Opinions de Lime and Lemon Chapel Hill
Walking in I was immediately impressed by the look and feel of the restaurant. The bright yellow and lime green seating are a whimsical nod to the name. We were completely blown away by the food. The samosa chaat was insanely good and the mango lime chicken knocked my socks off. Our server Edwin was incredibly attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back. This was a top notch dinner experience ✨
From suitcase to saag paneer. ✈️🥘 After a long day of travel, my wife and I found exactly what we needed. We started for the vibes (check out those awards! 🏆) and stayed for the feast. The Stars of the Show: * Lamb Korma 🐑 * Aloo Gobi 🥔 * Saag Paneer 🧀 * Rosemary Naan (The MVP, honestly! 🌿) Huge shoutout to Edwin and the crew for the incredible service. 10/10 would travel for this again! ✨
I had the lunch special - and well; the lunch comes with a rice dish, a fried chicken dish, and a Marsala style dish, a small desert and a yogurt sauce. You better come hungry. Worth every penny. My server, Edwin remained very attentive! I had mine medium, and it was perfectly spiced. Naan was crispy on the outside and warm - perfect. This place earned its high reviews!
This was my first time at Lime & Lemon and I was absolutely delighted! I love Indian food, especially biryani, but I like it really spicy. Many restaurants don't believe me and deliver the normal level of spice. But Edwin made sure that my spicy expectations were exceeded, and my biryani was delicious! Edwin and the staff overall also were extremely helpful with my 89 year old mother and her walker. I will definitely be back, and not not just once!
Lime & Lemon Chapel Hill was fantastic! The Goat Sukha was absolutely phenomenal – rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The rest of the dishes were just as fresh and beautifully prepared. Our server, Edwin, made the experience even better. He was friendly, attentive, and gave us great menu suggestions. His service really stood out and made us feel well taken care of. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for amazing food and excellent service. Ask for Edwin – he’s the best!
First time eating Indian food and it was delicious! I had tandoori salmon and my son had the tika masala which he loved. Edwin was an amazing waiter! I’ll definitely be back!
Our server Edwin recommended us two dishes similar to what we like. And he nailed it, I think The Mango Lime Chicken is my new favorite and my husband really liked The Goat Rogan Josh. The food with the Naan platter and delicious drinks made it all to a delicious dinner. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. Definitely Our favorite Indian restaurant.
Enjoyed a great lunch today. We tried Lime & Lemon in Chapel Hill. The service was outstanding and the staff was very helpful with us selecting items from the menu. Edwin was especially helpful pointing out different menu items we might enjoy based on our conversation with him. My wife tried a little hotter dish which prompted the picture with my eyes watering after I tried a bite. My mango lime chicken was terrific. Definitely will come back.
I came from Alabama to visit my sister. Back home we nearly don’t have as nice as a place as this. This place is fantastic and if I had friends who lived here I would definitely recommend them to come here without a doubt in my mind. Ask for Edwin this man is a legend and a great server 10/10 would recommend him. I had a great time with my sister and her husband and this man made it all the more worth the experience. Love this place and I know the next time I come to visit my sister we know where we are going for a great time.
Came for the first time for lunch and it was incredible. Edwin was our server and helped us pick out the most delicious dishes. We ordered the chicken 65, madras chicken curry, mango lime chicken and the garlic naan. Everything tasted great!! Thank you Edwin for giving us a great experience! We will definitely be back!
We celebrated a birthday at Lime and Lemon last evening and each dish we ordered as expertly cooked. We had the naan basket with Mango Chicken, Tiki Masala chicken, and Paneer Butter Masala. The Paneer was soft and tender like savory marshmallows in a rich, perfectly seasoned, buttery sauce. The service was impeccable, Edwin was such a good waiter. My only criticism was that the bathroom could have been cleaner.
My boyfriend and I came to Lime and Lemon in Meadowmont Village on November 23rd, 2024, for his birthday. He loves Indian food. This was my 3rd time coming here. We got the Gobi Manchurian (not pictured) for our appetizer. It was delicious! I got the paneer dish which is pictured in my review. I believe it was made in the Tandoor oven. The server had to check with the kitchen if they would be able to make it or not. Our server came back and said they didn’t have it so I ordered something else from that section on the menu. To my surprise, when our entrees came out, I didn’t recognize the dish, but our server said they were able to make the paneer dish. I was so happy. The paneer dish from the tandoor oven comes with vegetables as pictured and a mint chutney. It also comes with a lemon that you squeeze over the top of your dish. My dish was AMAZING!! The food was great as usual. My boyfriend also wanted Garlic Naan so we ordered that too. It was delicious as well with the fresh garlic. He ordered an item that was off the menu for his entree. I talked to the manager a couple times on the phone about it and he said he would be able to do it. My boyfriend loves chicken. He got the tandoori chicken made in the tandoor oven. His dish was with white meat. I don’t remember the exact name of the dish now, but he liked it. We also shared a mango lassi towards the end of our meal. It was great…both of us liked it. I told the server we are celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. We ordered the brownie. When our server brought it out, he poured something on it and the chocolate started bubbling over. It was so cool! I had asked if they can right happy birthday and light the candle. They brought out another dessert. That was the pistachio kulfi (Indian ice cream) and Gulab Jamun, my boyfriend’s favorite Indian dessert (Gulab Jamun). The plate had Happy Birthday written across it in chocolate and they brought a lighted candle. Oh. The bartender played the happy birthday song by William, when our desserts came out. What a nice touch! The atmosphere at the restaurant is excellent and the service is great too. We both had a wonderful time. Our servers were Preetham and Prakash. They were both great. I believe the name of the manager at this location was Mayil. He was very professional and worked with our needs. This is my favorite Indian restaurant and I am sure I will be back with my boyfriend. Make sure you go to this location (Chapel Hill). They have an extensive menu. I have also tried some North Indian dishes like the garlic naan and paneer in a creamy gravy when I went with family. It was really good too.
