Stopped by after a long day of travel. The food was delicious. Had a two meat dinner (sausage and brisket) creamed corn, fried cabbage and and extra potato salad. Some of the best sides I’ve ever had. The service as impeccable, friendly and our meals were served hot. Price was reasonable This is a don’t miss meal! And to make it ever better, they had delicious banana pudding. 😃

We had the pleasure of visiting Soulman's Bar-B-Que with friends and family and had a pleasant experience. As we pulled into the parking lot, we noticed a few handicapped ♿️ parking spaces. Once inside, we could smell the food and knew our clients who would eat it would be happy. The restaurant was clean and neat, and there were a lot of people eating inside with only a few seats open. The customer service received from the employees was really good. We were told the fish and ribs were delicious. "Our Purpose Is Your Blessing"

Stopped in on August 15th and was greeted and served by Kenneth. Out of every location I have ever been to, the ribs Kenneth cooked that day were the best I had ever had at over 10-15 other times I have visited other locations. Typically I get mediocre robs at Sam's, but that day they were perfect. Good job Kenneth 👍👍

Really good food. The sausage has an amazing flavor and is my fav. The chicken has a nice pecan smoke. The fried cabbage is flavorful and not too hot despite the jalapeños. The bowls are HUGE so bring your appetite.

I've always liked soulmates. I usually get the outside special and unlike a lot of places the beef inside of my sandwich isn't charcoal tasting. And you get two really really good sides better than most barbecue places in the area.

We were greeted the second we walked in by a very friendly staff. We had never been to a Soulmans before and the manager Kenneth did a great job explaining all the options. We went for a 3 meat combo and 4 sides. Everything was delicious! We will make sure to add extra time onto our trips each year so that we can eat here! Thank you Kenneth and team for your great service and even better food! Oh and we loved the little ice cream cone at the end!!!

Great Bar-B-Que and sides! Soulman's is one of my personal favorites in Greeneville. The service has always been great, and the atmosphere is very nice. The sandwich along with the sides are always great, and to top everything off you can get complementary soft served ice-cream.

I thought overall for being a chain restaurant this place was really good. I was a bit hesitant at first but I would highly recommend. The brisket and chicken were moist and full of flavor. The potato salad and cabbage sides were tasty. The Mac and cheese and banana pudding were okay. I really liked thier bbq sauce. I do think their prices are a little pricer than I expected. A 2 meat brisket and chicken plate with 2 sides and a side of banana pudding and a cup for water was about $26.

I just have to say that having frequented a number of restaurants. I absolutely love Soulmans. I would highly highly highly recommend. The ribs and sides are awesome or if you wanting the brisket it's really good quality. You have your own booth privacy and lots of space. The one we mostly frequent is the Greenville Texas location. The staff are always friendly and vibrant. Thank you for making this such a great experience. To top it all nowhere else in Texas you get to exit the building after an amazing meal and can ring a bell that resonates a satiated person. Awesome!

I went to dine in, and was greeted by very busy staff. Despite this they quickly got the line moving (it was full inside). I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with two sides (mash potato and Mac and cheese), and a lemonade. The food was fresh, and very warm/hot. I forgot to take a picture, but I did take one of the FREE ice cream I got from the ice cream machine next to the drink dispenser.

Brisket, and hot links, and sids oh my! We were told to go here and they did not disappoint. From the time you walk in it's amazing. The staff was friendly, prices and amount of food you get... excellent. The food didn't just look good, it was fantastic. Somebody has their grandma helping in the back. That buttermilk pie was EVERYTHING. Lots of space, clean, well lit and it's fun to ring the bell as you walk out! I'm DEFINITELY coming back!

First time eating here. Finally gave it to all the billboards along the highway. The bar-b-q was good and the sides were good. Service was very quick. Only notes I would have would be that the restaurant temperature was a little warm. Made it a little hard to enjoy the food.

We were greeted with a smile by the meat cutter (assumably the manager?). But it went downhill from there. Food was good and plentiful, but most of the employees seemed to have no clue what was going on and were not attentive when customers approached the counter. Also the tea tasted like unfiltered city water.

Stopped by for lunch. I got through the door, picked up a tray and silverware. I ordered a sliced brisket plate. They put the meat on the plate. I put the 2 sides on the plate. The hot sides like beans or corn are first and then around the corner are the cold sides like cole slaw or potato salad. I got a drink glass and paid for my food. The garnishes are is next for items like onions and jalapenos. Filled up the drink glass and went to a table. I ate up all the good food. They have free ice cream cones, self serve, and I ate one of them.

Yum! Ribs are delish! Side order portions could be a little bigger for the price. Rustic decor; very fitting for a BBQ place. I did carry out. Quick service.

Overall really good. The potatoes and meat was great, but the sides were mediocre. If you’re craving some decent priced bbq, this place is good. Lots of food for the price, and tasted fresh.

