Opinions de Tony's Italian Kitchen Greenville
The food and staff are amazing! I highly recommend checking out the daily special board as it as always something very yummy. Also, even if you don't same room for dessert (which with the wonderful fresh baked bread is almost always the case), be sure to get some tiramisu, you won't be disappointed (unless they ran out lol).
We are in Greenville for the weekend and ate at Tony's and it was very good. The rolls are excellent. The ranch dressing is great. The spaghetti and meat sauce is fantastic. Ewete from Houston and have been to many many Italian restaurants there and the food here is as good if not better than most of those places that are more expensive. Even the butter was creamy and delicious. And I don't normally write reviews but Tony's deserved attention.
Tony's is the absolute best Italian in Greenville. I love how they redone it inside. Makes you feel like you are in Italy. Very warming place. I love the lasagna, huge portions. Great menu specials. The bread is all made fresh and so yummy. The waitresses are very friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone!!
Always a great meal here! I love the pink sauce with my awesome bread rolls. I can make that a meal itself. Portions are generous so plan on having a full happy belly 😊
Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo - excellent Pasta Sampler Dinners - excellent Sausage Spaghetti - excellent Salads were.crisp and huge. Friday evening - busy but comfortable. Waitress was very friendly and knowledgable. Chef came out to.talk to us. Very cordial. Atmosphere of family dining and very.pleasant. Critique - outside signage could use a professional touch. 5 Stars - great food, lots of it, and just what.we needed.
Great meal. Our server was fun, and the food was excellent. Seemed to have a real pride in ownership. Ate there while passing through Greenville and were so glad we did!
Food is wonderful as well as the staff. Been going here for at least 10 years and it's never disappointed. Portions are big. Food is fresh and bread is to die for! These guys take pride in what they do!
This place has great food and the amaretto cheesecake is the best!
This place is awesome, doesn't matter if you eat there or take out it is awesome. We have be eating here for years service is always great , bathrooms are always clean nice decorations are great. If you haven't ever eaten there before give them a chance to earn your business. Keep up the great work.
I love this place, it is indeed a little different from places like Luigis but I have never had a bad meal here! I think its just a good little place.
Wonderful Old Italy feel here. The bread appeared home made, the Fettuccine and Alfredo sauce was delicious. Only the cubed chicken took me away from 5 stars for food. I'll return for lunch again for sure.
Very laid back atmosphere. Tony and his staff are so friendly. He makes sure to walk around to every table and greet his guests. Also, the spaghetti and red sauce - fantastic. I've never had a bad experience here.
I love Tony's kitchen! They are such an amazing, family friendly restaurant, may God prosper your restaurant and bless your lives eternally 🙏
The food at Tony's is very good and the wait staff was also very friendly. The prices are great for the quality of food. I would definitely make this a regular stop if I lived in the area. Thank you, Tony, for the great dining experience.
Tony's is great! The service is quick and the food is tasty. The restaurant was recently remodeled and is perfect for a casual date night. I've never had a bad experience in the years I've been eating here. I recommend the Chicken Tortezini with the pink sauce.
Great food!!! Will definitely be coming back. Lasagna was great! Garlic bread very good. My husband had the special Lobster ravioli with shrimp primavera on ziti.... absolutely fantastic! Great service and atmosphere.
Definitely my favorite locally owned/operated restaurant in Greenville. Tony is a great host, and his staff is reliably courteous and helpful. I usually enjoy the baked ziti, but have tried many other menu items, and haven't found anything that wasn't delicious! The fresh bread they bring out before the meal is too good! I have to limit myself to have some room left in my tummy for the main meal. :)
We both got the sampler and it was awesome! Great server! We will definitely be back if we go through Greenville again…..and the rolls…yum! I could make a meal out of those alone!
My husband and I went to Tony's for the first time the other night. The service was amazing, our waitress was so friendly! The food was absolutely delectable. I had Frutti De Mare pasta and my husband had chicken Rossini. Both were so good that we kept stealing bites from each other. We will definitely be back, if you go.. be sure to try the tiramisu for dessert!
