Opinions de Jamba Cerritos
I'm a fan of really high quality gelato (see Gelato & Co, NYC), but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this ice cream. There is really no creamier ice cream, but don't let it melt-- it will taste terrible as it's almost all cream!
I have tried ice cream from many places, but so far Creamistry is still the best in my opinion. The premium base gives such a rich creamy texture and the variety of flavors you can choose are vast. Plus they're made on the spot with liquid nitrogen! My personal favorites are premium espresso and the Affogato.
Regular ice cream will never compare to this place. I love options of adding different ingredients to my ice cream while I see it made in front of me. It's so yummy!!
Always a pleasant visit to this location... friendly n courteous staff... the process went quick even with several parties on front of us. The quality of the ice cream is always on point... highly recommend this location...
I have been here a few times, and I love it! The science behind it is so amazing to watch. While it takes a little longer than most ice cream shops... definitely worth the wait! :)
The ice cream flavors are delicious!! Very creamy and rich taste. I had the animal party ice cream and it was the best 20 minutes ever.
The science and the food reminds me of an episode of Good Eats. Great choices and flavor combinations make this a great place to take the family or a date. If you like Ice Cream and the Big Bang Theory, you'll love this place !
My husband and I were out in California to visit our son. This is one of he places our son wanted us to try. It was wonderful. Clean, not too expensive, and fun to watch being made. We highly recommend trying it. We had them make us coffee IceCream. Incredible!!
Let me start off by saying when I first had this place it was amazing and continues to be amazing. Tonight I ordered birthday cake and Oreo. Oreo of course is my favorite of them all. The birthday cake was surprisingly really good as well, I was a bit skeptical because it had sprinkles. The sprinkles added a special texture to my experience of eating the ice cream, they are very thin sprinkles and not so powdery like others I've had. I have also been to the one in Downey and the products are really different. The Downey one to my knowledge is a franchise and there's something that doesn't sit well with me there. The softness of the ice cream is not there like it is here.
The ice cream here is absolutely delicious! Recently went for the first time have gone back multiple times since then. Made right there in front of you in a few minutes to enjoy immediately or get it extra frozen to take home. Favorites are the ruby and key lime flavors.
Love this place. They serve both ice cream and shakes and have a large variety of options on their menu. You can either create your own dessert or choose from predefined options on their menu. They also have non dairy options which is a huge plus.
Smooth creamy ice cream. Lots of yummy choices. The liquid nitrogen gimmick is nice to watch. Located in a nice plaza with lots of free self parking. The restaurant is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a few tables inside.
OMG, best place for ice cream made to order, so refreshing and very flavorful to the pallet. They have a variety of flavorful treats, I suggest ordering every flavor your heart desires, they are delightful!
Enjoyed my visit as a first timer here loved it. Immediately upon entering I was able to see the nitro shake be made. It is so neat and different. Makes trying new things interesting ! PREMIUM LIQUID NITROGEN ICE CREAM MADE FRESH TO ORDER VEGAN & NON-DAIRY OPTIONS FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE Ok so they have to options for there nitro shake whole milk / and or Vegan based milk products.
I simply have a soft spot for ice cream, overall a had a pretty good experience here. Highly customizable with a variety of different flavors, definitely a recommendation of mine
Great ice cream. Very soft and rich. My son got cotton candy with sprinkles mixed in, and I swear it tasted like animal crackers. I wouldve taken a picture but his was already half gone when I tried. Will definitely return but prices are really high.
First Time Visiting This Place. Staff Are Friendly, Everything In The Menu Looks Good. Price Is Fair. Portion Size Is Good, I Just Feel They Need To Use A Bigger Cup, That Way Ice Is Not Falling On The Sides. I Would Definitely Recommend This Place For Some Ice Cream.
Great place for the smoothest possible ice cream
Amazing ice cream... unbeatable. Went for a special treat, and was not dissappinted. Highly recommend
Delicious, many options for vegans and lactose intolerance. I really like the taro flavor.
Always a great place for some ice cream.. Yet.. Kinda pricey..

