Great hidden gem. Pet friendly, brought my cat there on a leash and was totally welcomed. Good beer.
They have one of the best beers I have every taste. Great plave to hang out with friend and enjoy great selection and variety of beers
Great beers. Came by on a Sunday afternoon and had a relaxed time in the laid back tasting room. I tried the Saison Bernice and a 4 grain straight saison (don't remember the name). Very good, lived up to the great things I have read and heard about these guys. Yum. I grabbed bottles to go of their Winter Garde and There She Gose.
I visited Sante Adairius Rustic Ales while I was vacationing in the Bay Area. WOW, these guys are awesome! This brewery is a hidden gem located in Capitola, CA and rivals many great beers by some of the industries best companies. It's probable that you haven't heard of them because Sante Adarius doesn't distribute, they're focusing their efforts on perfecting their brewing and providing happiness to anyone who walks in their door. Sporting a 7bbl System, Sante Adairius has 6+ taps and a couple bottle selections during your visit. I was lucky to try Vanilla Joe (Porter w/ coffee beans from VERVE) on draft and Nonna's #5 from the bottle. Two solid beers.... I wish I could only bring it all home with me. :)
Best brewery in the state and one of the top 5 best in the US. You can't go wrong at the brewery but they do specialize particularly in sour Saisons.
Great beer They had a pilsner that was only 3 percent So happy to find it amongst the stronger dark ones Very tasty and friendly tender too
Great beer and really cute atmosphere. We loved the outdoor seating especially with kids!
Great variety of beers, all were excellent (saison, ipa, porter). Weird parking situation but there is also some street parking. Cool ambiance and chill staff!
Low key brewery with a small, but high quality selection of beers on tap; bottled beers are available to go or for on-site consumption. Children and dogs are welcome.
When these guys opened they upped the beer game in Santa Cruz overnight. Wow! The beer here is great and the lines on weekends show it. Get here early and enjoy!
There is never a dull moment or beer at this brewery. From saison's to mosaics and IPA'S in between. This is one brewery to come and visit when ever in the Santa Cruz coast!
Great ambiance, people are so friendly will definitely be returning. Great selection of beers, my favorite was the Capitola Bright.
Amazing beer. It's in my top 3 in the area with Alvarado Street and Moonraker
Best beers and best workers!! Everything is fantastic
This is my favorite brewery by far. They make some of the best sours you will ever try; The IPAs are amazing as well. I've never had a beer here I didn't like, which is also what everyone else says that I've brought here. Check out their Facebook page for a daily list of what's on tap and if you're in luck there will to-go bottles listed there as well. Just know that if you come on a weekend it will be busy here because everyone wants them some SARA.
This place is truly the best of the best when it comes to a great brewery experience. Excellent beer in multiple styles, friendly knowledgable staff. I always meet some old friends and make some new. Everyone there will always make you feel like you've been there many times before, even if it's your first outing.......because we know you'll be back.
Not only is this brewery consistently rated one of the finest in the world, it's also the best in the county of Santa Cruz, California. Five enthusiastic thumbs up. You like IPA? You like Saison? You like Beer? This is your place. Highest quality. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Clean off the beaten path location. BYOFood & BYODog Keep your kids on a leash. Tip your pourers. Drink copiously. Sante!
Tucked away in an industrial park seems like a poor choice of location for this micro brewery and tasting room. But after tasting their craft brews you will understand why this place is busy. The beer is awesome, the people are fantastic, I just wish they had their outdoor area still available. Don't hesitate to visit "SARA" you will be glad you did.
A small brewery with a friendly atmosphere and a great place to hang out with your friends. The beer they are pushing is phenomenal. There's really no reason why you shouldn't be there right now unless they're closed or you live too far away.
they keep expanding their tasting room hours, thank goodness (now includes thursdays). great saisons. great sour barrel aging. they just keep getting it right. I love that I live right down the road from them and wish them the very best in the coming months and years. I highly recommend coming prepared to buy a couple bottles, as you will want to take some home with you.