Had a wonderful experience!! The ambience is fantastic. Parking is very convenient. The service is quick although the restaurant was almost full. The dishes taste amazing. I was glad to see that they offer a significant number of South Indian dishes. They have the usual north Indian dishes as well. But I appreciated the variety. We ordered samosas which were really good. The pastry was crispy and flaky and the potato filling had the right flavors. We were blown over by their South Indian dishes. We had the uttapam and the Mysore masala dosa. Both were served with three different chutneys and a huge bowl of sambhar. The chutneys were extremely flavorful and the sambhar had depth which other Indian restaurants in the triangle often lack. The uttapam and dosa were also really great. It is always fun to get freshly made warm dosa! I really appreciated the price point as well. Every item is reasonably priced for the superior quality that they offer. Will certainly be returning here to try other South Indian dishes and the kulfi.
Edwin took amazing care of our table, and recommended very tasty dishes when we were still undecided between a few. Samosa chaat, who knew!! A trip to Meadowmont Village is not complete until you dine at Lime & Lemon. Ask for Edwin’s section.
If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine in town, Lime and Lemon Indian Grill should be on your list. I was impressed by the overall experience - from the ambiance to the service and of course, the food. We got the knock-out chicken, butter chicken, mint and basil naan, mango lassi, masala dosa, and a goat Briyani. All were rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. Aside from the food, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. All in all, I highly recommend Lime and Lemon Indian Grill for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience.
Edwin was the best! He had the best recommendations for drinks and food and even surprised us with free shots. He asked if we were students and then selected no tip for himself since we were. 😭 I only had a little cash on me but nowhere near enough for the amazing service he gave us. We’ll definitely be back soon. Thank you Edwin!!
Really enjoyed our dinner at Lime and Lemon! Our server Edwin T was extremely friendly and made sure we enjoyed everything throughout the meal, he made our dinner exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well as gluten free is noted on the menu.
We went to lime and lemon last week... I went in feeling a little skeptical because I didn't particularly have a great experience at the Durham location. The Chapel Hill location though is excellent! Excellent selection of cocktails, mocktails and other beverages! The food was on point! All the curries tasted distinct and had their own individual identities! We had a delicious evening celebrating a friends birthday, and will definitely be back for more! Lots and lots of vegetarian options across north and south Indian cuisine.
Edwin, the server, made my first time at Lime & Lemon incredible. He was so kind, and he made some great suggestions for food. The actual food was amazing too. This has become an instant go to place for me now, thanks to the kindness of Edwin.
We had a lovely dinner here this past weekend, and everyone in our party of five absolutely loved what we ordered. The staff is very attentive to food allergies, and spice level preferences. Service was fast and very attentive. Absolutely LOVED the mango lime chicken, the samosa chaat appetizer, and the the lemon pepper cauliflower appetizer. the madras chicken was also delicious. The naan was perfect. We had no complaints about anything at all.
First off!...If you get a chance to have Edwin serve you, I highly recommend it. He was so kind, knowledgeable, and prompt. Even if the food wasn't AMAZING, I would still rate his service off the charts! Now, let me get to the good stuff...THE FOOD! The food is so incredible, there are so many authentic items to choose from, an unbelievable amount of mixed cocktails and beers to choose from as well. Our meal was cooked beautifully and tasted divine. Definitely a must stop every time my wife and I are in Chapel Hill. Update! Went back and once again Edwin was a rockstar and made great recommendations! The food was amazing and the dessert was fantastic! We plan to stop here every time we are in the area! 😃
Honestly I saw the 4.9 stars and I was a bit skeptical. Until I went there. First we were blown away by the level of service we received. Our server Edwin provided us with one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. His recommendations were spot on and he made us feel at home. The food itself was absolutely outstanding. I usually only eat vegetarian when I get Indian food, but Edwin suggested the Mango Lime Chicken and he did not lead us astray. The flavors were superb. He also suggested a specialty Margarita which was one of the best we have ever had. L&L is a must try. You may run into us there because this place just went to the top of our favorite restaurants.
