Food was excellent and our service with the waitress Patricia L.was awesome . Excellent waitress always smiling and on top of her game. She was fast at filling our drinks when we were almost out. Our food was hot when we received it. We enjoyed the atmosphere. And will return again. Thank you great staff.

We are still new to the area and was have a date night that was long over due.. everything in the menu sounded so amazing and the food that was carried to other waiting customers looked and smelled so wonderful. Our server was so helpful helping us always saying yes ma'am no ma'am ShellyB was such a big help and wonderful waitress. We plan on coming in more to visit with Shelly B and some wonderful food. Hat off to the owner all the staff was smiling helping each other and laughing together. It's felt like a place called home

Went to enjoy a meal with family after game day. Got sat in Patricia's section. And we had several of us (5 adults- 4 kids). She handled it with ease! Drinks stayed full. Apps & meals all out in a timely manner. And all done with a smile! So i recommend, even more so if you get the pleasure of getting sat with her!

On our way home from San Antonio to Georgetown, and stopped in at Mama's Home Cooking, a restaurant we'd never been to. Hubby had the 1/2 lb cheeseburger with fries, and it was delicious. Meat grilled just the way he likes it, with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onion. The fries were hot and crisp, and plenty of them. I wasn't quite as hungry, so ordered off the Kids/Seniors menu. I had 2 cheeseburger slides, fixed just the same way, on yummy Hawaiian rolls. I chose the fried green beans w/ ranch dressing for dipping, and they were so yummy - crisp, hot and flavorful. Shelly B was our waitress, and could not have been more customer-service oriented. She check on us often and was friendly, too. It's hard to find great service these days, but Shelly was excellent. Every day we go through Burnet, we'll stop in at Mama's, and tell our friends, too.

The wife and myself stopped in this restaurant. And I end up getting the chicken fried chicken and I will be back to try the cat fish. Our waitress didn't mind helping us with questions we had. Shelly B had a big smile on her face time she came to the table and for the good bye. She is a sweet girl and can't wait for the next trip to see her again

My husband and I was passing though and always wanted to stop in and try the food. Let me tell you guys the food was amazing the dessert bread pudding was to die for yummy.. out waitress was the highlight of our evening so sweet and didn't mind cutting back a joke with you. Local restaurant with hometown charm! Casual dining, great food and service! Amanda was all smiles and prompt service. Food tasted like home-cooking! 😋 I couldn't choose from all their pie choices, so ordered Apple pie and Boy was it good! 👍👍 They offer multiple yummy sides, which I was just gonna order one of each and make that my dinner, but went with the chicken finger dinner, side of cream corn and their potato salad(YUM😋!!!!). When in Burnet - stop and sit for awhile, you'll be happy you did! 5⭐️

The best fried pickles I’ve had in a while. We were craving Canes after a weekend-long trip in the hill country, but decided to try the local stuff instead of heading back to the city. The breading on the chicken was perfect. Especially after a day out in the hot summer sun. It rejuvenated me. I I don’t think I’ve had anything fried to perfection like that in a while. And shout out to the bacon bits in the green beans. This place is like Burnett’s Bluebonnet Cafe- but maybe better.

Smiling faces and absolutely wonderful food. My hamburger was so awesomely good. Toasted bun, crispy lettuce, fresh tomatoes, juicy burger patty and bunches of the best pickles ever. I did ask for extra pickles. ☺️ French fries were hot and crispy. I didn't have room, my tummy is so full, but took a piece of bread pudding home that was simply amazingly delicious.

I haven't seen such a wonderful menu in 20 years. They had all of my favorite foods. Everything was indescribably delicious! We tried the fried green beans, fried mushrooms, a half pound cheeseburger, cheesecake, and a slice of peanut butter pie. Every single bite was delicious.( the cheesecake is actually a little bit bigger than the picture shows but I could not help myself and took a bite before I took the picture).

First time eating here. Great experience! Fantastic food and tremendous service. Jana is the best! Attentive, funny, and a great server. My mom and I love coming here when we are on our way back to Blanco from the Temple hospital. The last time we stopped in, we told the hostess we would like a booth for 2. She looked at us and knew my mom struggled to get to the door, she just got released after having 1/5 of her lung removed, and the hostess tried to make us walk all the way to the last table in the back. I stopped her and asked if we could have either of the front two tables and she got upset and said “well I guess that’s fine” she was very rude about it, but my mom couldn’t go that far. After we sat down a lady came in with a cane and was having a hard time getting in and again the hostess tried to make her go to the back table. The lady requested the other front booth near us. The hostess was rude and mean about her needing up front too. She made several rude comments to us all. I understand that they try to sit based on which waitress needs tables, BUT when you see a handicap person having a hard time walking/breathing, you should be nice about accommodating them. It was not rush hour and there were many many tables empty. Our waitress was amazing, and sweet and the food was great but that hostess is rude, mean and unprofessional! This place has the prettiest salads we have ever seen and it’s such a treat to eat but that kind of hostess will cost any business money.

Feels like a small town spot with friendly service. The food is good and you can taste the ingredients. The food was under salted by most peoples standards but I like food less salty so it was a plus for me since I could add enough to satisfy my tastes. Good value compared to Austin.

Love small town places like this.. we had a good meal post hike at Inks Lake SP.. I got the burger with fries.. pretty straightforward.. burger was cooked right.. not a fan of the fries, but they were good enough.. My bf got their BLT and asked to add a medium hard egg.. eggs are tricky to cook, so we noticed.. this is everywhere we go, so no biggie.. fried okra were great, freshly fried! Would have loved to have a variety of alcohol choices.. the Pina colada was weird.. lol.. flavor was good, though, and it was great to drink after hiking 6 miles in almost 100-degree weather..

Food is good for the cost! Jana made it worth the visit, cold beer hot food. For beers and full belly for around 25 dollars, stop in and fill the belly!