If you like beer. This is the place in Capitola for beer have a wide variety of beer from dipas to lagers sours to porters. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Cool people cool place if your into beer don't miss it. Monterey bay is a great place for craft brew and Sante Adairius is a don,t miss place. Cozy atmosphere and dog friendly. No regular kooks it's a place you'll remember and that is what socializing is about cheers.
Basically perfectionists of several styles. If you like beer of any kind, you will find incredible options here. They don't mimic the trends but somehow excel in most new beer styles. Not as experimental as some places but pretty much masters of beer making.
This place is home to some of the best saisons you'll find. Some terrific fruity sours, and really solid IPAs will also be commonly found here. Often collaborating with other local businesses in special release beers, Sante is loved by the local beer scene.
This place is awesome! Little off the beaten path. but well worth the drive, when u meet Adair & Tim(brewer). They welcome you with great hospitality! The beer is Amazing! I love the "831 hoppy IPA 7.2%", personally my favorite. This place is for beer lovers
My absolute favorite beer. Love stopping by for a tasty beverage whenever we are in the area, but now we can usually find it at Trail Dust BBQ in Morgan Hill! Get to enjoy it a little more often now! The brewery is very nice and they have a nice selection of beer.
Great place with excellent beer. New and interesting beers are always on tap and the Brewers/owners are always ready to please, open, and great to talk to. No food on site due to licensing but it's fine to bring your own. Settle in and enjoy!
Santee Adairius Rustic Ales: A Post-Hike Haven with Stellar Saisons After countless recommendations, we finally made it to Santee Adairius Rustic Ales on a perfect California day. Our adventure started with some scenic hiking and soaking up the sun at Capitola Beach. Feeling refreshed and ready for a reward, we ventured into this beloved brewery. We weren't disappointed. Santee Adairius boasts a fantastic selection of craft beers, with a focus on rustic ales. We kicked things off with the refreshing "By the Sea" pilsner, a perfect choice after a day outdoors. The "Capitola Bright" light beer was another crowd-pleaser. For those seeking something more unique, the "Little Quibble" saison offered a delightful twist. We also enjoyed the "Borrowed Knowledge," a Belgian-style Dubbel that lived up to its name. The "A Small Rest" offered a unique flavor profile, while the "So Happily" hazy IPA was a juicy and satisfying choice. But the true champion of the day was the "Sun Ship" saison with watermelon. This innovative brew perfectly balanced the crispness of the saison with the sweetness of watermelon, making it a standout on the menu.We bought home Saison Bernice and Proper Discourse bottles and were amazing Santee Adairius isn't just about the beer, though. The spacious outdoor seating allows you to relax and soak up the California sunshine. Plus, they welcome outside food, so you can grab some grub from your favorite local spot and enjoy it alongside your brew. While they don't have a permanent food menu, they often have food trucks parked outside, offering a variety of options. Whether you're a seasoned saison lover or simply appreciate a well-crafted beer, Santee Adairius Rustic Ales is a must-visit. With its relaxed atmosphere, delicious brews, and outdoor seating, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. So grab your friends, lace up your hiking boots, and get ready for a memorable experience!
Very good beer, nice staff, nice patio Despite being close to the highway, it’s very quiet on the patio (which has maybe ten tables). A choice of about ten beers on tap. We tried Pilsner, IPA and Porter. All good. Dogs welcome.
Great out of the way local brewery. One of the biggest award winners on Untappd.
They change their menu all the time. Good trick to keep me coming. They partner with food vendors on the weekends. It gets busy!
Words alone can't express the experience of drinking amazing beers with amazing people at both Sante Adairius locations. Started coming here during year 1, then moved to San Diego 2 years ago & so glad to visit again after Firestone Walker Invitational beerfest. The 2nd location called Portal is very nice. Highly recommend a visit to either location. Dog & kid friendly with a great beer community. Thx Tim, Adair, Kyrsten & Jay
Clock and compass was an amazing beer, the staff were very welcoming as if you were family very nice setup that they have definitely recommend if you're in the area or even if you arent drive down the beer is well worth it
They have many different beers to choose from, I have yet to try all of them but I am working on it. I have to date had maybe a dozen different beers they brew. I rate them at the top, great people and fantastic beer.