Good for what it is. I probably wouldn't have ever eaten here had Ernies not changed so much after the FFTL people bought it. Solid when you want quick BBQ, just temper your expectations and understand this is a chain BBQ spot.

Had a hankering for brisket saw a wide spot to park my truck so I pulled on in and ordered up a large sandwich with fries and a apple pie. Just like always the food was fresh and delicious. Pro: good food and free relish bar and icecream & clean restrooms. The only con that day although the crew was very nice they did tend to ignore customer a bit too much for my taste. All in all I would recommend this place to others.

Was excited to find them amd see gluten free detail on the pdf before i went in however never thought to look beyond the meat and learned the bbq sauce contained gluten. That's alot of trouble they went to to mark a bbq place gluten free but not be able to have bbq sauce. Extremely disappointed in the very small amount of meat on the double barrel baked potato. It said to ask for meat with a little flavor if u didn't want it really lean but i felt like i hqd mouthfuls of fat hardly any meat. Im going to have to go through a drive through when i leave to get some protein. Im sorry i dont like leaving less than great reviews but this left me sad and hungry after a long look driving hoping for something gluten free and local.

They advertise that their portions are more generous than other places. Not so. I wish that I'd taken a pic. I asked that my meat not be chopped into tiny bits. Nope, tiny bits. Green beans swimming in water and half a small portion cup of coleslaw. I was fooled by the name.

Ribs were overcooked and over seasoned for my standards but still good enough. I would love the option to get a Yukon Gold instead of a russet potato. We really only ate there because we had a coupon. Also the price is not worth it $$$

I dunno what's up with the people that work here, but every to go order I've placed did not get completed until well after I had arrived... that wouldn't be that big of a deal if it wasn't for the fact that when I came in they were hanging out not working on a single order.. until after I asked for my to go order, THEN they started working on it. Every single thing was ready. They didn't have to cook anything. They simply had not put the food in togo containers. The food I saw them put in had been sitting around for an undetermined amount of time. When I got home (I live 3 min away) the meat was cold 🙃 not even kind of warm. Had to reheat everything before eating. Fries had been sitting in a basket already cooked and then I watched them put it back in the fryer oil to heat it back up, I think?? They had fresh uncooked fries next to it so I could easily tell the fries they put in the fryer had already been cooked once. I asked for lean brisket and got about a 1/4 of it that was pure marbley fat. I've given this location a few tries over the last year or so, but overall quality and service seems to have gotten worse.

Visited the Greenville Texas location although I live Sulphur Springs. Not too busy in the middle of the afternoon. Came for the Hot Links and Buttermilk Pie. Great as always. 7/6/2022 Visited. Thought meat portion smaller than in the past. Not provided Texas Toast. I went back ask but they had none prepared. Said would make more...take 3 minutes. Never got the Toast. Kinda missed that. Also, the TVs in the seating are are gone. I don't go to Soulmans to watch sports but it was a nice touch. Overall, service has gone down and food portion was smaller.

Bumped my 5 star review does to a 1 bc my wife called today to try and reserve a brisket for Thanksgiving this year and the female dog Karen she talked to at the restaurant, would not help her and was very rude. Be more professional or we will make a few phone calls and get you shut down. I'm sure we can find some sort of violations at your place of business.

Ordered the pulled pork sandwich, spicy potatoes and mac & cheese. The pulled pork was bone dry, even the ends were slightly crunchy, adding sauce didn't help much. The spicy potatoes were fair but apparently potatoes are hard to find because he placed a small ration (22 cubes to be exact) on the plate. The mac & cheese was ok. People were polite and service was quick but I would rather have a good meal. About $12 later and I left hungry and disappointed.

Order the rib plate from the Greenville, Texas location. The ribs were dry absolutely horrible!

I used to get food from here more often but lately the meat has been mostly fat and just doesn’t taste right at all, the bread is hard and stale and the baked potato was very overcooked. Basically nothing from this most recent order was really edible. I’m so disappointed. I’ve tried giving them several chances hoping it would go back to how it used to be but it’s just gotten worse. Someone needs to learn how to cut brisket. Unfortunately I won’t be eating here again.

This time I spent 51.00 on two dinners and a dessert. I placed the order online and when I got there they said they didn’t have the order. After they found it the order was not correct. Two of the sides were incorrect sizes. I ordered a 16 oz pudding and got an 8 oz. Since Google not the Soulman’s app will allow me to post another review I have to add to this one. Again, I spent 60.00 for them to leave half the order out and mess up what we did get. We had to drive back up there and wait another 15 minutes for the to “fix” the problem and we still did not get the toppings for the potatoes that we repeatedly requested. I despise spending my money here but due to lack of options my family insists on wasting my hard earned money to this place out if some misguided sense of loyalty. The take out service is criminal at this point and the fact they advertise being a Christian based company is sickening. I feel very confident in saying that almost every single time we order there is something missing from our order most of the time it is an entire entree so we do not get to sit down and eat together because someone has to go back up there.

