Absolutely loved it. I went here based on a recommendation from my sister. The staff were amazing. I started with a half dozen oysters. They were some of the best oysters I have ever had. Then I had the bluefish pate. It left me speechless. The rye bread that accompanied it was the perfect match. It would be a great brunch dish as well. The crab Cavatelli was a little rich for me, but the favors were wonderful. I would definitely order it again. You have to check this place out.

Oysters are really good and fresh. I had the steak and surf. The steak and the lobster tail are fantastic.

My absolute favorite spot for oysters! They always have 6 different oysters on the menu and they are all always excellent. A little pricey but worth it for the quality. Half off oysters ($1.63 each) from 5-6pm every day!

Tried a variety of dishes here and we enjoyed all of themA Not included in the photo but also enjoyed the Rambo rock punch (pretty strong) and beer/wine selections.

Celebrated my spouse's birthday here. It was our first time here. They were very accommodating. The food was great and the wine paired well.

Great oyster bar! We were looking for a spot to sample some local oysters and were not disappointed! The oysters were fresh and tasty, service was fast and the atmosphere was fitting. Half off oysters made for a cheap appetizer!

We greatly enjoyed both our recent dinners at Puritan Oyster Bar. We arrived in time to take advantage of the half price oysters served 5-6 and then stayed for dinner. The oysters were the best quality and served beautifully. In fact all the food is presented well. I loved the cod in lobster sauce and my son loved the yellow tail tacos. A special green crab appetizer was delicious and served creatively in a large shell. Our server/bartender Kyle clearly cares about making the experience enjoyable and memorable for all the guests. He noticed that I wasn’t drinking my cocktail and he asked me about my preferences and then created a drink for me that I loved!

Terrific oysters. And 1/2 price before 6:00 pm. But a wonderful seafood menu was well. Don't miss the carpaccio!

We popped in for our anniversary. Place was packed, but we found a place at the bar. Had the whipped goat cheese which was amazing, and had delicious crab pasta (forget the name) along with the pork chop. Nate and Drew were amazing and entertaining. Took great care of us, and actually made us want to stay longer. They were even sweet enough to bring us a congratulatory/complimentary lemon ice cream that their in house pastry chef makes just to make the evening extra special. Side note: fantastic background soundtrack

Run, don't walk, to have a delightful, innovative, and wholly unique meal. My favourite spot in the greater Boston area, not just because of the care that goes into every item on the menu, but the next level service to boot. Christine is an absolute gem of a human and exceptional bartender, so just hanging out with her and the other staff is a joy. Get the burnt butter scallop starter, you will not be disappointed!

Took the oyster shucking class they have and it was incredible. Plenty of appetizers prior and they were incredible. The oysters were fresh and the staff was attentive and made us feel like we were long time customers. Extremely excited to go back and try the rest of the menu. I would recommend their oyster shucking class to anyone for fun or a great date night.

Amazing oyster selection! Great variety from all over the Atlantic coast and wide differences in taste and texture. Also loved the smoked fish melt with French fries.

For as busy as they were the service was great. Loved the Swedish fish joke at the end, so cute. (You’ll only know what I mean if you go!) Great oysters and those hamachi tacos were deliciously spicy 🌶️

Visited the Oyster Bar on an extremely cold Friday night so it was not particularly busy. The cocktail/mocktail list is creative and unique. We sat at a high top and split oysters and shrimp cocktail. The green chili sauce that is served with the oysters is a must try. They had two specials that night, a chicken thigh and a short rib dish. We ordered both. They were presently beautifully and tasted delish. We will definitely be returning to try out more of the small plates menu.

Excellent service, delicious food and the happy hour deal for oysters is pretty good. The oysters are delicious, a lot better than Union Oyster House and some of the best in the area. The burger is also solid if you’re looking for a meatier dish. Great time whenever I come here.

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with big city cuisine! Our server was knowledgeable and super friendly as were all the staff. Food and drinks were delicious. Loved the two options for seating - the Oyster Bar and adjacent handsome restaurant.

This oyster bar is the cutest spot! The combination of the happy hour deals and the oyster selections each day can’t be beat. They also have a great selection of seasonal cocktails that are all unique and very tasty. I can’t imagine living in Inman Sq without discovering this spot.

Wide variety of oysters so you will find what you like. Come for the happy hour and get very reasonably priced oysters. The drinks are phenomenal and the waiters are very friendly. Strongly recommend!

Friendly staff, super fresh seafood/oysters and really delicious cocktails! Really fun to taste and compare the many varieties of oysters. Be sure to come on Monday for their “Martini Mondays.” $25 for 6 oysters, fries and a martini!

Love the warm lights and chill tunes. Great selection of oysters really let's you experience the differences. Cod cheek sider was lit. Tasty cocktails in cool glasses.

The oyster selection is great! I also had the crab risotto, which was delicious even though the garnish didn't suit my taste. I had a gin and blueberry cocktail from their menu which was wonderful and so cool to watch the bartender work from the low bar seating. Also El was my party's server and they had great energy-- really friendly and knowledgeable without being too stuffy, which in a place like this can be a fine line to walk. Will definitely be back soon!

Kyle, our server, was fantastic. We came in for oysters and ended up staying for tapas, drinks, and dessert because everything was just that good. The ceviche and the Black Forest cake were absolute standouts. You can tell everything is made in-house, the flavors are fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was consistently attentive without ever feeling intrusive. A wonderful experience all a low-key Saturday date night.

Great location with great staff. Their cocktails are so tasty and each dish was so special. We had their $75 course menu with à la carte shrimp toast and oysters. Would highly highly recommend their duck breast with fig puree and their green apple tart.

Came in for a cocktail and apps a few weeks back. It was very good with friendly service. It did get rather loud at times and it wasn’t above and beyond for the drink prices but the vibe was nice and the bartender woman was good.

Can’t beat their oyster prices in the Boston area, big, salty and fresh too! The burger and the crab salad were fantastic. The swordfish pastrami was weird. Big complaint is the cocktails are terrible. Worse than unoriginal, they actually taste bad. Either bland and way too sweet, or taste like straight liquor. Expected more for $17 each. Get oysters and have wine and it’s a great spot.

I went there last week and it was awful. Sometimes restaurants try too hard on style and lose sight of food and quality of care. I mean - how do you mess up a shrimp cocktail? Frozen cocktail sauce will do it. And it would have been helpful to know the fish tacos are ice cold and super meh. This place is a caricature of a hip oyster joint - all image - no substance. It’s stunningly bad.