Food is delicious and service is very attentive. Generous portions and fair prices. Very cozy atmosphere I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food
I had a business meeting here today and decided to go ahead and eat lunch here. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was a huge portion and was better than mine which I love mine. I will definitely come back here when I come to Greenville. The remodel on the outside is beautiful in the inside has been updated it looks like and is very nice definitely a great place to come back to
We eat here often, maybe once a month and always enjoy our food. Everything is fresh and we always have good service. Recommended this place.
Great service! Great food!! Great atmosphere!!! Very friendly staff!!!
The food is great! Always like to support small town businesses!
Great food! Great service! Relaxed atmosphere! The homemade meatballs were fantastic! Best I've had in any restaurant. Rolls were so good but get the pink sauce to dip them in. The pink sauce just brings the rolls to another level.
My boyfriend and I went here for lunch and one of the owners recommended the new special they had it was so delicious it was big enough for us to share! The bread was fresh and warm! Very friendly staff! This is our new fav place to go!
We had the pasta sampler trio and the eggplant Parm. Both dishes were good. The service was friendly and the just right amount of attention. The rolls are delicious! Nice place for a Saturday lunch, casual dinner, or family /friends gathering. Recommended.
Our waitress (Kristen)was fantastic. Very accommodating. And the food was very good. It was our first time here and we will absolutely be back!
We went here for dinner before a show. It was absolutely delicious. The owner was going to the tables to greet and thank his customers. I had chicken cacciatore and my friend had chicken picatta. Also, the warm rolls were wonderful.
Love this place! Rosa was an amazing server. We had many questions and she was polite and knowledgeable! My friend and I both had a different cheese tortellini dish, both were amazing. The bread was phenomenal! We both ordered to go meals for our families and they loved them. We were given more bread and extras with the to go. Wish this place was in Rowlett. We will be definitely driving here at least once a month!
Amazing quality food in a local establishment. Yes they have Italian beer. The food is the star here not the decor. Pricing is very reasonable and portions are generous.
One of the best places I have ever been to, this place deserves all the love. Great vibe and even better food. Service is super fast and lovely. 10/10 recommended
My relatives came in from Abilene to spend some time with me and they wanted Italian. I was so pleased when our dinners came out picture perfect. Everything was delicious. My sister in law had the spaghetti and meat balls, my niece had shrimp scampi. They loved it and I was so happy that they enjoyed such a great meal while visiting. It was also our birthdays. The interior of the restaurant was very pretty and very clean. The service was great. I recommend Tony's highly.
There sauces are to watered down. The last time my husband and I were there the spaghetti was tough we could not chew it. Meat balls were very good. They use to be a lot better, not sure what happened. Service was great.
This was some of the best Italian food! I love when salads come out ice cold and the house vinaigrette was delicious! We ordered the pasta sampler and it was piping hot and yummy and it was plenty of food we left stuffed!
We got the take out and the chic parm and meatball sandwich were the best I've had. Super good! Everything tasted fresh and Uniquely good!
It was soo good !!! Best Italian restaurant ive ever been too! Great service too, very kind and friendly 💕
Amazing menu but pricey and quiet. Not there during lunch or dinner but only 2 people there around 7pm.
Me and my mom have been coming here for a very long time. I love Tony. He’s a very special man that knows what he’s doing. We love you Tony. Thanks for every thing B
📍 Tony’s Italian Kitchen – Greenville, TX 🗓️ 09/13/2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) In a world of cookie-cutter restaurants 🍔🍟, this Italian gem 💎🇮🇹 is a true American treasure 🇺🇸. The food was absolutely fantastic 🤤🍝, the atmosphere was warm and unique 🏡✨, and the service felt like family ❤️👨👩👧👦—a delightful taste of originality and heritage. We started with the antipasta 🥗🥖, which was fresh and flavorful. Then came the pasta sampler 🍝—three classics in one: lasagna, manicotti, and cannelloni 🧀🔥. Each bite was layered with rich cheese 🧀, tender homemade pasta 🍝, and Tony’s incredible house sauce 🍅🍷. This is the kind of place that makes you slow down, savor, and smile 😊🙌. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian with heart and history 💯👏🍷.
