Not gonna lie I was a little worried this place was gonna suck! It's a small truck stop and we all know how those places can be. I was actually surprised the prices were great the food portion sizes were great! My chicken fried steak took up my whole plate! It was actually very delicious as well. The fries and sald were spot on to! Highly recommended to stop in and chow down!

The restaurant was clean and bright. They were busy, but created us when we entered. Service was excellent. The portions were large. The food was well seasoned but not overly spicy. I had the "Stuffed Hashbrowns ", consisting of Hashbrowns, Pulled Pork, Scrambled eggs, bacon and white gravy. It was excellent.

I don't eat carbs and it's usually more expensive to piece your breakfast together. 99 cent eggs, $3 dollar sides... it'll add up quickly. This awesome waitress figured out how to sub what I wanted and get a good breakfast for under $6 including coffee. I'll be back for sure.

Its not often I will brag on a restraunt but between the service and the excellent food, yes I said excellent I wish this place and its crew were closer to where I live. I can very easily see myself becoming one of the very friendly locals that seem to frequent this Huddle house! Not only was the staff above and beyond friendly but so were the other customers. There was not 1 customer that didnt say hi and have even just a little bit of conversation. Also as I said The food was awesome!!! If your the manager reading this then do what you gotta do to keep this crew! Awesome experience thanks yall!

Best place around. Food & service are great. April was our server. Friendly & made great suggestions on what to order. We visit quite often & ALWAYS great service. We understand that with staff storage sometimes we have to wait a little longer but well worth it.

Me and my girls come in here all the time and have waffles and biscuits and gravy. The service is amazing. Miss Linda is amazing and all the staff is amazing. We absolutely love the store and hope they stick around for many many years to come.

The truth is that the price for the food is very good, I ordered a cheeseburger that included fries and a soda for less than 10 dollars, the food was made to perfection, I do recommend this place and I would return if I work in the area again.

Omg the food was just like how I had it years ago amazing, delicious. This is the go-to for a quality, country style breakfast or lunch in the area. Prices are great, online ordering is easy and you get rewards that come in nicely when you least expect it. Staff is always friendly. Lobby is ok, seating can be a bit cramped, but has a cozy local feeling to it all. For the prices, and the taste, you really can’t beat this place for breakfast in Caddo Mills.

We almost didn't stop here, because of the 3.9 rating, but we decided to take a chance. The facility seriously needs a makeover, however the staff was great, and the food was excellent. Our coffee cups stayed full and they checked on us often. (The restrooms are shared with the gas station, and whoever is in charge of cleaning them was not raised by my momma, so...just eat and go...)

This was our first time at this Huddle House.. I felt bad for the ladies working because the repair man came to fix something only to make things worse. He shorted out the lights as well as all the waffle irons and told them he would be back at closing to fix it...those ladies worked so hard and were so sweet trying to take care of all the customers and get the food out in a timely manner while making suggestions on substitutions. I did not see one patron get upset or frustrated because of the way the ladies took care of everyone. My waitress April was very nice and gave me words of encouragement and a hug when I lost my phone and was a crying mess. Let's face it , our phones have all the important stuff on them. We will be back for sure!

Depends on who's cooking. The big guy is the best. Otherwise not worth going to. Forget the weekends. Waited 2 hours for our breakfast last time. Last time is the key word for weekends also. Always short handed, waitress has to wash dishes.

I see all the bad reviews but my experience was very positive. Waitress and cook were so nice. Food was ready in 5 or so minutes. It was also very good!!! Cheeseburger, fries and tea for less than $7. McDonalds next door, which is just your regular fast food, is about the same, maybe 50 cents less. Better quality ingredients at HH for sure!!!! Okay dude. So you saw a roach. We have lots of them in Texas!!! I’ve even had one or two in my house and Im a clean freak! So I’ll definitely stop in again on my way home from Dallas!!!

Was so happy to see a huddle house. Haven't seen one since I lived in Florida about 7 years ago. Made it a point to stop here. The food was great and was glad to have it again. Only complaint I have is how long it took the food to get to the table. I'd stop here again but I'd make sure I had plenty of time though.

