Love this place. I’ve been a repeat customer for years because they keep prices reasonable and the food is yummy.

"Teriyaki is a cooking technique used in Japanese cuisine in which foods are broiled or grilled with a glaze of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar.'" If you get Teriyaki, from Teriyaki House, it is the best in Chico. If you prefer vegetables and tofu and don't like sweet sauce then don't give a great restaurant a poor review because you made a poor choice for a meal. Teriyaki House has wonderfully grilled and glazed meat with fresh steamed vegetables and rice cooked to perfection.

I think as a fast take-out restaurant its excellent. Lightning fast and good food at a reasonable price.

I thought the chicken salad was amazing 🤩 I would like to suggest that the option of maybe original fried wonton strips or something with crunch, be considered as an option as a topping for an additional fee or just something the salad comes with. I had some wonton strips at home and the extra crunch was amazing ☺️

Only place in town where you can a truly filling, well rounded meal for under 10 dollars. On top of that you truly could just cover your eyes and point at the menu and you'll get something good. You can't go wrong here.

I usually get the number three plate, but I also like the number one plate if I want some steak. The meat here is top notch. Excellent steak and chicken. I have not tried the pork. The imperial rolls are one of my favorite things here too. The chicken skewers for the number three plate are very juicy and the portions are nice. One of my favorite places in Chico.

I always know I will be happy with my order and get Great, Fast Service. Not the most broad menu, but for a healthy lunch or dinner that will fill you up and not break the bank its hard to beat.

The food and service is great. But the actual restaurant needs a makeover as far as the appearance goes. Other than that I will eat there for lunch every time I'm in the area

Great prices, pretty fast, like the flavors. Only problem is the place is pretty small and the floor is always super sticky; I don't think it is from lack of cleaning, it must just be something to do with the material.

I always like this place. Combo #2 is pretty good. Lunch for one, with a drink will run you ~$10, and quality is typically decent. It can get crowded at lunch time, and there is not a ton of seating.

Pretty good food, but not really a place you want to take your kids unless you want to receive some nasty "side-eye" from everyone there for doing so.

Called in my order half an hour early. Got there Abd my food wasnt ready for for 15 minutes. I was not expecting much, as this super authentic japanese resturaunt was staffed by white kids. The japanese culture art? Anime posters. The cultural representation? 3 issues of costco connections magazine and a catalog for chef uniforms. When i got my food, it was unappealing to look at. I ordered the curry chicken, and was given beef. The vegetables were potatoes that were chunked way too big and a bite of carrot. The beef was large peices of rubbery fatty garbage, litterally, i threw it away. What remained was not exactly enough curry sauce to mix with the rice they piled in. Curry sauce tasted good, but the meal was dissapointing. Im not going back.

Beef was super dried out, went to the trash. Rice was same as curry. Both iced tea and coffee was super sweet, even knowing its thai version. Cashier was friendly and nice. Thats about the only positive I have of this place. Might be different during day time with different cooks. But I dont think Ill try again.

This place is mediocre and therefore overpriced. I had a beef bowl and veggies. It's edible and probably relatively healthy but lacks flavor and the beef was over-cooked.

They actually lost my order that I just called in. I didn't get to eat there this time but last time the food was great!

I called ahead to place a order because I work 10 min away and was craving Japanese food. I only have a 30 min lunch break. When I called I asked first off "Can you make a Chicken bowl without rice?" They said "yeah of course we can we just do all veggies and chicken" I said "perfect I'll take the Chicken bowl with the extra veggies and can I add extra chicken with sauce on the side please" they again said "Yes of course but for an extra charge" I stated "No problem I'll pay extra" when I got to the reasturant the food was ready in a togo bag she read my order back "Chicken bowl extra veggies and chicken sauce on the side" I paid 1.75 extra for the Chicken and 1.00 extra for the Veggies. I get back to work to find 1.No extra chicken or veggies (my coworker had the same amount of both in her bowl) and RICE which was the whole reason for the extra meat and veggies. Worst part is I called and explained the situation to the girl who took my order. The manager came on the phone and said "we made it the way it was put into the computer we didn't mess up" please how did you not mess up when I asked for no rice? Not even a appologie only bring the food back and we can replace. I am on a timed lunch break at work that doesn't happen in the real world so basically I'm out 10 dollars for a meal I couldn't hardly even eat. I will never go to this establishment again not because the food is poor quality but becaue there customer service skills are lacking.

I had ordered a chicken bowl with an extra sauce and waited 35 minutes for my food before I had to get up and ask where it was and they never started it. Then the owner tried arguing with me about where my food was and about giving me my money back. I finally just left. will never go again!

The veggies in the veggie plate were boiled, thereby eliminating most of the flavors from the veggies, which consisted of about 92% green cabbage, 4% broccoli, and 4% carrots, all topped with a slippery and sweet sauce over hardish white rice. The tofu is fried. Inexpensive though if you just want to fill your stomach.

Ask and paid for extra veggies no rice. Never happens. Place has gone down hill. 1 poece of broccoli and two carrots. Ridiculous. Used to be really good.

Had the #2 combo beef and chicken. Dry out meat! No taste at all. Into the trash it went.

The food itself is 5 Stars! It's amazing, my fiance and I just moved to Chico and have been looking everywhere for something like this and it's delicious! We were fans instantly and want to keep coming, but we might try a different location. The 1 Star is for the service. We've only been here twice and both times the girl on front was very rude!!! No hello or smile just an ugly look given to us and our change and meals thrown at us. On our last trip we tried to clean up our mess and tried to ask the girl where the trash can was to throw our trash away and she rudely responded with "there's a garbage can outside" and didn't even look to acknowledge us. That was enough for us to not want to come back again.
