Very comfortable atmosphere and a great slice. There are multiple tv's which always have sporting events or sports commentary seeing as it is a sports bar. That being said it does get rather crowded during any playoffs or SU games. I often go there as I work in the area and have never been dissatisfied with any of the food offerings. Their pizza is thin crust New York style pizza served in large slices and most often I go there for the $6 for 2 slices and a fountain drink special.
It's a great bar to watch a game in. Lots of TVs that play every game. Beer choices are excellent, pizza and wings are delicious and bar tender are always good. It's my go to bar if I'm going out to watch an SU game or several NFL games all at once.
I am a parent that has always enjoyed taking my kids to the Wildcat and they love it there. I am also the President of a large, local youth sports program. The Wildcat has always welcomed our teams with open arms. They continuously support our programs and give back to the kids of our community often. There are not many places that welcome children to their establishment while giving them the freedom to be kids as long as they’re being respectful to the establishment and the patrons within it. Thank you Dan and Heather for everything you do for the youth of our community!!!
Very friendly workers... A good variety of items on the menu Hot sandwiches pizza wings and so much more... Food is good and very reasonably priced...
Great food. Kind service. Order at the counter, they bring your food to the table. Self-serve fountain drinks. Many screens with various sporting events on. Lots of WG (local school district) memorabilia. A little loud, but it is a sports bar. Sand volleyball and cornhole in summer. Kid friendly.
Our “Happy Hour Club” was welcomed with great hospitality and a wonderful staff! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Thank you, Dan (owner), for taking the time to stop by our tables to say thank you. Class act!
I had great time here. This is the second benefit I attended and they offered chicken wings and pizza. I went to thr bar to get drinks and the staff was very approachable. A patron was sitting and eating a chicken bacon ranch salad and it looked absolutely amazing, large portion for a great price. I hope to go back and visit for another meal soon.
Not many places have great pizza when it’s fresh along with it being reheated!!! These guys figured out how to do that! Pizza is great the day of and just as good the following days! Their Friday night specials are great!
We love the Wildcat! Their pizza and wings are some of our favorites. For this trip, we were there in the extra room for a wedding reception. The food was fantastic! We had pizza and wings of course, but a fresh salad, baked ziti, chicken parm and cookies. It was all delicious!
We love the Wildcat. It truly feels like a hometown pub. The kid friendly atmosphere plus all of the WG pride makes us feel welcome and we visit at least once a week. They're pizza is great and we take their dough home whenever we do pizza night ourselves. The beer selection is A+ too.
Great place to watch the game, eat and drink! Pizza is delicious, "wildcat" dressed wings are phenomenal and the staff is excellent and very community oriented. Volleyball leagues available, and live bands play frequently. We have a great time, everytime!
Fast friendly service. Ordered at the counter. Food was delivered quickly. Good NY style pizza.
My nickname is boomer The other night hanging with friends WE decided on pizza in Camillus area. That being said Nobody would take our calls.....Wildcat answered 3rd ring. None of us ever ate there before....What the hell lol Best Pizza We ever had in Years! Doc's and Twin trees just don't get it...Period! I will ALWAYS order there again! I was greeted with a Smile and a AWESOME Pie! Boomer We ordered Meatlovers! AWESOME!
I’m from Camillus, moved away to the West coast for about 12 years so I never had the chance to go to Wildcat before it opened but I just moved back! I was interested because my friends/boyfriend loved it, my mom had her going away party there a couple years prior before moving away and had an amazing time, I wanted to get wings one day and decided to try it, we got the wildcat wings which are definitely good BUT the boom boom wings are LEGIT!!! I usually eat like 2-4 wings, not being a fatty but I demolished all 10!! Amazing! We will definitely be back soon!
Huge sports bar and pizza joint. The menu is diverse with options for everyone. I love the balsalmic chicken salad, or even in the wrap form! The pizza is always good. It's in my top 5, maybe #2 just but just barely! There are games for the kids to okay, TVs and a large beer selection. If you go hungry or thirsty here it is your own fault. Order at the counter and they will deliver the food to the table but on expect more service then that, it is more a DIY location. Can get noisy if you are sensitive to that but good place for larger crowds or parties.
