Great place! Breakfast tacos were delicious 😋 Will definitely add this to my routine when coming to Concan.
Great service and delicious food! Very small restaurant but it was awesome 👏
Loves the friendly atmosphere and great customer service. Food was great tortillas the teal deal home made.. (Walmart associate )
The BEST! They've been around forever, used to be at 90 & 410. Awesome homemade tortillas...everything is DEELISH! I come to Castroville just for them now.
Food is still excellent. The staff remembers us from San Antonio and makes you feel so welcome and happy to see us. 10 stars from us.
Found this little gym by mistake but the place was amazing! The service and the people that work there was so good. Speedy service and amazing food!!!! Highly recommend trying this place.
The restaurant is small, but the food and service are outstanding. Their carne guisada is the best I have had.
This time the food was not very good
Friendly and welcoming service..Waitress Patty makes you feel like family.. Food was delicious and plentiful!!
Very good food, wonderful waitress, and just a friendly place. When ordering plate you get alot of food.
They have the best food! And every person we've met there has been amazing!
Great food and great service. They were treating everyone like family here. I found out later from the locals that this a favored place.
The service was great, the food was excellent the atmosphere, well you couldn't ask for a better place to be. I will recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great Mexican food.
Friendly staff and very informative about menu and availability of food selection. "Small hole in the wall" restaurant that needs recognition. Thumbs up Castroville!
The best Carne Guisada I've ever had in my 38 years of eating Mexican food. Tortillas are also homemade and delicious.
The food and the service are always great.
Food was amazing! Service was amazing! Staff was genuinely sweet and attentive to our needs! .... And dang it he sang along with the George Straight playing on the radio!!!! 🤤
First time. Great food. Friendly service. Had tacos and menudo! Will return!
One of the best authentic Mexican food ever. The chef-made tortilla was amazing. I live in San Antonio but will be back.
This is a great little Cafe to stop in for breakfast or lunch. Not alot of seating, but excellent food and service at a low price.
They were very nice and the food was good. I will come back.
very well tasty, great ppl , the small places are the best ones.. thanks
I was very impressed with the food. So delicious and fresh. I will definitely go back!
Prefer this place over any big fancy schmancy "Mexican" restaurant ANY day!! The food is amazing just like we grew up with and the several times we've been here the staff is always so welcoming as well, like you're their own family!!...love this place and we'll definitely be regulars from here on!!
I Love Andrea's it makes me feel like I am in the comfort Of My Grandmother's Home and to Top it Off The Smell of A Mexican Kitchen & The Food Is Amazing!!!❤ Most Of All The Staff Makes you feel at Home💖🙏
This place was amazing! Great lunch specials, great food and excellent service. We will definitely be back!
A 5am fill up across the street lead me here. While I was filling up with gas during our family road trip the aroma of tortillas, bacon, and beans filled the morning air. My 2 & 9 year old daughters agreed that "Something smells good". I looked around saw the Andrea's Mexican Restaurant sign with the telephone number and called in a breakfast taco order of bean and cheese, bacon & egg, and potato & egg, Absolute best tacos we've eaten in a very long time, homemade tortillas a plus. Everyone was satisfied and the morning grumpiness had subsided....
We went on a Saturday morning, my children and I, server was working alone, great and fast service. The food was good and service was awesome. Small dining area but not bad at all.
We're so glad to see our friends doing well now that the quarantine is a little less strict. The food here is the best in town with tortillas made fresh when you order your food. Not enough good things to say about Andreas!!
I eat here at least 2 times a week. The food is always delicious, the owner is awesome and the service is excellent. The food is the perfect mix of texmex and the barbacoa is AMAZING. I judge every Mexican restaurant on puffy tacos, tortillas, and barbacoa. I love Andrea's!!!
Best Tacos and Mexican food in the area! Great value. Fast, excellent service from the staff. Delicious soups, platters, tortillas, and large menu for a small, cute, clean, homey mom & pop hole in the wall!
