The cheese fries burger was very good. The Chicago dog while not topped like a normal chicago dog still tasted good. Fries were also really tasty. The customer service is surprisingly good for such a buzy place.
The dogs are fantastic - so many choices and varieties. Burger are on point and the “Sup Dog” sauce goes on everything!
Sup dogs is a really fun restaurant on Franklin Street with lots of hot dogs and burger options and tasty drinks. The wait staff and management are very friendly and upbeat. We all enjoyed our food and watching the football game.
Came in for lunch and we were super pleased with our food and service! Some of the best chili we have ever had. We had the slaw burger, slaw dog, and chili cheese dog. I also had a cherry limeade crush drink and the juice was fresh squeezed and definitely tasted like it. Great drink!
My daughter took me here to grab a bite for lunch after moving her in to an apartment all morning! I thoroughly enjoyed and inhaled my meal a Hawaiian Burger, 2 NC hotdogs and onion rings, hit the spot! Did not disappoint, will be back. Also, our waitress was the Sweetest and so attentive. Place was packed but we were still served very quickly and checked on multiple times. Nice job! Will be back. Prices are very reasonable too.
I've been craving good hot dogs for several days. I ordered Sup Dogs for delivery. I wasn't sure how well the dogs would keep in transit but boy did they hit the spot and arrived beautifully wrapped!
Sup Dogs was great!!! Came in on a crowded friday night and got served right away. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and cheese fries and the food was legit. I received generous portions and delicious food. The cheese fries were great - especially when dipped in the ranch or special sauce (as pictured). The Chicken sandwich was tossed in an appropriate amount of buffalo sauce and was the perfect density. Altogether the food was a 5/5. My review should really be a 4.5/5 because I do have one complaint. My food was $17. For someone looking for an affordable option- this is definitely not it. I understand I got cheese fries but the prices still seem a little steep to me. Most hotdogs are over $8 here as well. If you have the money to spend here, the food definitely won’t let you down, just think it’s a little high. The atmosphere makes up for the pricing if you have plenty of time to spend or go in with friends on a game night/ weekend night.
Sup Dogs! Warning!!! Don't skimp on the napkins. This little hole in the wall dog and burger joint is the epitome of local delights. With their homemade chili, hand smashed burgers and all beef hot dogs you're in for a treat for your tongue. The long fries are cooked to perfection crispy on the outside soft and decedent on the inside. Dip them in the sup dog sauce and man oh man have you got a delicious combo. Prices are mid-range for a burger stop but worth every penny. Their in house brewed sweet tea is refreshing. I had the bacon cheese fries burger and my wife had the slaw burger. Yes you read that right bacon cheese fries on top of a 1/3 pound fresh beef burger patty. The hardest part of the whole experience was deciding what to order, every thing looked and sounded delicious. Will be going back!
I was in the Chapel Hill area and decided to visit the same place we went to when we toured the college for the first time. My son suggested I try the chicken sandwich, so I tried the hot honey BBQ chicken sandwich, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. I'm definitely planning to return soon to give their hot dogs a try.
Their hot dogs are so yum and tummy filling You pay $2 and can add an extra order of hot dog Their toppings are really good and well curated menu. Love their sauce, fries and onion rings My fav is Chicago dog.
Me and my grandfather went for lunch and dinner today. We got burgers for lunch, hotdogs for dinner. Both were excellent. Our waitress, Courtney was impeccable. We will be coming back every time we visit Chapel Hill.
After bopping around town to find dinner, my partner and our out-of-town guest ended up at Sup Dogs. We were treated kindly and with patience. Loved the drinks and simple menu. Of course, it’s bar food. But it’ll do. Service was great and we were able to sit outside.
7/10/2021 first time bk since COVID. So glad it’s still as good as we remembered. Our meals were just as we hoped. Staff was attentive and seems like the tables are more spaced out. 2/2020 Finally was able to stop in for an early lunch. We were not disappointed! 1st of all I thought it looked like a small place from the outside, but once we walked in, we were happily surprised to see it was a good size restaurant and there is table service. Food was delicious and totally worth the calories. I look forward to the next time already.