Family friendly atmosphere and the best pizza & wings in town.
Lunch was amazing So much food I couldn’t finish!!! Onion rings were wonderful Cheesesteak in a wrap was so good They hosted a law enforcement event for us following the events of the prior week. They couldn’t have been more kind and accommodating. Totally police supportive spot. Thank you
I really couldn’t make this story up if I tried. I just went on a first/blind date to Wildcat. Pro tip: Wildcat is legit the best spot for a first date. It’s super chill, none of the pressures of a sit down place or obnoxious environment of some bars. Anyways, we go to order our food. we can order separate which is great. Don’t have to worry about that awkward moment when the bill comes. So I order my meal. I ask for a “chef salad”. Once the salad arrived it appears to not be the salad “I ordered”. Well turns out I ordered the wrong thing! My mistake, I wanted the julienne salad! Not chef salad. I think the young girl running the food didn’t really know what to do. So she says she will ask her manager. I follow her up to the counter and see the exchange- obviously don’t know what was said but the convo seemed like the manager was cool, which anyone who’s worked in the industry knows asking a kitchen manager to remake something can be a terrifying thing lol. The worker comes back looking relieved and said the manager said yes I could just remake it. I thought awesome, this place is great. Well next my date gets his food. Welp turns out he ALSO ordered the wrong thing. (Couldn’t make this up!) They probably thought we were running some kind of scam but low and behold they just remade that too without hassle or looking annoyed. I was just really impressed that whole thing didn’t turn into a disaster. Food was great too , get the pizza. I don’t know if I’ll see the guy again but I’ll sure be coming back to the wildcat again!!!!
We flew in from out of town, and were recommended this place for authentic NY pizza- it was fantastic, along with the wings we ordered as well. The blueberry beer was amazing! Enjoyed the local vibes and atmosphere.
Had a slice of mushroom pizza and the garlic parm fries. Both were very tasty. The girl at the counter was very nice!
Friendly, accommodating staff went above and beyond when our family visited the restaurant. Kids loved their pizza! Best part for me: the gluten free pizza! It’s tough the find a delicious gluten free pizza, and this one was on point! Thanks for taking care of our family with delicious meals :)
We had an excellent experience after we stopped in from the Taste of Syracuse. The staff was top notch and everything was delicious. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area. Next time I’m in Syracuse I will definitely be stopping by again!
Amazing drinks and food. Always clean. Fairly priced! Had a mix up about my tab and the owner immediately tended to it. Will keep coming back. One of the best places to hangout, drink and eat, after a long day!
I had their chicken wings. They were meaty and the Buffalo sauce was excellent. Only problem I received 9 wings out of 10. But to be fair the missing wing was a flat. Next time I will count my wings. Since counting to 10 is easy. Happy Sarcasm.
If your looking for a humble place to eat and one that is family friendly this is it. Not to mention lots of community involvement and perfect for catering. The owner is a great guy who is brings awesome food and atmosphere in a crazy world. Did i mention the wings somebody get this place on youtube and tictok.
I haven’t been to a bar since the original shut down. Was craving a shot of patron. Me and my friends each got a slice of pizza in order to go to the bar. We had a great time and Delaney the bartender was extremely nice and accommodating. I have been meaning to go here for a couple of years and I am glad we decided to go here it was a great time. Everyone was following the social distance an mask guidelines and it was extremely clean. I highly recommend going here! Thanks !!
Great stuff all around. Best pizza in town, great wings, fun to watch hockey there. Staff is very pleasant.
Amazing. Had it for the first time tonight. Wasn’t in the mood for pizza but my BF was so I got the chicken rigges and he got pizza and wings. Side salad is huge for 3 bucks. This will be our new pizza place. Prices are fantastic portions are great, delivery driver was polite and fast.
Love it. Great food. Always a good time for all ages to come and watch their favorite team(s) play. Great for events and families.
