Some of the best pizza I have had in Charlotte!! We live in the neighborhood and heard about Pizza baby opening and have been going consistently when we are in the mood for good oven baked pizza. Not to mention the Cesar salad is one of the best we’ve had and would highly recommend getting the whipped ricotta as an appetizer!! Besides how great the food is the ambience of the restaurant is so well done that we decided to host my baby shower here for a brunch/lunch for all of our guests. Working with the staff was a great experience and super easy to communicate and get everything set up. 10/10 I would highly recommend for just dinner or even hosting a party!!

The food and drinks were great. Our server was friendly but seemed new. We saw both thick pan style crust like on ours which was good but big. We also saw some regular style crust but the descriptions on the menu was confusing. The calzone was big and tasty. I've got plenty left. The deli sandwich was also big with lots of meat. I'm not much of a deli person but it was good also. The tea was not weak and had good flavor. My old fashion was good enough that I ordered a second one. We purposely ordered enough food to try different things and have enough food for another meal later.

Pizza Baby is a must if you’re in Charlotte. Delicious thin crust pizza, the best espresso, incredible appetizers and a nice laid back atmosphere. You can tell so much care and thought have gone into the ingredients- they are good for you and even better when combined into their menu items. Truly have never had better pizza! I personally loveddddddd the thin crust, but the Roman style was also delicious. The best pizza I’ve ever had- make sure you go!

A new pizza spot close to uptown and makes a great place for lunch or after office hangouts. The cocktail collection is tasteful, and they also have a couple of draft beers and bottler beers. I wish they had a bigger selection of draft beer options. The pizzas were very tasty and felt fresh. Crust is not too thick and almost felt like a flat bread but more airy. Rosemary is the one that I liked personally. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. Ambiance is perfect and rustic with a nice selection of music in the background. I would definitely recommend this place and a must try.

Finally tried Pizza Baby in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have to be honest, I was hesitant. I’m from New York City, born and bred and there really isn’t good pizza here. We got there and really enjoyed the ambience. It was a Monday night so it was kind of slow but they played really incredible music and had a great space. The service was fantastic. Our server Ryan was very attentive, efficient and gave us good recommendations. They had a pretty good special on Monday night for wine and beer. They had a decent drink menu also! The pizza was pretty good. We had the mother with pepperoni. Our only complaint is that there was a lot of crust. The burrata was delicious, and I have to say, the bread that came with it with some of the best I’ve had in Charlotte. I sort of wanted to order more bread, but I figured I would go back. The meatballs were awful. Probably one of the worst things I’ve eaten in Charlotte. They were dry and super salty. The bread that came with it though was unbelievable. Will definitely not order that again, but will definitely go back.

Let’s face it, pizza crust is an art; the texture, the flavor, the saltiness, the color, the size and shape, the smell, the process, the overall taste. These guys have mastered it! The crust is perfection. And then to serve that up with great staff in a gorgeous restaurant in an up and coming area … what more could you ask for? Highly highly recommend. My only complaint would be the music volume. Great music, and I’m all for the hip, energetic vibe, but just one notch down to make conversation a little easier.

Pizza Baby is worth the occasional pizza splurge to enjoy amazing homemade pizza with wine and/or spirits. Dining options include indoor and outdoor. The service is phenomenal and every patron seemed to enjoy their experience. This makes the pricey pizza worth it. I recommend going, especially to enjoy the outdoor patio.

Really nice spot. The building was nice, decor was fresh, spacing between seats was also good. Now down to the food. I love pizza. I’ve had pizza in many countries and in many cities right here in the ol US of A. I love all kinds of pizza, I love it so much if I could change my name to Pizza I would. This is to me, the best overall pizza I’ve had in Charlotte. The dough was sooooo good, crisp yet floppy. The toppings were fresh and fun and really really bomb. We ordered a white pizza and a red pizza and both were amazing. The crazy thing to me was when I ate a bite of the white and also a bite of the red at the same time, my tastebuds were so excited. The price was pretty high but you get what you pay for and it was so good. I think Inizio is still a close number 2 but Pizza Baby has now settled at the top of my personal pizza in Charlotte list.

Got take out from here twice. Both pizzas we ordered have been incredible. In fact, it’s probably the best we’ve found in Charlotte. Service is great too. My only complaint is the meatballs. $16 for 2 golf ball sized meatballs and a single piece of bread is crazy. Overall great addition to west Charlotte. I have a feeling this place will be a staple in the area for years to come.

