Delicious dinner at Riccardo Enoteca with great friends. The caprese and arugula salads (to start) and lasagna, salmon, lamb, and gnocchi as mains were all amazing. Definitely a restaurant to repeat.

Go here if CPOG doesn't work out! What a lovely spot! It feels like Italy minus Italian waiters! But don’t get me wrong. Our waiter was terrific, and the entire staff worked hard. We stopped in to eat after trying to go to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder across the street, which had a several-hour wait. Luckily, we grabbed a table at Ricardo Enoteca. This spot is so charming and cozy that I expected the prices to be outrageous, but they were actually pretty reasonable for the food quality, service, and lovely atmosphere. Our food and drinks were delicious, and my group left quite happy! It's a perfect spot for a date that you really like!

A quaint restaurant tucked away in Lincoln Park. The outdoor sidewalk seating was perfect. I was surprised to see that restaurant itself is very small (maybe around 12 tables) but it added to the charm. Service was fantastic Food was right up there but I wasn’t blown away I will be back to try more here 😊

This place, yes this one! Are you looking for great Italian food anywhere in Chicago? It’s this place! I am amazed! My wife and I stumbled upon this place and it’s sister restaurant across the street when we were looking for an odd recommendation of pizza pot pie, when we got turned away from the pizza pot pie place we decided to try this places sister restaurant across the street. I specifically said let’s see if we get lucky and oh my did we! The other restaurant is supposed to be the more upscale place but i have to respectfully disagree. We came back to try this place knowing it was the sister restaurant and we were absolutely blown away by the level of warmth and service by the staff, not to say the sister restaurant was bad by any means this was just so amazing. We came back to see which we would try again, we passed by the sister restaurant saw our server, he waved and smiled but here we walked by and they said “Are we doing this again tonight?”, it felt like a family member asking if you were hungry and wouldn’t let you leave even if you weren’t, phenomenal! We had such a great time, I’ll post pictures of the food and the wine but I really cannot imagine these fine people serving anything that is not up to par. Be sure to tell your server what you like and what you don’t, trust their recommendation and enjoy the best Italian and probably the best meal and service you’ve ever had. I’m so grateful Chef Riccardo hasn’t opened one in Houston where I am from because I would be enormous, and not have a dream of opening a real Italian restaurant there! Prove me wrong by naming a better place, until then I will remain haunted by this one and hope you will too!

This place is amazing! We had the best time and great service. The brick oven flatbread is a must. The octopus was amazing. By far the best tiramisu in town. I can’t believe it took me this long to try it

Highly Recommend: the food, atmosphere, and service were all great! On weekend nights make sure to make a reservation as the place is not big and can fill up. From what I had I would definitely recommend gazpacho and bucatini carbonara. Fava beans as well as tiramisu were alright to try, nothing particularly special, about them, yet good.

While waiting for that place across the street, we decided to try out Enoteca. I’m very glad we did. The service is outstanding, out server was super nice, knowledgeable, and very attentive, he made a great recommendation on the fava beans for an appetizer. The food was fantastic, decent sized portions and they have a pretty nice wine list to accompany your meal. Definitely a place to go if you’re looking for Italian food.

Incredible service and food! It felt like I was dining in a swanky old New York Italian restaurant where Mr Big serenades Carrie Bradshaw. LOVELY. Cannot wait to return!

While this was my 1st visit Riccardo’s Enoteca to celebrate a special occasion, it will not be my last! Hostess Jasmine and staff without exception were very friendly and customer focused. I am appreciative of their efforts to make me feel welcome to this cute Italian restauran. Jasmine made excellent recommendations for Italian wine which paired nicely with the meal. However, the star was the food! Being a fan of eggplant, I highly recommend the eggplant/zucchini appetizer which was cooked to perfection. For the main, I ordered the Amish Chicken Breast Milanese arugula with grape tomato’s and roast potato which was excellent but a very large portion. It was cooked to perfection. I saved room for the house made tiramisu which hit the spot with a cup of cafe American! I recommend dining early to avoid the crowds. There is also room at the bar to sit and dine. Give this place a try….you won’t be disappointed! 😘

The fried mozzarella with arugula, tomatoes, and balsamic was delicious. We both enjoyed our pastas - the lasagna was very rich and hearty. Lots of meat sauce and cheese. The pesto pasta was a hit too!

