So this was our second visit to this fantastic little Mexican/Seafood restaurant and we absolutely love it. We got a chance to meet the owner Arturo and some of his family. The food is amazing and the portions are very generous. This place has definitely become our favorite local spot! Dion & Susana
I stopped in for a quick bite & just wanted something light so I asked for seafood consomme (soup). It was so delicious & very filling for only a small cup. Presentation in an old school coffee/chocolate cup & a few lemons. It included bits of vegetables & even a small piece of fish. They have a HUGE menu of Mexican food & seafood (mariscos) so I plan to go back this weekend. Great omelettes too. Chilaquiles today! Mmm
Had a very nice breakfast experience. Went in around 920 AM Tuesday and had place to myself. The server quickly took my order of steak and eggs and plain cheese quesadilla. The complimentary chips and salsa kept me entertained while I waited for my food. It was a nice mild Red salsa that tasted fresh. The plate arrived and it was hot to the touch, a very nice detail as it kept my food warm. The cut of meat was well done, little grissle which was rendered smooth and the over medium eggs had buttery taste. Both plates had nice presentation and I'm sure the pictures of other reviews show how well this place serves meals. I wasn't able to finish the quesadilla, which was almost like a grilled cheese sandwich to the taste from the nice crust of cheese they put on it. I was given a to go container to pile up my leftover chips ( I was offered more when my food arrived ) and 1/2 order of quesadilla. Highly recommend, at the moment no alcohol was being served so keep that in consideration.
I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic the food tastes here. Their arroz and frijoles have that homemade flavor. Highly recommended! Adding to rave about their service. My mom moves a lot slower this days and I took her to La Sinaloense for lunch on Friday, Oct 10, 2025. The server, as soon as she saw us coming, my mom with a walker, opened the door for us. She asked about where we wanted to sit and then led us to a table. She closed the other door by the table we chose to avoid others from coming in and letting the cold wind in. She was patient and caring. Not all places are kind and friendly with people with disabilities but the server made us feel welcome and appreciated. I didn't ask for her name but she was wonderful. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. I like this place even more now. Oh, and my mom loved the music playing!
The food was incredible. Parking was accessible and safe. The interior of the restaurant was very clean and nice. Truly great service. They are very attentive to their business as well as their patrons. There is a wide variety of food and the portions are sizable. You can taste the freshness of the seafood and the hot plates were delicious. I highly recommend the campechano as well as their filete relleno. But really any plate that you order will be excellent.
Great food, very friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend!
First time here and definitely will come back. I came thinking that it was a Sea mar food place but it is not . It has all type of plates besides a wide variety of sea food. I had a tostada of Octopus with chamoy that it was really good if you enjoy chamoy flavor. If you don't like it that much avoid because it's actually the chamoy flavor that it's enhanced and not the octopus. I also tried the Octopus quesadilla and it was really good, I'd recommend it as a plate to share because it's really big. It's definitely a good place to get good food and regular good drinks like beer or micheladas. The service is outstanding. I really recommend this place.
We reserved the patio for our moms surprise 65th birthday and the people there were so kind and attractive and the food was absolutely amazingly delicious!! We will definitely be back..I can see why it's my mom's favorite place❤️
This restaurant is very nicely decorated with lots of places to sit and nice scenery. The food is a 10/10 including lots of flavor and huge sizes which can be shared with 2-3 people good for family’s looking to eat 5⭐️ food for good price.
Best restaurant breakfast I can remember of recent. You can tell you put a lot of love into their craft. I don't live in the area but I will want to make the drive and come back for dinner. Very soulful. Nice jazz music as well. Very relaxed environment at 10:30am on a Wednesday. The severs son was bussing tables so I assume it's a family establishment.