What’s not to love about Sup Dogs? Very friendly staff and Kelsey, my waitress, had great customer service! I’m a Duke fan and raised in NC, so when I saw how close this was to the UNC hospital, where my mom is at the time, I HAD to try it. Good thing I didn’t wear a different blue shirt. This place is DECKED out in Carolina. I went on a Sunday and it was perfect. You pick where you sit, FYI, and my slaw dog combo came out super fast. Decent amount of food, for the price. I also had the “orange crush” which they literally make right there with a fresh squeezed orange. If you’re on the fence about trying it, I assure you, it’s a must try! I will be back.
I’ve had a mostly great experience at Sup Dogs on Franklin Street. The vibes are always top-notch, especially when Jesse is working—he really sets the tone, keeps the atmosphere lively, and the music always complements the mood. The food is delicious, and the service is generally fantastic. However, I had a less-than-ideal interaction with one of the female waitresses. When I tried to give her a tip and simply asked for her name, she dismissed me quite rudely, and said “I don’t have a name”, which was disappointing. It was a bit off-putting, and while I still enjoy the place, that experience brought my “ Service rating” down from five stars to four. Overall, Sup Dogs remains a fun spot with great food and amazing energy, especially thanks to Jesse. Just be prepared for the occasional less-than-friendly interaction.
Hotdogs and hamburgers is what this place is all about. I have not tried their burgers but had their Hotdogs and fries and they are the best around. Now you can only do so much with the dogs themselves so it's all about the toppings and the hotdog chilli is best around. The fries were perfect, hot, crisp... what could you want more !
Took the family for lunch and by FAR the best hot dogs in Raleigh!! Try the one with chili, BBQ sauce, and topped with onion rings! Yum!! The boneless buffalo wings as well as the cheese and bacon fries were fresh and delicious and holy cow, the pizza fries was an amazing flavor combination! Fresh red oak beer on tap was delicious and the service was top-notch. Food was delivered fast and very fresh and well not the cheapest, definitely was worth every penny. Fantastic job guys!?
Restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. Our server was Deepesh and the service was excellent, very accommodating and made great recommendations. The food was excellent as well, my friend and I were left more than satisfied with the quality.
Absolutely fantastic. I’ve had a lot of Indian cuisine in my life and this is by far the best I’ve had in the USA. The butter chicken biryani was excellent and our server Deepesh was incredibly welcoming and kind. I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone in (or far from) the area. As you can see from the photos, we could not stop eating and there was enough to take home. 100/10
We had a great time dining in at Zayka! Our server, Deepesh, did a great job providing excellent service and ensuring our food came out well. He was very pleasant and friendly to interact with, he even invited us back for their special tiffin lunch menu! The food was also very authentic and delicious, highly recommend if you are craving some authentic, comfort indian food!
We were a party of two and both enjoyed the Butter Chicken and the Amritsari Khadai Chicken dish. The meals were aromatic and revealed the complexity of the spices and ingredients. The service by Deepesh and Sagar was prompt, and outstanding. We appreciate being so close to the chefs, who prepared the meals just behind our backs. The seating was very comfortable and the ambiance warm, not intrusive. We will definitely come back to share dinner with friends.
Did a pickup order this evening, and already looking forward to dinning in sometime soon. Food was flavorful, great level of spicy (they ask what level of heat we wanted), and absolutely delicious. The waiter suggested a different appetizer selection as the original appetizer I was considering wouldn't travel as well as others- better suited for in house service. Very helpful. Although we did a takeaway, the restaurant looked very comfortable and well decorated. I highly suggest giving Zayka a try- you will not be disappointed & I was thoroughly impressed.
Deepesh took such good care of us. We got a complimentary cracker and chutney wagon that was so delicious! The menu labels for Gluten-Free are not super accurate it seemed, but Deepesh got the chef to accommodate our celiac needs with a separate deep fryer. The mango shrimp was made GF for us and it was amazing! Bonus trumpet player outside was a nice touch when they opened the door for a bit to hear him play. Also, the beverages and cocktails were incredible! Highly recommend, plus they're open for the holidays.