Lime and Lemon in Chapel Hill is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with the tantalizing aroma of spices dancing in the air. The ambiance sets the stage for what is sure to be a memorable dining experience. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their goat curry, while my wife decided on the vindaloo. Let me tell you, both dishes were outstanding! The goat curry was a symphony of flavors, with a rich and creamy sauce enveloping tender, succulent pieces of goat that practically melted in my mouth. The spices were perfectly balanced, creating a depth of flavor that left me wanting more. My wife was equally impressed with the vindaloo, praising its complex layers of heat and spice that left a satisfying tingle on the palate. Of course, no Indian meal is complete without naan, and Lime and Lemon's naan was simply divine. Freshly baked and incredibly soft, it was the perfect vessel for soaking up every last drop of the flavorful curries. I could have eaten an entire basket of it! But what truly sets Lime and Lemon apart is their exceptional service. From the moment we were seated, our server, Edwin, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Edwin took the time to answer our questions, offer recommendations, and make us feel like valued guests. Overall, my dining experience at Lime and Lemon was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious food, warm atmosphere, and outstanding service makes it a true gem in Chapel Hill. Whether you're a seasoned Indian food lover or a curious newcomer, I highly recommend giving Lime and Lemon a try. You won't be disappointed! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! To say I was blown away is an understatement! The food arrived quickly, hot, and full of flavor. The service was outstanding—our waiter, Edwin T, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. Edwin even refused a tip and took off dessert on our bill. So thoughtful and selfless 😍 The sizzling brownie pictured below was just the cherry on top! Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian food with top-notch service!
My wife and I love Indian food and decided to try a new restaurant on Thanksgiving. We went to Lime and Lemon Indian Grill. Our server Edwin T was very helpful and kind recommending the Mango Lime chicken for me and Tofu Tikka Masala for my wife. We also got two kinds of Naan, Chili Paneer and Gobi Manchurian. The food was delicious, service was great and the restaurant was bright and comfortable. We also enjoyed the atmosphere, it was full of people but not noisy like many other restaurants have been. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant! Thank you!
We have eaten here many, many times - both take out and eat in - and it’s always amazing! Every dish I’ve had is delicious, and the cocktails are often really special. Edwin has been my server several times and is so thoughtful, warm, and attentive. Highly recommend!
My son and daughter-in-law took us to Lime & Lemon in Chapel Hill, and we had an absolute blast. The food and drinks were amazing, and our waiter Edwin, who we had already heard so much about, completely lived up to the hype. He made the whole experience even better with his great service. We definitely recommend Lime & Lemon to anyone spending a weekend in Chapel Hill. You won’t be disappointed, and don’t forget to ask for Edwin!
Cannot explain how delicious and amazing the service was here. Came with a group of college students and Edwin was a FANTASTIC server. Literally cannot wait to come back!! He was so kind, offered great meals, and ensured our rice and water was filled the entire time. The atmosphere is amazing. Great date night spot with a group of friends, or just one on one!!
First thing to say: Service. Our server, Edwin, did such a phenomenal job with recommendations, we will definitely be coming back. He had everything out super quickly even though it was relatively busy and was so energetic that it made the food taste even better. The food and atmosphere were top tier but the service is unbeatable.
Was happily surprised! The atmosphere was delightful, upscale and clean. Everything was beautifully branded too, without being overwhelming (great use of the yellow and green from the lime & lemon name, with the dark black wood). The food was very good! I wouldn't say it was "blow my mind" but it was solid, delicious, TASTY Indian cuisine! We ordered: Samosa Chaat (soooo good) Parota (superb) Garlic naan (delicious) Tandoori Chicken Tikka (yummy) Channa Masala (fantastic) Our waiter, Edwin, was awesome and deserves every bit of these five stars. He was attentive and kind, and even gave us a suggestion for the next time we come around (mango lime chicken).
Both the food and service were excellent! Edwin was our server and he made great suggestions for both appetizers and entrees. He was right on! We really enjoyed our visit.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Edwin was a fantastic server and had amazing recommendations for us to eat family style so we could try a little bit of everything. Great food, lovely atmosphere, great service. Highly recommend!
Good Indian restaurant to enjoy the various delicious Indian cuisine. Service is fast and friendly. The chicken 65 and fried orka are definitely delectable. The Curry dishes can be quite spicy. Liked the mango lassi which is so good. There is a good bar in one section of the restaurant too.
This was our first time trying Lime and Lemon after having been recommended by a friend! Our server, Edwin, was very nice and attentive. Our food was the perfect spice level and very yummy. We will be back!
Delicious! One of the top 2 best Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at. Our server, Edwin was very helpful making recommendations, especially since I have a gluten and dairy allergy. Also, mixed drinks are delicious. We will definitely be going back!
