Had a great experience at El Fenix in Greenville, TX! The manager, Jose, was outstanding—very friendly, helpful, and actively supporting his team. He made sure fresh iced tea and chips kept coming and wasn’t afraid to jump in wherever needed. Our server, Lupe, provided excellent service—professional, friendly, and very attentive. The food was great, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend this location!

El Fenix is an extremely great place if you crave genuine, authentic, Mexican cuisine. The food here is spectacular compared to other places, and I find it hard to ignore this place whenever I’m driving past. If you’re just visiting Greenville, or you already live here, you should 100% consider this place. The service is a million times better than most places, food comes quick, hot, and delicious. The employees are all very kind and friendly. Alberto was our waiter recently, and he was extremely friendly and kind, perfecting our orders and getting them out in little to no wait: The atmosphere feels authentic, although I’ve never been to Mexico. Still, worth the time!

This is one of my favorite places to eat at in Greenville. We always stop in when we are here. It’s always clean (even the bathrooms). The staff is always friendly and helpful with anything you need. Food is great, we normally get the fajitas but tonight we did enchiladas. Always grab some sopapilla with honey. DEFINITELY STOP HERE FOR A GREAT MEAL!!!

We have dined at the Greenville location off and on since they opened a few years ago and have dined there twice in the last week, yes, it was that good! The last two times have been awesome and a wonderful experience! The service was fantastic and the food was fresh, great quality and delicious. Ismael runs a clean and inviting location. The staff that waited on us were some of the nicest and tentative people at any restaurant we have ever dined at. Special shout out to Ismael for running a great location and to his staff Kellsie, Miguel, Emma and Cleme for a job very well done. We will definitely be back, soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!

Very classy and well established setup. Pretty big place and nice decor and furnishings. Well trained staff turned over tables effectively like watching a well oiled machine at work. Service was top notch and food was pretty good, not super fantastic but well worth the wait. Even the bathroom was decent and I loved the copper sinks. I got a lot for my money. I ordered the Fajita steak burrito platter. Was a nice load platter with all the usual fixings, including red rice, refried beans, pico and some guacamole along with a huge burrito and the steak was done perfect .

I really like this location and want it to always be here. I’ve been eating at El Fenix my entire life. However it just baffles me how some things can be put off and overlooked after months and on other things years like this paper towel dispenser at this location. This thing in the men’s restroom has not worked correctly in so long and now it looks like this. Very tacky. This is a very simple item to just replace.

Came here on Friday, March 28, 2025. Ordered drinks from the bar, special was beer on tap, they were our of it, had only bottles. Ordered the margarita, barely any salt on rim, and it took almost 20 minutes to arrive, the lomes were completelydried out. The chips were old tasting, the food was pretty good. They need to clean, though. There are layers of dust around the tables in the bar, kind of gross. I ended up getting sick later that evening from the "beef enchiladas", won't eat those again.

El Fenix has been a favorite of my family and I for as far back as I can remember. Most of the time, we go to the location in downtown Dallas. But we would occasionally go to different locations. It was my Granny’s favorite restaurant. So whenever we go, it always gives me memories of her no matter which location. Even though we always pass the Greenville location, we have never actually been inside and eaten. We tried one time and it was so busy, we didn’t have time to wait. But this time my wife and I decided to stop by and grab a bite. We actually had that rare occasion where we were both off of work on the same day. We decided to stop by and grab a bite for lunch. I ordered the classic chicken enchiladas and they were good. My wife, she ordered the tortilla soup with her rice on the side. She enjoyed it but couldn't finish it. The food was good ( not great but good), the only thing I can really complain about was the service. The place was not crowded at all. But we rarely had a visit from our waitress to see if we need anything. Soda, hot sauce refill? So that was a negative for me. She dropped the ticket off and took for ever to come back. So long my wife got up and went and waited in the car. I can say that we will most likely return to El Fenix, but might think twice about this location. Maybe your experience will be different. Really nice staff, but the rest of the experience was just ok. This was my first El Fenix experience, but I was left unimpressed by the food. We had cheese enchiladas with queso and carne sauce, guacamole, a crispy taco and tortilla soup. The soup and taco were our favorites.

My wife ordered us dinner. We didn't get all of our items, and let me tell you, if you're after flavor, you're better off chewing on a shoe. The only thing that was even close to good was the sopapilla. Definitely not worth the wait or money spent.
