experience. Completely lost my appetite. I ended up just leaving all together. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING ON A SUNDAY. JACQUELINE was the servers name she needs to be fired. Expecting a call from the manager for sure! Place SUCKSSSSSSSSS
I went to this restaurant during a night on the town with some of my girlfriends and you could tell we had some drinks prior to entering this establishment. I was overcharged by $75 after ordering foods and drinks from this place. Good thing I check my account every time I go out. Overcharging women while they are in that state is unacceptable. Also had to wait over an hour for the food.
Service is very poor. Blonde bartender was so rude that we ended up leaving before our food came. Do not recommend this place to someone who doesn’t want to be treated poorly by staff. Disappointed!
My only experience there was a brief one. Went out with friends in a large group. None of my other friends were charged a cover, men or women. Then the bouncers realized that my boyfriend and I were probably a couple, and tried to charge only the two of us for entry. I’m not sure if it’s bar policy to do that, or if the bouncers were trying to make an extra buck, but they lost our business with that one. We left immediately.
Went here on a Friday night. The place was not super busy but they were charging a cover (no place else was). It took forever to get to the bar to get a drink and the bartender was rude to me. There were 3 female bar tenders who were just standing there talking and one male who was running around like crazy to try and help everyone that the girls were ignoring.
I was debating on posting this review, because it is almost embarrassing but I feel something needs to be said. Went here for my birthday on 12/21, which happened to be their Christmas celebration with Santa there, taking pictures and whatnot. Me and my girlfriends got there a little after 11 and was told it was a $5 cover, now I've never been charged a cover for a bar before, except for the big clubs downtown, but we went with it. I did think it was suspicious when we went to hand the second bouncer our "cover" and he asked what it was for. We get drinks, take a picture with Santa, and we are waiting in line for the bathroom and see a poster on the wall for that night's event. It clearly stated "FREE entry for LADIES, $5 cover for GUYS". After one drink, we decide to leave and take our business else due to this. We did wait by the door for a minute, to see if other ladies were charged a cover, and they were not, and they were also dressed, to put it lightly, promiscuously. Which is fine, I believe everyone should dress how they want, and love their own bodies. What's not okay, is the fact that they decided we needed to pay a cover, when others didn't. It was cold that night, so we opted to be fully dressed. So on the way out, we bring it up to the bouncers, that they charged us a cover when it was supposed to be free entry. Their only response was "I was doing what I was told to do". So what they were told to do is, profile and judge people by how they look/dress and decide who they want to charge. They shook their head yes. Will not EVER come back and will most certainly let every single person I know who goes out frequently, know this.
They have a “ Dress Code “. Beware to dress a certain way for a place called Falley Allen. There is major lack of diverse clientele and the interesting clothing policy is a reminder that if you have a more refined sense of fashion they simply wont let you in and blame that you dont have buttons on your pants. When really we all know why. I hope this spot closes at some stage. 😂
I made a reservation for my sister's bachelorette party, a table for 12. Three days before the bachelorette party they called to cancel my reservation. This may just be the seminal event that lands me in the psych ward. If anyone has recommendations on where I can get a reservation for 12 on a 72 hour notice, please let me know.
Came here for the Galentine’s Day brunch. The hostess was not welcoming at all and stressed. We had reservations and they sat us at a high top. We asked if we could move tables as there were tons of open tables but they said we couldn’t because those were all booked. Funny how they prioritized the customers who didn’t show up yet 😂. Anyway, the drinks took 20 min to arrive and they tasted like straight vodka. We asked for the check and immediately left.
Made an online reservation but when we arrived there was a sign saying reserved for private party. I had received email and text confirmation so this was incredibly frustrating, 6 of us had walked from Klienhans for dinner before a show and there was not a good second option close by. Very disappointed, do not recommend.
We had reservations for brunch at 1pm. First they were out of coffee. For brunch. Our server was obviously overwhelmed but even so, she never checked in on us once. We had to flag her down after half an hour, at which time I asked how much longer for our food and was told “oh, should be soon, we’re busy now”. A full hour after arriving, our server had never checked back, we had no food, and tables around us told us they’d waited an hour and a half. We cut our losses. Additionally, the music was as loud as a nightclub and the place was freezing cold. I wanted to love it here but it was so not worth it.
Six of us had brunch at Falley Allen's on Sunday. Let me start by saying when the reservation was made, there was no mention of automatic gratuity. We ordered French Toast for the table. The French Toast was very tasty, but our waitress did not take our brunch order until after French Toast was served and after we specifically requested to order. Our food took at least 35 min from this time. We inquired about Mimosa's but were told we could not buy them individually, just bottomless. We were seated at 12:30 with food arriving at 1:40PM. Immediately, one person noticed that her Avocado toast had no avocado on it. The solution to this was not to take it back to the kitchen but instead to bring 2 slices of hard avocado on a plate. Another person who had substituted approx 3-4 pieces of bacon and 3-4 sausages for avocado, received 2 small slices of avocado in exchange. The Falley egg sandwich, which was supposed to have avocado on it, had guacamole instead. Two identical meals were ordered (Falley egg sandwiches) but somehow, one came with potatoes and one with fries. We did speak to the manager who brought a plate of avocado to the table after our initial complaint. The manager did apologize and explained to us that the order took 30 min, which was typical. However, this did not include all our time sitting there waiting to order. Once we spoke to the manager, the waitress did not come back to check on us. We were then presented with a bill that was reduced by $10 due to our issues but included an automatic gratuity, listed as a 'service charge'. No where on the menu does it say that for tables over 5 people, an automatic gratuity would be added. Needless to say, we will not return.