We had a great dinner and overall experience at Lemon & Lime in Chapel Hill. All of our food was outstanding and the drinks were delicious too. However, as good as the meal was, it was the service that was truly incredible. Edwin was amazing; great recommendations, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Super great place! We’ve been probably five or six times before and it’s always stellar. I usually get the lamb rogan josh (forgot to take a pic, oops) and garlic naan. Both are always super good. Tonight we also tried the knockout chicken and Malabar fish curry. They were also very great. Our server Edwin was very kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and even brought fresh rice when I asked for a box to take my food home. Always a great spot for lunch or dinner!
We came on Valentine’s Day 2026 and we had an amazing time. Food was very good and out service was amazing. Our server Edwin was very polite and gave us good recommendations as this was our first time trying Indian food.
Edwin is the best!!! He gave us great recommendations and was so much fun! We had the butter chicken, mango lime chicken, and rosemary naan and everything tasted amazing. Will definitely be back!
This has been our favorite Indian spot for years. We have had Edwin as our server many times and his attentiveness and gentle spirit is a pleasure to be around. He always attuned to your needs and offers suggestions. The food is always delicious. Highly recommend this spot and Edwin!
Based on so many great feedbacks and google reviews ,4.9 to be exact ,we too couldn’t wait to go check out Lime and Lemon Restaurant like many others. We went to the spacious beautiful Chapel Hill location. To start with, the Mocktails were made with fresh ingredients and so refreshing. We had the Jal jeera and the Mango One Followed by the appetizer Knock out chicken,Gobi Pepper Fry ,Mutton Chukka and 💖Bombay Lamb Chops (which I didn’t want to but had to share with my family lolz) Each dish is mastered and made to perfection.Hats off to the Chef .The Bombay Lamb Chops and Mutton Chukka were certainly our most favorite. The chops were neither rare nor overcooked . The goat meat in the Chukka was very fresh .Taste ,smell ,texture made us feel it is made without any refrigeration…that kind of fresh. What’s most impressive is the recipes had no food colors ,no MSG,minimal oil ,no overpowering whole or powdered spices which can be quite annoying and don’t let you enjoy the dish . There was another unique dish Mango and Lime chicken, best for folks who like subtle mild flavors . I am very picky and quite critical about the desserts (Orange Delight and Paan Kulfi) as that’s my field of expertise but trust me they were perfect .Amazingly creamy and very natural in taste ,so 10/10 for that . Our family agreed that this was the best Indian food we ever had in the Traingle in the last 6 years of our stay. Starting from the ambience, presentation, serving time ,attention, the cleanliness, the service, portions, taste ….everything was top notch. We can’t wait to come back and try other dishes. L&L you get the brownie points for using eco-friendly packaging . Thank for this mind-blowing experience. People are already in awe of this place and so are we.
We came to this place on accident and I’m happy we did. Moe was our server and he was great. He made ordering feel casual and like I was ordering from a family member. The food was clearly made with love. Everything was good. So many vegan options. The drinks were tasty and strong. I look forward to coming back soon.
The food was amazing. So tasty and not too spicy. Edwin was an incredible server. Recommending dishes and making sure we were pleased. We love coming to this location!
Everything from the Gobi Manchurian and Chaat for appetizers and the naan sampler to the main dishes (butter chicken goat and saag ) were yummy yummy yummy. Edwin did well by us, with attention and shooters at the end plus condiments along the way. Definitely our local fave for both northern and southern Indian food
I had such a wonderful experience! The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented, but what truly made the evening special was our server, Edwin T. He was absolutely amazing, attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail of our dining experience was perfect. His recommendations were spot on, and he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine in the area, and if you have the chance, definitely ask for Edwin as your server. He truly elevates the experience!
Today we visited Lime and Lemon and the food was delicious with beautiful ambience. We were attended by Mr.Edwin T and his service was warm and welcoming. We ordered malai kofta, daal makhani and garlic naan. Everything was tasty. Thank you team for this amazing hospitality.
Edwin T was our waiter and the entire experience was amazing. I was going to get the buttered chicken but there was a suggestion from Edwin for the Mango chicken and wow that was amazing. I loved my meal and my mother enjoyed her’s. Overall thank you all.
Heard such good things about this place and had to try it! It was absolutely delicious. The mango lime chicken was insanely good and will definitely be returning. The service was incredible too! Our server Edwin was so kind and gave us complementary sodas to take home with our leftovers which was awesome! 10/10 recommend.
Absolutely loved it!!! Abhi was the best server and suggested the best meal for me. He suggested madras chicken curry. Update: Second trip better than the first! Update: Third trip better than the first 2!!! Celebrated my Birthday here and Edwin T. made it very special as we all (5 people) wanted to try several different and new entries... Best Food I've had since visiting Nepal last year! Thank you for making my Birthday Special!!! Thanks Edwin!
This is the most delicious Indian food I’ve ever had the a pleasure of eating. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was phenomenal. Our server Edwin, was exceptional, so attentive and kind. He recommended the mango lime chicken and it was amazing— we even ordered more to take home. The drinks were perfect, not too sweet and Edwin gave us a few extra Galub Jamun for desert which was heavenly. It was well worth the cost for the food and the whole experience that came with it, and I will be returning very soon!