I've heard that liquid nitrogen ice cream is smoother than normal, but idk why my mind didn't really imagine what it'd be like. It's good, pricey, and not something I would do frequently, but it's worth it because it is a uniquely different experience.
the staff makes these ice creams and desserts look fancy, and to take pictures of, and they are really great. Like the Cookie monster, unicorn, s'mores, party animal -flavors are great, in a large cup is a full meal. Get the receipt- so next time get a 10% off your next purchase within 7 days. Creamistry is great for all ages. I love watching little children light up seeing the nitrogen being mixed with the ice cream mix. Like a mad science center. White walls and colorful decorations. It's very fun and loud. I'm glad they introduced the mini size, because for many of us with small appetites or not a big sweet tooth, you don't need so much ice cream. The mini is 3+ dollars but don't worry, it's still a good amount of ice cream! Gets very busy in the summer and friday-saturday-sunday.
Okay, this place is probably where all the hip asian youngsters go. It was packed on a Friday night about a month after opening. There are a ridiculously large number of toppings and options to customize your ice cream. The liquid nitrogen effect is actually really awesome and fun to run your hands through. I'm sure people already know $9 for a small cup of ice cream is ridiculous, but if you share that with 3 of your friends, it's definitely enough sweets already. We ordered a chocolate flavor with oreos and mochi, and it tasted fresh and creamy. I'd definitely go back and hang out with people half my age :).
Very tasty, creamy ice cream. Expensive if compared to Dairy Queen, but maybe not if compared to 31 Flavors or Haagen Dazs. Unique process with nitrogen used to make the ice cream right in front of you. Just wish that there were more flavors and not just a whole bunch of toppings.
The premium base is too creamy, almost tasting like butter, but the organic is a perfect base. Too bad it's a $1.00 more to get a decent milk based ice cream. If you like sorbets they don't charge extra and the nitrodole is really good, tasting almost exactly like the exclusive Disneyland Dole Whip.
While Creamistry really does produce some of the creamiest ice creams I've ever had, combined with the sciency fun of made to order ice cream flash frozen before your eyes, the high prices and long waits are what knocked a star off of my rating. The staff are all friendly and excited about their product, albeit they are all brand new since this location is still operating under a soft opening (as of 9/13/14). I get the feeling that the people making the ice cream are still trying to figure it all out. I saw about 10 people working hard to make the ice cream, yet it took 2-3 minutes between each order announced. The biggest problem with their operation is that if you have 2 orders on the same ticket they don't come out at the same time. My wife and I ordered 2 different items last weekend and it took about 7-8 minutes to get my order after she received hers. They need to somehow figure out how to link several connected orders. Now the good news is that the ice cream was AMAZING, so we put up with it. At $5.50 for a small, $8.50 for a medium, and $9.50 for a "family" it's no secret what size they are pushing customers to order. This place is a not a come everyday ice cream spot like 31 flavors or Thrifty's might be, Creamistry is for special nights, when you're already prepared to drop $50 on whatever you're doing. But like I said, the product is incredible and hopefully they are going to improve their order method because I'm sure we'll be back again and again and again.
Cool experience to watch them make the ice cream and the flavor was delicious as well. But for the price I think it is a little too expensive, almost $10 for the smallest size. You can customize your order to whatever you like but I think it is slightly too pricey. Other than that, everything about this place was great!
Good ice cream but we can say this expensive place
Friendly staff willing to explain how to craft your perfect dessert step by step. Great variety of cream bases, flavors, and toppings. If you have little ones with you, they will enjoy the process on how the staff will prepare their treat, specially, because of the nitrogen smoke that will invades the counter top.

Unique way for ice cream handcrafted using nitrogen mix. It offers plenty of flavor, fruity as well as sweet and chocolate flavors. The taste is better than a regular ice cream.