Trendy pizza place that has a lot of items to choose from in their menu Service was friendly and prompt. Do not forget to order their cheese bread! It was amazing: think thick crusted bread completed smothered in cheese and garlic. It came with a tomato dipping sauce. The Roman style pizza was interesting. Tasty and fresh ingredients. What is Roman style? Technically, instead of the traditional tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, Roman-style pizza is often topped with a variety of ingredients such as cured meats, vegetables, and even eggs. The possibilities are endless, and each slice is a unique and delicious creation. This one in particular, instead of a pie, since we ordered two slices, was sort of a ciabatta bread with all the toppings on top of it. Their PLT sandwich was delicious too: fresh lettuce, crispy pancetta, medium sized tomatoes, some mayo. Truly refreshing and enjoyable! We sat outside as it was a nice early evening day but there was plenty of sitting inside.

CRUST: soft and crunchy with amazing air bubbles....get dips, wish we had. Because you will eat the crust. PIZZA: Very big, we each had 2 pieces with 3 leftover. Rosemary Pesto: the pizza was very tasty. The pesto was not over powering. The caramelized red onions were thin and added a hint of sweetness DRINKS: Perfect blend, we had the BFF old fashioned (spot on) and El Diablo (a little sweet with a hint of spice) SERVICE: A-one SALAD: Arugula-Bitter needed a fruit (maybe pear) to balance it out. I love pizza, and I'm an advid follower of anything Trey Wilson stamps. His new spot didn't disappoint at all. We did make reservations in advance, but the building is very spacious with loads of indoor and outdoor seating. Very large bar and large kitchen to view from the seating area. Wood benches and chairs, wish the settee had padding. We will be back. Wish they did lunch service

Favorite pizza in Charlotte hands down! All the bread / dough is naturally fermented so it’s similar to sourdough. Cocktails are also great, vibes are great and love that this is in the up and coming Wesley heights area. We’ve gotten the rosemary pizza a few times and it continues to amaze!

My husband & I stopped by for lunch and had a great experience! Highly recommend for lunch and dinner, perfect spot for a pizza date. We had ‘The Mother’ Pizza & loved it! 18” pie & we still had leftovers! All staff was so nice & welcoming, especially Steve! Great white wine & Ruby Rosa cocktail!! We will definitely be back soon!!

This was our first visit and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it. We created our pizza with sausage, pepperoni and onions...DELICIOUS we also had the garlic parm wings which were made perfectly...so good I forgot to take a picture. All ingredients are fresh and your pizza is made to order. ...their service is kinda slow but it's worth the wait.

The energy of the staff & food is— fresh, authentic and passionate. Set in a chill, industrial vibe with an immaculate music playlist. Palpable hospitality and quality food, all with a curated wine list highlighting locality. Wine bottles under ~$50. Pizza $12-25 and you share. Good pizza. If you know, you know. Amazing bacon wrapped dates. They opened 3 months ago. It’s a hot spot for a date night, group outings. I cannot wait to come back to see Steven and Ryan and have more pizza! Congratulations Pizza Baby!

Amazing addition to Wesley Heights! So excited you're here! We visit our kids who live here and Pizza Baby is always our go to! Not only is the pizza amazing (the Starsky is unreal) but the sandwiches are simply incredible! Must try! We walked here and picked up our order - didn't even wait to get home. Steven, the owner is a great guy and genuinely cares about his customers!

Pizza Baby has the best pies in the Charlotte area by far. The environment is fantastic and the staff is friendly and made me feel welcome as a guest. They use high quality and real ingredients and the pizza was cooked perfectly. 10/10

FINALLY! I’ve been searching for good pizza in Charlotte for the 13 years i’ve lived here…to literally no avail. No where has quality sauce, quality ingredients, and great crust…..until now. I was blown away by pizza baby. Do yourself a favor: pistachio pesto pizza with the hot honey is the order and don’t skip the soft serve. I felt transported out of charlotte for the brief time I was in there. Also the service was unbelievable too! Vinny was a whole vibe and so was the girl who waited on our table. 10/10.

Some of the best New York style pizzas in Charlotte! Loved the burrata and pesto pared with house made bread. There was a great variety of cocktails.

We are new in town and we’re looking for a pizza place, Pizza Baby is it! Oscar is amazing, he even let us try fresh Parmesan that he had imported from Italy! The food service and atmosphere can’t be beat!!!

