Food Everything we ordered was great. The rack of lamb actually exceeded my expectations. Everything else I absolutely loved the decor and the service. Our waitress was friendly and funny, and she didn’t overstay her welcome, which was great.

Love this place. First time dining here. The side dishes are shareable. We ordered the lamb and rib eye. Absolutely delicious! The lamb chops are nice and thick and cooked to perfection 👌 . The steak was also cooked perfectly. The flavor of the beef and lamb were the best I've had. I'm definitely going back. Service is also amazing. Ask for one of the twins.

This place is delicious! The food looks just as it tastes which is the best thing. I went her for my siblings birthday and they definitely enjoyed. The steak is always done perfectly and all the sides especially the dip are so good! Highly recommend and they have some great workers!

We decided to stop by here for our 3rd year of marriage anniversary ! Wow, these guys have such a beautiful establishment! Our waitress was fantastic and the food was cuisine. We will be back for another time! Thank you for having us !

Great steaks! Honestly… just as good if not better than capital grille or Abe and Louie’s in boston. Waitress was excellent. She really knew the menu and knew everything about the steaks and sides. The butter with the bread was particularly good and really stood out amongst other steak houses. I highly recommend this place for a nice night out with your wife or a business dinner. Really impressed by everything.

We recently visited Black & Blue Steak and Crab in Burlington. we had a very pleasant experience. From entering the restaurant it gives you a very nice vibe that the night will be great. The staff were very friendly, polite, professional and fun what better blend than exquisite entrees and great service. I ordered the crab cake it was cooked to perfection. Also tried the calamari and for my meal the Bistro Steak it’s recommended to be at medium temperature. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!

Went here on a department year-end celebration. We had a variety of things and shared them. The seafood tower was great and came with mini Tabasco bottles (which I ended up taking home for my kids). Calamari was so little greasy and under-seasoned for my taste but was the pretext consistency inside. Mushrooms were wonderfully seasoned. Crabcakes were great. Literally, everything we had was wonderful. The standout, though, was access to a decently priced bottle of Justin Isocolese. I love this wine, and it stood up well against the bone-in ribeye.

I picked this restaurant instead of Legal. It was delicious. Myself, my husband, and my BFF really enjoyed our meals. My husband remarked it was the best steak he has had in a long time. He said it was much better than Capital Grille he had a while ago. The dessert was phenomenal. The service also was fantastic. Our waiter was so sweet to my husband who had a fractured ankle.

Had a wonderful meal here for a friends bday. The restaurant space itself was very nice with a beautiful bar and lovely decor. The service was excellent, not rushed and very attentive. Prices were certainly high but for the quality of the food, the experience, etc it was well worth it. Overall I’d say that The Capital Grille is better food wise (sides weren’t too impressive here) but this is very close and way more relaxed of an atmosphere. I would certainly recommend this spot!

Excellent service by Sheri! She was a wonderful and knowledgeable waitress. I wasn’t a big fan of my drink but she went out her way to try and make it better for me. The food was delicious. Definitely need to come back again to try other things on the menu especially the crab and lobster fondue. I had a great time here today. 10/10 would recommend!

Oh wow what an absolutely fantastic dinner we had. I had the scallops and my daughter had the 10 ounce filet mignon and they were all cooked to perfection. Service was awesome the people were friendly and the atmosphere was just amazing. It wasn’t too loud and there was plenty of seating for us at the bar. Even try to make room for us because we didn’t have reservations which was really great. This is the steak restaurant we will go to from now on for special occasions

This place was amazing! We celebrated my mom's birthday. We didnt have room for apps so they gave her a slice of cake to take home. I ordered a new york strip steak with red wine glaze, which they cooked in a 1700 degree oven. I had scalloped potatoes on the side. The food was perfect! The interior of the restaurant had a touch of gentleman like design. You got 2 gentleman serving you, the waiter and his assistant. There are also plastic screens to separate each table. You are given 90 minutes on the table. This place is definitely on my "come back here" list!

