The hostess was a bit rude when we asked not to be seated at a small table but her eye roll attitude and I'll see what I can do did not take away from the delicious food we are served. You encounter rudeness many places atleast our waiter Vance and food made up for her attitude.

We visited West Point for a couple of days and this place was recommended to us. It was a great spot! I had a perfectly seasoned swordfish with just the right touch of crisp. Hubby’s chicken was crispy but also moist and flavorful. Server was attentive and polite. Zero complaints—ample servings. Try the Brussels sprouts, too. Omg—the olive bread and oil are delish! BONUS: super nice and huge outlet mall just up the road with easy access! 🤗

This was a wonderful experience. We were not from the local area and stopped based on ease of location. The service was impeccable and even with the restaurant being very busy on a Friday evening we were seated immediately without a reservation. The food was spectacular and portions very generous. The drinks were also brilliant and delicious as well as reasonably priced for the quality. The server was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the dishes and appropriate drink pairings. They take cash and credit cards.

Cosimo’s just gets it. The pastas are kind of brilliant—familiar enough to feel cozy but with little twists that make you stop mid-bite. The whole place has this easy, cool energy, like it knows exactly what it is and doesn’t need to prove anything. Staff are kind in a way that feels real, not rehearsed. The lighting’s right, the music’s good, and it somehow feels like everyone there is in on the same relaxed, good-night-out mood. You leave full, happy, and already thinking about when you’ll be back.

This review specifically covers the Woodbury location. Newburgh and Middletown locations have been excellent. Service was below average for this restaurant. Long wait times for drinks and main meals. Being told you’re waiting on an item to be refilled and then watching a full jar of it go to another table seconds later. Tables that were sat 10-15 mins after us were served main courses 10-15 mins prior to us (we had basic non complicated meals). Both over and under cooked dishes. Alcoholic beverages not made correctly and forgotten about at the bar. Finally brought it out and half the ice was gone and it was warm. Crowded dining spaces. Could not hear each other talk sitting at a 2 person table. Manager visited every single table in our section except us. We were seated right in the isle by the door. Had to walk past us to get to any other table. Honestly I wouldn’t care if she didn’t come had I not realized she went to every other table and not us. Like I mentioned this only refers to Woodbury. I’ve been going to the newburgh location for a year and have never had a bad time. One of my favorite places to eat and always take family when they come visit.

The Waitress ignored my empty drink at the edge of the table 3 times, I than proceeded to find the manager to explain the situation of the negligence of the Waitress not taking into consideration my empty drink and when we asked for more bread and oil the Waitress only brought bread and no oil. The food was good however the service was absolutely terrible.

I had an extremely disturbing experience at this restaurant and regret coming here. Shortly after dining, I became severely ill with profuse vomiting and intense stomach pain, which strongly suggests serious food safety or handling issues. The food itself was disgusting and clearly underprepared. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was the handling of my order: my drink was taken to the back for a refill instead of being refilled tableside, and my food was also taken to the back to be packaged. While this may seem minor, combined with everything else, it raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food handling practices. Additionally, the silverware was visibly dirty, which is unacceptable and unsanitary. Overall, the restaurant felt unhygienic and poorly managed. This was not just bad food — it was a health concern. I wish I had never been recommended this place and will absolutely not be returning. I strongly urge management and health inspectors to review this location.

That's it. I ate here in September and vowed I would never come back. Broke my vow and came back tonight. How this place stays in business is testament to the fact that most people simply don't know what good food is. In my 59 years I've never tasted food as bland, dull, and soggy as the food they serve here. On more than one occasion, so it's definitely a pattern. Spent $140 on microwaved eggplant parmigiana garbage with zero flavor. The fried calamari was soggy and bland. Mushy spaghetti with tasteless tomato sauce. Never again.

We order from here all the time. We love the food, but the customer service today for DoorDash users was terrible. They canceled an entire order because they could not cancel one item that I had ordered, for which I was given incorrect information about the ingredients. When I asked the lady on the phone to cancel the item, which contained butter and for which I am allergic, she said I would need to cancel the entire order on DoorDash. I told her I did not understand why, since they had refunded me before. And she said no. DoorDash was then charging me for canceling the order. I call her back, and she says, "Oh, I did not know I could cancel from here." And she canceled the entire order. Oh well, they lost a customer.