We waited 10 minutes before girl came over to our table, we ordered food was good, she gave refill, but for some reason she forgot my son's water, syrup and ketchup.

The breakfast was good but the restrooms are the worst I have ever seen looks like a crime seen , you can tell nobody cares about the place. Nasty, Nasty. They have the urinal wired to the wall, toilet paper holder broken so they have the paper sitting on the nasty floor, bathroom partitions also broken also. The owner should be embarrassed you have been fore warned, you can eat just don't go in the restroom .

So something new now, which is a load of bull, they give you an advertisement for a $9.99 breakfast meal then when you go to pay they add $1.50 for a dang egg surcharge what a crock!!!! Won't be coming back!!!

It was ok the service was good the food was ok I got cold veggies with my country fried patty they corrected it for me but other than that everything was fine I think they're under new ownership my first time there. The wait time was good I may or may not go back if I'm ever in the area.

Not a bad place for breakfast, just not great. Food is ok, use to be better but lately it seems like they have been cutting back on items such as hot sauce on the tables, currently only have Texas Pete which is not very good in my opinion, it's weak. Fruit was not very fresh and hash browns were soggy with oil dripping all over the plate. Coffee was very weak and did not have a good flavor.

It's half and half. Sometimes they have good service and your food is out quickly and the everything is up to speed. Now. Other times....well. It's just sad really. We have waited hours on our food multiple times for just eggs and hash browns. Nothing that I couldn't cook up in 10 minutes for my family of 7 at home. There have been many times too that our waitress has just had a downright bad attitude. Rude service etc. It all depends on who is working that day honestly. But then again it all comes back to management. They are the ones who are supposed to keep things running smoothly and keeping a good staff hired.

What makes me sad is I want to like this place. The staff is kind but they need more people. Often one waitress will deal with every table and that leads to almost no refills on drinks and slow food delivery. Most tables are clean and the food did taste good. For the price, there are better diners in town but if this is your only option I have been to worse as well.

Don't Order Desert! They don't carry the deserts they advertised on the menu! The Hashbrowns were undercooked, and they charged my card twice. I was told I would have to take it up with my bank and dispute it with them if it goes through.

Got there at 910am last Saturday. Ordered food for myself and my wife. 30m later they brought my wife’s food but not mine. I inquired as to what was going on. A simple skillet is a 10m Job max even with other peoples orders. 15m later I was told my food hit the floor and they were remaking it. Just canceled the order and paid for my wife’s meal and went elsewhere. Huddle house is normally good but this was unreal. Poor communication. Manager too busy picking up truckers. Just a total clown show.

We came a couple of weeks ago, & it was my daughter in law's first time. The service was slow. The waitress forgot my son's order. And the food was cold!! We normally love this Huddle House....maybe it was just the night crew

I might give this place a second chance with breakfast food. I might not but I can say for sure that ordering a country steak and telling them you have a coupon isn't the way to go. I should have known when they said it would ready in 10 minutes that it is just a low quality bag of frozen off brand "steaks" that they thaw and serve. You can get 12 of them frozen at the local store with blue colors for $5. Basically it's a TV dinner heated up for you. I added quite a bit of salt to make it tolerable. No hand breaded cube steak anywhere in sight here. I could only hope if you paid full price it would be real food.

The food was okay. My waitress was way too busy concerning herself with the latest gossip from other staff members than to do her job. I love the Huddle House, I just won't be coming back to this one.

The food was not very good. The chicken fried steak was tough and the hash browns were over cooked. The wait time for the meal was long. The staff was very courteous and our server kept the beverages filled.

Waitress decided to take a break while food was waiting to be served. Food arrived cold. When I informed her that eggs were cold, she told me that she could have had fresh eggs out for me if I wasn't so busy talking to her. WON'T EVER GO BACK.

Slow service and room temperature food. Hard hashbrowns, looked like only one scrambled egg, dull sausage and undercooked bacon. Not enough gravy on the biscuit. A $20 meal that should have been great but it was not. It was not busy and was served garbage so no more of my money going in here.