Amazing first time experience! Went for my fathers 60th, drinks and food were super tasty. The atmosphere is great, well designed space. Can’t forget the best part our waiter … Alexander was FABULOUS!! Wish all waiters/waitresses were like Alexander super helpful for recommendations but also a sense of humor, we will definitely be back!!

Amazing experience. The ambiance is lively. I felt comfortable dressed down but would have felt at home dressed to the nines. The Food Is Incredible. The experience is for anyone but felt so bespoke for myself. Signature cocktails. PREMIUM steaks. DELICIOUS oysters. Fresh bread, attentive and professional waitstaff and bartenders.

We had just flown in and were hungry. Black & blue sounded amazing... and it was! Our waiter was Kelvin and he was wonderful!!! We started our dinner off with Crab cakes and Crab Bisque. Delicious! For dinner I had the Bistro Filet with Sweet Potato Dumplings and my husband has the Cowboy Ribeye Oscar. Both were amazing! We ended the night with a piece of Keylime pie. Delish! We can't say enough about this place! We only wish we lived closer!

I can’t rave about this place enough. Stumbled upon this restaurant with my husband. We decided we would give it a try for date night and it’s now our new spot! The Resturant is beautiful. I love the entire atmosphere and vibe of the place. The staff from the second you walk in all the way through are PHENOMENAL! Every waiter or waitress we have had have been so friendly and funny. We’ve celebrated anniversaries and birthdays. Like I said we come for date nights as well. No matter the reason, it’s a great time with great food. We haven’t had anything that’s disappointed us yet. Drinks too are also well made! My fav is their sparkling cosmo! Delicious. If you’re considering it - stop debating. Just go! I can’t imagine anybody being disappointed in this place! Counting down the days till we go again!

Great food and service. Second time here and it did not disappoint. It’s great to be able to go to a restaurant like this and not have to go in Boston. Easy parking, nice area, and a great place. I went with the filet and the house Manhattan. Both were outstanding. Also did the wedge salad which was huge. Server was great and clearly knew the menu.

Wait staff and management are exceptional. Wife burned hand and their care was above and beyond. Brought ice bucket for soaking and burn cream. Didn’t see steak as an option to mark but it was perfect too.

Last night we tried the NEW menu, and it's both clever and delicious. Standouts are Lobster Toast and Pork Belly. The truffle hash browns are also delicious journey through texture, taste and surprise. Below is a candid shot I call, "how is the pork belly?" Dessert sounded amazing, their key lime pie is made 100% in house. No way did we have room for dessert, good luck! Chef David Gordon and our server curated a wonderful dining experience all around great dinner. Tldr; Try the pork belly

Beautiful atmosphere I went for my husband and a friend's birthday dinner. Amazing food and our waitress Sam was exceptional 👌. I had the Red Snapper incredibly delicious. Her details and information about the menu and specials were fantastic and made you want to try everything. It's definitely worth visiting B&B ask for Sam, and you'll love her.

Really enjoyed our dinner out. My wife and I had the filet and it was super tender and both were cooked perfectly. Presentation of food was nice. Appreciated or easier serving food and sides ; made us feel pampered. Had crab cake for app which was very good.

Unexpectedly great place. Modern restaurant with a great selection of fish/seafood and meat. I liked modern design, the service was great and the food was amazing. I will be back to try more options.

Went here for lunch to check it out. Had pretty low expectations based on the reviews so far, but was very pleasantly surprised. I got the crab soup and the blackened grouper. Both were PHENOMENAL. The grouper has a perfect delicious crispy layer on top and the kalamata olives, artichokes and tomatoes complimented it nicely. I ate at the bar; service was very attentive and food came out quickly. Really cool ambiance, great service, great food. Will definitely be back. My only suggestions for improvement: add more crab to the lunch menu!