I went to Lime and Lemon with a group of colleagues and we were given an exceptional experience. Edwin took phenomenal care of us, offering curated suggestions and taking extra care to go above and beyond service wise with a great sense of humor. The bartender made our second round of cocktails unique for each of us after coming to our table to speak with us - not because we asked but because the level of care from the staff was so genuine. The food options were plentiful and all our dishes were flavorful and prepared with quality. They met our party's varying spice preferences and the dish suggestions were delicious! Additionally, the cocktails were fresh, tasting like the fruit and juices had been picked/prepared that day. Natural ingredients rather than pre-prepared mixes or syrups really made the cocktails a standout. The music and overall atmosphere was fun, modern, and inviting. This spot is definitely on my top list of places to eat in Chapel Hill now and I'll be back!
It took many years of trying Indian restaurants since moving here from the West Coast to finally find one we love. Can't say enough great things about this spot. We have been here four times so far, tried many different dishes and are never disappointed. Edwin has been our waiter each time and always takes great care of us. The food is made from scratch and cooked by the families who own it. Highly recommend !
The food is spectacular! Authentic seasoning and traditional Indian dishes that are so tasty and comforting. Our server, Edwin, was very helpful and suggested the mango lime chicken which was absolutely delicious! I had the coastal fish curry with mild spice and it was perfectly balanced with tons of fish. The portions are generous, so with 2 samosas to start, we’re stuffed! Their takeout orders looked busy, but I’m glad we dined in because the service is very fast and friendly and the ambiance is modern and fun
My time in grad school in Chapel Hill is coming to an end and so are the opportunities to eat at Lime and Lemon. I will miss this place a lot and would recommend it to anyone visiting Chapel Hill. For the past four years, Edwin has fed me and my friends well every time we dined in. We’ve run into a few of our classmates along the way and he has fed them just as well! The service is always so quick, we’re always being provided free and ample basmati rice refills, and he always declines tips because of our student status. He even treats us to free samples of malai and mango lassi. The price for the amount of food is also very fair. It truly feels like eating at your relatives’ house. This place is authentic and has a great selection of really great classic Indian dishes. This place has been a go-to spot in the past four years and I will be leaving this city thinking about it even in the setting of the really wonderful Indian restaurants back in the Bay Area! Please support this restaurant!!!
The food was absolutely delicious, our server Edwin was perfectly attentive and all of the dishes came out at the same time in less than 10 minutes. The menu had a variety of mild, medium, and hot options and the mild dish was perfect without being bland! Atmosphere was good too, with ambient lighting and good music along with the beautiful interior decorations. would definitely recommend
Lime & Lemon has delicious food and generous portions. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing service from Edwin who recommended that I tried the Mango Lime chicken. As a person who has typically ordered chicken tikka masala, the mango lime chicken has been upgraded to my favorite dish! Warm, fragrant, with a balance of spice and sweetness. Thanks to Edwin and the whole team at Lime & Lemon. It is truly one of my favorite spots and a gem in Chapel Hill!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Lime and Lemon, Chapel Hills and I was thoroughly impressed. The service was exemplary. From the moment we entered, the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The menu was extensive and had plenty of choice, both for vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The quality of the food was excellent and the presentation was beautiful. The drinks menu had plenty of choice, from both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Overall, I had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Indian dining experience.
Food is authentic, herby and a beautiful spicy balanced flavor. If you're heat shy, order the mild to medium. We did and the food was amazing, but since I really like heat and spice next time I'll order the hot! Our server was very professional and gave us excellent advice on what to order. Ask for Edwin and he will no doubt give you excellent service too. If you love Indian food, this is a must eat place. We will be back.
We have come many times and each time we walk away saying how delicious the food was. Edwin has been our server multiple times and always gives great recommendations and makes sure we are happy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious food!
My family and I dined here for the first time and we will definitely return again and again. We ordered a lot of food, as we wanted to sample a variety. Everything we tried was amazing! Our server, Edwin, was so friendly and very attentive. He wanted to be sure that we enjoyed the food and the experience. We did! Edwin was wonderful! If you are looking for delicious food and friendly staff, Lime and Lemon is a must!!
This is my favorite place to be. I have been to many restaurants of many varieties and I have yet to find a place quite like this. The environment is beautiful with a quiet and pleasant interior and a welcoming exterior. And the food is beyond words. Every item on the menu is worth three times its value and you will be in awe every single bite. The service is impeccable. You won’t find a single restaurant that serves you as quickly and perfectly as they do. Everyone is super welcoming and very very kind. Edwin in particular is one of the most amazing men I have met. He is a very kind person who recognizes me everytime I dine here and always makes our time more enjoyable. The atmosphere is so calming that I almost feel at home. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone of any age and any taste. This is the perfect restaurant and I will always be waiting to return.