A bunch of jet lagged Canadians walk into a bar…Dani was great, the beers we just as good and the ‘za was very very good!
Favorite beer place in Santa Cruz County as great variety from saisons and farmhouse ales, pilsners and lagers to IPAs.
Excellent beer, nice outdoor space. If you find yourself awkwardly at the end of a road you've found the right place!

Great beer and friendly servers. Outdoor or indoor seating.
Very tasty beer dog-friendly and just a cool place to sip a beer and hang out. Still excellent, with nice patio area in the parking lot still, post-covid. Pop-up trucks Friday through Sunday this summer (2024). Love their selection of beers.
The beer here….best in the area hands down and for exceptional service Bryce will take care of you. A pleasure and always happy to come back for a little bit!
Love the pop up kitchens! The soup was awesome on Wednesday night!!

Very good selection of beers and sours! Id give em a five if it wasn't such an unpleasant experience with the ginger bartender. Long story short he has a bug up his butt at all times so as long as you can get over that and his hipster look you'll have a great experience.
A friendly and busy brewery and tap room. It features a great selection of beers (IPA to belgian) and a self service open seating restaurant. It is dog friendly and has games for kids and adults alike. The food is provided by Bookie's, located within the brewery. Bowser serves "not so authentic Detroit style pizza".
Great beer. Docking a star cause service felt a bit pretentious to be honest. I’ve had comparable level beer without that vibe and better atmosphere. All styles were good though and I enjoyed myself
Beers were amazing. We tried 5 different saisons, which were all great. The inside tasting room is relaxed. They don’t do tasting flights or food. There isn’t any outdoor seating. The area isn’t downtown but in more of an industrial area.
Good beer. Good location. Dog friendly as well. I had a couple of their IPAs, which were reasonably tasty but not great. I do recommend a visit if you are in Capitola.

I love almost everything about this place. The beer was really stinking good--if beer taste were all that matters, I'd give this place five stars. Every beer I tasted was great. I also really like the atmosphere, I like that this is a place where almost everyone who comes in is a beer lover, and the staff are really friendly. I just wish there were more to do around it! When you taste a lot of really good beer, you want to walk around a bit after, but there's not really anywhere to go nearby. Other than that, this place is fantastic. It totally lives up to its reputation for great beer

This was my second time trying to get into this place. The first time was a new release day and the line was 30+ people long, so I passed. This place has a very cool vibe, but it's waaaay too small for its following. I picked a beer that you really can't mess up and it was mediocre at best. Given the crowd - inside on a beautiful day - I assume a picked the wrong beer. Not a great experience for me; hopefully yours will be better!
I love beer, and the great microbreweries in the Santa Cruz area. I've been here many times, and like most of their beers I've tried. Yesterday I stopped by for some beer to go, and bought a couple of bottles to bring home - Capitola Sunset and Bright Sea Blonde. The next day I got home and tried them - and they tasted very sour and strong in a weird way. I could not drink them. So I went back and asked if they would give me something else (they were $20 for each!). The lady I talked to said these beers are a special type that maybe I'm not used to, but she would exchange them for a couple of 4 packs (same price). We picked out the Bed Level and Capitola Bright. My wife was with me so we bought 4 half-pours to try some of their newer brews, which we really liked. When we checked out, I gave her a 25% tip. She gave me one 4-pack, and explained that they decided to give me one 4-pack instead of 2 because there was nothing wrong with the beer. As a repeat customer I was upset that they didn't take care of me. I spent $40, yes it was my mistake, but I bought more from them that day, and had been there many times before. I left feeling like they changed their story and felt slighted as a loyal customer. I won't be coming back, or recommending my friends to go there.