Amazing experience for our anniversary. The bread and butter was so good to start, we had a few rounds, the mashed, corn, kanas city cut, and the rib eye. Everything was quite good. The service here is great too, multiple people are always coming around to remove things and keep the process smooth instead of relying on one server. Like other reviews have said it comes out on a metal plate that kinda still cooks it while you eat it so i recommend going medium rare as it will medium out by the time you're halfway done. The flavor was excellent and came with complimentary sauce. Its expensive but great for a splurge or important night.

Made a reservation for my birthday (party of 3) and honestly as a first timer I was pleased! Our reservation was set for 8pm and the kind lady in the front sat us down 20 min earlier. The steak was 10/10 (NY strip) with the red wine steak sauce , magnificent. The food did not take long so I was amazed by that since there was a lot of people there haha. The only DOWNSIDE to today’s experience was we felt rushed…. As we ate the young lady who would ask if we wanted more water , etc would constantly stare and continue to ask if we were done with our plate , every 15-20 min. The minute we set our fork/spoon down she asked if we were all set …. It was a tad bit awkward, she would grab the bread basket when we weren’t finished yet,… few times we had to tell her “no we’re not done yet, thanks”.. so that threw us a tad bit off. Other than that, was a great experience over all if you’re looking to eat well, get good quality food for an amazing price $$ and dress nice. I’d rate it 8/10.

Great New England style fish house with a local vibe. Out visiting from California so this is a delightful thing! Delicious specialties and side options. Yummy dessert menu. Loved the peanut butter pie, oysters, and the lobster stuffed lobster! 🦞😋.

black & blue is our favorite restaurant to date. We only visit once a year but I always look forward to it. The food is phenomenal. If you enjoy seafood, the crab and lobster fondue is a dream. Our steaks always melt in our mouths and the service is always so friendly and attentive. I am already counting the days to go back!

I have been to black and blue 2-3 other times and enjoyed it. I felt the need to write a review bc the GM “Alex” was so attentive and very accommodating to our party. We were having a holiday girls get together and we were sat next to a rowdier holiday party; she gave us the opportunity to move and even offered us some “pixie dust” but we felt it was fine… But then our dinner was messed up and she/Alex was beyond apologetic and again, had great customer service and made the situation correct! I highly suggest here for just their overall attentiveness and drinks are very good (thank you Bret or Brent?) and customer service. You don’t see that these days so helped me regain faith I. Good customer service! Thank you!

The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Brent at the bar was outstanding!!! Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely skilled. His recommendations for both food and drinks were spot-on, and every cocktail was expertly made. Service like this elevates the entire dining experience. Looking forward to coming back.

Came here for a work function Overall the service was good and the food good as well. The pasta was cooked well but I didn't like the lobster that came with it From the appetizers we also opted for the molten cheese with lobster, it was mostly cheese. The calamari appetizer was good The waitress was a little mix of attitude / trying to be funny Apple crisp was not crispy enough / had crumble enough Overall decent but not aching to go back Came again. Same thought. Edible not amazing good service tho

Very nice restaurant with good food and a great ambiance. The plates were well presented. The beef shortrib was delicious and the steaks our group ordered were also great. The dessert selection is pretty standard for a steakhouse. The cheesecake was good, but overall it seems their focus is on the entrees and house specialties. They definitely try to upsell drinks and sides. We asked for water and they brought us still bottled water which they charged extra for without really mentioning. Watch out for that if it’s important to you.

Service was not bad. We got seafood tower. It says it’s for four people and the server said it’s a huge amount of seafood but actually it was more of an 1.5 people portion. I don’t eat meat so can’t speak much about it but my date said it was okay.

The service was great. Our waitress didn't rush us at all and was conscientious about distance and proper distancing procedures. The flavor of the crust on the fish entrees was 5/5. The Green beans were really fresh. They serve fresh pretzel rolls at the beginning that were warm and delicious. However, the rest of the meal was mediocre. I thought the steaks were too salty that it didn't allow the flavor of the steak to shine, the asparagus was old, and the appetizers were more oily then appetite inducing.

