So excited to try new food in Calistoga! To be entirely honest, I'm not sure if the food was amazing or if the cocktails just had so much alcohol that I can no longer be counted upon to judge anything. However! This place = awesome! Five thumbs up! Eleventy thousand stars! No seriously, the focaccia - best ever. What kind of mad genius puts pesto into the batter? (This guy) Everything we tried was delicious! And even though the cocktails were boozy as heck, they tasted great! Our waitress was super delightful also. 11/10 would befriend. Come to the Osteria - you will not regret. Grazie!
They just opened two weeks ago but you wouldn't know it! Delicious food and outstanding service. Really sweet atmosphere - definitely warm and inviting! We had calamari, caesar salad, steak, lobster ravioli (special that day) and chicken francaise followed by the lava cake (which we had to share, we were so full) Great stemware for the wine I bought in with me.
Very comfortable Italian restaurant with generally authentic food. Service was good. They have a full-bar; but both of our cocktails (Manhattan and “dry” Vodka Martini) were too sweet. Chicken Parmigiana with Tagliatelle was outstanding; Risotto with Salmon was also very tasty. We ordered a side order of the Focaccia, which was a nice bread, but not really a traditional Focaccia…too bread-like. Overall, a nice and relaxed restaurant in Calistoga. Prices were typical. We'd go back.
Best Italian food I have ever The spinach soup - it melt with the flavor of cheese! The mussels with freshest taste and the match of unforgettable of the white sauce is a must try. Calamari - so impress with the sides Low temp braised beef. - the beef is super soft, you can use the fork to easily tears and separate it. With the pasta infuse so well with the red sauce the the juice of the beef Tiramisu. Worths to wait. This is the first tiramisu I ever have with the lady fingers are still crunchy. Cream is super smooth!
Very yummy! We had a starter and the first course and couldn’t finish! I would recommend sharing the starter and then see what else you’d like. We had bruschetta and the antipasto misto (both excellent) and then we had the four cheese ravioli and the Mom’s lasagna which were really good but SO MUCH FOOD. Vickie our server was excellent and the wine was great. Really regret not having room for desert. Make a reservation!
Found this restaurant traveling back from Nappa. It's a great little restaurant that has recently open in Calistoga. Small restaurant maybe 10-12 tables busy during dinner hours. The kitchen is wide open to the left as you walk in. You can smell the wonderful aroma of Italian dishes being made. We arrived with no reservations waited maybe 15 minutes for a table. We were served complimentary wine while we waited, kodos to that! Service was good given how busy it was. Dishes were tasty loved the bruschetta, great wines to compliment the dinners. We had lasagna and the veal special both were delicious.
Overall, an excellent meal. Yummy food with good portions, flawless service, comfortable atmosphere. Arancini - could feel individual pieces of risotto, lightly fried, balanced and light tomato sauce, no skimp on basil leaves. I wouldn't be mad if there was some more cheese. Would order again. Bruschetta - fresh with plenty of basil. Bread was dense without being mushy, but I felt it was slightly too dense. Seafood linguine - perfectly cooked seafood, al dente pasta, balanced sauce. Would order again. Lamb shank osso bucco - perfectly cooked lamb, creamy risotto, some freshness from the asparagus. Delicious. The fat drippings from the lamb made the risotto borderline unctuous, so I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Others' photos of lamb shank sauce seem less fatty than the one I ate. Wines by the glass were good. No official cocktail menu yet, but our server did mention they had cocktails. I'm curious to try but wanted wine today. Service was attentive, accommodating, and smooth. I'd love to go back.
Excellent date night! The owner Ali was super friendly and kept checking in on us. The food was fantastic with vegan options as well. Erick was able to recommend my food options and find the perfect cocktail for me! From the appetizer to the steak. Everything was amazing! We had the eggplant and calamari to start off and man ohh man! I never thought i would enjoy eggplant as much as I did! We also had the Tei color cheese tortellini and it was Japan's with so much flavor! For the main course we had steak and mom's lasagna! My husband and I shared each others plate because both were so good! Steak was so juicy and the lasagna was so flavor! There is a whole bar in the back so we had a drinks and they have the game on so we got to see our warriors play as well! Thank you Ali and Erick for making our experience memorable!