Sourdough. Pizza. 👏🏻 I don’t think anyone else in the city is doing this style so you need to RUN. It’s absolutely incredible. Everything - the pizza, the salads, the ambiance, the service.. Super excited to add this to our rotation of date night spots.

It was the perfect spot to load up on pizza after touring wedding venues in the area! We enjoyed the cocktails we tried and both types of pizza. Our favorite was the islander. Tasty the next day too!

Someone who lived in NY for 14 years can hands down tell you that this place is Really REALLY REALLY good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bake sourdough at home and I know how time consuming it is to make a loaf of bread. Their sourdough pizza is so freaking delicious. We went for dinner and got their burrata, caesar salad and Rosemary pizza. Omg rosemary pizza is what you WANT! JUST ORDER IT and thank me later! I had dreams about rosemary 🍕. Can't wait to go back and try their other pizzas and food items! Make a reservation and go, you won't regret it!

Very good service. The food was good. We'll definitely revisit. We ordered a togo order and took back to the hotel. Nice friendly staff. Outdoor seating. Ample parking across the street.

Quality ingredients make all the difference here! The crust is amazing- amazing bread! The focaccia crust is thick, yet light and chewy all at the same time. The traditional crust is a perfect combination of crunch and chew, not too thick or thin. The toppings are just amazing- it is clear tbey use high quality ingredients. My favorite pizza had rosemary, basil, and pistachio- sounds strange but even the doubters at the table were impressed! The service was good, friendly, and efficient. We will definitely go back. If you’re on a budget, one “slice” of the Roman (focaccia style) which is about $12 would be more than enough for 1 person, and enough for 2 for people who enjoy modest portions.

We LOVE Pizza Baby's Catering! Not only was Tory incredibly friendly, organized and easy to work with, she made the experience personable and fun. The food was warm, delicious and ready to be served for our guests. They went above and beyond to ensure that our event went smooth. We cannot wait to partner with them again in the near future!

Wow what a great place! Pizza Baby on Thrift Rd is an absolute CLT favorite! Let me start by saying customer service is the best, I was lucky enough to have Alia (the best!) Jonathan (amazing person!), Reagan and James (manager)…they always go the extra mile to make us feel welcomed! However, everyone who works there is so nice, they all are a passionate, energetic and dedicated team! The place has a wonderful atmosphere inside and outside with a view! The food is amazing! Fresh ingredients. Great drinks as well. Every time I tell my friends about this place, they always follow up with a ‘Thank you, we loved it’ 💯 I recommend!!

First thing I have to say is that Tamika was excellent. You can't pay enough for service like hers. Secondly, the Pizza was really good we had the Starsky. I will put Pizza in the top 5 in Charlotte area (Geno D's, Finale Pizza, Bird Pizza, Meadow's Wood-Fired and now Pizza Baby!!!)

This has become a fan favorite for my friends and I after Pickeball at MLK park. People who know me know I’m picky about pizza, and this pizza is good. I also recommend getting dipping sauces for our crust!

My family and I discovered Pizza Baby when they first opened, and I am so glad to have them in Charlotte. When you have amazing people making incredible food with the best ingredients, that's magic... that's how food brings people together. Such a great experience! This is our go-to spot in Charlotte. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and check them out—you won't be disappointed!

We enjoyed Pizza Baby. We came on a Sunday night with our two children. Unfortunately they were under staffed but the team working was really doing their best so we decided to give them a pass. This is a really good casual pizza spot that is kid friendly. I definitely recommend giving it a shot. Spring salad: 4/5 - really good & would get again Bacon wrapped dates - 4.5/5 - will definitely order these again when we come back Meatballs: 4/5 - really solid Mother pizza: 4/5 (7.2 if you are Portnoy)

Pros: military discount Food was delicious Yahoo article rated them as the number 1 Pizza Place in the whole state of North Carolina Cons: After walking in the door and sitting for a while it wasn't until after I looked around like I was looking for a server is when the owner came over and asked me if I needed help at that time I told him nobody has waited on us and that we was ready to order. Come to find out our waitress was just over there standing doing nothing. Got to do better on the customer service

I’ve walked past several times and it’s always busy and smelled yummy so I wanted to check it out. We ate outside on the patio which was completely shaded for our evening meal. There were corn hole boards out at the bar next door and they were kind enough to let us play while we waited for our food. The pizza was delicious, a bit on the thin side which isn’t my favorite. Our server was very friendly and took good care of us. It was a rather pricy meal for 2 pizzas, cheese bread, and one cocktail though. I would definitely come back but probably not frequently.

