We celebrated our movie launch at Haymarket. Excellent choice of beers, hearty sandwiches and other drinks!
Really good brewery and pub, great for sports. Lots of craft beer on tap. Food looked good but didn't have any, staff friendly
Stopped by Haymarket Brewery in Chicago and had an outstanding experience! I ordered the Pork Milanese and it was absolutely fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Easily one of the best dishes I’ve had at a brewpub. To go with it, I tried their Speaker Wagon Pilsner, and it was a perfect pairing. Light, crisp, and incredibly refreshing—ideal for a warm day or just unwinding after a long one. The staff truly made the visit even better. Jonathan behind the bar was friendly and knowledgeable, and John, our server, was incredibly attentive and welcoming. Great food, great drinks, and genuinely great people. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!
Had a great experience! The food was great (we had the nachos with pulled pork and the pepperoni pizza). Beer was legit as well, I had a couple of the IPA's. Really liked the atmosphere, was low key and several people had their dogs chilling with them on the patio. The surrounding area is also really cool, with nearby shopping, bakeries and ice cream. Will definitely be saving for a repeat next time in town.
Amazing brewpub in downtown Chicago. Awesome atmosphere and outdoor seating is nice. The bar is nice too. Service is really great. Our server was fantastic. Menu is small but everything seems great. Salad and wings were great. We saw burgers at the table next us, those looks awesome. The beer was also really good and you can get most in cans to go. Highly recommended!
Great visit here! The food needs a little salt for my liking, but it’s so full of flavor. Bar food is always a bit greasy so that didn’t bother me. What’s really awesome about this place is that so much is made in-house. The Southern Carolina BBQ Sauce is where it’s at! We LOVED the sweet potato tots too. There were too many beers to choose from so we got flights to spread the love and everything was great except the Stout. I’d never lower a review over a beer flavor though because it is what it says it is. It’s the truest stout I’ve ever tasted, but it was just too bitter for my liking. All that said, this place easily deserves 5 stars. We enjoyed it and it was well worth the 30 minute commute for us to try it!
Excellent beer and food! They smoke their own homemade sausage! The beer was really awesome- especially the IPA’s! Highly recommend California Dreamin and the Mathias!!! The food was so good and the portions were great to make this your sole meal of the day! Went on Christmas Eve and had great service and a really knowledgeable bartender/server to help with beer choices! Another on the repeat list!
My favorite spot in Chicago to get a beer! Their beer menu is extensive and I enjoy getting a taster flight to try out several drafts. This season, the Pink Sock Monkey Raspberry Wheat has been my stand out favorite. It is fruity, light, and oh so drinkable. Not to be upstaged by the fantastic beer, their food menu is equally great. The pulled pork is fantastic. The pizza is nearly perfect. Thin but crisp on the bottom with a delightful chew. But hands down my favorite is The Big Mick. One of the best burgers in the city!
Great selection of their own beers covering many styles. Fairly large inside with plenty of table choices, though on a relatively quiet Wednesday we took the option of sitting at the bar. Good choice if you want to talk beer with the knowledgeable staff. And get the lowdown on the local scene from them and some of their regulars.
I hosted my mom's retirement party for 40 people at Haymarket and had a fantastic experience. While planning it, Chris, John, and Eric were all passionate and flexible. The kitchen and bar went above and beyond: Tino hand-delivered my brother, who has Down syndrome, a personal plate of food and Cesar's cake decor was hysterical (my mom in a bikini at the beach). Mike, our bartender, was personable and all the guests loved him! I would definitely host an event here again!
Julio was amazing in his recommendations and service. It’s definitely one of the few breweries that has a larger food menu. The Jalapeño breadsticks paired so well with the beers. Will visit again.
Hands down the best service I've received in distant memory at a bar. We ordered drinks and literally had them within moments (despite it being relatively busy for a weekday night). Server and bartender were both excellent. Appetizers were good (cheese curds and fries). There's a large beer list. Mixed drinks were tasty. Prices were reasonable. I will be back.
My friend and I popped in for a while to celebrate her 30th birthday. The staff was kind and helpful. They make their own hard seltzer in house. The strawberry basil was great! The drinks were strong, well priced and we even tried the “Chicago right of passage”…. A shot of Malort.
First time here. The food was really good and there was a good drink selection as well. We always appreciate anywhere that allows kids. It wasn’t crowded at all and our server was really nice. Fast service.
$9 a pint but they have a nice selection and a good mount of seating indoors. The blackberry wheat was something I hadn’t tried before and it was good. Great spot here.
Came in and immediately greeted by an expert in Frank. He offered beer samples and advice, his understanding and recommendation was spot on. Then ordered pizza. Detroit style for my pick and I will let the picture say the 1000 words of awesome rather than my choppy words. Fantastic here, 5 stars all the way.
