First time here and have to say, I'm sorry I waited so long. Our server, Dom, was very knowledgeable. Since it WAS our first time I ask what he would order. And his recommendation was on point. I had the B&C with marinated beef and a sunny side up egg as extra toppings. My wife had the Yakisobo with marinated beef. Portions are amazing (both of us will have another meal from it.) We got to sit right by the window overlooking the kitchen so we could see the cooks building the dishes on the griddle. All of the staff was amazing. We arrived just after 1pm on Saturday and had about a 10 minute wait because they were completely packed. I can't imagine how full they are for dinner and I don't know if they take reservations. But as we mostly only eat out for lunch, I'm not too worried about that. 🤣 We will most certainly be returning.

Came with friends to try this place for the first time and we had a blast! Parking was pretty alright and the atmosphere is very welcoming. For appetizers we had ordered karaage, takoyaki ( original and mentaiko). All were scrumptious while we waited for our okonomiyaki orders. The takoyaki mentaiko was pretty new experience and enjoyed the textures of eveything. I had gotten the corn cheese mayo okonomiyaki with soft noodles and fried chicken. The portion sizes are enormous, so for sure good for sharing family style if you want to try the various menu items. We had also ordered GOAM!, and Broc'n Shrimp. Overall, the okonomiyakis were hot, flavour packed and mouthwatering after every bite. The aroma played a huge part in inhaling majority of the plate and the fried chicken was nicely moist and crunchy all at once! Would reccomend coming here for some night bites with friends over a beer or soda 👍🏼

We got the B&C with beef substitution and the Chinchikurinyaki, both crispy, just as the waiter recommended. It did not disappoint and was very delicious. We were lucky to sit next to the window where we can watch them cook the Okonomiyaki. Such an interesting process to watch it cooked and assembled. Food and service were phenomenal. It was very busy when we came here for lunch but definitely worth the wait for the food.

First time dining there last night. I didn't even know there is such a okonomiyaki place in Carrollton. We loved the okonomiyaki when we went to Osaka a few years ago. This is Hiroshima style we never had before. We ordered the Karasge and Fried Japanese Oyster as appetizers. The Fried Oyster was really delicious. Even my wife who usually does not like oyster said it was good. For entrees, we had the Loaded Kaisen, Chinchikurinyaki, Spicy GOAM. All very delicious. The seafood in the Loaded Kaisen was very fresh. My favorite is the Spicy GOAM. The jalapenos add some kick to it. They are also not as heavy as I expected. My son asked me if I prefer Osaka or Hiroshima style. That is a very difficult choice since they are both good in their own way 👍. Service was also great. Will definitely go there again to try other dishes. Highly recommended.

I grew up eating okonomiyaki and this place does not disappoint!! I personally like a little more cabbage, but the flavor is spot on. So glad they opened in DFW—can’t wait to come back and try more okonomiyaki!

BEST Karaage IN DFW! This was my first time here and it served up mad flavor. We tried a bit of everything. The B&C + Squid & Shrimp - crispy style - the basil mayo really brought this one together add the dried flakes for spice. Spicy GOAM! + Beef - original (softer noods) great flavor from the thick okonomiyaki sauce. The beef added was sooo tender and flavorful (almost like a galbi style marinade) Karaage - omg. Mad tender and so juicy. YUZU SALT was a game changer. I wish it was a TINY crispier but maybe bc I let it sit and didn’t eat it right away. Must get this here! Tan tan - tasty nice peanuty flavorful profile with bouncy noodles. Kimchi Fries - why is this even so good? Very surprised with how well the meat and sauces worked together. Honestly no bad bites here just a food coma!

Hiroshima cuisine in Carrollton, Texas! We returned from Hiroshima, Japan in October. One of our best meals there was Okonomiyaki. We found a local restaurant featuring many different versions of this post WW2 comfort food. Highly recommended for those who want an authentic taste of Japan.

We were originally going to order an okonomiyaki as a takeaway due to time constraints, but THANK YOU for persuading us to stay and eat them-- crispy, hot, and magnificent--in house. Love it when restaurants have such pride in their food they insist we try them in their best condition! Having moved a few years ago from Bangkok, where there's a huge Japanese expat community and loads of okanamiyaki res, this is just what ive been craving. The grilled beef tongue, and the mentaiko udon (so, so soft) were awesome too!

First time visiting Chinchikurin, and I got to say it was a good choice. We got there and were immediately seated. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the B&C, curry and the spicy GOAM. The only dish that was slightly disappointing was the curry; it just wasn't for me, but the other two were really good.!

I stopped by on a whim because my kids had a birthday party at a crafting place in the same strip mall. I now wish I lived closer because I would eat here everyday. I ordered the spicy edamame and the tan tan men, and I basically licked the bowl clean. I’ll be dreaming about this place. 10/5! Recommend!

Have been a couple times! Oddly enough my favorite dishes are the side dishes like the mocha skewers wrapped in pork belly, the chicken karaage with the green onion sauce, and the mentaiko takoyaki! Dom is the best server! He's great to talk to and it really feels like his recommendations are genuine!