My sister excitedly told me that Creamistry is finally open, so we decided to go one Thursday night with my mom. It was still the soft opening and PACKED but they moved along fairly efficiently. The three of us opted for the regular/small size sans toppings with the standard milk. It's kind of annoying that you don't get one topping included in the price and that you have to pay extra for organic milk. I did find the ice cream to be really heavy. Flavors: Cheesecake: Barely a hint of cheesecake. It was good quality creamy ice cream, but the cheesecake flavor at Cold Stone's is much more prominent. Cinnamon Toast Crunch: Tasted JUST like the cereal and milk! Quite impressive although I could have personally gone with more cinnamon. Birthday cake: Also good. For some reason, this is the flavor that ice cream shops get down pat. Qualms: 1. Price - $5.50 is steep considering it doesn't come with any toppngs. I understand the novelty is in the liquid nitrogen, but I'd much rather have a smaller size (the small is still really heavy) 2. Atmosphere: SO crowded and a bit disorganized. Everyone is shuffled over to a small area to wait for their ice cream, and it all ran into the line that was forming out the door. This was all despite the fact that there were tons of staff working and running around. Guess there's not much to do but wait for the store to get less popular? Overall, it's a good novel experience, but I won't be running back. Although the flavors are good, the ice cream itself is much too heavy to be an after-dinner dessert, and the cost is a little too high - it is ice cream after all.
This place is okay because the ice cream is okay.. nothing special aside their nitrogen trick. I'd preferred artisan creamery over chemistry trick. The good old churning way always taste and feel better.
I really like their ice cream and topping choices. Unfortunately they can't seem to be able to get a uber eats order done correctly. I've ordered multiple times and today got my 3rd out of 4 orders wrong again.
Creamistry is okay. I mean, the idea and the way they make their ice cream is cool. But at the end of the day, it's ice cream. Overpriced ice cream at that. This location is fairly new and is often crowded. You'll know they've had a busy day once you see the trash overflowing with cups. Sure, the ice cream is good. But it's nothing too special.
The ice cream was decent but the real draw here is the show when they freeze the cream with liquid nitrogen. I discovered that you can only have one flavor of ice cream in your bowl as they are not allowed to make two flavors and combine them into the same bowl. This place was fun for a one time experience but I don't think the flavor was good enough to offset the cost and long lines.
While visiting my granddaughters in Lakewood we decided to try this new ice cream shop. We all agreed what we had was very good, but the price was too high!! I spent $20.71 on 3 smalls. I would only go back if I was with someone that was curious to see how it is done. I can get better ice cream at Cold Stone for a lot less.
After lunch it was time for dessert, lots of options in this plaza, but Creamistry won. There wasn't really a line and the step-by-step menu made for easy ordering. I ended up going with a small, premium base, green tea, with no toppings = $6 (tax included). The ice cream was a bit too rich, definitely very creamy, not to mention melted very quickly. I was beating the clock trying to finish before it turned into ice cream soup. Perhaps adding toppings would've slowed down the melting process... Staff was nice and patient since this was my first time. They definitely work hard utilizing the nitrogen machine. Will I come back again? Probably not any time soon. I think Creamistry's competitors such as Ice Cream Lab is a better bang for your buck and doesn't melt as fast.
Ice cream was good, line was too long and price was way too high. We got 2 cups with cookies in the ice cream. One had cookies mixed into the ice cream the other they just sprinkled some cookie crumbs on top. Very little quality control.
Excited to see them make your ice cream. You can create your own combo. The taste is delicious. However, its pricey for a regular size for almost $10. Not worth it!
It is a not bad place. As seen in photos they make the products right there in front of you. It does not taste like ice cream i think it has different texture than the classic ice cream. I wanted to get large one but they said you can't choose two different flavor which is weird to me because why would someone want to have the whole large cream the same flavor. It seems like they don't do it because it's more work to do two flavors and put it in one cup but for the price paid i think it should be possible. Overall it's okay place and it's fun to see inside.

My spouse LOVES this place so it definitely has some things going for it. I like it okay but I'm not a huge fan. It's overpriced and over hypes imo. It takes forever to get your ice cream and the flavors aren't always as great as they sound. Plus they make odd choices like I ordered the Elemint creation to try something new because I love mint/chocolate combos - it's mint ice cream with chocolate chips, oreo, & fudge. I expected those things to be mixed into the ice cream. Instead they all come caked on the top and as soon as you start to eat it they start falling off so pretty soon you're left with just mint ice cream. My spouse says I could've asked them to mix the stuff in, but I don't understand why that isn't the default since it just makes more sense. Anyway, that's just one example. Their ice cream is definitely some of the smoothest creamiest ice cream you'll ever have - that's where they excel. But the flavors and toppings and price and long wait all leave a lot to be desired. I prefer DQ Blizzards or one of several ice cream flavors from my local grocery store.

This was the first time I ever went to a Creamistry, but after my first visit, I am not a huge fan of it. I ordered a cookie monster smoothie with almond milk, and for a size large, it's more of a size small when compared to other ice cream shops or any general fast food restaurant. It was also rather overpriced, $13.00 for a size-small ice cream labelled as large. I also got an upset stomach as soon as I was finished with my ice cream. Probably won't try it again.
Compared to the Irvine location of Creamistry, this location is probably the worst in service and cleanliness. The counter is extremely filthy with spills all over the floor, serving areas, tables, chairs, bathroom and ice cream prep station. We were in the store for 25 minutes for our three ice cream orders to be fulfilled. Some people finished when they were behind me! Waffle cones were made in advance and there were only four individual ice cream makers operated by three employees. This location should be closed by the Health Department!

I came back to try the Organic Milk Base..in hopes that it wouldn't be as heavy and milky as the Premium Milk Base. Sad to say that I still have this place lol. I wasn't able to finish my small Cookie Butter because it started tasting gross and milky. :( I'm not lactose or anything. I just prefer plain, old, traditional ice cream. Can't go wrong with a classic!
Creamistry has one of the best ice cream especially the taro flavor one. We always go to creamistry to get big pints of ice cream. We tried this new location and the staff was not friendly at all. We asked for 3 pints of the taro and they said they don't have it and only offer the flavors in the fridge. In my previous experience they'd always make the ice cream in front of you. This time at this location it seems like they only wanted to sell the cheap basic flavors from the fridge (basically old pre-made ice cream). It sucks they were too lazy to make it. Overall its feels like creamistry is not what it used to be. Instead of getting quality handmade ice cream that you can't get anywhere else. They now just want to be lazy and sell you basic flavors you can get in stores.