Went there for restaurant week and was slightly disappointed that the menu advertised online was not the same in person (missing the expensive dishes- lamp chop/ steak options etc). However the service and atmosphere were wonderful. I ended up getting the grilled calamari to start which was delicious and the pappardelle fiorentina as my main which was also great.

Been there twice and that is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Chicago! The food is delicious, I had some risotto once and some mozarella the other time and also tasted the carbonara pasta. The place is nice as well, and the workers are very professional and agreeable. Love this neighborhood-restaurant atmosphere!

An amazing and intimate restaurant in Lincoln Park. Staff is so friendly and squeezed us in on a busy Saturday night. Everything we ordered was delicious and our host, Orencio, was the nicest! Will most certainly be back

We had a great experience at Ricardo Enoteca! As soon as we sat down they got us our espresso martinis and bread! We started with the veal ricotta meatballs which were phenomenal. For our entrees we got the Bucatini alla carbonara and the Braciola di Maiale all’s Emiliana (breaded pork with mozzarella and prosciutto). These were sooo delicious! Talking with a few of the other guests around us, you cannot go wrong with choice in food! Definitely recommend!

The food is delicious, a neighborhood gem. The fava beans is a good choice for a starter, fettuccine bolognese is very tasty. The trout is another great option. The tiramisu is very authentic. Ask for Juan, he is an excellent server and made great recommendations

Great dinner! Fagioli soup had great flavorful broth. The beef carpaccio was a bit on the thick side and a bit chewy, but nice addition of avocado and hearts of palm The pesto shrimp special was delicious! The pesto sauce was perfect. Carbonara dish was well done and I’m a bit of a carbonara snob. Our waiter, Hector, great. Friendly and attentive.

Every time we visit Chicago, Riccardo Enoteca is a must. You can truly taste the passion and effort in every dish — flavors are perfectly balanced and delicious. The wine selection is superb, especially the Barolo. My top picks: the salad “Cuori di lattuga romana” and the main “Polipo alla Genovese.” The restaurant is always clean, unpretentious, with a great ambiance. The staff is professional, friendly, and makes you feel like family — special thanks to Juan for his kindness. Highly recommended!

I'm writing this review at the table. Haven't even left the restaurant yet. This meal was unbelievable. We came for restaurant week and were not disappointed. Far from. Every single course was *chef's kiss*. Highly recommend the prosciutto de parma and lasagna. Outstanding. Would give this place 50 stars if I could. Thank you Hector for the service. Have mercy.

Took my family of 6 here (4 kids), and everything was superb. Top notch friendly service from the waiter and manager (perhaps owner), and the food was some of the best Italian we have ever had (and my wife is Italian and highly critical). All of the pasta dishes were 5 stars, but the grilled octopus and Rigatoni Buttera were out of this world good. The mango sorbet and after dinner espresso were both exceptional. Highly recommend.

Every detail was exceptional. We went seafood heavy and were impressed with the portions. I want to go back and eat everything again! The service was amazing as well. We strongly recommend the gazpacho, octopus (especially for the potatoes underneath— a masterpiece.) and the pear tart. Espresso was delicious as well. It’s been a long time since I have had a flawless dinner out.

A great happy hour. Nicely curated, large pour wines at half price. The fried baby artichokes were delicious and delicate as were the arancini with marinara. The portions were large enough to share. The service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for a lovely happy hour.

I go here perhaps once a month and love it each time. Intimate environment, great food, friendly service. Rarely has an open table for a first seating due to high demand. Sometimes I sneak a spot at the bar. Last night I took my brother here and we got burrata, carbonara, roast chicken, a salad, and the apple pie for dessert. I’d recommend all of them!

We currently visited this restaurant for restaurant week and we were really pleased with the service and food. The staff and manager were very friendly. The portions of food were nice too, we needed up having to take home our leftovers.

