Went 12/9/25 for lunch. Our server was Jaime and he was very good. Had guacamole and the mucho grande combo. Lots of food. I ordered the large sangria and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh and tasted so yummy. Busy at lunch. We loved the guacamole and enjoyed the carna asada especially. I would visit here again

My first time here ! This restaurant is huge really busy. The servers are nice and friendly. I ordered steak fajitas were good except it was loaded with a lot of vegetables. The Tampiquena steak wasn't the best some how dry and needs more flavor. I went to use the restroom and it was dirty and missing toilet paper and seat covers. I approached the hostess and brought it to her attention and she became so defensive I told her how expensive was the food and unattended were the restroom and she replied that Us the customers were messy not keeping up the restroom clean. This restaurant looks nice

On a Friday night with a group of 14 the service was absolutely amazing. Was checked in on quite often and gave plenty of chips and salsa! Food was actually delicious carnitas burrito was juicy and had a nice sear. Portions were big but not too big. Price to quality was very respectable. Overall I loved it and am excited to go back.

Friendly and very efficient service .Large restaurant with indoor or outdoor patio seating . We had a large group and the service was Very Good . Musician s playing Nice songs ,Fun and Happy Atmosphere. The Carne Asada and Shrimp plate was very good. The asada was tender and had good flavor, Shrimp was also good , could have used a couple of more shrimp. Black beans ,Rice , guacamole and choice of tortillas also came with plate . Very generous portions. The chile relleno plate was also very Good. We had a party of 15 and everyone was Very Satisfied with their Food Selections and Service .

I hadn't been here in YEARS and it was just as amazing as ever. Amazing service, fast turnaround, and a beautiful atmosphere. I got the Especial de Flautas and subbed a side salad instead of beans, and even the salad dressing was SO good. It was fun to visit and I'll definitely be back!

First time at Casa De Bandini and it was delicious. I am a big fan of Mexican food and from the start this place exceeded my expectations. Walking up to place, you see bright and colorful decor and all inside the restaurant. Chips were light and crispy and warm! Salsa was on point, you must try the habanero salsa. Our server was Jamie and he was very nice and attended to us efficiently. I ordered the carne asada fajitas and the meat was perfectly seasoned on top a bed of onions, mushrooms and bell peppers. The flour tortillas appeared/tasted to be handmade (can’t confirm). Everything was great. A new spot on my list. I’ll be back.

My experience at Casa Bandini is never bad, tonight it was so good, the service was very good and the burrito and black beans were wonderful and very tasty. The strawberry margarita was just right and Roy was a very pleasant server and prompt.

I'll start my review with the stunning decor! From the ginormous Saint Francis statue greeting you outside, to the glossy terracotta colored tile floors and rustic paintings throughout, simply eye catching. The menu is overwhelming because they offer everything you can think of! We started off with the ceviche. Quite refreshing. The chile Verde plate was full of flavor and the homemade tortillas take everything to the next level!

My husband and I have been coming here for years. It's the best Mexican food in San Diego where I've had almost everything on the menu: each dish has an amazing flavor! Their margaritas are excellent and if opting for a large size, enormous enough to share for two. While very refreshing, they are watered down so much that alcohol is almost undetectable and that for $15. The waiter/waitress always starts with complimentary crunchy chips and salsa. Great selection of meals with ample portions that can also be shared if you don't eat too much. The atmosphere is fantastic no matter if you sit inside or outside. We prefer outside seating near the soothing sounds of the water fountain where it's most relaxing to enjoy the meal and each other's company. Great service, bilingual staff, plenty of parking but they don't take reservations. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

This place met my Mexican husband’s requirements for a “good” Mexican restaurant but neither of us would give it 5 stars. There is something “off” about this place but it is in that part of Carlsbad where things exist in a “bubble.” (I say this with much affection…Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, which is not too far away, and its surrounding area is one of my favorite places ever). The portions are generous, the flavor is there for most everything (I especially liked a green chile tamale that I stole a bite of off my hubby’s plate)…the margaritas are exactly what you would expect from this type of place (good!). It’s a fun, colorful family friendly restaurant but it also feels like it’s trying too hard at moments. I ordered something that was on a side menu…it was on the “lighter” side: mango, avocado, grilled chicken…not at all a classic dish, it was satisfying though because I love anything mango or with avocado. Their desserts are great….the fried ice cream, churros, flan, tres leches, and mango mousse cake were all delicious. My dad always asks the musicians to play something when they come by. It’s not the best Mexican food for sure, but if you don’t eat a lot of homemade “authentic” Mexican food and you are not stuck in THAT bubble, you’ll probably love this place (my brother always gets the San German which looks amazing, carved out pineapple with shrimp and rice).

An absolutely lovely restaurant with great service and some of the worst “Mexican” food I’ve had in my life. If you think table pepper is “hot”, and just want something to throw down the gullet before putting multiple margaritas on top: this might be the spot for you! Again, lovely service and atmosphere, but just be warned their food is about as authentically Mexican as this midwesterner.

There were 9 in our party. We didn't enjoy the food or service. Waiter never came back. Our table wasn't level and I ordered a Ceviche. It is served in a large stem glass and I had to hold on to it. Listen, we were very excited to eat here based on the reviews. Unfortunately, we were not happy with the food. Our main gripe was the fact that the pineapple shrimp plate that is pictured, claims to be an award winning dish. I took the first bite of a shrimp and it tasted almost like dish soap and then the rest of the shrimp has no flavor. Literally just tasted like the plainest shrimp ever. The sauce did not help at all. It was missing so much flavor. The taquitos I got were fine. It's honestly so overpriced. And very underwhelming. San Diego usually does not disappoint with it's food. This was unfortunately a miss. The waiters were nice. The place itself is nice. The women's bathroom was kinda gross not gonna lie. I told my boyfriend it's best we return the plate and order him something different but he is kind and wanted to give it a chance. We were so excited to eat here and we felt we were let down. Bummer.