Stopped by Haymarket after hanging out with a friend just down the street at UIC. We weren't expecting anything special, just a pub and Brewery, but we were very pleasantly surprised! They had a good selection of their own quality beers on tap, which looked like all good options, combined with grwat food and app choices. We tried their pretzel, which was fantastic, and then both got burgers. The burgers were both phenomenal, really satisfying to eat and very well made, topped with lightly grilled buns and accompanied by delicious fries. Definitely would recommend a visit if you're in the area, great food, great beer, great experience.
What a great place for beer and wings. Big selection and large variety of their own draft beer. The wings were meaty and tasty! I had a Bratwurst on a roll too. Divine! Although I don't really watch sports, they had big screen TV's playing the sports channels. The bartenders (I ate at the bar) were super friendly and attentive and very knowledgeable about the beer and food. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was comfortable for enjoying an evening out. I visited twice. I wish I had found this place sooner into my visit to Chicago! It's definitely a favorite that I will be suggesting to friends!
Unique selection of beers, but more importantly, the BEST bar food I’ve ever eaten! I absolutely loved the fried cheese curds.
We are from out of state and hadn't been there before. I don't recall our server's name but she made great suggestions and provided excellent service. Will definitely be back again for the nachos with chicken.
We are visiting US for the first time. As a couple - and me being the beer enthusiast I am, this place is the best! We both enjoyed the variety of beer so much and the servents are the friendliest! Try their pizzas! Their late coffee is so basic that it makes you wanna stay untill breakfast :) It is truly a MUST visit bar in Chicago! We visited probably 50+ bars in chicago during our vacation and this one came on top number #1 !!! Love beer? Haymarket is your place!!!
I am in town working as an actor in Death Becomes Her right now and I took myself to Au Cheval on my day off. As i was walking out I saw that this brewery was opening up across the street so I decided to stop in and get a beer. The windows were open and it was a gorgeous day and the beer was delicious and the service was excellent! I highly recommend if you want a chill environment to grab a beer and hang!
Haymarket Pub and Brewery in Chicago on Randolph Street has it ALL! The Owner Pete and all of his Staff have created a MUST stop Food and Beer destination!! That burger though!! The BIG MIC!! Order that as soon as you sit down!! Also don't miss out on their, Pizza, Seasonal Sausages and THE FRIES! Get there!! See the video on my You Tube page A Biker Dude!!
Awesome experience here 👏 The staff makes you feel right at home! Need I say the food was awesome 👌 and The Harold's 83 Honey Beer 🍺 was devine!!! An awesome place to visit.
This is one of those places that you walk into and you immediately know you’re going to laugh and have a good time. It reminds me of a bar in a sit com that makes you think to yourself “I wish I had a bar like that in my neighborhood” The staff here is so friendly and funny. I always sit at the bar This is the first place I think of when someone says “wanna grab a drink?”
The service is great. Not super crowded during the day so it's pretty cozy. Quiet enough for a conversation. The AI generated beer is saturated with flavor to the point it's pretty much a porter. The cheese curds were good but low in quantity. The marinara that comes with it is warm. Great variety
Incredible food and service!! We had an excellent time having a beautiful lunch at HW; their menu has something for everyone. Their salads are so good (we ordered the summer citrus and the Mediterranean), and ended up ordering a third salad to take home to enjoy for lunch the following day. Can’t say enough great things, can’t go wrong with any menu item! 10/10 recommend!
I hosted my husband's 40th birthday party in Haymarket's event space and it was the best decision! The team truly went above and beyond - from the initial email inquiry and throughout my planning, John and team were incredibly responsive and so helpful answering all my questions. They were super flexible with menu options, decorations, etc. On event day, they were so helpful with helping me set up and throughout the event constantly checking in to see what I needed and how best they can help. The food and drinks were also fantastic - food was SO good and Tino, the chef, even came out multiple times to check a and make sure we had everything we needed and even accommodated a separate allergy-safe dish for my sister. Overall, we had the best experience hosting an event here and had such a good time - I can't thank the team enough. I also received multiple compliments from guests saying how great the experience was. Highly recommend!
Everything was exceptional from A-Z! We got a pizza, fish tacos, chicken wings and the cheese curds YUMMY!!! I’m going back to take professional photos cause the ones on my phone don’t do justice. Thank you!
The breakfast pizza here is incredible. Shame it was taken off the menu. Tino tho is the BEST chef. I beg every time to get this pizza, ask for it. Its so worth it.
The best food Ive had in awhile. Food menu is elevated above usual bar fare for sure. Was here for NFL sunday and it had a great atmosphere. Parking was full (parked around the corner) but the building itself had plenty of space. Would recommend to anyone.
Stopped in here to enjoy a beverage and had an incredible experience. The realness and great convo with the bartender (Mike), the vibe of the patrons, the music, all were super inviting and warm. Will definitely come back when I am in West Loop.
Nice selection of drinks with lots of beers on draft. We didn’t get any food here but the staff was friendly and the drinks were great! Plenty of tvs to watch sports as well.
We hosted a private event here, and it was fantastic! From planning the event with John to working the party with Mike, there was fabulous customer service and hospitality from the Haymarket staff. Food and drinks were delicious and our guests had a lovely time. Thank you!