I have been in Greenville since 1999 and Tony’s was the very first Italian restaurant that I had visited. It was my favorite then and almost 30 years later it’s still my favorite Italian restaurant in Hunt County and possibly anywhere. Everyone has always been very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I was too busy eating to snap a photo but please just take my word for it and give it a try if you’re new to the area or even if you’re not but have never been to Tony’s. You won’t leave disappointed.
I can sum it up in three words. Dee Lee Chus! It was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me to Italy with its charming decor and warm lighting. The menu offered a wide selection of authentic Italian dishes, each bursting with flavor and prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly attentive. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving an unforgettable Italian dining experience. Buon appetito!
Lovely little hole in the wall Italian restaurant, we did almost miss it driving to it. At first, we weren't sure if the restaurant was open or not; the only indicator was the open sign. We went for an early dinner around 4 pm, the restaurant wasn't busy. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint, the music wasn't too loud like you find in some restaurants. Our waitress was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. She covered the whole restaurant as more people came in. We started off with complementary bread and ordered oil to go with it. The oil had a robust flavor full of herbs and garlic. If you do not like garlic, then this would not be for you since there was a generous amount of garlic in the oil. We proceeded to order spaghetti with meat sauce, manicotti, and the pasta sampler. The pasta sampler included lasagna, manicotti, and cannelloni. The portions were more than enough, and the flavors were rich but not overpowering. We did order a baklava to go, which had the perfect flake to it. It was sweet but not too sweet and had the perfect drizzle on top. Perfect way to end the meal.
After years of not eating at Tony's, my fiance and I decided to go there for date night. Our waitress Alma was amazing !! She made sure our experience was great! The food was incredible and well worth the money!! We are definitely going back! Also my fiance got the super sub to go and stated that it's incredible and it took him 3 days to eat it at lunch while he was at work! We got the fried raviolis, the brucretta, my finance got the pasta sampler, and I got the lobster ravioli!! When you are seated a basket of 4 huge rolls come to your table! Everything was amazing. Definitely recommend!
2nd visit. Fried cheese ravioli, generous salads, generous main dishes - just don't order all at the same time! Nice old Italian atmosphere inside but very limited wine selection. And very reasonable prices. Wish we lived closer!
Ate here with a group of 15 people. Great service and we all enjoyed our meals. Wine and beer available. I enjoyed my salmon linguine. Portions are large. Tony even came out to say hello to us.
Calimari was fried too long and the main dishes came out before we could even start the salad. Taking the main dish back to keep it warm did not keep it warm. But the food is really good hot and reasonably priced. Now that I know how to time the orders we will be back.
It's really pricey but you get a large portion. Rolls and butter are included with your meal, they are knot rolls and are delicious. You are allowed to share plates to compensate for the prices. The children's menu is actually fairly affordable, our kid likes their spaghetti, but says we make it better at home. Their eggplant parmesan is pretty good. It's a small-ish restaurant. They have parking with handicapped access. Restrooms are also handicapped accessible. It's is a tad cramped when they are busy. I have back problems and regular cafe chairs hurt terribly, that and the prices are the reason for the downgrade from 5 stars. But do go at least once to try their rolls because they are so so good.
The combination plate was bad. Seemed like it was either old or undercooked. The pasta in all of them was hard. But the Chicken and sausage jambota, I think that was the name, was amazing. Service was week. Not sure if the young gal was family or just a young hire but she needed a bit more work. Other than that it was ok... A wrestling match on the TV and that's it.
Upon walking in the door, I was greeted with a welcome and a smile. I paid for my order of Calamari and Eggplant Parm and was thanked. As I went to exit the young lady who welcomed me asked if she could get the door for me. I love customer service and the food was great. Definitely will go back, and seriously reccomend.