This was my first time visiting Lime &Lemon restaurant. The waiter Edwin was great, he was patient and help me decide on what i wanted to eat. I am a vegetarian and they had so many wonderful options. Edwin recommendation was great. This was some of the best food I have had in a long time
This was my second time after a 2 year hiatus from Lime and Lemon, and it was absolutely delightful. Our party of 2 was well taken care of by Edwin. He provided great recommendations and the food tasted even better. We were quickly seated at a table and made to feel very welcome. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend a meal at Lime and Lemon.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Lime & Lemon in Chapel Hill, NC! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of great energy. The food was incredible, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, but what truly made the evening unforgettable was the outstanding service. Our server, Bharath, was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. He went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed every moment. The manager, Prakash, also took the time to check on us personally, which really showed how much they care about their guests. They made my birthday extra special by surprising me with a beautiful Happy Birthday platter, and it honestly meant so much! The entire team helped create a memorable celebration filled with great food, excellent service, and genuine hospitality. If you’re in Chapel Hill and looking for amazing Indian cuisine with top-tier customer service, Lime & Lemon is definitely the place to go. I will absolutely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Lime & Lemon Indian Grill & Bar in Chapel Hill! From the moment we sat down, Edwin T took exceptional care of us. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made fantastic recommendations. His service truly elevated the entire evening. The food was outstanding. The mango lime chicken was perfectly balanced — sweet, tangy, and packed with flavor. The Karaikudi chicken korma was rich and beautifully spiced with incredible depth, and the chana masala was hearty, comforting, and full of authentic flavor. Every dish came out fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into each dish. Between the amazing food and Edwin’s top-notch service, this was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Chapel Hill. We will absolutely be back!!
Edwin was the perfect server for our lunch here. He was intuitive in knowing when our party was ready to order, or needed more time, and made helpful suggestions on what to order. The food here was the best Indian food I have had, and I would drive the 30 min from home just to come here! Naan was cooked perfectly, and the mango lime chicken was our favorite. Butter chicken was also the best I've had. Thank you, Edwin!
Lime and Lemon in Chapel Hill delivered one of the best meals my wife and I have had in the area—hands down the best Indian food we’ve had so far. We ate there Monday, January 5 2026. We started with two appetizers: Pav Bhaji (mild) and Samosa Chaat (medium). The Pav Bhaji came with two pieces of bread, toasted with butter and herbs. It was rich, deeply flavorful, and finished with just a subtle kick. Excellent. The Samosa Chaat—recommended by our server, Valen—was the standout of the entire meal. It’s almost hard to describe in the best way possible: creamy, layered, and incredibly balanced, with a chutney-forward profile and a coconut curry undertone. Inside were crispy pieces of fried samosa and perfectly cooked chickpeas, topped with crunchy pav. It was over-the-top good, and my first time having this dish. By this point we were already full, but we had ordered on empty stomachs, so entrées and garlic naan were still on the way. The naan tasted like it came straight out of a tandoor—crispy on the bottom, buttery and soft on top. For entrées, we ordered the Chicken Malai Korma and the Madras Chicken Curry. The korma was aromatic and smooth, with sweet coconut flavors and tender chicken breast. The Madras curry leaned spicy and earthy, and the chicken thigh was melt-in-your-mouth tender. We also ordered cocktails. The Road to Kerala reminded me (as a FLA native myself) of a Painkiller—coconut, lime, pineapple, and rum—and hit the right notes. It was a nostalgic taste for me. The Bangalore Old Fashioned was served over a single large ice cube topped with toasted coffee beans. After dinner, Valen surprised us with complimentary dragon fruit and vodka shots, which were a great finishing touch and definitely a big surprise (hats off to Valen!!) Overall, the food was easily a 9.5 out of 10 and the service a perfect 10/10 (Valen was warm, welcoming, accommodating, and always on-hand in our dining area). I couldn’t be happier with what we ordered (mostly took home!). To put it in Chapel Hill terms, the flavors rival Bluebird, and the service rivals Osteria Georgi—a strange comparison for an Indian restaurant, but absolutely earned. We will be back.
Went last night because I was craving indian food and a colleague had recommended them and it was lovely! I had the chicken tikka masala because I was craving a warm tomato-based sauce and it was lovely. I appreciated that mild does not mean "no spice"! Edwin our server was very kind and made great suggestions about their specials including their 17-day marinated mango-lime chicken, yum! The garlic naan was also so fluffy and tasted great dipped in my tikka sauce. We are definitely glad to have found a place nearby to get great indian food and will be back!
Edwin T was our server and he was THE BEST! Every recommendation was spot on! The drinks he recommended were delicious and something I would never order for myself. Pink city jaipur and the aam aadmi which was surprisingly very delicious, had a spice that hit the tongue just right. The knock out chicken is a must try! Over all great experience. Thank you Edwin T.
We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving at Lime and Lemon in Chapel Hill. The inside was spacious with modern decor. The food was delicious: highlights included the mango lime chicken, chili garlic mushroom, vegetable cutlet, Gobi 65, garlic naan, and lamb rogan josh. Finally, our waiter, Edwin, was absolutely phenomenal. He treated my 4 year old niece to so many extra goodies, including a mango lassi, plain noodles, and vanilla ice cream. His service was truly exceptional. My niece said it was the best Thanksgiving ever! Thank you Edwin and the staff at Lime and Lemon in Chapel Hill!