The NY Strip Steak sandwich was the best sandwich in the past 12 months! An experience I definitely recommend!
The best local spot!! Tino, the chef, makes the most amazing breakfast pizza. Make sure to ask for it if he's working!! Love hanging out here on game days.
10yrs ago our first date was here, so to celebrate our 10th yr anniversary we came back here for dinner. For was great, got a flight of beer (which is the right way to try beers IMO) and our server José was super attentive and got our food and drinks on time and got us a complimentary champagne. He shares some great memories with other patrons similar to ours celebrating life events here at Haymarket! I'm glad that the such an awesome place still stands strong in this market condition.
Our burgers were delicious. I had a Haymaker IPA which was a good pairing with my burger. Wings were spicy and hearty.
Wide open space with plenty of seating, and a large bar. Beer 🍺 is good, and the staff are great.
Another good place to get some pizza. I got a tavern cut style pizza here, and it was good. The service was pretty quick as I asked for it to go because I knew I wasn't going to eat it all right away. I got the pepperoni, banana peppers, and Basil one.
Really dug the look of this place, and their bartenders are cool and attentive. Wish we were hungry cuz their food looks bangin, but ain't no hate. Good beer, good staff, good environment.
Visited last weekend with a friend, she sent me a video of a IG influencer raving about Haymaker brunch on Sunday. I ordered a omelette with hash browns, and a cheddar biscuit with a dipping sauce. The omelette tastes fine, but something was off with how it looked. Maybe they used liquid eggs or something. The biscuit tastes fine, but it was crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. The main reason we showed up was for the bottomless mimosas, it didn’t disappoint. Definitely heavy on the pour!!! It’s a two hour time limit.
I got a flight of two different Saisons, a Belgian IPA, coffee IPA, and a hazy IPA. The beers were all delicious and the service was great. The food was pretty good, except the Vegan Burger was one of the worst I’ve ever had (as a vegetarian). It was kinda like a lump of mush.
I dropped into Haymarket for a quick bite and a drink. The place was relatively full but I was able to sit in the bar area. The server was friendly and prompt. Their beer menu is quite extensive, so if you're looking to try some fun beers, this is the place. I ordered the chicken wings and was pretty disappointed. They had a generic sauce and were very small for the price paid. I still have yet to find a great place to get wings in the West Loop. Haymarket is a nice place for a quick bite and a wide selection of beers. I would certainly come back for a drink, but probably not food.
Stopped in before a dinner reservation down the street and what a great find. It was a nice lowkey spot with a good selection of beer. The atmosphere was nice and the bartenders were friendly. Looking forward to trying their food the next time I stop in.
Service was great. Food was good - not the best, but good. Loud atmosphere.
I came cause of the reviews of brunch i saw on TikTok….eat before you come! My boyfriend. Ordered steak and eggs with an extra egg they gave him the equivalent to an egg and a half scrambled and a few pieces of cut up steak look like a kids portion not worth $20 bucks at all! Plus food was barley seasoned only good thing I could say is the customer service our waiter was excellent
Charging a 20% “Banquet Service Charge” is one of the greediest things I’ve seen, even in Chicago. It’s an absolute shame given this place is great. The owners is doing a dis-service to the wait staff with this BS.
I have visited this place couple of times with my friends and had a good time. Me and my friends are beer enthusiasts and we love the hay z beer here particularly and always keep this place as a priority and have suggested this place to many friends but I went there to have drinks on 31st of the October 2025 Friday night also happened to be Halloween night.we walked in took the bar seats and orders our fav beers and it’s the first drink of the night for us and wanted to have more here and we closed the tab (cause we wanted to open another tab with a different car later )after we took the first round of beers and didn’t tip as we wanted to tip at the end when we wanted to leave and the server a guy threw the pen and the bill pad right onto my friend very aggressively in a demanding way to write the tip. I felt very angry but didn’t wanna be a trouble and then we quietly wrote some tip and then after 10mins he took the bill pad and entered the tip in the computer. Now is this the way to do the service? I understand they are busy working hard and I totally understand we need to tip as the appreciation but it’s not my last drink and I’m not leaving. We felt humiliated and he had this attitude towards us for not tipping him? So I’m asking are we only welcomed here if we tip the bar tender? And we stayed there the whole night left the bar counter and took a table ordered some fries and had more drinks because I liked the vibe and you have good beers. But that’s the last time I’m coming and I will take my business elsewhere. I appreciate hard working people but when you wanna act rudely and demand no ones gonna give you the same respect you ask for.
We went to Haymarket Pub & Brewery on Sunday around 3:30 PM. When we arrived, the host asked how many were in our party and we said two. Instead of seating us, he pointed to a section and told us to grab a table. Meanwhile, other parties who arrived after us were personally seated. We waited 10–15 minutes without anyone coming over to take a drink order or even acknowledge us, while a nearby table was being actively attended who arrived AFTER us. Once we realized we were being completely ignored, we left. No guest should feel overlooked the moment they walk in. This behavior was completely unacceptable.