I do not often award 5 stars, so 4 stars is pretty much the tops. This restaurant was clean, quiet, accommodating. The food was delicious a.d the server, Kristin, was very pleasant, patient with our large group, attentive and generally awesome.
Ate here Sunday, Sep 8th around 1pm - no lines and no waiting. Sat where we wanted. Service was quick with bread and drinks. Egg plant parmigiana and Carbonero were good. Pasta was a little tough and chewy. Bacon in the carbonero was strips of bacon cut up into bite sizes. It was okay. Sauce was rich and creamy. I was slopping' it up with the big ole bread roll towards the end. Along with teas I made it out at $42 buckaroos.
We ate here for the first time on Easter Sunday. They were busy and down a server but once we were seated, the food came out quickly. The bread is served fresh and warm. Loved the butter! I had the Chicken Piccata and my husband had the Shrimp Jambota. Both were tasty and big enough to bring home leftovers. We will definitely be back to try other items.
The food was fine but not great. I ordered chicken parmesan. It came with spaghetti. My husband ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was made with iceberg lettuce and some type of sweet tasting dressing. The cannoli and cheesecake were average.
Service was fairly decent. The bread is just not very good here. Ordered the lasagna and the sauce was disgustingly sweet and there wasn't much flavor overall. Willing to give it a second shot but not impressed.
Most of the food was cold which made me think things aren't fresh but reheated. My son had meatballs that tasted like frozen and where cold in the middle. The building smelled a little moldy.
I have lived in the area for 17 years and had never tried it. Excited after reading the reviews so I called for a take out at around 3:30 pm on Friday. I ordered the Shrimp fettuccine Alfredo $21-$22. Just a little surprised for the price that it only came with bread and butter if you want salad it is an additional charge. The shrimp was very large delicious and tender maybe 6 pieces? The Alfredo sauce was awesome as well and just the right amount. However the fettuccine I felt was a little bit under cooked to my taste and a little stiff . Iam not a bread person but the bread heated up with the butter was excellent. I ordered the tiaramissu and found it frozen in the middle in places , the flavor a little disappointing as well. Not sure if I will go back or not ? However when I pulled up to Tonys the lady came walking outside with a smile and my order in hand. Impressive.
The food was good, the waitress great. The garlic bread I had loved the last time there, wasnt garlicky thos time, and the butter hard as a rock so didnt spread on the barely warm bread. The prices are a little pricey for a lunch. Worse was that the cashier overcharged both of us and we had to correct him.
Was not the best meal, the flavor was there but the noodles weren't all the way cooked and some of them were clumped together. My wife had the chicken parmesan and it was fairly bland. The bread came to the table without any butter or marinara to dip it in. It was soft bread, but not moist enough to eat alone without dipping sauce.
It was 7 PM on a Saturday night. There were maybe 4 tables total and service was slow. I ordered chicken parmigian. Food wasn't too bad but 60 bucks for 3 was a little much for the quality. But for Greenville TX and that it is practically the only place to get Italian food, its worth the stop.
Good food I haven’t been in so long. But when I was handed my drink there was a fly in my drink only took 2 sip and I look in my cup there was one fly. The lady was kind and gave me a new one but I definitely think they shouldn’t have to charge me for the drink. But I still recommend this place they always have hot amazing food.
The hostess/waitress was very friendly and attentive. The excellent warm rolls she brought out to start were unfortunately the high point of the meal. The spaghetti and meatballs were OK, but the sauce didn't have much taste to it. Two in our party ordered chicken dishes which were described as having a boneless chicken breast, but the meat was obviously a processed chicken patty. The hostess agreed not to charge us for one of the entrees. That's NOT something I would normally ask for, but I pointed it out respectfully and there was no drama. I also don't like to leave bad reviews but people should know what to expect here.
Good staff, friendly environment, but food came out poor. 2 of us ordered chicken Alfredo, the sauce was very watered down and the chicken seemed to have no seasoning. At least the bread was good! Person I came with didn’t want to finish the plate.
