I visited Lemongrass by Sip Sam Thai last week and had a pleasant dining experience overall, especially in terms of food freshness and service. Since it was a weekday, the restaurant was not very crowded, which made the experience calm and comfortable 😊. I started with the Veg Gyoza, which was decent. It was well-cooked and enjoyable, though not particularly standout 🥟. Ask for their In house hot sauce. The highlight of my visit was the Yellow Curry. I chose a spice level of 7 out 10 which felt medium to my Indian spice-level palate 🌶️. The curry tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced, and I truly loved it. It’s a dish I would definitely order again. For dessert, I tried the Roti dessert. The roti itself was very thin, and the amount of condensed milk added was quite minimal. As someone with a preference for sweeter desserts (especially with Indian taste expectations), it felt less sweet than expected 🍯. In hindsight, I probably should have asked for it to be extra sweet, but since it was my first time ordering, I didn’t realize it would be that mild. Service was quick and efficient, with food arriving within 10–15 minutes, which was impressive ⏱️. Pros: ✅ Fresh and flavorful yellow curry ✅ Fast service ✅ Calm ambiance on weekdays Cons: ❌ Dessert was not sweet enough Overall, a good spot for fresh Thai food with room for small improvements
My wife and I always love a visit to Lemongrass! It is truly one of our favorite restaurants! The food is exceptional, the service is always very good as well! One of our favorite dishes is the Mango Sticky Rice.
First time eating here, the food was fantastic. I had the pork skewers, green papays shrimp salad and mango sticky rice for dessert. More tgan I could eat at one sitting so went home with tasty leftovers. 10/10 would highly recommend their food. Great, friendly service and delicious fresh ingredients. I will definitely be returning soon.
I very much enjoyed the red curry with pork which was part of the lunch special. You can choose spice level on a scale of 1-10 and 5 worked well for me. Service was good which was attentive but not hovering. Looking forward to a trip back for new things to try.
Lemongrass is an excellent Thai restaurant in Cedar Park. It’s not my favorite Thai place in the Austin area, but it’s near the top of the wet. Their lunch specials are good and the Thai tea here is excellent. The Tom kha is also good, although I wish it had come with a little bit of chili oil for some spice. This is well worth a visit if you like Thai.
Delicious food and great service. This immediately went on our regular rotation, can’t wait to try more menu items. Update: went back and tried the Thai Pork Spare Ribs with sticky rice. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. love this place. Would give it more stars if I could. Also the Thai tea is heavenly.
Cedar Park is booming with great Asian food places and Lemongrass is another hit! This modern themed restaurant’s got a Thai, Vietnamese, and Indian fusion thing going and the food is so flavorful and great portions. Our favorite was the pad see ew (you can customize protein and add spiciness) and the minced beef salad. I only wish they would add more locations near Central Austin cuz I have to make a 45 min drive every time I crave this place!
I recently had lunch at this Thai restaurant and chose the Chicken Red curry, and it was outstanding! The curry had a rich, creamy texture with a perfect balance of spice and sweetness, complemented by fresh basil and vibrant vegetables. The chicken was tender and absorbed the flavorful sauce well, creating a warm, comforting dish with layers of depth in every bite. Served with steamed jasmine rice, it was the ideal companion to soak up the delicious sauce. For $15, the portion was generous and satisfying. This dish is a must-try for anyone looking for authentic, well-executed Thai curry. I’ll definitely order it again! The meal also came with a small soup of the day and a cream cheese wonton, which was a pleasant surprise. The soup was a light, comforting starter with fresh herbs, while the wonton was crispy and satisfying, providing a nice contrast to the rest of the dish. For $15, this lunch special offers a fantastic value, especially considering the quality and portion size. The option to switch to brown rice for an additional $2 felt worth it for the added health benefit. I’d highly recommend this place for anyone craving flavorful, well-prepared Thai food at a reasonable price.
Lemongrass offers a delightful culinary experience with its tantalizing menu filled with fresh and high-quality dishes. From the moment you step in, the clean and inviting ambiance sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The attentive staff ensures that every need is met promptly and with a smile. Each dish bursts with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to using only the finest ingredients. Whether you're a fan of Thai cuisine or new to its delights, Lemongrass promises a journey of taste that leaves you craving for more. Highly recommend it👍
I like stopping by this place, especially for the steamed dumplings! Today I tried their sticky rice and mango dessert and it was super good. I've been there several time and they always greeted me nicely, everything is very clean and smells good. Their serving size are generous so you don't come outa here with half the empty stomach. I recommend the place either for a company lunch, a loving date or just for food discovery. Very nice chic and affordable Thai food restaurant.