Got there at 6 on a Sunday before going to a local show. The guy attempting to sit upright at the door/bouncer/host told us if we want food we can only eat at the bar, not at any table. Didn't quite work for us so we moved on and stopped back after the show hoping to grab a drink. The drink menu online looks great. Anyways we return at just before 10 and he's still lounging at the entrance and says that it's just drinks at the bar, cool bc that all we're looking for. Full bar so we work out way up to it and ask for the drink menu only to be rudely told that they're "done for the night." At this point one of our party is using the restroom and we have to wait for him. Meanwhile we watch other patrons order drinks no problem. No thanks won't be back, sad to see a business turning money and customers away.
Don't ever get bottle service here! Paid over $700 for a table and bottle service and they made us pay $5 cover on entry, even though we were told we didn't have to pay cover beforehand. Extremely petty business practices. Besides that, service was trash, the soda mixers we got were flat, and best of all they added a 25% gratuity automatically when I went to pay. Absolute scumbags. Spend your money elsewhere!
This is the saltiest yet blandest food I've ever had. Everything was either overseasoned to the point where it was powdery (and the seasoning primarily being salt), especially the fries (huevos rancheros too) The sandwich was also overly salty, the steak being unevenly cooked with some parts being medium and other parts being well done. The steak was also very chewy. Also huevos rancheros didn't have enough sauce. The only redeeming thing about the place was the mimosas and maybe the sweet stuff might be better but we didn't try it. I think this place is only fun at night as a bar
The menu at the restaurant was not the same as online. The food that came out was not what as described on the menu. My steak sandwich had gorgonzola instead of provolone, which i ordered med-rare came out past medium and rubbery. It was also just a whole steak on a bun, which in 30+ years of eating steak sandwiches i have never gotten before. My house salad was missing onions and cucumbers. My wife’s JD chicken “sandwich” was served on a barely cooked floppy waffle. Couldn’t be lifted to eat. It lacked the maple glaze and was not breaded and fried, rather it was four odd little pieces of chicken that were previously baked i would guess. My daughter ordered the sides of mac & cheese and fries because they had no kid menu. The mac and cheese was so ridiculous hot it was inedible the whole time we were there. I transferred it to a to-go container and it was completely dry and crusted in the skillet. It seemed like random solid cheeses mixed with and covering noodles then sent into the firing blazes of hell. The fries came out with a cup of hot sauce which she used once thinking it was ketchup. Obviously that went poorly. The fries were also inedibly salty. They had no milk for my daughter. I ordered a tea, they only had sweet, so instead i ordered a coke, it was not coke. It was pepsi, it was terrible. What kinda bar mixes drinks with pepsi? Everything was sticky. If they were trying to be terrible they knocked it out of the park. My instinct was to immediately leave, i wish we had.
Walked in with some friends and there are two bartenders, and two other patrons in the entire place. I go to the bar and wait about 10 minutes to get one of the tenders' attention. One leaves and the other proceeds to talk to the two other patrons. I try to get her attention and she turns around and says to wait a second. 5 minutes of waiting later I just left. Idk what sort of business model they purport to have, and call me crazy, but if I'm gonna sit in a chair sober I'd rather do it somewhere a bit more lively.
Wish I could give this place zero stars. Food took over an hour and a half. Drinks took 30 plus minutes. neither the waitress nor bartender knew what they were doing. Actually horrible. Do not recommend. It would be quicker to make all the food at home. Additionally, the mimosas were orange juice. No champagne. Server came to the table maybe twice.
Went for night life and upon entering one of the bouncers had a bad attitude and I immediately felt disrespected. I then was somehow charged $25 for a mixed drink and a beer that was supposed to be $16 according to my receipt. On top of that, the mixed drink tasted like there was no alcohol in it.
Imagine calling and making a reservation for a special occasion weeks ahead of time, and being called an hour before your set reservation to be told that your table and any accommodations have to be canceled because the restaurant received a walk-in party that is larger than your reservation. It shows that you don’t value your customers and that you only value the dollar.
Where to start, I guess the blame is on all these no personality Pinterest wannabe food bloggers who have zero sense of style, taste, or anything in the back of those empty noggins of theirs. The food was dreadful, over cooked, mostly bland, and cold in spots. Way too overpriced for what you get. This place is a very gimmicky, and not in a good way. Atmosphere is very meh, the cliches of picture arches and tacky flower/neon sign walls are very overplayed. If I didn’t believe in food waste, all of our food would’ve been sent back to be disposed of. Do better