Bread is good, servers are nice. But the food quality has gone downhill since the pandemic, and prices have gone up. Last time I came about a week ago, I felt very let down. I ordered lasagna and it was only about 1 inch thick and tasted microwaved. Decided we probably won’t be back because this is the second time in the past few months that it didn’t taste great, but with the price increase on top of that? Nah.
We met friends for dinner here because my husband remembered this place as being amazing. Unfortunately, it is not what it used to be. The food tasted reheated and just wasn't good. The same awful Christmas cd played 3 times. And I spent the next day miserably sick. I wish I could recommend this place, but it's just not good anymore.
Did not take a long time and the bread was great. However, the Chicken Picatta was just a few pieces of cubed up chicken tossed in the sauce, not a full piece of sautéed chicken. Only went there because Luigi's in Quinlan was closed.
I've eaten at Tony's Italian restaurant since opening. I've always enjoyed my dining experience whether it's been lunch or dinner, eat in or carry out. We decided to stop in since it had been awhile having eaten here. Boy let me say we were both very unhappy with our main course. My friends meatballs tasted like they were from the freezer section of a grocery store, no joke, and my dish was ordered with light sauce and it had so much on it I couldn't taste my eggplant and was spicy hot. The salads were beautiful and rolls with butter delicious. We tip our waitress, Alma, at table, who did her best at resolving our terrible dishes. Get up to register to pay and was almost $50, and no alcohol or dessert. Got charged too much. Never again, sorry Tony, you have lost 2 long time customers. I'll stick with Luigi's
Where is the flavor? Fettuccini Alfredo w/Chicken. The dish (other than the alfredo sauce) had no added flavor. The noodles were dropped in water until ready and the chicken was cooked until done. But there were no hints of ANY spices, salt or pepper. This unfortunately is not new, but is why I have not been here in six months. On a whim I thought I would give it another try at lunch today. Is this really "Italian" as Italian food is meant to be? Bland and flavorless.
It's been at least a year since my first and last visit to this place. The decor was not too horrible, could have done better. The waitress was emotionless, and seemed like our presence was a burden. The menu was the best part, it had so many selections to choose from. The food itself was bland, and had this whole "fake sloppy Italian" feel to it. Thankfully the rolls were not too shabby, but I've had much better. You'd think this hole in the wall would actually be good compared to the average Italian restaurant chains out there. I am so thrilled to see that a new Italian place just recently opened up in town (Tuscan Slice). Their decor (inside and out) is eye pleasing, thank Zeus! The food is delicious, and their menu has plenty to choose from. But all in all, I have to say Tony's is most likely going to go under pretty soon, unless they completely turn things around. I give Tony's an F.
I used to eat here several times a week but I moved out of town. So while in town, I decided to eat here. The quantity of food is good, but the quality has gone way down. It was about $20/plate but frankly I could have gone for fast food and had a better meal.
Went here and ordered spaghetti and meatballs, spaghetti and meat sauce, and super sub. Both spaghetti dishes smelled off like beef was off. One person went ahead and ate it the other just picked and said I can't eat it. The sub was ok, but not real high quality meats like the menu suggest about using the fines and freshest ingredients. Service was pretty slow for how few tables were in there but waitress was very polite. Hopefully no one gets sick but yea the meat sauces both smelled like off beef.
Horrible food and the claim its all fresh but have giant tubs of pasta that was cooked the day b4 that they were just grabbing what they needed then dunking the pre cooked noodles in hot water a few min. The prices are ridiculous for one chinken Florentine and a small sweet tea was damn near 30.00 bucks. The pic is a size reference that's a small paper plate of basically chicken alfredo with mushrooms and spinach.
Had Tony's for the first time and am thoroughly disappointed. The flavors were satisfactory but the chicken was processed not fresh and if I'm paying that much I expect fresh chicken or at the very least unprocessed. I will not be going back.