I recently dined at Black and Blue and found my experience to be mixed. The blueberry cheesecake was decent—comparable to what you might find at the Cheesecake Factory—but it didn’t offer anything truly unique. The porterhouse steak, which I had high hopes for, arrived overcooked and under-seasoned, falling short of the robust flavor one expects from such a cut. Additionally, I did not receive the creamy spinach dish that I ordered, and the chocolate lava cake tasted more like a protein cake than a rich, indulgent dessert. To top it off, the menu is overpriced for the quality of food served. Overall, while there were a few redeeming qualities, the inconsistencies in execution combined with the steep pricing left me less than satisfied with my dining experience.

Went by myself for dinner on a weekday night. I got the crab/lobster fondue and half rack of lamb w/ black truffle butter and beárnaise sauce. Service was good; my waiters were very nice, explained the menu to me as it was my first time, and checked with me to make sure my lamb was cooked the way I wanted it (medium). However, I think the food was too greasy and salty. The crab/lobster fondue was overall good but definitely very rich; I couldn’t taste much of anything but cheese and salt. The lamb was honestly a bit of a disappointment. I think it was cooked well, but a good chunk of two of the chops was just fat, and whatever rub they use is REALLY salty. I went through 4 glasses of water and felt somewhat queasy by the end of the meal. Overall I think it’s a good place to try if you’re okay with or like saltier food, but personally I’d hesitate to go again.

Very stylish restaurant, unfortunately the steak was tough and stringy and the clam risotto was stodgy . Additionally the constant upsell was a little exhausting.

My wife and I were looking for a new steakhouse so we decided to try Black & Blue. We enjoy eating at the bar and "Tito" our server was friendly & helpful. The martinis & wine were great. Our appetizers, tuna tare tare & chopped salad were also good. My wife's salmon was good however my rib eye was tasteless. It was plump looking but there was no flavor. Usually a rib eye will shrink a bit due to the marbling but It just looked different, including the rib cap. They use some sort of seasoning, I guess to give it the flavor that it lacked. The steak at a steakhouse is supposed to be the "star of the show" and it wasn't.

We had a 4:45 reservation and called to say we’d be 10 minutes late. We were told that was fine. We arrived 10 minutes later and were told our reservation was cancelled. After waiting 15 minutes for a manager (who never came out), we were told to wait another 40 minutes. When we returned at the time given, they cancelled our reservation again because they “assumed” we left. Cancelling a reservation twice without communication and refusing to address guests directly is unacceptable. Our time was wasted, and we will not be back.

I’ve been coming to Black & Blue in Burlington for some time now, but tonight will be my last visit. The customer experience at the bar was genuinely awful, and it’s clear the standards have dropped significantly. The bartender showed zero communication skills from the start. He checked on everyone around me, yet I repeatedly had to ask for basic things like a knife. I wasn’t offered bread—I had to request it. Even after asking, it never came. I sat there for close to 15 minutes waiting patiently while he continued to ignore me. When I finally said something again, he told me it would be right out… and then another 10 minutes went by. At that point, I had already pushed my food away. Only then did he suddenly start paying attention. I asked him why he was able to communicate with everyone else around me but not with me, and why something as simple as bread still hadn’t been brought out after multiple requests. He went to the kitchen and returned with eight rolls. I was dining alone. Why would I need eight rolls after finishing my meal? It felt like either a joke or sheer incompetence. Despite the poor service, he handed me the bill as if he had done an outstanding job. I asked to speak with the manager, who unfortunately had to hear my frustration even though none of this was her fault. I ended up leaving the tip with the other bartender—who wasn’t even serving me—because I refuse to reward that level of service. Black & Blue used to be consistent, but if this is the quality of staff and service now, I won’t be returning. There are too many other great steak options in Burlington to deal with an experience like this. For the bartender who was responsible for my service tonight: DO BETTER