Very generous portions. I always have some left over for the next day. Roast beef Panni was done on a huge roll that was crispy on the outside and warm and tender in the middle. Roast beef was perfect with just a bit of pink. If you love onions ask for extra. Same for the creamy horsey sauce
Wildcat offers a HUGE space for gathering. They have a big attendance for trivia. Plenty of drinks on tap and a decent amount of food available.
A great family friendly place. They do a good job for games and put out a good pizza. I wish they would change their bleu cheese dressing though. Great big bar with ample seating. Attentive bartenders and fantastic drink specials.
We had Wildcat cater our daughter's sweet 16 party. I highly recommend hiring them for your next party. The food as always was amazing, the catering contact Andrea was so helpful and quick to reply to ANY and ALL questions I had (I had a lot lol). The guy who delivered the food, set everything up perfectly and was very friendly. Overall great experience!
I just put a big order in for pick up. 2 of the 7 things weren't right so I called back and the man that answered was awesome. Took care of it no issue and was so nice. Literally best service I've ever gotten. So not only is their food delicious but it's clearly ran with customer satisfaction in mind.
I visited here Sun. with my son and his family. I live out of state, and am sorry i can't stop in more frequently!! We were there for a Bingo/pizza fundraiser. The pizza was hot and yummy and salad was fresh and delicious. And they kept our buffet full for the entire time. Kudos to them for partnering for such a good cause, and my compliments on your delicious food!
Excellent place to eat and more importantly great customer service. Just grabbed takeout and a manager helped me get my order right after I ordered wrong. John is as most helpful and this place is highly recommended. Great pizza and wings!
I love going to the Wildcat for Trade Night's. They are so welcoming and gracious, the atmosphere is amazing. I look forward to each time it is here. I hope The Wildcat and Gideon's Gallery keep this going for a very long time.
After a great time at the Taste of Syracuse, we wanted a little late night eat and Wildcat hit the spot! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The vibes were great and the spinach and feta pizza was a MUST! If I am ever back in the area, I will absolutely stop here again!
We had great pizza tonight with great service!
This was my first time eating at The Wildcat. On Saturday, April 6th, my children & mother took me here for my upcoming birthday! I loved The Wildcat. They have a so much seating space! We also did not have to wait long for our dinner to come out! I will definitely eat here again. They had delicious chicken wraps! Very fun place for families.
The Wildcat Sports Pub was delicious! They have all your favorites in one place. It was the perfect place to check out after the Taste of Syracuse! Service was great and had amazing pub fare. If you love beer, wings, & so much more then you’ll enjoy The Wildcat!
We hosted a party here with around 35 people. Andrea was super easy to work with and guests were raving about how good the food was- don't forget to try their blue cheese (which I think they make in house) 🤌🏼 The crowd favorites were the chicken riggie and bianco pizzas. An awesome 10/10 experience!
One of our favorite camillus pizza joints and a good place to have a deck and watch the games
Great place, bar area was super busy. Large side room was nice for additional seating. We tried pizza and sandwiches.... both were outstanding!
We had my husbands 36th birthday here on 11/8. We rented out a portion of the party room and got it catered. We had about 25-30 people show up. Food was excellent and fresh, and loved that we had a little window to order drinks at. Andrea was very apologetic that some people took one of our tables but we didn’t really care, we had more than enough. My dad has celiac and we were able to get him a GF personal pizza and some owings, he didn’t end up getting sick from cross contamination so we were thankful for that! It’s always a risk when we eat somewhere new. We will be back for regular dinners, we had never been before!
One of the best places to go to watch a game. Food is always amazing and even when busy they get it out to you pretty quickly and all the staff are wonderful
So I had won a certificate for a free pizza, so I went to redeem. I added toppings and a couple garlic knots so I had a small balance to pay, Turns out Venmo was down as I was going to pay, and I couldn’t transfer my money elsewhere. The cashier behind the counter didn’t think twice about paying for my order so I could have my food! Such a small gesture, but so meaningful I wish I would’ve caught her name!
