I thought I had already written a review, this one is long time coming. We have been here at least 5 times and hubby always gets the meat burrito and me fish tacos. Always tasty. Moving up here from San Diego we were accustomed to real authentic mexican food, our favorite. This restaurant delivers the flavor. Today we decided to mix it up and try something else on the menu. Hubby had bacon cheese burger, he loved it. I had the carnitas enchaladas and yum! Excellent service too. We like to bring our doggies and sit outside. I always keep a water bowl in our jeep and keep our doggies hydrated, if you forget to bring yours I'm sure they will accommodate. I have one suggestion though, perhaps opening up wifi so patrons can connect their phones too. Usually when we're out in restaurants during the day, we talk about work and like to bring up ideas and search on our phones to discuss with each other. So, that's my only suggestion. Everything else is awesome.

I’ve been coming up to Almanor for over 35 years, and finding great local food is always part of the experience. Lola’s is one of those rare places that gets everything right. Spotless dining area, clean bathrooms, friendly service, and incredible food. Whether you’re in the mood for traditional American breakfasts or flavorful Mexican dishes, Lola’s has you covered. More recently, our family ordered a hearty spread of ham, eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, bacon, mini pancakes, and fresh coffee. Every bite was satisfying and made with care. They also offer standout Mexican breakfast options like breakfast tacos and chilaquiles. Clean, welcoming, and consistent. Lola’s is a must-visit whenever you’re in the area.

The ideal lunch stop while motorcycle touring thru the area. Appreciated the family atmosphere with friendly service and delicious entrees. Served on their shady side patio. EZ parking. Reasonable pricing and great iced tea. I had their club sandwich with a fresh side salad. 🤠👍

Chester is a hard town for new restaurants to survive, but I think Lola's is doing everything right. Not only are they located in a decades old, established restaurant building, but brought everything up a notch. The food is fantastic, eggs Benedict done perfectly, everything else had great flavor, just the right amount of salt and spices. Went in with a friend on 4th of july weekend, got seated quickly, service was great, never left waiting and never annoyed. Support this new local restaurant! The people are great, the food is great, and most importantly... THEY KEPT THE TRAIN!!!!

We were in town for two days to see Lassen Volcanic National Park, and we went to Lola's both days for breakfast, because it was SO GOOD. Nice little family run place with great pictures and cheery sunflowers all over. Wonderful omelette and breakfast burritos, super nice owners.

I was sad to see the burger depot go. It was my favorite in the area so I almost boycotted Lola's (haha). But I decided to go anyway and was very impressed. The people are so nice. They do some awesome things for tge kids in the community too. Very pleased with the new addition to our town.

5 of us were served promptly. The place was clean and the service was excellent. Great Variety of food selections. We all had breakfast and it was super delicious. You can eat in or outside. It was a complete treat. Cantvwaitvto try lunch next time

This is a solid dining option for Chester. We had a cheeseburger and nachos. The burger was great, the nachos were ok - not good - not bad. I would recommend skipping those. The service was friendly and prompt. We will be back!

Phenomenal breakfast! Chorizo breakfast quesadilla was perfect. So was the breakfast burrito. Homemade salsa was a perk! It’s cash only but it’s convenient (ATM onsite) and cheap (just $2!) to get cash. Absolutely worth it! Too bad we’re just passing through town, otherwise we’d be here tomorrow!

Great dining experience...we had breakfast (keto scramble and chorizo breakfast burrito) and lunch (chicken taquitos...loaded with clean shredded chicken and beef enchiladas that ere equally delicious) at Lola's. Highly recommend! We had a dog and ate outside...the flies were super annoying (need some whirly birds).

Great spot for lunch! Hubby enjoyed the enchilada plate, 2 large with rice and beans. I was all breakfast with bacon (thin, crunchy, delicious), eggs (perfect) , the best crispy hash browns I've had in years, and toast. Good coffee. Very friendly staff. Cute decor, big clean bathrooms. They only take cash so be prepared.

This is a fantastic restaurant!! We are so lucky to have them in our community. Excellent service, really great people working here. The food is delicious and so many things on the menu! I get something different every time and always leave with a full belly and happy taste buds! The restaurant is very nice ambiance, love the way it's decorated. Not one complaint. Absolutely love this place, I will be back again and again and again!

If you want family atmosphere, come here! The food is delicious, the people are very friendly and when we went, it was Easter and they had colored pictures that the children colored for a contest pinned all over and an employee dressed as the Easter Bunny! Love the menu with a little of everything. And when the weather permits, they have outdoor seating. Love it!

Our new go to restaurant in Chester, CA. We’ve been there 3 times within the last month. Every time the food has been excellent and the staff very pleasant. We can be very picky about Mexican food and so far we have tried their Enchiladas, Chile Releno, and Chorizo burrito. A “home run each time”. For breakfast, at least one of us will order the Red, White and Blue Belgium” (enough for 2 and we nicknamed the “heart attack “ …. but so good♥️ I’m glad they kept the train too. I love their hours and wish them all the best in serving our our community. If I could post a picture, I would. New to IPhone so I’m not sure if I can? lol or I’m finally show my age🙃

I had the French toast with eggs and sausage. It was delicious but I was told by a townie that the portions were huge so it fell short of my expectations. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The staff was all friendly and it is a CASH 💰 ONLY establishment. They even have a train that Circles above you!.

Stopped in for lunch today. Burgers were really good. Fries are seasoned and very good as well! I had the chipotle burger and my wife had the Lola’s burger. Both are 3 napkin burgers 😁 When in Chester add this spot to your burger list.

This is a great little restaurant for breakfast. They've also got Mexican food. If you like your eggs over hard. Ask for them well well done. Other than that everything is great. They do have outdoor seating. And a train runs around the inside of the building. This is a cash only restaurant. There is an ATM machine located on site. Definitely recommend checking out.

Although the sign said open on the front of the building, lit up in red and it was 2:50 PM, when I entered the building the lady said were closed. I like this place, but I hate their hours and their lack of customer service.

Food and service were both good. No complaints. We ate outside, so I wasn’t worried about the table being dirty/dusty. 30 hours after eating here we got extremely sick with NVD. My in-laws ate here the next day and 28 hours later they got NVD. Upon talking to the health dept, it sounds like we all weren’t the only ones. So possibly an issue with food safety.

Stopped through on a roadtrip. Ordered the Chile relleno, and chicken and cheese flautas. This food was gross, the chicken was so bland and yucky, and it was a barely fried chimichanga cut up into slices you couldnt even pick up. The chile relleno sauce tasted like puke. The service was complicated and the 4 people helping us kept forgetting everything. To top it off, they tried to low ball us on our change after paying....smh we will not return.

Took twenty minutes to take our order, waited over an hour since they mistakenly gave our food away, no drink refills, told us one of our orders was not available after an hour and tried to charge us for it after we just cancelled it. Was not very busy. Wouldn’t recommend, especially if you have hungry kids with you.
