12/22/25 Didn't even get to try the food, as they decided to service their fryers in the middle of the day. Like, it wasn't even 2pm yet and its a major travel day before a major holiday. Who was the management or shift lead who made the call to be down for more than 30 mins without food available to float? WTH. Who chooses to do that in the middle of a shift? Didn't get tenders and my kiddos were severely disappointed, as was I. Seems like a good excuse to do nothing.

Likely the most filthy restaurant I’ve ever been to. To the point of disgusting - don’t even want to get a drink! Truly unbelievable. Not very busy, it’s only 11:20 so before the lunch rush!!?? The filth!

Front help was very rude! Been waiting 30 plus minutes for our food in the drive up and the people who pulled up and went in for food already came out and left with food to go! Appearance says a lot about people and they came dressed as if they just rolled out of bed! Take a little pride in yourself and job.

I went to get some food today, my friend & I ordered our food. We waited 30 min to get fresh chicken for her, both my chicken strips & Okra was cold, I politely told the manager that my chicken & Okra was cold, instead of offering to refund me my money, she argued & stated to me, that they were fresh, I said feel them to the manager, and walked off to avoid any conflict. If this is how you run your buisness, you ought to be ashamed, if we already was waiting on fresh chicken, I think the right thing to do, was also drop some new frozen Okra and fresh chicken strips also for me. I will not be going back. The only reason you received a one star, was because of your employees were very nice in engaging conversations, while we patiently waited.

Worst fast food experience I have ever experienced in my life. Words can’t even describe the experience we had here. Manger was awful, a bunch of kids with no leadership or skills running the front freaking out. I feel bad for the people working with this manger. It was an older chick with a bandanna and glasses out back smoking when we pulled up. She was yelling and cussing at these poor kids. She acted like she gave us a refund but honestly I don’t think she did. All I know is we needed to leave after sitting there for 33 mins. My child was with me which was even more embarrassing to have her see a place like this. She wanted to lock the doors but couldn’t because we were inside waiting for our food. Which we honestly didn’t want nor would eat after seeing what was going on here. This place should be shut down or have a new ownership. It was that bad. Needless to say don’t come here, don’t trust the food, just all around no. Awful awful awful 😢

Just ordered 2 2 peice dinners. One came with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The other with mac n cheese and a roll. We got a salad because we didn't order a drink. When ya order 2 chicken dinners, wouldn't ya think you'd get 2 chicken dinners. Not a mix and match. Wth? Not happy, and won't be back.

This location is absolutely horrible. The service is terrible. They are supposed to close at a certain but always have their lobby dopr shut way earlier. Order are typically missed up and when I have attempted to address this with the staff they have ignored me. Do not give them your business.

Didn't put any tenders in for the salad. Salad was slimy on bottom. Didn't get any gravy I requested twice and assured was in the bag. Terrible

First off , the customer service is horrible. Employees have attitude.. employees messed up my order . I got receipt of my order then blame me when everything was in black & white on paper . My order completely wrong . Then I get told if I didn’t like it . Was cussed out not once but twice my kids was in the vehicle. Plus found hair in mash potatoes. I’ve directed my attention to the health department Was told there was many complaints in review . Also employee smelled heavily of marijuana. Possibly why my order was wrong . With the concerns Employee was too high to comprehend his job. Hope management can get back to me .

We were so excited to try this place out. We stopped for the night and went to get food. Got to the window whoever was taking orders was very hard to understand, after asking a couple times what he was saying a woman chimed in amd said we have one thigh and one leg and couldn't not fulfill our order. She didn't give us the option to wait or say they were cooking more, just rude. So I can back later thinking that it had been an hour or so it's prime dinner time surely they would have food. When I return first off the lady taking orders in the drive thru was terribly rude and proceeded to tell me they didnt have this they didnt have that and that it would take 30 minutes to cook chicken tenders. I don't know if she had to kill and pluck the chickens or what, but that's crazy! Unfortunately, we didn't even get to try this place because the customer service was terrible! What a shame.

I never got to get food here as we were going to get some chicken to take to the motel room. I have never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes when we asked one of the 3 employees about who would take our order she grunted and pointed to another register. We moved there to be further ignored while her and a guy walked kinda aimlessly back and forth behind the counter. So we left and went down the road to the Mexican restaurant that was amazing so I am glad the staff at Golden chick were rude I found a great Mexican restaurant lol.

It was 11:30 a.m Dec 30th 2024 when we arrive and pull out on the drive thru but apparently no one is answering so decided to pick up the food inside. I saw 3 employees inside seating and there was another 2 smoking outside total of 5 employees. Went straight to the counter and no one would like to assist until 1 of the employee came to help but she said to give her another minute to get the counter code for the 1 of the employee outside. Ordered a family meal with the chicken fingers. The chicken fingers was freaking small and there was barely chicken inside it’s more flour than chicken. The chicken is also dry and chewy. The bread and fries was cold the gravy was clumpy. The employees uniform was dirthy and so was the inside of the restaurant there where fly’s all over the place. The only good food which was given to us was the fried Okra bcoz they still have to cook it and waited like 10 minutes for it to get cooked. The good part is we got the fried okra fresh. If you are traveling to hwy 287 on childress I would highly recommend to avoid buying to this store. They are ruining the reputation of golden chick. Worse Golden chick ever never again on this store🤮🤢