The only reason this place is even getting two stars is because of the friendly waitress. Went here for my wife's birthday and was utterly disappointed. The roof was taped together(not joking, literally taped), the bathrooms were disgusting, and as for the food, it's the only place I've ever asked to leave after seeing the quality of the entree! Still gave 35 dollars for the overpriced under quality calamari, and 2 drinks. Will never return, left feeling embarrassed and apologizing to my wife for even choosing this restaurant!
I took my family here after hosting an open house, near by, I was very disappointed, i was expecting better especially after i read the google reviews. The food is very OVER priced for the quality of food. I had the chicken Parmesan and my wife the Lasagna neither tasted good, it had a frozen food taste to it. The bread was also hard and a bit cold, they dont sell pizza either 😏. The only reason i gave a 2 star is because the waiters was nice. The restroom was also not clean. I came on a Sunday, maybe the good reviews showing a 5 star experience came on a different day.
The wife had veal piccata with a Ceasar salad and I had the eggplant. The veal had maybe 6 bite size pieces of veal served sitting in sauce in a soup bowl. Decent flavor. Horrible presentation. Her Ceasar salad was made with iceberg lettuce, no anchovies and no parmesan cheese. It was a tossed salad with Ceasar dressing. My eggplant was ok but you have to try to screw that up. The menu proudly boasts that they have all the makings in house so if there is something off menu you would like they would be happy to prepare it. I asked for the staple Italian dish Putenesca. The waitress had never heard of it and the kitchen refused to prepare it. This place has sunk to an unacceptable level and we will not return.
My wife and I don’t get date nights very often. We pass by Tony’s every time we go through Greenville. So we decided to give it a try. Being of Sicilian descent, I love finding those hidden gems when it comes to good food. We go in and was instantly greeted by the waitress. We sat down and ordered some drinks as we perused the menu. As we were looking through the menu my wife asked the waitress what her favorites were. She told us, but a good veal Marsala caught my eye. My wife ordered the chicken mimozo(?). We also ordered a salad as a starter. The salad, great. The bread wasn’t bad, nothing special, but not horrible. Our food gets to the table. It was very strange to me. The veal Marsala or Scaloppine al Marsala as I know it had so many issues. The first thing I noticed was the Marsala sauce. It was very soupy. It was so thin that zero of it would stick to the pasta. The flavor was ok, but not a Marsala sauce. Then it was the “veal”. Never in my life have I seen veal Marsala have the veal cut in strips. Strips? It should have been cutlets. Usually about a quarter inch thick. But being in strips made them so tough and chewy. Even sitting in that “Marsala” soup didn’t help. I tried but couldn’t bring myself to finish it. Now to my wife’s meal the chicken mimozo. If this was supposed to be chicken mimosa, then is was a little different. The description said “pink” sauce, not really a pink sauce. More of an orange colored sauce, and like the Marsala sauce waaaayy thin. Not sure of the chef was trying to make it stretch by adding water. If that’s the case, should have used pasta water. The starch would have thickened it up some. Before the main course we were deciding if this would be a good place to bring our very picky seven year old. We agreed yes, but after the main course, changed it to probably not. We took the leftovers home. But what we paid and what we got, did not align. We will most likely not be back. But make your own judgement. My experience might not be your experience.
Pick up order: Stouffer's frozen meals would have been so much better and not cost over $150. Chicken Parmesan was made fr frozen chicken patties as well as veal Parmesan. Eggplant was not fully cooked and breading was mush and falling apart. Pastas fr Sampler was undercook. Barely enough sauce. It's like they put together scaps and put cheese in top to make it passable. The only thing that was ok was the bread. This experience was the worst I've ever had. I ate half of my food because I was so hungry but almost lost it all. That's how low grade
This used to be our favorite local restaurant in town, but we haven't been since covid started and decided to go recently. The place has made very obvious budget cuts and the food is sub par now at best. I got the chicken parmesan and it was paper thin with a weird texture, so I sent it back and got the lobster ravioli, which only included 4 ravioli for $25, which used to have 6 for $22. My spouse ordered her usual, chicken alfredo, which tasted like it was left out over night. We were highly disappointed and won't be back, and can't wait until the new Italian place opens in town to try out, since that's our favorite type of cuisine.
