Loving it. Fresh salads, allowed to have it my way, my fish was cooked to perfection. Even my Miso soup tastes great. My food was still warm when I arrived home 6 miles away. I will be back very soon. I really enjoyed my meal.

I've been always a fan of SanSai, food is great, fresh. Martin and his team do a great job upholding SanSai standards. I used to frequent the one in Hawthorne, so this Carson location is really good. Yakisoba is one of my favorite dishes.

Pictures are my order, Tempura Plate (Shrimp and Veggies) with white rice, Sumi and Oriental salad sides. The white rice was dreamy it was so well prepared. The layout is a little strange, I'd have done it a bit different, enter from the patio or far left door, (no reflection on the food or service). Sriracha and soy sauce of course; sambal oelek is awesome to see. Orchids on the tables, too. I'm VERY happy that they don't seem to use Styrofoam as much as some other restaurants, it's the only thing I feel guilty about when I go! Five star, solid!

I ordered the wrong roll. I was surprised when I bit into it. And it had cream cheese inside. I literally ate 1 roll and gave the rest away. The Sumi salad was good as always.. What happened to the softshell crab rolls? That was my reason for going. I've missed them. And living in Lancaster is hard finding exactly what I like. I also didn't like the fact they were playing hood music and ratchet songs with older adults present. Tho I like listening to it. It was embarrassing having to see ppl/ families sitting eating and their ears burning because of the vulgar music.

The tempura was very good. The California roll should be renamed the Mayonnaise roll because that is all I could taste- where's the imitation crab meat? The portions were generous. The 2 salads I got were good. The service was excellent.

Japanese style fast food. They offer a simple menu that tastes good. Their salads are notably delicious...four kinds to choose from. I go here if I'm feeling for standard good Japanese fast food...such as sushi, tempura, teriyaki salmon, or miso soup.

This is a takeout place mostly though there are a few tables. The sushi is pretty big, rice and fish. The rice was well prepared. The place isn't the most authentic Japanese, more like a fusion American/Japanese but decent. I thought the prices were a bit high.

Lots of food but a bit pricey for kind of Japanese fast food. Price should be a few dollars cheaper. Tempura plate was ok but need a variety of vegetables not just zucchini. Tempura oil might need to be changed out too. Tempura sauce needs a bit more flavor tastes nothing like real tempura sauce.

Food is great here. They have a ton of healthy options and it is really well portioned. The owner of this franchise is super nice and really takes care of her location. Unfortunately some employees are terrible. Caty took care of us today and she was extremely rude. Our order was ready, and she couldn't care less about handing it to us. When we asked her for it kindly, she requested we show her the receipt... She had taken our order just a few minutes ago! Very rude employee that only hurts a good business like this one. There is plenty of parking around, restroom and outdoor seating. All in all a good restaurant except for a few employees.

On June 25, 2025, my colleague/friend brought me here for a birthday lunch. I like trying new places so, I was looking forward to it. I did not care for the crunch scallop roll because between the cream cheese and the mayo, all I tasted was cream cheese/mayo. It was a bit much and overpowered any other tastes/flavors present. I also ordered a salmon plate. The salmon was alright buy definitely not the best that I have tasted. It came rice and a choice of two sides; a choice of three salads, and soup. I chose miso soup and the cucumber and seaweed salad. I cannot say anything about the other salads because I did not try them but, I was not fond of the oil/dressing that was used with the cucumber and seaweed salad. I had to make myself tolerate it but, if my food is too oily or greasy, I cannot eat it. The oil/dressing used made the salad super oily and it soon got into the rice and salmon. It was a struggle because it was nearly too overwhelming for me but, I made myself eat it. The place was alright but, it definitely is not high on my list for repeat visits.