Deepesh & Sagar were fabulous! They were kind, efficient & attentive! Deepesh was very accommodating, & Sagar was my server and very kind & talled me into eating something different. They have a wonderful Restaurant! Food was so good & Sagar told me to try a new item that I hadn't had before and I tried Chicken Korma and the Rajwadi Samosa! Loved both of them, I had a Hazy IPA & Kingfisher beers & the Cheese Garlic Naan bread! I will be back, what a great restaurant. Only bad thing is that I didn't realize that they were closed from 3 -4:30, And I felt so bad when I asked how long they were open, & he was kind and told me not to hurry, but I felt bad & got a togo container & bailed. DEEPESH also let me try a very small amount of one of their milk desserts that I had never had... so yummy! Now I know for next time! So if you are in the area, give them a shout out! MINNESOTA MICHELE ❄️
Had an amazing meal. Deepesh and Sagar waited on me and couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. They took time to explain the menu and give recommendations. Cocktails were strong, delicious, and reasonably priced. Food was amazing. Will definitely be dining here again.
This restaurant couldn't get any closer to the real, authentic thing. By far one of the best restaurants, let alone Indian restaurants, that I've had the privilege to dine at. The love the people who run this place have for the art of gastronomy is clear for all to see, with the thoughtful menu, serving dishes, open kitchen, and tasteful atmosphere. A fantastic place with even better food.
This place is a gem for anyone who loves Indian food! They absolutely nail the street food vibe with their Chhole Bhature—it’s just about as good as the iconic spots in Delhi. The sabzis are packed with flavor, and the naans are hands down the best we’ve had in this country. The ambience is lovely—perfect for a nice sit-down meal—and the staff are super friendly and attentive. Gaurav, in particular, went out of his way to make sure everything was just right for us. Great vibes, amazing food, and an all-around fantastic experience. Highly recommend this spot!
I visited this restaurant, and I must say, the experience was delightful from start to finish. The ambience is incredibly pleasant—warm, inviting, and just the right atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. As for the food, the chicken was absolutely fantastic—tender and juicy. The drinks were equally impressive, especially the Tamarind Ginger Margarita, which had a unique and refreshing kick, and the Tarbooj Twist, a perfect combination of sweet and tangy. For the main course I had a pressure cooker goat curry which was delicious.
The food was so delicious that we all 8 of us went to food comma. Service was 5 star! The hostess and the bartender made sure we had everything we needed. Great addition to the another Zyka! We ordered the sarso ka saag, malai kofta, dal bhukhara, tandoor salmon, amritsari chicken, naan, kukcha... everything was perfect!
Went there for dinner over weekend. Really good food and very courteous staff. Location is perfect. Indoor and outdoor seating. There is a parking lot in the back which makes it very convenient to park and walk to this place. We ordered samosas and Gobi Manchurian for starters and both were good. They offered papad and chutney sampler which was amazing. 6 different types of chutneys. I loved the beetroot chutney. Amritsari chicken curry was perfect. Lots of flavors and thick curry with tomato and onions base. Lasooni Dal tadka was amazing too. Garlic naan and tandoori naan were great too. Overall very good food and pleasant atmosphere.
Great experience at Zayka. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice, and the Naan was soft, fluffy, and perfect for soaking up every last bit of sauce. Drinks are super delicious and refreshing and very pleasing to the eye. What really stood out was the attention to detail and authenticity in every dish. You can tell the chefs put a lot of care and passion into their cooking. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, Zayka Indian Grill & Bar, is a fantastic new addition to Chapel Hill. If you're looking for a place to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a welcoming and stylish setting, this is it. I can't wait to come back and try more from their menu! Highly recommend!