Fun atmosphere. Love playing trivia on Tuesday nights. The staff is very friendly 😊
Amazing food, especially the pizza, and a good selection of beer. There is plenty of space and TVs all around. It really is an enjoyable time.
One of my favorite places to grab a drink or some grub. Awesome service from bartenders, cooks, and the ones who bring your food. They're quick!
Great service Dan Thome the owner and his staff are always respectful and will always do what they can to help you out!! Food and drinks are always great and reasonably priced can't go wrong with anything on there menu always one of my go to places!!
So glad the kitchen is open late. We ordered pizza and wings for take out. Being a first time customer, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. The pepperoni pizza is so good but the wings were amazing! Ordered medium chargrilled, hands down the best! Service on the phone was top notch. Looking forward to ordering from again!
A solid choice for fast casual dining. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to the table. Loved my pizza! And the Stromboli was good as well. Kid friendly, loads of tvs for any sports you want to watch and a full bar. Come as you are and stay as long as you'd like.
Visiting from out of town, very skeptical of a NYC pie in Syracuse, but was pleasantly surprised! Thin crispy crust, foldable slices, great sauce to cheese ratio! Also ordered wings, mozzarella sticks, and fries all came to the table right out of the fryer! The atmosphere was family-friendly. All employees seemed genuinely happy and friendly. We will be back next time we're out that way! Thanks Wildcat!
Yesterday my new husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at Reed Webster park. One of the highlights was the delicious food including both appetizers and entrees from The Wildcat. Working with Angela and Zack made the process super easy. The food was delivered at the time promised and everything was delicious. Our attendees enjoyed every bite and it was the perfect touch to our perfect day!
It’s funny that After 4 years living here, this is my first visit and won’t be my last. I went out on trivia night, it was a blast! The beer selection is a great variety of high quality beers. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. And the fries are some sort of monster curly cue fries that I have never seen. The sandwich was great with smothered cheese and a sauce with just enough bite. I was told that the philly cheese steak is good and my buddy got a slice of pizza that looked good. I will order that next time.
The pizza is pretty good and the wings are great. Service is always friendly enough and it's a very large restaurant with lots of a seating and a huge bar. Seems like most nights they have live music going which makes it tough to hangout with friends and catch up but that's not every night. Good place to stop for a bite and very casual.
Very good burgers, and awesome salt & pepper wings. Nice beer selection too. Only takeaway, is the heavy "kitchen" smell that leaves with you on your clothing. Not a deal breaker, I'd go back.
UPDATE: thanks for cleaning the kitchen and sticking by your word in the response, I appreciate it. My final thoughts are this; this restaurant has been steadily finding their footing since mid 2010's and it is a good pub for the community. The pizza is decent especially with such stiff competition in the area. people definitely tend to dine-in and stay for the unapologetic school spirit vibe, sports broadcasts with extroverted immersion, and the consistent events they host. I would 100% rather eat here compared to Buffalo Wild Wings. As a customer (and wg alumni) who only walks in and out I am completely unbothered by most of this. the tv menus flipping by so quickly does make it difficult to find out what you want to buy without opening up an online menu on my phone overall: it's a decent sports bar that prioritizes ny style pizza with good lunch deals Original Review: dust clumped everywhere above the kitchen on the rafters and hvac, probably hasn't been cleaned in a year or longer 🤮
Food is good. Drinks can be pricey. The place is almost always crowded. Charging $4.50 for a domestic beer seems a bit much given these circumstances, but it is a nice place.
Large bar and spacious eating area. You order your food at the counter and then they give you a number and bring you the food. We had the pizza and the tots which were good. Trivia on Tuesdays so it can get packed with over 20 teams.
I had to change my review as the last one was from a year ago and I was pretty sour. The food is great the staff and the owner are very pleasant. The only thing is the tap beer isn't very cold. If they correct that I'd have to say 5 star for sure. Still warm beer 😢
Great place to watch a football game, have fun and eat oun food.
A really solid place for locals and families to watch sports, eat thin crust pizza, and have a drink. Great and unique french fries too. Very family friendly, but good for the bar and a casual date too.