If there were 10 stars that would be my pick! We were coming thru town back to Htown from Concan and took a chance. EXCELLENT food, extensive menu. Super friendly family run business. Very small, don't be intimidated by the small area and historic look of the tiny little gem. It's perfect. Will definitely visit ever time I get a chance.
+(*) Great Customer Service +(**) BEST BEST BEST !!!!! $0.99 Bean Cheese Tacos and the $0.75 add on Delicious Bacon , beans have this delicious bacon flavor I rate this taco hands DOWN 10 out 10 +(*) I actually LOVE there Homemade Tortillas there little flat but they are good tasty get that nice chew Homemade tortilla I rate tortillas 10 out 10 +(*) $0.99 Bacon Egg for $0.99 was GREAT FOR THE PRICE ! but for like a plate the eggs Could use a little more flavor Needed maybe dach milk and butter or maybe little bacon fat to make them more tasty and fluffy . I still rate 8 out 10 . -(*) $0.99. Potatoe ranchero taco I rate 5 out 10 The ranchero was not red ranchero it was more like a chicken gravy Carne Asada gravy NOT bad but definitely not what I ordered or what I was expecting.
We drove down from San Antonio after church. Wanted to check out local Mexican food restaurants. This is Really Delicious food dont let the little restaurant fool you! Small local restaurant but very very delicious home cooked food like my grandma used to make! 5 stars 🌟
cozy, and friendly place to grab a quick bite. I recommend this place to everyone
This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food was outstanding, the service was great, the people were friendly Give it a try you won't regret it.
Been coming here since I was a little boy when they were still over on hwy 90 and 410. It’s one of the few restaurants I still go to that’s just as good as it was 15 years ago.
Pretty good food for a hole in the wall. With the pandemic, I can see the price change to stay in business. Will make a visit to castroville to eat there again.
Yummy breakfast and fantastic service. It's a quaint small restaurant with a good menu. I've been back many times. Oh! They have a pretty decent cup of coffee!
Love this place, food is yummy, my o ly compliant are the tortillas bit the food is awesome.
The food is great. I've only been to the restaurant once and I had a wonderful experience.
I've been coming here for about a month and haven't had one bad experience from the food itself to the SUPER friendly service (and in the AM too, I am NOT a morning person so it's nice when others are). I get bean and cheese tacos, carne guisada with cheese, and barbacoa and potato and egg with bacon. Each time has been consistent and flavorful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stop at Andrea’s, best bean, bacon & cheese tacos I’ve ever had. Excellent homemade tortillas and great coffee too! Our server Patty (the only server, small place) is very friendly and kind, we will definitely be back!
Went to Andreas for the first time today and I think it will become our new breakfast addiction. The pricing is amazing for the amount of food you get. The food is delicious and the owner was so kind and welcoming. I definitely recommend you stop by this little gem.
I'm town visiting family and went for a quick hike with the baby bro. Were we're starving afterwards and saw this place so stopped by! Definitely coming back again!
This quaint looking place has some amazing food. The tortillas were fresh and chewy, and the food came out hot. Lots of flavor, and really nice staff. I’d recommend you try this place out for some great Mexican food!
Great little restaurant. I've been driving by for years and am very glad I made time to stop. Tortillas were perfect, staff was great, best beans I've had in awhile, and great price.
Came to Castroville for a wedding and decided to visit this place. I cannot tell you how welcomed we felt as we had our breakfast. The small talks from the owners, and the patrons were just as nice. The food was just perfect and the coffee (of course) was delicious!! The price was just perfect!! Will I come back? HELLAYEAH I will!! Andrea’s Mexican Restaurant, thank you for your hospitality and great food! 🙌🏼🤗
Good food , awesome prices
If you're headed towards the frio river stop and have breakfast at this restaurant. The lady was such a sweetheart. The food was delicious!! I recommend the chilaquiles. Everyone was served quickly and we loved this place. Thank you for your hospitality ♥️
Came out for breakfast tacos and they had run out of carne guisada which was rather disappointing. I ordered a small menudo with a bean with cheese and bacon and was absolutely amazed. The menudo was very delicious along with their handmade flour tortilla. The bean and cheese with bacon Taco was also very good. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure the carne guisada is excellent as well. It's a small place but well worth it. I'm not sure if they offer chips and salsa while you wait and would definitely recommend that if they don't. Definitely coming here again.
