Lotus Chinese Restaurant

This is the first time I have ordered from them and had a good experience. They literally have the best yellow curry I have ever had. Every other place I have ordered from has sweet yellow curry in which I can't stand. The delivery was super quick and were safe which I absolutely appreciated during Covid19. So I'm looking forward to ordering more food. I hope my experience with them is absolutely like my first and if not I will edit my comment.

Nice quiet place at lunch on a Sunday. It is also cool I hear while outside in almost 90° weather. Service could smile more but overall good service. My favorite thing about this place is the fresh food when I do a sit down. Everything seems freshly cut and very tasty. The chicken I had was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Only street parking that I could get. I don’t know if there is a parking lot available in back. Lunch specials are every day and awesome on the wallet. I got Sweet & Sour chicken for $10.

I was in the mood for soup and did a quick search which led me to this restaurant. My wife and I are both first time customers and we enjoyed the food and the service very much. We both order the chicken soup, I had noodles and she had the rice. The ingredients were fresh and the soup broth was very delicious. It was a big bowl of soup which was very filling. We did order the appetizer platter which came with 2 of certain items on the appetizer menu. Needless to say we took most of the appetizers home after being full on the soup. I would recommend coming in and trying out their food, the prices were great and the quality is very fine.

Excellent Chinese restaurant. You can tell that they put effort into their dishes. The service was attentive and quick by our kind waiter. It's small and intimate, which I like. Very quiet and peaceful place for a date or dinner with the family. Will come back again and refer that you give them a try if you haven't already.

I had the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. I got the lunch special which includes soup and egg roll. Food was very good, portion size was in line with the price. I will be back to try another dish sometime!

edit: ok so the pineapple fried rice was moist and delicious. i tried the egg fried rice and it was a little dry, (not horrible), but they dropped a large chunk of eggshell in there. i called and they offered refund and were cool about it. hmm so maybe this place just has bomb pineapple fried rice in particular, try it out lol old review: Really solid flavor and they leave room to add salt or just enjoy a nice, mild but flavorful fried rice. Honestly i was highly impressed with the ingredients and preparation. I think the negative reviews are a shame because this place is really hard to beat. I definitely want to try more of the menu

This place is amazing, the portions are big and the staples are there. I let one bad review stop me in the past but the quality here is unmatched. The best Chinese in Burbank. Best in big groups.

It’s okay for Chinese food in Burbank. The chow mein was good. The chicken in it was a bit soggy but the shrimp was good. Fried shrimps were good. The egg fried rices was ok. General’s Tao chicken was really good.

Large portions, quick delivery, delicious egg foo young, and free egg rolls. They gave us chow mein instead of chow fun though, and both the sesame shrimp and the lemon chicken were disappointingly flavorless. I'd say it's worth trying this place again.

Good food and big portions, but be careful ordering via UberEats or Doordash. They didn't see/fulfill the order notes, in which I asked for a set of utensils and napkins. I had to eat my fried rice using one of the hotel room's complimentary plastic cups.

Food was great. Delivery was awful! Ordered food to be delivered at 5PM. At 5:15 called and they said food was delivered. Not to my house! They reordered my order. It came 45 minutes later. Our early dinner became a later dinner. A problem for my daughter, visiting from the west side!

I love coming here for the Wor Wonton Soup. It is delicious and never disappoints because it's full of flavor. There are some other great options that even kids will love, I know my children do.

Communication is zero, food is not bad but the last time I ordered Chawmain with shrimp,pork and chicken there was lass meat on it just a little amount of very small prices of meat , I'll never go there

Update: Today my food was cold and the fortune cookie was old and STALE, and just like the other couple times that I visited, there was no one in the restaurant. The shrimp fried rice today is okay I placed my order when I arrived and it was ready in 3 minutes. Shrimp fried rice matched the price, infact I'm sitting in my car outside in front because I came back for more. The pot stickers were average and enough sauce to accompany half of my order. Now the fried wontons that declare that they have chicken in them do not. I shared with the older lady while waiting for my shrimp fried rice today this. She said some foolishness about them having to put a very small amount in them because they burst and break up. This makes absolutely no sense at all, and apparently they know absolutely NOTHING about preparing fried wonton. I'll just have to locate another place, because I paid $10.00 for fried flour and not fried well. Oh well you win some you loose some,and they just lost me with that lame EXCUSE 🚀🪇🪘🎷

I got the Szechuan Eggplant with Pork added and it was slimy? And not in the way that Eggplant can be when it's cooked soft. Just exceedingly gelatinous. Very disappointing.

My order was so messed up. No hot and sour soup that I ordered plus instead of egg rolls that were part of the order as well, they placed 3 bags of fried wontons instead of egg rolls. That’s one and done for me.

Ordered through TOO GOOD TO GO. Their offering through the app is a blatant lie. They say you'll get $24 worth of food for $8. What I received was equivalent to a meal for one... and I was on my way to a potluck! TOO GOOD TO GO should reign in this type of false advertising or it will undoubtedly hurt their reputation as well.

Tried to order on Uber Eats and it's all fraud. They say a dish is $14 then they say"what size" but they only offer one size and it's $2 extra. Then they ask you"what rice" but rice is $2 extra Be upfront with your prices and I'll change my review.

I went here because I ordered through an app called too. Good to go. It was the first time I ever bought food from this place. I don't know how good their regular menu is because when you order through the too good to go app the food is not that good.

I've had delivery in the past and while delivery took longer than most places, at least the order was right. In person takeout service is terrible. They post they open at 11:00 AM. They are not ready for business at 11:00 AM. Staff's communication skills are non-existent. My order was I ordered and paid for ahead of time. At opening they told me I would have to wait 20 minutes. I told them I would wait there. It took over 40 minutes of waiting until they would pay attention to me again. I believe the woman working at the front desk had forgotten I was still there. She gave me somebody else's order, insisting it was mine. The food is nothing to write home about, especially waiting so long for it. I would try any other Chinese restaurant in Burbank before I try Lotus again.

We ordered a bag from TooGoodToGo and it wasn't even from the kitchen. It was a pulled pork sandwich that they microwaved. And it took them 15 minutes to do so. It's one thing to serve bad food, but it's another thing to serve bad food from another restaurant and lying to your customers.

Ordered through Uber Eats —over $47 dollars for one dish and two egg flower soup!! Wow… very very expensive. I won’t order delivery through Uber Eats again.

The food is obviously not the day's remaining Chinese food from restaurant, food clearly days old microwaved American pulled pork sandwich shipped in from Yaamava Casino over an hour away. This poses a huge health risk and is false advertising, did not eat food at all. Lotus is clearly trying to take advantage of the Too Good To Go platform in order to make an extra buck and sell other people's trash, rather than honestly and properly using the platform as it was intended. Restaurant should be removed from the TGTG platform. I will be reporting to the health department and relevant agencies. These types of foolish, ridiculous, and comically dishonest business practices warrant disciplinary action or closure of business. Shame, shame, shame.

I finally had to drive to the restaurant myself, which is how I learned that the original owners had sold the business. The food we received was extremely disappointing — it tasted old, rubbery, and reheated, with a strange, unpleasant sauce. It lacked freshness and flavor, and we unfortunately had to throw it away. This was a huge letdown compared to the delicious meals and excellent service Lotus used to be known for.