My favorite is the Takoyaki 🐙 The entree you can definitely share with another person. I’ve never had Okonomiyaki until now and it’s one of my new favorites! I can’t wait to come back here! Very friendly staff that helped us out 🫶🏻 Parking was a bit rough 🥹

Great food and service with Jason! The udon was the highlight of the meal, would highly recommend if you’re looking for some creamy and delectable noodles! AND must get the white peach soda made in-house!!

I'm so glad I discovered this place—the Hiroshima Okonomiyaki is something special and apparently the only place to get it in DFW! The Chinchikurinyaki was my personal favorite: a crunchy, flavorful, and truly delicious dish. The garlic shrimp was equally impressive, with a robust flavor that complemented the rice perfectly. The staff is friendly, the space is clean, and the open atmosphere makes it a great choice for any occasion.

First time trying Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and I really liked it! Super savory with a little sweetness. Everything blended so well together. Noodles, cabbage, egg, meat… all the good stuff in one bite. Service was great too! Even though it was busy, they still checked on us multiple times. I will definitely come back for more next time!

SHOUT OUT TO JUN SHIN and the entire crew tonight!!! Y'all were all amazing, the food was literally the best and most authentic experience we've had in... actually maybe ever??! BUT I do have to give special props to Jun Shin (AKA Jason) again. He really went above and beyond and personalized this experience for us, recommending his favorite combinations and ultimately making sure we had the BEST first impression is this amazing place. He made sure we knew the rich history behind the name, and how all the chefs are professionally trained by Masters from Japan. This was such an incredible experience, we want to come back and try every single thing on the menu!!! Oh and the bathrooms were immaculate. Huge green flag.

We ordered the Spicy GOAM, The B & C, karaage (fried chicken), and the Kurobuta sausage. The Spicy GOAM had a nice kick, the B & C was cheesy and tasty, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. The sausage was more mild not spicy. Also, the food wasn’t as hot as I expected when it came out. Still, overall the flavors were good and it’s a fun spot to try in Carrollton.

Great concept and it’s awesome that we are the first state to Get this after California. The karage was really nice. The food was yum but could use a little more seasoning. Glad we tried! The tan tan mien was better than expected.

If you go by yourself or with one friend, I highly suggest you sit in front of the grill. You can see them make it, which was cool. The server was nice and gave us some recommendations. I ordered the original and cheese one. I like the original more because you can taste the ground beef. The pork in the cheese one was hardly there. I couldn’t taste it. This is just not my type of food. It was too saucey. Also, it cost like $20 per plate. It’s very pricey.

The okonomiyaki was delicious. Of course, it's a dish you enjoy for its sauce. I don't think I'll order the cold ramen next time. The staff was friendly. The open kitchen makes it fun to watch the food being prepared if you sit near it. I am going to try other dishes next time.

Great food, just like in Japan! Everything we ordered was delicious—especially the okonomiyaki and curry. The flavors reminded me of meals I had in Japan. I also appreciated the bag hooks under the table—nice touch! Only downside was that it was a bit hard to get the server’s attention when we were ready to pay. Otherwise, would definitely come back!

Apparently there's a speech you get before you order to let you know how things are done/can be done. We disnt get that until after we order some appetizers and a new waiter cam along. Regardless of what you order you can swap out the protein. The Japanese Pancakes can be ordered crispy or soft. The crispy is only on the top. The Cow Tongue was more chewy than I expected. The Chicken Karage was perfect. Overall the food was okay. My friend treated me to dinner. While I was in the bathroom he paid. As I walked out of the restroom I was pressed about why he didn't leave a tip. Caught me off guard & I didnt like it. However, i do understand they want to make improvements on customer service but I enjoyed the service from the 2nd waiter vs the 1st.

Definitely a unique dining experience, but mostly a 'been there, done that' kind of place. The service was decent, but the taste was just okay—nothing spectacular. You are definitely paying for the labor rather than the portion sizes. For our group of 11, we ordered 11 entrees and 4 appetizers, and the bill was over $250 (averaging $23 per person). Given the average taste and high price for the portions, I most likely won't be back.

This would have been a 5 star, except for their wait list sign up procedure. We arrived around 1pm and the restaurant was 3/4 full (5 tables were open). We patiently waited to be seated, a couple arrived after us, a waiter asked them was the table for two and then sat them. We were then told we needed to sign up for the wait list on the tablet outside, so we put our name down in the tablet, it gave us a wait time of 13 to 15 minutes, so we went across the parking lot to kill some time. Only to miss a text that was sent two minutes after signing up we received a text that our table was ready. As we ordered our meal, ate and chatted after our meal, we noticed three groups of people walk in, greeted, asked how many in their group and seated without ever having to sign up in the tablet. This concept of trying to create a feeling of high demand, by making customers wait when the restaurant is not completely full just ends in a poor customer experience. Especially, if youre not consistent with making everyone sign up. This was our first time here and I was super excited to try the food. We ordered the takoyaki original, the Hiroshima and the beef curry. The food was tasty, but not so good that I would return again to deal with that waitlist/ no waitlist nonsense.