S
Skylar Taylor

Super fun to watch them make your pizza! Prices were kind of high for small drink portions, however server was very informative and explained different pizza options and variations! Food tasted amazing! Traditional americano was a perfect airy, thin, but full crust. Everything tasted very well balanced and we throughly enjoyed our experience at this location!

The overall experience was great the food and all , Missed the pizza with the greens! It's no longer on the menu but should bring it back!!! I will recommend.

For me, the pizza is ok, the crust is definitely the star of the show here.  I got the Starsky, but it was lacking sauce, which kind of ruined it for me.  Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a pepperoni guy, but I'm also 'thrifty', so I was a little surprised that a pepperoni pizza ($15+$6 topping) was actually more than the Starsky (pepperoni, sausage, Calabrian chili for $20).  So I did the Starsky minus the chili.  I wish I would've done it minus everything but the pepperoni... They also cut their 14” into 4 slices, which I found very odd. I would have thought 6 or 8 slices… Our server was very nice, but it took over an hour to get our food. Parking spots are pretty tight around the building as well.

I absolutely love Pizza Baby. The only reason I am giving anything but 5 stars is because of the fact they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays. We live nearby and those actually tend to be the days we eat out the most and it’s always so disappointing when we realize it’s closed. I wish at least it was just 1 day! We want weekday pizza! ✊😄

Went to Pizza Baby West on a bit of a whim over the weekend, and my experience was a bit mixed. First off, the food was amazing! The pizza had a fantastic crust and a fresh flavor. It tasted authentic to a Sicilian recipe I once had as well, which was a pleasant surprise. I definitely agree that it is so far the best pizza in CTL I've tried. Where this place was lacking was in the service. I made a reservation, so getting in the door and seated was fast, but everything after was very slow. Getting drinks took about 7-10 min, and getting a simple pizza for dine in took ~40min. On top of that, just getting the check to leave took 10min. Aside from the slow service, the prices were all over the place. $15 for a 14" basic pizza is fair, but $5 a piece for soda in glass bottles (no refills or soda fountain) is robbery. The glass bottles are small too, so combined with the wait times for food, you can easily run out of drink before your pizza ever arrives. My advice is, go to Pizza Baby for to go orders only. Skip the hassle of a mediocre dine in experience.

Akram Hussain

Pizza and the menus items I tried are too over priced for what they are. I would call this NY Style for sure, but not the same as a true NY slice. My pie looked to be cooked perfectly, was either a little underdone, or the sauce was too watery making the dough underneath soggy. Bread products were over salted (heavy handed with the sprinkle salt), and Pesto Buratta was just not that great (bland in flavor, but plenty of salt). I was super excited to have a NYC pizza place here in Charlotte, but unfortunately this does not compare to the better (and cheaper) pizza found at Di Fara’s, a sister location to the famous spot from Brooklyn. I would still make the drive and recommend that over this one. Disclaimer: I don’t mind paying more for a great slice, but with that I feel the need to be more critical of the food, compared to something cheaper.

A
Andrea Reid

I was really looking forward to trying this place—the photos made the food look incredible. Unfortunately, the flavors didn’t live up to the presentation. The pizza crust and texture were fantastic, but the sauce lacked depth and flavor, leaving the overall dish underwhelming. The wings were decent (I tried the spice blend), but nothing particularly memorable. This restaurant definitely has potential, especially with its beautiful interior design and outstanding staff. However, the food needs more bold, authentic Italian flavor or any FLAVOR to truly stand out.

Unfortunately, the slow service doesn’t make the food worth it. We were seated at 7:00 and waited until 7:15 for someone to even introduce themselves to us for service and pour some water. We put in a drink order and garlic bread appetizer and didn’t receive our drinks until 7:47pm. Eventually, we placed an order for the starsky pizza while still waiting on our garlic bread. Another 20 minutes later, the pizza finally came with no garlic bread in sight (I’m convinced our waiter never told the kitchen). Only AFTER we had eaten half of the pizza did our appetizer show up, not to mention, our pizza was missing the sausage that came on it. When we questioned our waiter if we received the correct pizza, they said “oh sorry, we’re out of sausage.” Don’t you think that’s something you’d mention before the customer orders the sausage pizza? Will not be going back and would advise others not to either, the food IS NOT worth the wait.