It's rare in Calistoga to find a dining establishment with both excellent food AND a full liquor license. Fortunately, Bricco Osteria is one such place! As the name promises, Bricco offers a breadth of excellent Italian dishes that could hold their own in both Rome's old town and the discerning neighborhood Osteria. And since they've shelled out for the rare full liquor license, Bricco is going to make damn sure you know it: the cocktails are more than worth the $$$. A must visit!
I cannot express how incredible of an experience this was! My husband and I just arrived after a long travel day and wanted to get something to go. The owner was so welcoming and acknowledged that we were exhausted from our flight and brought us a glass of a Champagne to Enjoy while we waited for our food. You can really tell that he loves what he does and takes pride in his restaurant. And of course the food was incredible. I had the chicken parmesan and I can tell I’ll be craving it after we leave! Overall I highly recommend!
You walk into Bricco Osteria and you feel transported to Italy. From the outside, you are serenaded with Italian music. As you walk inside, the chefs greet you with enthusiasm and warmth. Ali was a fantastic server. I loved the white linen on the tables with Italian music playing inside. I had a delicious fish pasta dish (mussels, clams, shrimp) in a light tomato sauce. A must go while visiting Calistoga.
What a superior experience. I love great food, but will always prefer good service and very good food to be more fun and enjoyable. This place was outstanding. Perfect Calamari, and a brown butter fish that was excellent. Staff absolutely were 100%. We had reservations but didn't want to sit by the door. Moved to the bar while a table was becoming available. Service was incredible and it was amazing. Such delicious food. Highly, highly recommend.
An authentic local Italian gem! We were impressed by the excellent food and a chef who went above and beyond to create a special homemade vegan dish for our aunt. The service was top-notch, with our server being incredibly helpful. We can't wait to return on our next trip to Calistoga.
This was such a homey and authentic Italian place. My boyfriend and I loved it! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! Definitely coming back!
Mama Mia! Service and culinary experience were at the top level - bricco! This was an awesome experience that took my husband and me to Italy and back. Lasagna to die for
We had the privilege to eat without reservations at Bricco Osteria, the food was delicious... We were offered choices in wine, options to taste before ordering... The owner Alex and our server Marco, were absolutely amazing, checked on our food, topped our water glasses ..made sure all our needs were met... We had an incredible night. I am visiting from Australia my cousin's from Texas and LA met here in Napa valley, had the bestest time tenks to this gorgeous restaurant. Thank you Alex for being such a great owner..
Came for my Moms Bachelorette weekend! Amazing food! Loved the chicken parmesan! Came with very good sauce! Thank you guys for the amazing experience! -Dakota
Food was great definitely need to make a reservation for the weekend as the place was packed. The wait staff was very friendly and made a great effort to accommodate us even with them at full capacity.
The food was absolutely amazing! It was authentic, had great portions sizes and you could tell there was a lot of care put into making the food. The service was great and the staff was very hospitable. We did not have reservations and they went out of their way to find us a table. The dessert was phenomenal as well. One of the best creme brulee we have ever had.
We had an excellent dinner on a sleepy evening in Calistoga. Marco took excellent care of us and made a great wine suggestion. A great spot for a relaxing dinner.
wow… was in Calistoga and walking my dog down Lincoln ave i see them preparing for dinner service. Reminded me of my time Italy … ended up waiting an hour before they open. Was extremely worth it. Brought me right smack into heart if Italy. well thought of menu that will delight even the most finicky. They will make you feel like familia. thank you all for tremendous delicious meal. bravo to this everyone making a meal here special.
The BEST restaurant in Calistoga. It is a must visit for us every time in Calistoga. Food is incredible and service friendly fantastic! And the drinks ... Get the Blood Orange Margarita. No problem being LGBT here.
Came here for dinner with colleagues on a business trip. The staff made it such a fun, relaxed, enjoyable, and DELICIOUS experience! The meals and wines were amazing. Everyone was so happy and enjoyed themselves. 10/10 recommend and I want to return whenever I’m back in the area. Super authentic Italian food as well, FYI.
The man who helped us was amazing! We needed guidance. He suggested the butternut squash soup, calamari, and the brazino. So delicious. I can not believe how many times we've been to Calistoga and this was our first time! Can't wait to return!
We made a reservation the day after Thanksgiving. The food was authentic and delicious! The atmosphere made us feel like part of the community. We even had a chance to talk with the restaurant owner before we left — he was friendly and very personable. We were really grateful to have found this restaurant. *Side note:* We had Thanksgiving at Sam’s Club at Indian Springs Resort, and the experience was the complete opposite.