Great little hole in the wall place. It’s small but the food was solid and you can’t beat the under $10 lunch specials.
Service was excellent, food had great taste. Did not wait long for food. Tried the Carne Guisada but all the food looked great! Can’t wait to return.
Fantastic food and service! Enchiladas verde were perfect.
Food was great. I got a barbacoa torta and was super good, and wife had migas plate with homemade tortillas. Service was outstanding and I highly recommend it. Coming back for sure!
Wow this place was super delicious! It’s actually my first time leaving a review at a restaurant, but the food was so good that I just had to. I’m really impressed. If you’re looking for a homemade, abuelita-style meal this is the place. Highly recommend!
I don't know if it bothers you when you go out and spend money to enjoy a good dinner, but I prefer not to be starred at while trying to eat cold food. The waitress could use some better customer service.
Stop by for some breakfast on our way home.. Great customer service..good food, enjoyed the stop.. Definitely would visit again.
Authentic as they come! It's like you are instantly transported back to your abuelita's house to eat her delicious food she made fresh just for you. As soon as we walked in, the aroma of enticing coffee filled the place. It's a family restaurant, which certainly makes you feel comfortable and important. The menudo sells out fast, so make sure you wake up extra early to get your order! p✅️😎
OMG this place is so awesome whenever I’m in the area I stop by for lunch they have the best food around, talk about ‘abuelitas cooking’ 🤤 small place but such great atmosphere + the family are all great polite people! Did I mention: they have the absolute BEST tortillas ever nombre if you haven’t been here please do so immediately after reading this review!!!
Cool little hole in the wall spot in Castroville, TX. We stopped here for breakfast and left full and satisfied. ✅ great customer service ✅ endless coffee ✅ awesome green sauce ✅ breakfast/lunch/dinner menu ✅ reasonably priced We dined in and while we were there we seen many people pick up orders, so dine-in and pickup are available.
Great food, good service. Good little place to go to. I recommend. Carne asada tacos were a little to salty for our taste. But overall a great place.
Great little restaurant, hole in the Wall kinda place, but where you see cop's eat is usually a Good indicator... I had the omelette ala cart... Was huge, and filled with veggies and ham... Good stuff ! Stop in and give them a try!
Everytime we come here the lady always seems to be in a bad mood. Always has this ugly face like what are u doing here or something. The food is good but this one individual it's not the same anymore. And slamming the plates on the table when brought out to u.
I love this place because the service is great and the place is cute. The food varies in taste. I guess depends on who's cooking it.
Greetings friends, went to Castroville to purchase items from tractor supply and stopped by for breakfast, it's a small restaurant but the food was excellent, nice place to stop by, to get something to eat before going to your final destination.
Great placer for comfort food. Food is good, great menu items. Small in size with limited tables and limited parking spaces. Very clean and homey. Recommend.
Good place to eat but to go orders don't have the same amount in ta or as if you eat there. People are very nice and.food.is good
I used to go to Andrea when it was in San Antonio. It was my go to place. They moved to Castroville a few years ago. I've gone there about 3× when I visit my brother in law. I still like their tacos and huevos rancheros plate.
This is a little place, be ready for the small space, the food was good, and actually food is ready fast. The observation about this place, is that there is only two people working there, the waitress and the owner in the kitchen. They are short of personal so be patient and mindful that not all the menu is available. The waitress may look a little rude but she is not, it's just a lot on her plate. Other than that their tex-mex food is good. We got 2 cheese enchilada plates, 1 torta de asada, green enchiladas, 1 papa chorizo cheese taco and one order of pancakes, and 3 drinks, $50 total.