We were really looking forward to trying Pizza Baby West, especially their special dessert, which was one of the main reasons we went. We got there well before 7 PM, but they were already out of it — super disappointing. We ordered the Margherita pizza, and sadly, it just didn’t hold up. The center was rolled so thin that it completely fell apart — we couldn’t even eat it at the restaurant. We ended up taking it home, but by the next day, it had pretty much disintegrated. Overall, it was a frustrating visit and not the experience we were hoping for

Just picked up my online order and I’m so disappointed. We ordered a large pizza, garlic parm wings ($16), and a beer to go($3). We get there and they are out of the beer we choose online instead I had to get a $9 beer (prices of beers are not marked so we didn’t know if he price until we paid for it). Then once we open the wing container we were shocked to get 9 uncooked boiled chicken wings. Usually Garlic Parm is a dry rub so I was expecting something like that but instead we got wet, soggy, undercooked, bland wings. Pizza was good though.

Just got home with an empty stomach after waiting for an hour, with no end (or pizza) in sight. The kitchen was backed up, which was understandable for a Friday night, but our server, Jonathan, lied to us on multiple occasions about where our food was. First the kitchen was slammed with to-go orders so the pizza we had been waiting about 20 minutes for was going to be another 30 minutes. We debated whether to leave but Jonathan comped us drinks so we stayed. About 10 minutes later, he said our pizza was in the oven. Reader, it was not. Then after another 15, he said it was in the oven but the crust was white and needed a few more minutes to brown. Ok. Then, ANOTHER 15 minutes later he said he was sorry about the wait and he was just going to go check on the pizza for us. I told him if it wasn’t ready, to just bring us the check. So here I am, Reader, starving and angry - not so much about the wait, but about having been lied to, multiple times, to my face. Avoid.

Asked if I ordered the sweet tea if it had unlimited refills since the soda did not have unlimited refills for $5 and was told yes unlimited refills for tea. When the waitress with an attitude brought my first tea out before the food arrived she said this is the last glass of tea we have and we are not making anymore today. My friend eating with me also ordered tea therefore she didn't receive any and instead ordered a bottle coke (1 is $5 I could buy a 2 liter for less than one coke there). when the check came (after I went to find out waitress and ask for it and wait for it), I was charged $4 for a tea which I had no refills for and $5 for my friends one small bottle of coke. I feel as though since we were promised unlimited tea when we ordered I should not have been charged $4 for my one small glass of tea which I finished prior to our food coming out. ALSO, this is a pizza place and when our pizza came out that we were sharing it was NOT cut and it came out with no spatula or cutter!!!! My friend ask the waitress to either bring us a cutter and spatula please or take it back and cut it. She took it back with an attitude and we watched in amazement as three waitresses stood around the counter looking for a cutter, then trying to cut it!!! That's correct it took THREE girls about 7 minutes to figure out HOW to cut the pizza and this is SUPPOSED to be a pizza place!!!! We came because of the good reviews I read in an article, however I feel with the horrible service and mediocre food I personally don't need to return, and my friend was even more insistent on not returning again EVER she use to be a waitress many years ago and was appalled by our waitresses attitude. As a last note, we eat out of when we meet up and we always leave NICE tips (20% OR MORE) HOWEVER this is the first time in MANY years we left NO TIP, as we decided the tip would have been the $8 we were charged on our ($30) for unlimited tea we ordered and did not receive. We had been wedding shopping all day, and if we knew we would only get one glass of tea which was long gone before the food arrived we would have went else where, as we were more thirsty and tired at that time than we were hungry!!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon, with two of our friends already there, they had ordered some appatizers that came put pretty prompt. We were waited on by a young lady, she didn't seem to know what was on the menu... We ordered 4 sparkling waters that took almost 15 minutes to arrive, and 4 pizzas that took an additional 50 minutes... which came out very dry and cracker-like. Also only 3 pizzas showed up... the waitress I guess only pretended to write down our orders as my wife didn't get her pizza, so 20 minutes goes by after we inform the waitress and we come out with the pizza which we elected to take to go... Only to get home and find out they gave us the wrong pizza... not a good day here.

Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. We got seated and it took someone 20 minutes to come greet us. We didn’t get water after asking them for another 15 minutes and she brought us an half a bottle of water. Our cocktails tasted like water because they sat at the bar for awhile. After 40 minutes from ordering we finally got our app. Still did not get napkins or silverware. Staff kept saying the kitchen was backed up but it was the service that seemed to have the most issues. Food tasted fine but would not recommend or go back due to terrible service.