Went on Sunday morning. It was not too crowded as they have to leave some tables open due to regulations. 4 adults and one child and it took from start to finish over 1 1/2 hours. Slow service, didn’t ask if we wanted drink refills, parts of 3 orders were wrong. Waitress couldn’t explain part of the menu. Staff weren’t wearing masks correctly (under nose). Food we got that was correct was good.

Ordered food around 11am and waited around 45 minutes without food being served and happened to notice that there was no one cooking at the griddle. It was not very busy, as they were not even seating at half of the tables. The waitress noticed that there was an issue but did not even say anything to us, and tried to avoid letting us know what was going on. The food was finally started and was decent when finally finished but this was an unacceptable wait and handled completely wrong by waitstaff.

Went this morning for breakfast, came as a group of 7, yes I know big groups take longer to serve so we were okay with waiting. The food took almost 40 minutes to come out and everyone’s food came out at separate times. The food was good. The service sucked. The waitress brought a chocolate milkshake in a tall glass with shake running all down the sides. It made a big chocolate puddle on the table. She took one swipe of the side of the glass with a napkin and asked if we were ready to order. I asked her if she could please clean this up. She indignantly said “I was going to clean it up before I left the table”. Then she left the table without cleaning it up and waited on other people. Came back to take our order and still didn't clean it up! She never did clean it up so I had to do it myself. Unacceptable Heather! This was not good service and you know it. You would have gotten at least a $5 tip instead of what you got. I almost didn't leave anything. I won’t be back. 8-21-17 After receiving a gift card for $10 from HH and some apologies, I went to the HH here in Abilene (Tye). The food was very good and the service was very good. The waitress was friendly and attentive and checked just enough to be helpful not annoying. I have written it's own review at its place. Good job of damage control HH! This type of treatment will make me a loyal customer.

Would give negative 10 stars if possible. On April 1: We ordered to go meals and told them we would be there in 20 minutes. We arrived about 5 minutes early. Food was COLD, shakes were nothing but milk. Complained to corporate office, and on April 2 they replied via email and phone call. We returned their call and still no one has reached out to us to resolve. On April 17: I emailed again: We have reached out several times via phone and left messages. Their response: Thank you. I've done the same as well as emails. The operator is out on maternity leave, but I have been following up with the manager on duty to ensure that this is resolved. Today is June 9 and not one word has been heard from them or any resolution. This was by far the biggest waste of money for an inedible meal. We will never eat at Huddle House or recommend it to anyone again.

We eat here almost every weekend and the service is good. We stopped in this morning was not very busy. We sit up front bynthe door and the only waitress working was talking about a jail situation loud enough for all customers to hear. She waited on several customers as they came in. I stood up several times to get her attention even though they have a bell. Therevwerev4bother gentlemen who came in and she said she would be right with them I stood up and said what about us? She said she didnt see us she would be right there we waited another 5 minutes still jo service we walked out. I called as I was still eating last friday, to inform customer service of how bad service and food was! she seemed very nice, but said someone would be in contact with me asap. it has now been four days and I have yet to hear a word from them. Horrible service! she rarely came to see if wee needed coffee. everything took forever to get to the table AND THEY MICROWAVED OUR WAFFLES TWICE!!!! our breakfast came out in three trips! HORRIBLE! We came in to eat. Our waitress got our drinks. But she never got our order for the food. You have one cook, and from what I could tell 3 waitresses walking around complaining about the dishes and sweeping needing to be done. Hello? You have 5 different tables that had customers needing to be served. Needless to say we left and will NOT be coming back...

The food was good and the prices were low. The place was clean and the staff friendly. The signs on the highway however advertise a 24 hour establishment, but this and one other location I know of are not and have never been 24 hours. Change your signs or hours. Just that simple.

In my hash Browns, the potatoes felt like noodles, were mushy. had the white gravy that had barely any sausage, like 3 little pieces, and was very runny. The food was horrible. I asked for no tomatoes on my hash Browns and that was ignored. I will never go back.