I used to love this place, but the food was awful today. I was so disappointed, and it's very pricey. I ordered shrimp tempura rolls, and it had the wrong ingredients. The beef and chicken plate taste old, and rice was crunchy. I ordered to go, so I wasn't going to drive back and return. Called on phone, and they made no apologies. I won't be back

So disappointed with the service I received today. I patronize these restaurant quite often, and have always been treated kindly. Went today ( Sunday), and the cashier was nice as usual. A man who called himself the assistant manager called my number and I went up to get my food. I ordered a steak combo plate with California rolls and asked for extra Teriyaki on the side for my Sushi Rolls at the time I ordered. I asked the man for the extra sauce and he told me I had to pay a quarter. I got the quarter and have it to him and told him that it would have been nice to pay all at once I was never told it was extra when I ordered it. I was putting the sauce in my bag and noticed they gave me chicken instead of steak. I informed the same rude man that I ordered steak not chicken. No apology or anything from him, all he said was that it would be an additional $1.50. I was hit but paid for their mistake and told him that he lost a good customer and I would not be back. I asked if he was the manager he was a Latino man around 30 or so. The man said he was the assistant manager and that the manager wasn’t in today. I asked for my receipt and left. I’ve been in customer service of some type for my entire working career and this made me feel horrible. He never once apologized for the error, and EVEN CHARGED ME DOE THEIR MISTAKE. I will NEVER go to this restaurant again. Very disappointing. Seems that during times like these people would appreciate the business, guess not!

There were two couples eating when we got there, and it was quite empty. That should have set a warning. The other establishments had quite a few people. The food I ordered was not that good. The salads did not have much taste (oriental salad and thai salad). The chicken was dry. My friend had the steak and shrimp. The shrimp was okay but the steak was also dry. I suggest going somewhere else and getting better food. I was rather disappointed, should have gone for pizza instead.

My family really like the food here. It’s just the customer service that’s so bad. This is the 3rd time that Katy (black hair in a bun) was there. The first and second time she was the cashier and she is so short with her responses to my questions tried to get me to hurry up with my ordering. The first 2 times I brushed it off thinking that she’s probably tired (tho that’s not an excuse). Tonight I went to the store again and Ashley was at the cashier and she so patiently helped me with my orders as I was ordering for a big group. While waiting for my orders, I observed Katy there laughing with co-workers and seems to be in a good mood. She was actually the one who put my orders in a bag. Then she called my number and as I was picking up the bag, I showed her my receipt so it won’t look like I’m grabbing something not mine. She just looked at me blankly and said a flat “ok”. Then she and another co-worker looked at each other and smirked. I don’t think she is in the right business to work at. I’m not one to complain because I don’t want to put anybody in trouble especially when it comes to a job. Maybe she needs inservice of some sort for her to have a better understanding of customer service. This place was NASTY!!! I ordered the steak/chicken combo plate with 2 salads, my girlfriend ordered the shrimp crunch roll and vegetable yakisoba. Everything we ordered was pretty terrible. The steak was burnt and AWFUL, the salads were soggy, the crunch roll was literally wet (like it had zero crunch) and had maybe a shrimp and a half inside (I'm not exaggerating). The yakisoba was "edible" along with the chicken, but overall was an extreme waste of money. The staff were friendly but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. Save your money, go to a restaurant with better/fresher/more tasteful food.

We visited today and waited close to an hour for our food to be served. To make things worse all of the food we ordered came to our table cold and dry . We were the only people in the business , how is it possible to take that long to serve food . Please do not waste your time and come here . Food is overpriced and cold , your better off eating at Tokyo grill on Avalon instead of eating here.

Utter garbage. The ingredients do not taste fresh. My sushi rolls all fell apart and it's hot and damp in there like they are trying to save money on electricity. Plus there we're flies. Overpriced too.

This place used to be good. I was just there and ordered the tempura and California roll with the Oriental Salad. When I received it, I mentioned that the tempura was less than usual. The assistant manager (Reynaldo) said it was the same size as before. It only had 3 shrimp which I believe was 4 before. They were soggy. The California lacked the avocado. Just a smudge and some didn't have any. The salad was lacking the mandarin oranges and wonton. For $20+ this is the worse I've seen. Will never be back and will share with friends of this disgusting place that has gone wrong!

I drove from Orange county to eat at this place. I arrived tonight at 704pm and they were closed doors locked would. It open waving me away. Should be open till 730pm! Unreal! Horrible!

I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a dynamite roll something like that... The spicy tuna was looking really gross not fresh I didn't eat it. And the other roll that I got was also not that fresh... But it was better than the spicy tuna. I'm not sure how you can mess up spicy tuna roll. And yes, it is too expensive for food that's already prepped and not freshly made. I don't know if they make rolls and then they give them out for days.. But that's how my food was. A waste of 30 something dollars. Don't order sushi and maybe you'll be fine but I didn't try the other items. I won't be ever coming back.
