We recently used Foodistan for a catering order and were incredibly impressed! The food was a huge hit with everyone. The veg keema biryani and chicken biryani were so delicious, and the starters were equally fantastic. The kala jamun was so delicious, everybody loved the food. We also got a customized gender reveal cake, and the butterscotch flavor was perfect with a texture that was just right and so Indian in taste. A special shout-out to Venu from their staff, who was a great help with our catering order and made the entire process so easy for us. We loved the food so much that we visited the restaurant again yesterday for mandi. We ordered the chicken mandi and nalli gosh mandi, and both were incredibly good. We will definitely recommend everyone to visit Foodistan for their amazing food and excellent service!

Exceptional Catering & Service – Special Thanks to Manager Jay! We recently used Foodisthan for catering at our home event, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — every item was fresh, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the dishes like veg kurma, chapati, biriyanis etc.. A huge shoutout to Manager Jay, who was incredibly professional, attentive, and easy to work with. He made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. Jay ensured everything was set up on time and went the extra mile to accommodate last-minute changes without a hitch. Thanks to Foodisthan and Jay, our event was a big success. We visited to try the morning breakfast and discovered an unlimited options menu. We sampled various items and enjoyed them all. I highly recommend it, as it includes Dosa with Sambhar and Chatni, Aloo Puri, Idlis, Upma, Dal Khichadi, a Sweet dish, and more. We also met Jai, the Food Manager, to learn about the food and facilities; he's very genuine. Additionally, we checked for eggless cake options and were pleased to find several choices.

I have ordered their foodistaan Special Non-Veg Fried Rice,and let me tell you, it's hands down the best in town! I've tried street-style fried rice at many places, always ending up disappointed—until now. The flavors here are bold, authentic, and absolutely unbeatable. Every bite was packed with the perfect mix of spice, texture, and quality meat ,it comes with egg,chicken and shrimp..If you're a fried rice lover, this spot is a must-try. Highly recommended..

Absolutely love Foodistaan Indian Groceries and Restaurant! I recently visited and was blown away by the authentic, flavorful food and the incredibly friendly staff. The service was warm and welcoming—they made me feel right at home. The restaurant side served some of the best Indian dishes I’ve had in a long time—freshly made, full of rich flavors, and served in generous portions. The butter chicken and biryani were especially delicious! The grocery section was also impressive—clean, well-organized, and stocked with all the Indian essentials I needed. It’s a one-stop shop for anyone who loves Indian cuisine and culture. Highly recommend Foodistaan for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a great shopping experience. Definitely my new go-to spot!

Positives - Snacks, pulaavs, appetizers, Biryanis are good and consistent. Staff are very attentive and take good care of customers which I feel very welcoming. Negatives - Whatever Paneer curry I order, I get almost same/similar gravy. No variation. Kadai paneer is definitely different from Paneer methi Chaman, which is totally different from Paneer tikka masala. But they give same gravy for every paneer curry, may be a 5-10% change. I stopped ordering naan and curries here.Hopefully they make it better, so that I don’t have to go to other restaurants for naan n curry 😂

We came for shopping groceries you will have lot of options in both indian grocery and meat. We tried their chikoo shake with chicken adhrakwala which is really good I like the spice level and garlic flavor in it is really good. Mothichur laddu is damn good. Feel in love with laddu must take out sweet. I gave 4star just because of quantity otherwise it would be 5star. Try to fill the box, I feel it is less qunatity.

We went there to try the food. We ordered chili paneer, Gobi Manchurian, Foodistan special chicken and veg Afghani momos. BIG mistake ordering the momos, the gravy was really bad. It looked like Kadhi at first but it was sweet like malai kofta, just weird. The paneer and Gobi were amazing! Loved the taste. For chicken, they warned us that it would be spicy but we still went for it. They weren’t kidding haha. It was spicy but still very good. Great place but stay away from the Afghani momos.

Taste : 🆗 Value for money : ✅ Service : ❌ Ambience : ✅ --- Order review. The order was really slow, it took more than 30 mins for our order to arrive one by one. Frankie was good. Pulav was really good. Ginger based chicken starter was tasty. Noodles had no salt or flavor. Pani puri was good, they make it with channa. You can skip dil pasand. Chole bhature was okay. Mysore bonda felt like it was not fresh, it was tasty though.

We used to be regular here for their snacks, tea, fried rice, biryani. really taste good and they maintain their quality. Especially tea used to be hot and strong. One Suggestion.. we got their shrimp curry during mid of the week, they simply reheated the curry and shrimp was like a rock solid rubber..Have to throw them to the bin. I think something they can fix. Biryani was good.

Service was great, friendly and attentive, no complaints there. We tried a few biriyanis. The gongura chicken biriyani was excellent, flavorful, and cooked just right. Goat biriyani was decent, nothing standout but not bad either. But the shrimp biriyani really missed the mark. It lacked flavor and felt like an afterthought. Desserts were mixed too. The mango pastry was just okay, more like generic cream cake, barely any mango flavor. But what really turned the experience was the falooda. Looked promising until we noticed an insect sitting right on top. That was it for us. Overall, the food was hit or miss. A few things were solid, but hygiene matters, and that falooda situation left a bad aftertaste, literally and figuratively.

Food: I’ve tried dishes like Chicken Manchurian Noodles and Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice, but honestly, the taste was quite disappointing. On the other hand, their Vegetable Keema Pulao stands out as a star dish—it’s flavorful, consistent every single time & the best keema pulao I’ve had in Austin. Service & Ambience: The ambience with its bright flashlight-style lighting feels uncomfortable for dine-in, so I usually prefer take-out. On one of my dine-in visits (a weekend), they had arranged a Telugu-Indian live band. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disastrous live music experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re choosing a Telugu band, at least ensure the performers have prior experience or a lead singer who can truly elevate the mood. Suggestions: Improving the taste and authenticity of Indo-Chinese dishes would make the menu stronger. For ambience, softer lighting and ensuring quality live performances would go a long way in creating a better dining experience. Score: 6/10

Shrinkflation To foodistan owners - I have a better idea. Increase the appetizer price to 20.99$ and decrease the size of the box to sauce boxes. You can build mansions and make millions. You are being too generous, even my entire family of 4 members are not able to finish the food in the huge box that I attached in the picture.