The waitress was rude. Some of our food was burnt and what wasn't burnt wasn't cooked as asked such as scrambled eggs weren't cooked all the way. Our drinks sat empty and when asked for a refill it seemed like a problem. Then you had waitresses talking rude to one another. And with the overall experience the waitress was made cause she only got a $1.00 tip which she shouldnt have gotten anything but i felt that i had to give her one cause she stood over me the whole time i ran my card through the machine.

Seems like no matter what time of the day I show up to order food, there's always something wrong with their system & never get to order any food. The worst part is I live down the street. If u call the diner, they take forever to answer & sometimes not at all. I can honestly say that the food is really good, if u get a chance to order any tho.🤷

It took 20 minutes for our order to be taken and then they said they run late on weekends. We waited 15 more minutes and realized we needed to leave soon and asked for our order to go, and they had not started cooking yet. They were nice and gave us our drinks for free but there is no reason it should have taken as long as it had.

My family came in, sat there for almost 45 minutes, waiting for our food. The waitress never came and checked on us the whole time. There weren't that many people there the entire time we were and yet, the ones who came in after us got their food before us. There were only 4 of us. Two adults and two kids. We did not leave a tip. Seriously, every time we have been, it's been like this. They need to hire a second cook or something! Definitely not coming back.

My husband ordered online and he went to get his order and the pilot wouldn’t work and Jennifer, a worker there, was rude to all the customers there waiting on their food. People got up and left and my husband asked how to get his money back and she said she didn’t know he needed to go online and figure it out. She was even rude to the other girl answering the phone and to the cook that told her not to talk to him like that. My husband is a regular and he will not be going back. Customer service is key on an industry like that and Jennifer needs some teaching! We will not be back.

Super gross food. If you like real food that taste good go some place else... it's just like a waffle house. I ate there once pickles tasted like hand soap and I didn't quite know how to feel about that (at least their hands were clean?!) Besides the foods going to kill you, it's not healthy homemade or fresh.

Waitress brought tea to the table with hair touching the rim. Got our food and had to wait on silver ware. Food was cold. It was a waffle at that. Poor service, like "be there when we get ther" and they were NOT busy.

A family member was harassed, overcharged and discriminated against for the “color of his skin” by a supposed “regular” who created a hostile environment and instead of dealing with the issues properly, the cops were called on him and the advantage was given to the lady who was being, what one can only call racist. It seems as though everyone in this town knows everyone so if you are an out of towner, do not visit unless you want to be overcharged and treated poorly. You will not be charged prices shown on menu..

Wow. Worst experience at any restaurant I have ever been to. I try to be understanding because I am a server. But it was bad. I stopped here for breakfast on a road trip on my way from Austin to Kentucky a little over a month ago. Waited forever for a greeting, waited forever for my drink, waited forever for my food, food was cold, no coffee refill, server offered many insincere excuses. Waited forever for my bill so I could leave. I spent an hour waiting for some french toast, eggs and hash browns when it was not busy. No discount, no apology. This set me back quite a while on my road trip, I almost walked out and went to the McDonald's next door. The best part about it were the nice gentleman at the table next to me who struck a conversation while we bonded over the terrible service.

Went today and never got out food. We were there since 10:50 am waiting on just 2 plates of food, we ended up leaving at church 12:00 . Waitress was super nice but food shouldn’t have taken over a hour. I would understand if it was a table of 6 or more.

Ordered 3 burgers for pick-up. When I received my burgers they all had the smallest patty I have ever seen, and a small amount of fries that were stale and cold. This place has gone down since the last time I ordered there.

Grits were so runny I could have used a straw, eggs nice and fluffy, hash-brown’s were fair, sausage both pork and turkey were good and the coffee was weak with no real flavor. BTW price wise I would say it’s in the middle. Would I be back NO!!! My server was really nice I believe her name was Kim however there is a lady there who uses her “whip”voice to get stuff done … too bad she missed the dead roach on the floor by the door this morning. feel sorry for her servers/cook on having to deal with her and I’ve got a feeling that she would rather have local people vs. passing through ones and having it to stand out as a place to come and enjoy a meal. I hate that I was referred to eat here by a friend as this was a bad choice. I could’ve got a better meal at the Golden Arches across the street. Upon reading other reviews I agree there are upgrades for things and you do want to see it make it but I don’t know??? Like I said I won’t be stopping here ever again.. more places to throw away my money.