This was a luxury experience. The staff is so kind and welcoming! The owner offered to get us mocktails (served by Marco!) since some of us at the party couldn't drink. They were amazing! The entire menu is to die for, from appetizers to entrees to desserts. My family and I had the bruschetta special and beef carpaccio for appetizers; the saltimbocca, lasagna, and linguine for entrees; and the lava cake, gelato, and tiramisu for dessert. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area! Just be prepared to make a reservation due to how busy this place is! Also be prepared for the parking situation since this place is smack dab in the middle of downtown.
The food was So Delicious 🤤 We were so impressed with the food and service; We Brought Family back with us on a second night!! My Lasagna must have had 12-14 layers of freshly made pasta and meat sauces🤤 Call or Make a Reservation on line because there were many couples n groups turned away because it was so popular 💯👍🏽
A nice gem on the main road of Calistoga. Ali the owner was friendly and enthusiastic from checking in to saying goodbye. Came on a busy Friday evening. A big party at the back was celebrating birthday. So there was a bit of a delay even with reservation. However the food was so good it was worth the unexpected wait. We had time to observe the chefs at open kitchen serving mouth watering dishes. After we are seated dinner was quickly served. Started with a hearty broccolini soup, crispy calamari, eggplants and fresh salads. Seafood Linguine in a tasty tomato based sauce, textured Lasagna and pan-fried medium rare steak were all excellent. We were offered Prosecco while waiting at the bar and we ordered another round to pair with the delicious meal. Our server Jade made great food recommendations. She revealed that most dishes were made from scratch by their experienced chefs. After an hour of gastronomic experience we were full but not stuffed. We must come back and try their risotto and desserts next time. Hopefully sometime soon.
Luckily we were hungry when we walked in - the portions were huge. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. He recommended the bruschetta, which turned out crispy and delicious! It was a good dinner, with everything perfect. The food, the people and the vibes. Must visit while in Calistoga!
Bricco Osteria was an amazing experience! If you like Italian... this place is a MUST TRY in Calistoga! Everything we ordered was delicious: bruschetta, calamari, salad, penne vodka, linguine chitarra, and creme brûlée! Perfect after a day of wine tasting. Will be back soon :)
Quality Italian good, so delicious and decently priced. Drinks are good and we had a courteous waiter who was eager to make our dinner a memorable event.
Such a lovely place!!! We were so welcomed by Erich and the rest of the staff from the minute we eagerly peered in the window until we walked out the door. The food was absolutely delicious…the highlight for us was the Saffron Arancini with fresh Tomato Sauce. My husband said it took everything for him NOT to lick the plate. That sauce is SO good! We had Insalata, Orecchiette w Broccoli Rabe and Lasagna Bolognese! Everything was delicious..topped it off with house made Tiramisu to finish the night. The service from Erich was top notch. You can tell he truly cares and was working so hard to make everyone’s dinner a great experience. We will be back and we will recommend to anyone we know heading to Calistoga. A few pics (we forgot and starting eating first, oops!)
Wow, we love the food, the service and the experience. Everything was amazing! We felt so happy here. A place where people care about people. We can’t wait to come back again tomorrow and always. Thank you! 🙏 they made the most out of my birthday! Felt very welcomed and as if we have known each other! Amazing!
Delicious food, great wine and atmosphere. I was surprised to get a real authentic Italian food in Calistoga. I had a lamb shank and was absolutely delicious.
We were immediately greeted by the owner when we arrived and he was full of energy! Erick was able to wait on us and he was fun! You can tell he was passionate about the menu and was able to help recommend options for my wife since couldn’t make up her mind. For appetizers we had the eggplant and calamari to start. Calamari was good, the eggplant was amazing! It was light and just the right amount of cheese! Our main course was the mom’s lasagna and the prime rib. The lasagna was so flavorful and the sauce was nice and thick! They cooked our steak fantastically! Steak was so juicy and full of flavor! No complaints at all.
We had a fantastic dining experience at Bricco Osteria restaurant! We loved all four dishes we ordered. The Tiramisu and Lava Cake were also delicious—so yummy! Coupled with great service, our visit was truly delightful.
My friends and I visited this restaurant for the first time today. The employees at Indian Springs raved about it after we asked for recommendations - and now we know why! This restaurant EXCEEDED our expectations. The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We ordered the calamari, arancini, bruschetta, chicken parm, risotto, and penne a la vodka. ALL OF THEM WERE 10/10! And the tiramisu, to die for!! The service made the entire experience even more pleasant! The staff was SO friendly and attentive. They even organized a cute birthday celebration for our friend, without us asking! We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and definitely plan to go back soon.