Started eating at Soulmans in Terrell 20 it so years ago, have since also eat n at Quinlan location and now this one. Mediocre did at best 2 meat meal to go, ribs were dry, rather tasteless. The white meat chicken quarter, hopelessly dry. Fries while they still do fresh cut were right out of fryer and very under cooked, Friend Orka so over cooked to be totally ineatable. Total waste of 16$ Also don't believe their billboard, they do not have truck parking.

I ordered the one meat plate and food was decent but they did not give me barbeque sauce or toast with my meal. The heavyset blonde woman who was cutting the meat gave me a dirty look for no reason and then went to the back to gossip with the other 3 or 4 women who were there leaving just one person in the front to wait on customers. I will go to the Quinlan location in the future as they seem to be more friendly and helpful.

Not really sure how this place is rated so highly, probably some of the worst barbecue I’ve ever had in Texas. Very low quality meats, little to no flavor and the sides were very lackluster. I would say the McDonald’s of barbecue. Please do not waste your money, that was $60 I can never get back. The staff were friendly, but I cannot recommend the food.

Not impressed at all... Pulled pork was mush,,like potted meat. Sauce was good but the cheap bun soaked up all the moisture. Pinto beans had good flavor but undercooked. They gave me dry potato chunks instead of Mac and cheese that I ordered . I'm going 2 out of 10 .....

We made a pickup order through the website. When we got the food, it was cold. The girl at the window was very sweet, and welcoming. The brisket was very tender, but VERY BLAND! The chicken was excellent, very seasoned; and juicy. The chopped beef was almost like jerky, and the fried cabbage was almost too spicy; to enjoy. Overall, for the money I spent; I'm not satisfied. I could have made this myself, and got an actual barbeque taste!

I was in the drive thru @ about 7:30 at the window I made my order but while waiting there was this older women picking at her nose. So disgusting to be working around food picking your nose and then wiping in on her close. You never know who's watching your every move. I won't be ordering from there anymore. Have been to this place numerous times. Never had a bad experience til today. The meat cutter was a female not sure what her name is. Manager would not tell me. I spent about 120.00 dollars on BBQ for my family and it was not worth it. The female meat cutter thinly sliced all meat and barely put much on plates. I asked her to please put the right amount of meat and she preceeded to argue with me. To top it off she was to busy conversing with co workers and said out loud in front of several customers that she was going to commit suicide and than laughed. I am very displeased with the service. So disappointed. I did call manager and complain but manager just said she would address it but I got the feeling that won't happen. Again so disappointed. ....

Very STINGY with their meat. So disappointed that they CHEAT you with the weight on your meat. We ordered a Super Chuck wagon which was supposed to be 2 lbs. of meat. The guy stopped at 1.25 lbs. Then proceeded to put tidbits, when he re weighed it, it was still way less than 2 lbs. It would explain why they put a Lego toy in front of the machine to cover or block it, so you couldn't really see how much meat you're getting. Does not compare to the other Soulmans in Mesquite. I would not recommend this place.

Asked the cashier to take the plain potato that they haven't even given to us yet off the ticket. He said I can't it already rang up...are you kidding me! Wow teach your employees how to use the register! Ended up paying over $8 for a potato we didn't even want! Will NEVER go back!

I paid 54.42$ for 1 Lbs of fat? Let’s start with the meat, or should I say Fat, disgusting, inedible, and it looked boiled NOT smoked, it tasted like water and grease. Next we have the service, garbage, I couldn’t even understand the cashier, I asked them to repeat themselves TWICE before giving up and moving on. Speak up, Speak clear. Rule 2 of food service, Rule one is often considered “The customer is always right”. Then you’ve got fountain drinks out of syrup? No sign, just out, sounds like someone is lazy. Let’s walk to our table, not 1 not 2, but 4 tables with trash and trays sitting on them. Hate to break it to you, but the Greenville location was NOT busy enough to justify the lack of table bussing… Lazy. How about the rest of the meal? Well the macaroni and cheese was dry and crusty (disgusting), the spicy potatoes had more salt then the Atlantic, the potato salad was paste, no texture whatsoever, and the saddest of all.. my poor banana pudding, more than a day old (and let me tell you I know my pudding), nilla wafers are a tough cookie, it takes a long time for them to have no discernible texture from the pudding. Is this the quality you hold your managers to? Last I checked managers and assistant managers are the only ones who can cut meat right? For quality control. Well let me tell you who cut mine, Blonde, female, Braids. This was NOT quality control. I’ve been going here for 4 years because of the quality of meat, but I suppose all good things come to an end?