I decided to try this place out on 2-10-24, so I ordered me and my family breakfast online for pick up. Pickup stated 9:49a and I arrived maybe 15 mins after this. Upon entering the Facility I immediately felt "out of place" and was greeted fairly at first until I asked about my order pickup time. Hostess got snippy and said I'd have to wait on the other side.. Went to where she directed and the lady cook got snappy and said "we're busy, you have to wait".. Whole time I'm seeing an order on the counter which I think is mine.. Maybe 10 mins of waiting, a male cook came and asked my name for the order. I told him and he grabbed the bag in which I saw on the counter. As soon as the lady cook saw this, she yelled "he doesn't get a drink!" . I responded, I didn't order one. And left. On top of this, food was dry. I definitely got vibes of prejudice in this establishment as a previous review stated. Will not return.

We waited an hour for our food, which would have been fine if it had been any good... $60 for cold hashbrowns, a fried patty of chicken? I think, it was impossible to tell with the small amount of meat in there and the fries were so burnt I almost couldn't eat them even covered in cheese sauce. My son's waffles didn't come with the strawberry toppings he ordered and the syrup container was disgusting, so I wouldn't let him use that either. We left the food on the table, paid the check and left. I was disappointed bc we used to come here with my dad around the holidays. The wait staff was nice enough, but definitely need more training. The regulars only had drinks, so I sure wish they had warned us the food was so bad

Showed up to pick up my online order at the time it was supposed to be ready. The cook advised that since lots of people have been ordering and then not picking it up, so now they have to have you show up to start making your food. He said he would start the order. I spoke to someone who seemed like they were in charge. He stated that yes, this is now their policy. I was told it would take an additional 20 minutes to prepare our food. This is a huge inconvenience and a horrible way to conduct business. I asked why if we paid for it they hadn’t just made the food. The person I spoke to had nothing additional to add at that time. We will absolutely never be ordering from Huddle House again. We had a poor experience the first time and wanted to give them a second chance. Should have gone with our gut the first time.

Table was disgusting and sticky. Had to use hand sanitzer to clean it before we sat down. We arrived at 11:45am. Order was taken at 12pm at 12:46pm received part of my order and was told my eggs were wrong. 12 minutes later she finally had the other part of order while my waffle was ice cold. Oh and she never brought syrup to the table. I gave all the food back and left. I will never return. Worse service and the "So Called Manager" was the dam waitress. Horrible Experience!!!

Ordered 6 smash burger combos online, 3 with bacon. All the food was cold, burgers and fries were not seasoned. Only 1 patty on each burger. 1 of the bacon cheeseburger did not even have a patty! None of the cheese was melted on any of the sandwiches. The order was supposed to be ready for pickup at 2:01. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the order to be ready and it was all cold!!!! When I called to complain, they didn’t know what they could do since it was an online order!!!!

Ok so …. I initially thought that Huddle House lacked a good customer base because of the new brunch spots popping up in and around Forney, but No. You all don’t have customers because the food is horrible! We’ve come here before and it was decent; not my top 10 but still worth a revisit. But today, on Mothers Day too…the quality and taste of the food is so bad. Best thing I enjoyed was the orange juice. Y’all need a better chef.

Food was really good but the roaches ruined the experience. I would give 1 star if the breakfast wasn't good. Probably will not be back though after this guy crept up on me next to the window. Had to run out immediately. Makes me wonder how clean everything is in the back. I wouldn't trust other reviews saying this establishment is clean.

I placed an order via Uber eats. I listed on my burrito to have no gravy or sausage. When I received my order it was smothered in gravy. I called to get a refund and I was willing to return the food. The manger said call Uber for a refund. I called Uber and no refund was issued. Do not recommend ordering from here a simple order cannot even be fulfilled.