Cafe de olla was so delicious. Food was great with large portions. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. Good vibe and decorations.
Absolutely loved the food here. Parking felt easy, secure. The dining space looked spotless with a welcoming vibe. Service felt top tier, with staff fully focused on guests plus quality. The menu offers plenty of choices, with generous portions. Freshness shines through the seafood, while hot dishes arrive full of flavor. Campechano deserves special praise, with the filete relleno just as impressive. Every item ordered feels worth it.
Very tasty, very fresh and great service. Tons of food and great presentation.
Excellent food service music a little too loud but everything else was great
NEW REVIEW 12/3/2023 - Remains at 5 stars. My wife and I love to go out and eat at different restaurants. This has become an expensive tradition now that everything costs so much. We are currently visiting restaurants that have great food, good service and probably most important of all a good price. That is the criteria trifecta that we now go by. La Sinaloense has been good to use for a few years but now has become one of the few that we know so far that meet our criteria of a good restaurant. Service is excellent. The ladies that take care of us are so friendly and eager to help you that you can feel it. Sometimes the owner is our server, and you get to talk to her for a little bit. How nice is that. Food is plentiful, well-seasoned and overall delicious. My mom and I visited for breakfast today and told me that the food was great. I agree 100%. Prices are much better than other places. We get so much food and great service for a price that could be 50% to 100% more at other places. We appreciate La Sinaloense has kept prices as low as possible allowing us to visit more often. NEW REVIEW: Early today my wife and I decided to go get some food for breakfast and decided to visit La Sinaloense once again. Currently, you can dine-in or order to go. For us we decided to order to go by placing an order at the outside entrance of the restaurant. I had the steak and eggs and my wife had huevos rancheros plus a couple of coffees. After waiting outside the restaurant our server was nice to deliver our food directly to our vehicle. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We will be back. This restaurant moves up from 3 stars to 5 stars.
Experience swift, friendly, and attentive service at this gem of a spot. The food, brimming with the warmth of home-cooked meals, is delicious, generously portioned, and offers excellent value for money. The incredible staff, who consistently make you feel as if you're dining with family, elevate the experience. This has become my preferred destination for Mexican cuisine whenever I'm in San Diego or Chula Vista.
Best service in San Diego... My wife and I have been to most of the best restaurants in town, and La Sinaloense beats them all. It was a pleasure being there from the minute we entered. The decor is fun and they have live music. Very soon after they seated us they brought us some sea food broth that was spectacular, that was a nice way to start lunch. We looked through the menu and noticed most of the food is sea food, which is a small problem for us, because my wife is vegetarian, but they had items that she could eat, plus they said they would cook anything she wants (amazing people). My wife ordered the vegetable omelet, and I ordered the beef fajitas. Her omelet couldn't have been better, moist and full of flavor. My Fajitas were perfect, nothing pretentious, just good home cooking. I was so happy with the food I said we needed some dessert. We decided on the Churro and icecream, it was beautiful when it came to our table, it looked like a flower, and it was a nice way to finish our meal. Everyone was very nice when we left the restaurant, we are looking forward to our next time there.
Excellent food, imaginatively prepared with top notch ingredients. Has a great small town Mexico atmosphere. The waitstaff was friendly, efficient and professional. the seafood and the steaks were excellent and the portions very generous. Could not ask for a better experience. One caution, the calimari appetizers were disgusting, not even the dog wanted them. Everything else was out of this world good including the chips and salsa.
delicious food, huge servings, quick & helpful wait staff. we had a group of 16 of us, next to no spanish spoken, menu translated for us graciously unfortunately their liquor license had expired but they communicated this when booking and we didnt mind :) a great time!