We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. The food was excellent. The steak was prepared to perfection. They aced the creme burlee. We tried a wine that was really good, but the waiter forgot to tell us the name of it. We had appetizers as well, and they were pretty gold. Service was very attentive and efficient. The prices were as expected, however well worth the quality.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bricco Osteria. The service was absolutely second to none from start to finish, our waiter was so attentive. We chose to sit outside but after a short while felt a little cold so he went to a lot of effort to start the heater and carry it over to our table. All the food tasted amazing, we shared an antipasti platter to start and for mains I had the lasagne and my husband had lamb shank and the meat was so tender and fell off the bone. We shared a lovely bottle of red wine and really did have the most enjoyable evening. Highly recommend.

The service at Bricco is impeccable in addition to the great food. Marco was our waiter and he was thoughtful and attentive. They have a great wine list that the waiter knew how to navigate well (even recommending us a better bottle than we chose). We had the antipasto plate, risotto special, and lasagna. All were fabulous and great portions. Highly recommend!

Ok here's the deal, service need some improvement. Was here on a Saturday night and had a reservation and the service was not 100%. Was not seated right away and my wife's order was wrong. But food made up for the mistakes, everything that came out was delicious an fresh. Mom and pop shop in the middle colestoga, love these kind of places! Must come for authentic Italian eats.
Enjoyed our dinner here. Made a reservation for a party of 5, which included 4 adults and a baby/stroller. Attentive and friendly service. Charged $20 corkage fee. Most of the food was tasty. The soup was really good and the pasta was great. I’m giving it 4 because space was a little tight for us, the table was clearly for 4 people. Also, they warned us something was wrong in the kitchen so it would be smoky inside, and it was, not a big deal but worth calling out. Not sure if always the case. The bread service they charge for and needs to be improved.
Bricco's narrow dining room of snug tables and walls decorated with intentionally (?) off-kilter paintings of Italian scenes is inviting. Good selection of popular Italian dishes. Good service. Enjoyable experience.
We enjoyed our experience at this charming little restaurant. The Italian-inspired music and decor create a cozy ambiance, though the style has a unique Mexican twist, which adds an interesting cultural blend. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making for a welcoming atmosphere. The food was tasty overall—both the salad and dessert were satisfying, even if they didn't quite reach exceptional levels. Due to the small size of the space, it can get quite lively and noisy, making it less suitable for a romantic or relaxed evening. Nonetheless, it's a great spot for a casual meal with good service.

After being seated late (45 minutes after our reservation) the whole vibe in the restaurant was complete chaos. We never actually had anyone take our order we had to find someone to tell them what we wanted. And the food we got was probably the worst Italian food we have had. We all had separate dishes but somehow all looked the exact same. All was over coated with orange pasta sauce.. After we finally got seated and to make up for overbooking (we were not the only group who stood outside for 30-45 minutes past our reservation) they served us this dry bread with a couple olives in the middle. Not sure what that was suppose to be. Then we ordered wine which we had to ask multiple people for glasses for the bottle they left on the table. After we poured our own glasses since the staff was running around with juke boxes playing birthday music instead of serving us we started on the appetizer which was calamari. I am pretty sure this is what kept us up all night. Everyone once and while we would bite into something that did not taste like it should or was ready to be eaten. For my main I got chicken parm. The chicken was so tough I couldn’t cut through it. Almost certain it was frozen before it was heated up. This was soaked in a soup like orange pasta sauce with a side of large pasta noodles and a salad on top of the liquid soup sauce on the plate. The other two guest had two different pasta that again were in an orange pasta sauce. I would say by the time we sat down, waited to be served and finally got our food we could only muster a few bites even being as hungry as we were. Sadly this was a huge disappointment from start to finish.

Arrived a little before 6 p.m. and was told by staff to come back in 45 minutes—easy enough, since my hotel was close. When I returned as directed, the same person who asked me to wait now insisted there was absolutely no possibility of being seated, something I’ve never encountered anywhere else. To top it off, he added a sarcastic comment about dining outside in the cold, making the experience feel unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. It left me with a terrible first impression of dining in Calistoga—a disappointing introduction from someone who clearly didn’t care about helping guests.