The char grilled wings are out of this world. The pizza was average. Place was super busy, could not find a seat. Big party scheduled and the owner I assume checked there size and found he could give us a table before they arrived! Came back and checked on us. We will go back. We need one in liverpoll. Thoughts of expanding?
Visited for first time over the weekend. It was great overall. Living close to here is a winner.
Sports bar with decent pub fare and pizza. Have been here for lunch a few times, and on the weekend. Can get pretty busy at times.
I really wish we had a place like this closer to home. But we found ourselves in Camillus and dropped in. Not only is this a good place for pizza, but it has a great community vibe to it. Really seems like a place to go for more than just pizza and drinks. There was a community jazz band playing while we were there, and I get the impression there's always something going on. It feels like one of the rare "third places" that we need more of. And, the pizza was pretty good too! We got slices: Pepperoni & Meatball, and Chicken Bacon Ranch. The CBR easily won, but it was also straight out of the oven. The P&M, while not as fresh, was still good. I'll need to visit a few more times and try more slides before I can say it's one of the greatest in the area, but I'll do so gladly as there is so much more going for this place than just the pizza.
The pizza and wings here are excellent! Now, for the NOT so great part...Took my son here on a Friday night. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and 2 fountain drinks, which are self-serve. Sat down with our drinks and waited...and WAITED. Granted, it was a busy night, but there were a lot of employees "milling around" in the kitchen. It had a very confused look. Several customers came in and picked up to-go orders. Around the 30 minute mark, a family of four came in, ordered and sat at an adjacent table. After about an hour, an employee came out with our pizza. Not 30 seconds later, the family of four got their pizza and wings. I was a little pissed The pizza tasted good, but was slightly overcooked. The crust was dark brown to black in spots, and had an almost burnt taste. Perhaps they need to replace their pizza pans, which are warped and scratched. Don't know why else the crust would bake so unevenly.
3/31/23 -After 2 years of 5 Star service I changed the rating to 3 stars. The food is amazing, but the service from the delivery drivers needs improvement. I ordered food twice this week.... 1st - Showing up 45 mins late (It took an hour and 30 mins for a delivery, I was told 45 mins on the phone), the driver didn't bring change for a $100 when the bill was $58 (after we even told the person who took the order to bring change), the driver tried keeping the food becaucse he couldn't find $30 for change. I tipped $12 2) I ordered chicken tenders dinner and a chicken sandwich... The driver forgot to bring sauces. I'm tired of calling back at this point. Oh well, I'll spend money somewhere else for a while. To the owner.... I expect expected better....
Not really a fan of the process of ordering and getting food there. Everyone got their food except my husband who didn't get his until finally he went up and asked 20 mins later and they said it was almost done. We were pretty much done eating before he got his food. The games there though are good for the kiddos entertainment and the space is nice.
Over hyped, under whelmed, pricey for what you get. By far not the worst experience, however it was a let down for how much they are hyped up. You definitely can find better wings and homemade sauces elsewhere.
The waitress was nice and pleasant enough, but tried to push me aside to wait on the people behind us when our transaction was not complete yet. I have not been impressed with the food yet.....the Southwest egg rolls were lacking in substance. Pretty small and not very good . the balsamic salad had mandarin oranges were very mushy and not fresh. Couldnt eat And I do not like the balsamic dressing. It all it's thick and lacks flavor. The broccoli and garlic pizza was ok..... Return the next week because someone I work with wanted to go there. The chicken riggy's come with two garlic knots, which are very good, It's more of a marinara sauce in the chicken was not very good.
We are fans of Trappers pizza, but since they are on the east side of Syracuse and we live in the west side, we don't get there very often. So, we were happy to learn in a recent review published by our local newspaper that The Wildcat had the same recipes used by Trappers. We visited the restaurant at our first opportunity and ordered a large pizza with four toppings. The first bites were very reminiscent of Trapper's pizza. However, we soon noticed that the bottom crust was not only limp but soggy. This may have been a problem due to the toppings we ordered. I'm sure the roasted red peppers and mushrooms released liquid as they cooked and this may have overloaded the crust. The sauce, cheese, two vegetables, and pepperoni were delicious, but we found the sausage strange tasting and used a fork to remove it from our pizza. Overall, it was a very tasty pizza and very filling. We took half of it home. However, the experience was not as enjoyable as it might have been because of the noise level. I've been assured that this was an exception to the normal, and we will return. The staff were great.