I don't understand what happened to this place. The menu clearly states that the chicken tortizini comes with grilled chicken, and I remember when it used to and it was good. Today I was given extremely watered down pasta with chopped up, breaded, ground chicken patties. I hate to have to leave a bad review anywhere, especially a place my family used to really love. However, the quality of food here has gone way downhill and the prices are higher than ever. Very disappointing.
The food was mediocre. The restaurant was dusty. The staff was cold, though helpful. My spouse ordered a chicken parmesan sub, and what came out was a Tyson chicken patty monstrosity. Definitely not made in house. I ordered the fried ravioli which were good, but fairly run of the mill. The cannoli were filled to order, so they were at least crunchy, and the only place in town that sells them. The part that really got me was when we paid our bill. We hadn't even finished signing the merchant copy, when a group of men came to the counter and interrupted the transaction. The man at the register then ignored us completely after snatching the receipt from my spouse's hand. No, we will not be going back. No we will not recommend this place to ANYONE. Oh!! And they have a lovely painting of what looks like a noose. Very nice. Also, the whole family was nauseous after getting back home. So, yeah. One star.
Our food had no flavor. The sauce didn't taste of anything not even tomatoes. The alfredo was straight soup in the bowl the fettuccine noodle were clumped and stuck together or undercooked. The only things that tasted good was the Mozzarella sticks and the salad. We will not be going to this place again. The waitress looked unhappy the whole time never once say a smile.
My sweetheart and I were both excited to finally try Tony’s Italian Kitchen, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and chicken cacciatore for takeout, and both dishes were practically inedible. The Alfredo portion was very small, the sauce was thin, and the chicken was cut into strange, tough chunks that were impossible to chew. The chicken cacciatore had a decent portion, but the sauce was watery and wouldn’t stick to the pasta, and again, the chicken was so tough we had to spit it out. For $40, we expected much better quality—especially since our usual local Italian spot provides much larger portions with far superior taste and texture for a better price. We ended up throwing most of it away. Really disappointed, and unfortunately, we won’t be back
Worst Italian in Greenville. Alfredo is extremely runny, cut with water to make it stretch, leading to it being devoid of flavor. The chicken parmigiana tastes like it's a TV dinner. I did not eat mine, and they did not offer me a discount. Save your money, and just buy frozen TV dinners, it will taste exactly the same.
I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread with mushrooms, tomatoes and herbs on it. Got spaghetti with one meatball that wasn't homemade. My garlic bread consisted of bread with mozzarella cheese on it. The absolute worst Italian food I ever had. You should be ashamed to call this Italian food.
This place absolutely sux. If this is authentic Italian food then just get you a bottle of Prego and eat at home. The Sub was cheap steakum at $15 so Jersey Mike's is better. And I ordered a kids spaghetti and was charged for adult. Its ok I can cook.
Everything about this place screems "cheep".... builing is falling apart, they served my "brushetta" on foil, no finesse on my meal, and plastic glasses. The oversized potions seem to be overcompensation for poor quality. Oddly, they dont have regular brushetta but instead, whatever this is. Wouldve loved basal and cheese on my pasta, but wasnt even offered... nobody even checked on me during my meal. The only few customers, despite heavy traffic outside, were two elderly couples. I would not return here.
"Hearty portions"? Maybe in Venezuela. We got 2 fettuccine alfredo plates to-go for $34. I don't think I've ever been more upset/disappointed/felt taken advantage of before. No way this sauce is homemade. Absolutely not. I am 95% sure it's just Ragu/Prego. Had to add cheese and salt we had at home to get an even remote alfredo flavor. Go to Luigi's in Quinlan or Commerce, there's a reason why this dump is always empty. I have lived here for 26 years and been here twice. The second chance I gave it was 10x worse than the last. GOOD RIDDANCE!