Amazing experience at Lime & Lemon! My boyfriend and I had such a great time here. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Our waiter, Edwin, was wonderful—super friendly, attentive, and he gave us really great menu suggestions that we ended up loving. The whole atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and everything came out quickly. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Highly recommend checking it out!
We absolutely looove this place and this location!! This was my first time, but my daughter and her boyfriend are regulars. The food was outstanding!! It is hands down the BEST Indian food I’ve ever had. The service was just as impressive!! The staff was friendly and very attentive. Our server, Edwin gave us some awesome suggestions which turned out to be our new favorite dishes. I definitely plan to return on my next visit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing experience.
I wanted to try a new style of food so I visited Lime and Lemon Indian Grill and told my server Edwin I’m new to Indian food, have a gluten allergy and don’t like spicy food. What a guest! He was very kind and helped guide me to a choice that worked for me (of which there were many!). I got the Mango Lime chicken he recommended and it was exceptional! The food was excellent, service was great and it’s a lovely restaurant. Will be back and would recommend!
Holy smokes! This place is amazing. I had the vegetable samosa, chicken jalfreze, the GOC Margarita with my appetizer and a Mango Martini for dessert. My tastebuds have never loved me more. In addition, the service was outstanding. I had lunch at the bar, my bartender/server was Abhi. He had excellent suggestions, was knowledgeable of the menu, and was so kind. I will definitely be back to try different items!!! Namely the lamb tikka masala and the butter chicken. <3
We had an amazing experience at the bar, thanks to the friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing, and creative bartender, Pravin! Mahalo for the incredible hospitality! We went back two nights in a row! I highly recommend this place for the best South Indian food. 🙏🏽 If you are near Chapel Hill, NC, don’t hesitate to eat and drink here!
Service and experience were out of this world !! We had Pravin as our bartender and server. He made us feel welcomed and really enjoy our food and drinks. There was never a dissatisfaction at all once so ever having him. He recommended amazing food and drinks to try as well. 10/10 do recommend coming here and you will not be disappointed. We have decided to come back again tomorrow !
Had the Weekday Lunch Special and it was absolutely amazing. The perfect blend of spice and flavor. My server, Edwin, was kind, soft spoken and had the perfect balance of being available, while also being patient while I looked at the menu. You can't beat the price for the food, especially because I had enough to take some home with me! At first I wished I could have picked the appetizer, entree, and dessert choices, but what is included was absolutely fantastic and I left very satisfied.
Quite big and well maintained place. Food was not as great as the other Lime and Lemon branch they have in Raleigh but drinks were great and service was quick. I would highly recommend this place when you have a big gathering. Don't forget to book a table, it gets quite busy on weekends..
We were a party of four ladies here for lunch for a birthday celebration. Edwin was a FABULOUS server. He was polite, prompt and spot on with the food suggestions. He surprised our friend with a beautiful birthday dessert plate and gave us all samples of their AMAZING made-in-house ice cream. I've never had a bad dish here. The price is just right. Highly recommend if you like Indian cuisine.
Outstanding! Our waiter Edwin was very helpful in explaining the dishes and providing recommendations starting with a MAKA Indian beer. We followed his advise and were very pleased with the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Mango Lime Chicken dishes. Very friendly staff. Ample seating in. Plenty of parking on premises. Highly recommended
Made the trip out to Lime & Lemon for a date night after hearing it was the best Indian in The Triangle and it did not disappoint! Staff was very friendly - great service and even better food. We sat at the bar where Abhi made us custom drinks (they were delicious) and recommended the Mango Lime chicken which was superb. We also had the gobi manchurian (best we’ve had in NC), mutter paneer, chicken korma, all accompanied by paneer kulcha (don’t miss!) and garlic naan (iconic). Thank you Abhi!
We came to this lovely restaurant for my sister’s birthday. Our waiter Edwin was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very friendly. We absolutely LOVED the atmosphere and the food and drinks. We will definitely be back. I don’t know how I forgot to take a picture of my goat biryani but it is a must try.
I’m a full time road-tripping traveler who has criss-crossed the country a few times in the last few years, but this is my first time in the Chapel Hill, North Carolina area. My friend Martha treated me to lunch at the Lime and Lemon Grill and Bar, citing that it was her favorite Indian restaurant here in Chapel Hill. The experience did not disappoint. My favorite Indian dish is chicken tikka masala, so that’s what I started to order, but our server encourage me to try the mango lime chicken. He promised that if I didn’t love it, he would not charge me and would bring me my initial choice. (Well played Edwin, well played!) Martha also ordered the chicken tikka masala, but substituted paneer in place of the chicken. We also enjoyed cocktails – a Pink City for Martha and a Cochin Countryside for me. (My cocktail was ok, but it didn’t knock my socks off.) We also ordered a side of garlic naan. Hands-down, it was the best garlic naan I’ve ever had in my entire life. I literally swooned at the table (embarrassing, but true). The mango lime chicken was so delicious that it almost caused me to have a mouth orgasm.(I’m not kidding!) The decor and ambience was equally phenomenal- the yellow makes the place pop without being overwhelming or obnoxious. Heck, I even loved the way the menus looked- very classy! Everything about this lunchtime experience was top-notch. My recommendation: Go there! Eat the food, drink the drinks, enjoy your life. And ask for Edwin T., he was a top notch server!