Pizza and wings are exceptional. The bartender's social life took precedence over making drinks, but at least the beers were good! - I need to change my review to 2 stars. Honestly it would be 1 star if the food wasn't so good. The bartenders continue to be rude and uninterested in serving anyone they don't know by name. After being blatantly ignored and passed over, I finally got the bartender's attention and asked for help, I got a rude denial. I have never felt so disrespected by a bartender. There's absolutely no way I'll ever be back.
The first time I was there I had a good time. Food was great. The owner was very nice. Came to me to introduce himself. Bartenders were pretty cool too. Been there a few times but the last time I was there I noticed they put a few flags up over the bar which make me uncomfortable... Made me feel like I was in a whites only bar. Definitely wouldn't go back there again.
Second time trying this place, and only because they gave us a gift card because the previous experience was so bad. Pizza and wings the first time...words cannot even express how bad it was. Second time chicken Parm sandwich and meatball sandwich pmud an order if loaded fries and onion rings. Sandwiches are tiny, fries and a joke. Dry fries with some bacon crumbles with jar cheese on the side.
Our food was wrong twice and by the third time we were not hungry anymore for our wings . Then I notice the next day that they double charged me . Went to restaurant and manager refused to give me my money back . And we all got sick of the wings that were not wrong ! Great job Karen and wildcats
We ordered a large bbq chicken pizza and loaded French fries. Last time we ordered from here we got chicken bacon ranch and it was drier than cardboard, so we called and the manager was nice enough to give us a gift card after apologizing and telling us that the staff forgot to put base sauce on it. This time we figured we would get something different so we got the bbq chicken. Well again, what a disappointing meal not worth the $37. The pizza crust is again drier than cardboard and the “Loaded” fries for $10 were loaded with French fries and bacon bits with a side of cheese sauce. Not worth the money or the name “Loaded.” Last time I didn’t leave a review because the manager apologized and gave us our money back, this time I’m writing a review to warn the good folks of Syracuse to not go and spend your money there. Food is beyond par and there are way better pizza places available.
Crazy crazy expensive $51 for 20 wings and large pizza 🫨🫨🫨 tried once and will move on to more affordable pizza and wings. Dave Portnoy where you at
Honestly the food is good, but the bartender was rude. If you aren’t a regular you do not get one of the reserved seats at the bar. There is a mission statement banner hanging above the main entrance door, sounds great, but not true. Never good when you’re told “you can go somewhere else”.
Awesome staff, great place with lots of options to eat. However, they have an open kitchen concept and the food safety/sanitation is appalling. I have worked line cook jobs in nice kitchens and have been serve safe certified so I understand food safety and sanitation in its fullest. While eating I watched multiple employees handle food in the kitchen. This is what I observed (all done without washing hands after). Picking teeth and nose with bare hands and then touching the line, utensils and ready to eat food. Rubbing hands in beard and then grabbing food to cook utensils etc. spitting a stream of spit into the garbage next to the line and then picking nose and then making food etc. Touching a raw burger and then grabbing buns and other ready to eat food and utensils. other things as well in the same category. This is so nasty and I will never eat here again.
Ordered take out pizza here on several occasions. The pizza is good. However, the problem I have is if you come in to pick up your pizza and there is a line of people ordering food the worker at the counter advises that you have to get in the back of the line with the people ordering and paying for food, to pick up your pizza. This happened to me on Dec 6th around 5:15 pm and the wait was a good 10-15 minutes. Why not have an order line and a pick up line? You have two registers there? The waits make me consider not taking out from here in the future. There are other places nearby with good pizza where they don’t make you wait 15 minutes when you walk into their place to pick up a pizza.