The food I got to try were the Jalapeño Tator tots, veggie burger with cheesy tots, and the veggie hot dog with onion rings and their secret sauce. I also had a couple French fries to taste. The jalapeño tator tots were just tater tots topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, and chopped jalapeños. I will say that they were decent, but I was a bit disappointed as I love spicy food and the jalapeños they used were pretty mild. After tasting, I determined that the hot sauce they used was most likely Texas Pete. The veggie burger was really good. The patty itself was pretty savory and not too salty as some make them. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the patties are made in-house. The cheesy tots upheld its namesake -- tater tots with melted cheese on top. Tasted heavenly when paired with ranch or with mustard (or other dressing of your liking). The veggie dog had lettuce and cheese, a pickle under the wiener, and the wiener itself. It was cooked properly and tasted pretty good. Wasn't spectacular but definitely worth a try if you want to cut back on meat. The onion rings weren't the best I've tasted, but were still decent. They could make them better by frying them a bit longer or using a different type of breadcrumb mix (unless they use frozen onion rings). I was told that their "secret sauce" was suppose to be a mixture of various sauces. Take this as you will, but it pretty much just tasted like BBQ sauce. Finally, the service. I would say that for the level of crowded it was that the service was phenomenal. Both of the people who served us interacted with us and were friendly, even if we had come kinda late night and they were probably already working for some hours. Overall: some of the food was great, some was good, but I'm cutting a star because nothing was spectacular. Take that with a grain of salt though, I would definitely go here again, and I think it's worth a try if you live in the area or are visiting!
Are you ready to full, well this is the spot for you when have a taste for Hotdogs or Hamburgers. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. They haven't disappointed us yet. Just make sure you bring your appetite. You will be leaving here with the itis😆. The customer service here is good and you don have to wait long for food.
I always wanted to try sup dog. I happen to be in downtown today and decided to stop in. I tried the western hotdog. It was good. The rest of my party ordered and everybody ate everything. The nice thing about sup dog. Doesn’t cost a lot to sit down and eat. The food is good. They also make some interesting, frozen drinks. My server was excellent. Didn’t have to wait long for the food. If you’re in a hurry to have something hot to eat, that’s good and inexpensive in downtown Chapel Hill. Sup dog fills the build.
The food was good and the service was amazing and fast. My fav was chicken malai kabab. The breads were very soft too! I would recommend everyone to try here if they like Indian food. Thank you Deepesh and team!
I just wanna begin by saying this place looks good. It might be the best place for everyone else, but it’s not the greatest for me. I have tried three times I’ve tried the poori and chole tried the chicken 65 and the shrimp tandoor The first ever order was horrible, and I thought it was because That was the first week when they opened up and I thought it was maybe due to a rush I let it go recently. I ordered chicken 65 and it was terrible. The chicken smelled like it was kept outside and refried. No taste to it just fried oil dripping out. I contacted the store and deepak told me I could come in and get anything on the house the chicken 65 ran me about $20 On DoorDash I came in today To get my replacement meal sagar was helping me out at first he told me what did I want and I could look at the menu and after looking at the menu for about 3 to 4 minutes I picked out what I wanted and it was about 21 $ When I told him that’s what I wanted, he told me it can only be a certain price Closer to chicken 65 I kinda understood but I was Told I could get anything on the house so I would’ve just looked on the appetizer report if I knew there was a selection they wanted me to pick from I told him that was fine and if you could just take out the cost of the chicken 65 out of the Meal that I selected and I could pay the rest. The total was about like $23 The guy that handed me my food was the coolest guy ever I don’t know his name, but he was a great guy. I come home to look at my food I have five pieces of shrimp for 21$ I know I didn’t pay the whole price but still you’re gonna serve somebody five pieces of shrimp for $21 I could get a whole bucket Shrimp from Popeyes for less than 15 bucks I don’t know if they were profiling me and just didn’t care about my food as much, but they just filled it up with a lot of vegetables and topped it off with five pieces of shrimp Not to mention, the guy helping us check out, had a attitude, the whole time, huffing and puffing I kept it classy, and I kept it moving. I didn’t wanna come back and complain, but this was Outrageous🤣🤣 They won’t see my face back there The one in Raleigh is way better than this one. I don’t know if it’s the change of management or change of staff but Changes need to be made at this restaurant Thank you too Deepak And the guy that handed us our food great people no complain about them.