It was my family’s first time trying Indian food, except for my oldest daughter. We didn’t know what to expect but Edwin made it easy for us. He was very attentive and made sure the spice level was good for each of us. He was excellent!! The food was absolutely delicious! Even my dad, who is a critic of every restaurant, had only good things to say. He loved it!! Definitely a great experience!
I normally do not write a review. But this exceptional experience I had to share. The atmosphere, food and drinks was one of the very best we ever had. The Salmon Tiki Marsala was cook perfectly and delcious. Our server, Edwin was awesome and gave us a lot of recommendations since it was our first time there. Overall, just an amazing night out for dinner. Definitely worth the drive from Cary to Chapel Hill.
Delicious chicken lunch combo, very filling. You select the type of meat and they chose everything else. Soft drink was either coke or diet coke (no other options) but i don't drink soda and they accommodated with unsweet tea. It had some type of infused flavor that I wasn't expecting so I just drank the water. 😆 My lunchmates got the lamb and vegetarian combo and they enjoyed their meals as well. I woukd definitely do this again.
Staff is polite. Service is prompt. Ambience is good. Strictly from a taste perspective I found them to be okay-ish. Not bad, but not the best Indian food out there. The paneer based appetisers and entrees could be better. My friends ordered non-vegetarian and they had the same feeling about their food.
This is a really popular Indian restaurant and on a Wednesday evening it was packed but not a single South Asian customer in sight which is always telling. The food was very mild for my taste and we were not offered a choice of spicyness. Service was off with our appetizer not being served until we asked where it was. Our mains arrived two minutes after the starters so timing was a bit off. That aside a lovely modern restaurant with a huge bar and wine selection - I prefer a more authentic experience rather than a toned down offering.
I am very surprised how this restaurant has been able to get 4.9 stars. In my experience, this restaurant does not deserve more than 1 star. Food came in less than 5 minutes which tells me everything is heated in a microwave. Service is non existent. Recognise we came late and everyone is standing there with bags packed for us to leave. Don’t seat us if you cannot treat your customers. Absolutely horrible. Would not recommend to anyone.
Dinner VEGETARIAN AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. It was one of the good restaurant in my list but the recent experience is worst and VEGETARIAN need to be avoided at any cost. I visited this place for Dinner on FEB 14 2026 and they had a big waiting queue. FIRST WORST Experience - Finally they gave us a table near the rest room and noisy, which was annoying. SECOND WORST Experience - When requested they told there are lot of people are waiting and will give preference to booking and you can wait. As soon as the table available he gave us a table which is really good and surprising part is he told you need to make it quick before heading to the table itself. THIRD WORST Experience, AVOID AT ANY COST - We order a pure vegetarian and non alcoholic drink, The waiter came with some CHICKEN SAMOSA and Something with CHICKEN APPETIZER. I told it is not our order and we didn't order. He told no, it is your order. Even telling twice he refused and finally he took and went back. Now comes our order we order "Kurkere BHINDI" & "GOBI FRY". The waiter came and gave BHINDI and gave MUSHROOM FRY. I told thats not our order. He asked what did you order and we told GOBI FRY. He told this is GOBI FRY Only and not MUSHROOM. I am Allergic to MUSHROOM and i dont eat mushroom. After taking the first bite i realized it is not GOBI and i called and told. The waiter came and told mam, I am extremely sorry the kitchen guys told It is GOBI FRY. Weird he doesn't even know what he is getting. THE WEIRD WORST EXPERIENCE And PURE VEGETARIAN People avoid this RESTAURANT AT ANY COST. We ordered "Panner Tikka Masala " & GARLIC NAAN. Paneer Tikka didnt had any cream and looked like a plain TOMATO CURRY and NAAN was so THICK looks like a frozen one. I have had couple of times and never faced any issues. Surprising part is when i had 2-3 bites, we FOUND CHICKEN or SOME MEAT in PANEER TIKKA MASALA i was shocked and when i called. The waiter is like mam, so much crowd and in the hurry they might have mixed MEAT in Vegetarian curry. It shocked me like anything. I AM RELIGIOUSLY VEGETARIAN this took me off and he told he will change. What is the point now will i be able to TRUST THEM, NEVER. I told we are done and left the place. AS SOON AS I Went out i VOMITED 3 TIMES just outside in the parking. WORST WORST WORST EXPERIENCE. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. PICTURES attached for reference including the MUSHROOM FRY WRONG ORDER , then GOBI FRY and PANEER TIKKA MASALA With MEAT in it.