First visit... won't be the last. We had an exceptional experience. The food was excellent - all four of us ordered different entrees and everyone was happy (that lasagna...yummmm...no words!!!). And we received superior service from our gentleman server, who elevated the entire experience. What a special little neighborhood restaurant.

We stumbled upon this gem after another restaurant made an error with our reservation. What a lucky find this was! The atmosphere is quaint, the staff is kind and welcoming, and our waiter whipped up one of the beat cosmos I have ever had! The dinner was plated beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. We will happily return!

Absolutely charming Italian restaurant with outside seating for you and your pet. I was hiking for the day with my pyrenees puppy and decided it was a good time to relax and enjoy pasta and I wasn't disappointed. The small serving of bread 🍞 was homemade and unique and the pesto pasta was literally one of the most flavorful and authenticly made I've had in ages. If I wasn't so stuffed I would have tried a dessert but the portions were generous and I had to take home at least half. I definitely recommend this cute Italian restaurant if you live traditional Italian pasta and cuisine. The service was excellent and he even brought out water 💧 for my puppy without me even asking.

Downtown during St Patrick's celebration to see Mozart exhibit and accidentally ran into this place. Real good food! Great service! The grilled octopuss was awesome, so hard to find this. My wife had the cheese gnocchi was also very tasty. Want to try everything on their menu.

Service was wonderful and the food is delicious! We are excited to make ourselves regulars here. Our favorites were the sausage pizza which was crisp and airy, the chicken Parmesan was delicious and quite the generous serving, and the salads are all crave worthy. Excited to eat our leftovers tomorrow.

My group and I went for restaurant week and had a fantastic experience! we ordered the meatballs, caprese salad, and grilled calamari to start, and all were great. The mozzarella melted in your mouth and the squid was light, fresh, and perfectly grilled. For our mains, we ordered the carbonara and the veal parmigiana and both were delicious as well. We finished the meal with the tiramisu and panna cotta, and both like everything else, they were both fantastic. The service was fantastic and prompt. I can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!

Relaxed, cozy and great food. I had the seared duck which isn't offered but 1-2 times a year and this was the first time they had it on the menu this year! The prices are perfect for all their dishes. Servers are attentive and professional. Love it I see why they have regulars. You may want to make reservations we were bless they had room at the bar to sit and eat.

We have been a regular customer since it opened. I cannot say enough in praise of the ambiance, food and service. I live in Lake Geneva Wisconsin much of the time. I keep trying to get them to open a sister restaurant there. To no avail. I recommend Enoteca without reservation, unless it becomes too difficult to get a table😃

Went during Chicago restaurant week. For $42 the size of the food was wonderful and quality was top notch. Most restaurants make tiny servings for restaurant week but Riccardo Enoteca went all out. Definitely get here if you can

Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Meals are served slowly (in a good way so you don't have to rush). Do skip the calamari and octopus. They were rubbery. The rest of our dishes were excellent.

The service was great here. Nice small cozy restaurant. Everyone was attentive. The appetizers, pasta and desserts were great. I would have loved my pizza a little more cooked. The vegetables were still crunchy. Overall good experience.

While the food was AMAZING, my party and I couldn't help but notice the different treatment between us (all people of color) and other guests. Our waiter was quite passive aggressive and even impatient with us at one point after a simple request. Afterwards, we observed how the waiter was much kinder to the other people in the restaurant, who happened to be predominately white. I hate to assume the worst about someone, but after reading someone else's review detailing a similar experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this place despite the good food. However, I will say that the host we briefly interacted with treated us kindly compared to the waiter, and I can say the same about the other host from the other Riccardo establishment across the street.

We really enjoy going to Ricardo’s , the food is very good and in general the service is very good. Unfortunately for my family we had dinner there on a Saturday night 2 weeks before Christmas and when we went to order dessert at 10:00 (we had an 8:30 reservation) they informed us they turned their ovens off and only could offer limited dessert . We had ordered 2 courses and were experiencing a very nice evening. The odd thing was the manager wasn’t straightforward enough to talk to us once we learned we were out of luck for dessert. It’s a shame we can’t get a real Italian service at a Chicago Italian restaurant.