Love this place! Great food! Great drinks! I take so my friends and family there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have easy online ordering too! A must try!
Fantastic place to eat. Service is fast, friendly and staff make you feel welcome. Food is delicious and portions are very generous! Have not had a bad plate of food in all my visits. Recommend any breakfast plate, Mexican or American... great food and large portions. Also the Caldo de Camaron y Pescado , a savory both with much shrimp and large chunks of fish. Outstanding!!!
I come here for the shrimp tacos. I like the en diablada, I don’t even think they’re on the menu anymore. You can’t go wrong with any of their shrimp tacos they’re all very good. There’s a pretty good taco Tuesday special but unfortunately none of the shrimp tacos are available with their taco Tuesday special. Atmosphere is very authentic. Food is a little pricey but very worth it!
The restaurant offered a balanced dining environment, where attention was placed on both the food and the service. Seating was available without much wait, and tables were maintained cleanly for new arrivals. The menu provided options across different categories, making it suitable for varied preferences. Food preparation times were reasonable, and dishes arrived warm. Drinks were replenished as needed, which showed attentiveness from the staff. The environment felt casual yet organized, which encouraged a comfortable dining pace. Overall, the experience was neither rushed nor delayed, and the restaurant delivered consistency that can appeal to a wide range of guests.

The staff is friendly, they acknowledge us once we get to the door. Waited a few minutes to go inside, this restaurant is clean and appealing!!!, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Food is excellent and the portions are generous !! Besides, they do provide a bottle of sanitizer at the main door and at each table.
The food is delicious! Authentic Mexican tasting food. Great seafood choices! The refried beans have an exquisite taste. My mother is very picky when it comes to food and she eats everything on her plate!! The service is friendly and prompt they accommodate and make you feel welcomed. The Ambience is refreshing they have outdoor seating as well. They have karaoke on Friday night.
I was in the area and wanted something kind of healthy, so I decided to order two tacos — one pescado a la plancha and one camarón a la plancha. I was a little bummed they messed up my order and gave me two pescado instead, but honestly, they were really good! I’m pretty picky when it comes to fish, but it had great flavor and wasn’t fishy at all. The salsas and chips were tasty too! I also tried their jugo verde — I love green juice, but not everyone makes it how I like it. This place actually makes a really good one! And staff were great too. Not mad at all but sad. I didn’t got to try the Camaron.
Food was amazing went for breakfast ended up with a big plate of carne. Well seasoned well cooked really delicious. The waffles were nice and soft and sweet too my favorite
Had to try the restaurant since it had a 4.6, and in reality I'd give it a 4.5, if I could half star, but there was a few issues; The food was great, very authentic and tender, flavorful, very similar to food down in Mexico and it didn't give off Cheap "Mexican restaurant" vibes. My server; Adair (which I'm assuming was his name since that's what my receipt said), was amazing, interactive and knowledgeable, making the experience worth it. My only issue was the Menu, genuinely. If you see the pictures, some items don't have prices (half the beverage menu doesn't have prices), the whole appetizer section did not have prices either, certain portions of the menu have decently detailed explanation on what the contents of the dish are, while others do not whatsoever. Same with calorie count (which doesn't bother me, but bothers some). The main issue with this is the fact that I had to ask the Waiter several times how much ________ was, and although he said the correct price, there could a confusion for another costumer and it would be an issue between them and the waiter/ waitress. All could have been avoided by simply adding the correct prices on the menu to begin with. (Additionaly the QR scanable menu on the table was scratched up/ illegible, yet another menu issue) I'd just like a menu that I can read and be like, oh this contains this, and it is this price. Aside from that, excellent service from staff, very quick and attentive. Bathroom was cleaned spotless, peaking into the kitchen looked very sanitary as well.
The service was great. We ordered various plates, and it all tasted good. Raised on mariscos sinaloense, this was good but not quite what I am used to. The Pozole was my favorite.

I’ve been here before and have always had good experiences. Today, my boyfriend and I decided to come back for the convenience since he was craving 7 mares and I wanted menudo. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to our previous experiences. My boyfriend barely touched his plate. He mentioned the broth tasted more like tomato soup than a seafood broth, with imitation crab and no mussels, and overall it didn’t taste very fresh. Normally, the food here is good, so this was disappointing. My menudo tasted like canned menudo… not bad, just not fresh. It satisfied the craving, but it wasn’t memorable. That said, the service was outstanding. Our server, a young man with black curly hair, was attentive and friendly and made the experience much better. The service is definitely a strong point; it was just the food that was underwhelming this time.

Local vibe, generous portions, friendly staff and that’s it. Food quality was subpar - heavily under seasoned, no spices, blend. We’ve got fish Coronado and couple different Camarones plates. A few shrimps were not cleaned through with pieces of shell… will not get back there.

Mexican seafood has gotten to be too expensive. I'm glad they made it very appealing to the eyes. For the price that they charged
I left California for 3 years and I don't know what happened to La Sinoalense, nothing to do with what it was before I left, food is mediocre, I had a craving for fish tacos and I regretted everything about them was a joke, Sinoalense NEVER AGAIN!!
I was very disappointed in food which was bland and completely lacking character. I am a big fan of good Mexican cuisine, but this one was a miss. Besides, half of the shrimps were not cleaned properly and had pieces of shell. Aji sauce was all butter and zero garlic. Margarita was very sweet and had zero alcohol. Service however was pretty good.

Very disappointed, I really payed $160 for this lol. First thing that got me was the double charge of $46 and $47. Two orders that appear on the menu to be $25 and $26. I could pay that same price for something way better at crab hub.... the shrimp nuggest were raw, the shrimp was raw. For some reason my calamari is black and taste like sardines. It's like a real disappointment. At first it was going good but then after receiving the order and opening the food I was really really disappointed. Not worth it. That's the $46 plate... tf everything is so slimy on my plate Que p u t o asco de verdad, mi esposa esta bomitando y ami me duele la panza. En verdad voy a reportar a este restaurante por asta los frijoles saben rancios. Me caga que no agregen los precios. Y aprendan a escoger el nopal que esas babosadas dan asco. Tuve que tirar todo a la basura... DONT COME HERE!
Came out here to try the menudo honestly it's was one of my worst experiences the menudo had a bad smell like if it was setting overnight and got reheat it me and my wife could not eat the menudo I ask if I could get a discount I didn't say I didn't wanted to pay for it since I didn't like it they could have given me a discount but they didn't I pay full price for some thing my wife and I didn't like don't recommend this place at all.
Stopped by on a Friday karaoke, the music and dj is good. Lots of empty tables. The chips are sitting under a heat lamp the salsa was watered down. The food is average at most. Had seen the other reviews and decided to try. Sorry but I would say if you want to eat good seafood go somewhere else. If you want to listen to some music and have a couple of drinks this is a good option.
Altho things can happen Im sorry this is unacceptable. I found a screw in my soup. I tried to call the restaurant to inform them and no one picks up. The restaurant responded on goggle reviews saying this is not our restaurant because we do not use those plates. I took the soup to go, this is my home plate. Take accountability and stop making excuses.