Pretty good Mexican food, it's about the same quality as tink a taco. Tortillas were fluffy. Food was kind of bland. Skimpy on the portions, I wasn't *full* by the time I was finished. My husband got migas and those were pretty good. I want to try their tacos next time. We did curbside and they were very friendly! Great hospitality. I'll give them another try.
Tortillas were super thin but it was tasty! Menudo was delish, next time I’ll take a picture lol
I give restaurant 3 stars just because for 1 it's really small maybe 8 tables, 2nd because the waitress wasn't very nice.. kinda on the rude side. The food was just good not great, the tortilla yes they were homemade but too crispy not fluffy. 🙁
The tacos were good, but the restaurant charged for taco toppings (cilantro, onion, pico de gallo, and cheese). To say I was disappointed, doesn’t even cover a bill of $38.xx for 4 asada tacos and an iced tea, in a town as large as Castroville. I won’t recommend.
This place needs to update their menu prices and not make the excuse that prices are different due to everything going up. Food was ok to good but not worth what we paid. Also, their salsa dispenser allows for customers to possibly double dip.
Been wanting to eat here since they moved from Loop 410 to Castroville. Not sure what happened, the food was not good. The waitress only served me coffee once and never refilled my cup or make sure if I needed anything else. I was the only patron there, go figure .
Waitress was really rushy and wouldn't even give me a chance to look at the menu foods always great but the waitress needs to fix her attitude
Has definitely lost its great food. It was a matter of time and yes it happens. Was stop as we drive through Castroville but now we must find a new spot.
Worst experience ever. One person working, bussing tables, taking orders, cashing out customers...maybe we just visited on an off day. Food was mediocre, coffee was a little too cool.
Worst food in town. Waitress was beyond rude and verbally racist. Tortillas tasted like bleach and the refried beans were stale. Waitress went as far as trying to say that we were unappreciative “white” people. I then told her in Spanish I was in-fact half. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
Y’all talkin bout abuelita style but abuelita didn’t send you away with a grease bomb in a bag. Never in all my days of breakfast tacos did I ever endure so much grease. Stick to bean & cheese and you might get lucky.
Ate here on Sunday August 30th, and it was a horrible experience. I first want to start off with something positive. The pancake I received was great and one of the best ones I’ve ever had. But my son said when he bit into his pancake it was spicy and he didn’t want to eat it anymore. I only ate the pancake after receiving a terrible chicken enchilada plate. The plate came flooded with “enchilada sauce” which wasn’t sauce it was only carne guisada gravy. That is not how I expected them to come and I wished they would have stated that in the menu. I thought I would try a bite and I bite into chicken skin and possibly some tendon. It was not appetizing at all and I had to spit it in a napkin. So I thought ok why not try to eat something else, and when I saw that my bean chalupa was soggy because they placed it the refried beans. I just couldn’t eat any of it, I literally took 2-3 bites and had to ask for something else. When I ordered something else I was not told that I would still be charged for the enchilada plate. So when my husband asked for the receipt the waitress tried to ignore him and brushed him off and said I'll take it to you, once that happened he told me, I know she is going to try to charge us for the plate. Like football he caught that play by play and when we asked why we were being charged she stated, “ Its because you ate off of it a bit.” We weren’t gonna try and argue, we just decided not to come back again. The waitress honestly wasn’t the most pleasant and there needs to be more training done. We will not be back. If you are the owner please view the receipt and contact us.
You have to pay for extra limes for menudo Damm pices wher so big had to cut with a knife One severe was rude 3 slices of lime 2 bucks menudo was not good had better at los portales Know they won’t charge for extra
Ordered chilaquiles tacos and they were the worst I've ever had from this place. When I arrived at home the brown bag was already drenched in oil/grease and so we're the tacos. Very disappointing because I've ordered them from here plenty of times before. Y'all need to have a talk with your cooks. Is Alex still running this place?