This is my new favorite Thai restaurant in Austin. I had the shrimp spring rolls, tom ka soup with chicken and the pork skewers. The rolls had plenty of herbs to make them taste super fresh and the peanut sauce was thick and flavorful. The soup was very rich and flavorful and they got the spice spot on. The pork skewers were amazing and so was the dipping sauce for them. My server was friendly and the iced tea nice and strong. I’ll be back for sure.
We regularly get take out from this place and finally went in for dine in. We enjoyed our visit. The service was great and the food was delicious. The Thai Tea is huge. The dishes are unique. We had egg rolls as an appetizer, and while I am not usually a fan of egg rolls, I enjoyed these. Many of the dishes came with carrots cut to look like a flower. We enjoyed our experience. The only warning I might give is that many of the seats do not have backs, so if you have back problems, just be aware.
I am very impressed with Lemongrass. I ordered their shrimp spring rolls and they were HUGE. Great taste when you add the peanut sauce. I ordered Basil Fried Rice and it was delicious. I ordered a spicy level 6 and it was spicy, but not overbearing. If I am ever in the area again, I am going to eat here!!!
This was my second visit to this Thai restaurant, and it continues to be one of the better Thai spots in town. I really enjoy their yellow curry with chicken, especially when ordered spicy. We also tried the vegetable gyoza 🥟, which were good and even better when paired with chili or hot sauce (you can request it on the side). This time, we decided to end the meal with dessert and tried the roti. It was good overall, but it would have been better with a bit more condensed milk. While it’s a nice dessert option, it did feel slightly pricey for what you get.
The fish dish was really tasty. The tomyum chicken was a little bit salty for my taste. Nice fresh flowers on each table. Only have 2 ladies waited all tables. So may be that was why the 2 waitresses were not look happy. They look upset hahaha.... well, we will come back, hope in a good day and see they happy.
We really like this place! We heard so many great things about Lemongrass, we had to try it out. We’ve eaten in a couple of times, but mainly place orders to go. We’ve ordered pad Thai noodles, yellow curry with brown rice, drunken noodles and chicken fried rice. For the kids we’ll order Chow Mein which is great and fried rice. They messed our order up once and when we called, the woman was so helpful and accommodating and said they would remake the order for us to pick up. The way the woman handled the customer experience was amazing and I give huge kudos for that. The food is really good and the place is simple, nice and cute.Overall a great place for Thai food.
Overall the staff were friendly and food was decent but the price for lunch was steep . I paid $17.30 in total with tax with lunch starting at $15 and some change . The regular pricing is $17 and some change . I did get a small salad and 1 veggie dumplings but I found that the pricing was very high for lunch and with a $2 price difference. Will not be returning back for lunch anytime soon.
Food was good, service was not. I had a bit of an accident, completely my own fault, but ended up with my entire soup that had just been brought out, in my lap and all over the floor. I wasn’t expecting anyone to bring me another for free, I just felt like they could’ve at the very least, offered to bring me more broth so I could at enjoy what was left of my now broth less pieces of chicken with something. I had to order a second bowl of soup, and yes they did charge me for both even though I never even got to enjoy the first one before it ended up in my lap. On top of that, when I came back from cleaning off my pants in the ladies room, I found no one had even bothered to help me clean some of it (I had already cleaned the table before I went to the ladies’s room), there was still soup all over floor and in my chair. To which they responded with oh just sit on the other side. Really? My daughter and I had to enjoy the rest of our meal stepping in a soup puddle under the table. I know I could’ve gotten down on my hands and knees and cleaned it myself, but at that point I was just so put off by their lack of customer service that I thought, nope I’m not gonna do that. Plus it was pretty expensive. $71 including tax for 2 people + tip =$80! All we had was the bowl of soup (well x2), egg fried rice, order of egg rolls and chicken pad Thai with 2 iced teas. (My daughter had an Arnold Palmer which was an upcharge of $3.50 which no one told us about). So all in all I don’t think we will be back again. Too bad because the food was good.
Never had a bad experience here until this time. Good food. But our waitress seems like she’s in a bad mood when we dine in today. She was not friendly. While I was still trying to say something to her. she turned around. Idk if she was busy or had something else to do. It feels unfriendly.
