Food is great I love coming here, sadly the place is small only 3 tables . My only complained is that I wanted the salsa from the fridge pre packetage and he refuse to give me that salsa and refered me to the salsa bar . I don't get why give me what I'm asking for, especially when theirs always a lot of people in the salsa bar

Ive come here for many many years, used to head straight there to grab a bite to eat with friends after school when I was younger and now ill make stops after work when I get the chance. There's no seating room considering how busy they get so dont plan to eat there, this a grab and go location. Sadly, thats where I noticed that the Lolitas motto of "Patience is the Essence of fine mexican food" kinda leaves this location with a weird level of service. it used to feel like that was true, and the food is still good...but like, they've changed the way they run the place to try and keep up with how busy and crowded this locations foot print dictates. 1. They stopped packaging salsa for pick up orders...so like you get there and then have to ladel you're salsa out of a gross bin that every body goes through, not a change i can embrace post covid; but also something that I've always found icky. 2. the staff always messes up you order. They will miss something, I promise, everytime. Just check your bag and call them out, they always do the right thing and fix it promptly. Maybe im being picky cause I love this spot so much due to nostalgia.

Some food was very good and some was just pathetic. The place is very small inside, 3 tables, and the middle one was being used for employee reviews or something. Not sure. The salsa is green, mild, and almost spicy. I think I'd much rather have Cholula than these 3 options. The music was a bit loud to be able to talk with a friend. There was always 3 to 4 employees behind the little counter, they seemed in excess for 2 registers and a drink machine. The good: 2 beef enchiladas, for $7.95 I'd get it again. 1 beef chimichanga topped with guac, lettuce, cheese, for $9.40. But it was served in a basket with a paper liner. The paper was getting ripped up when trying to cut it to eat. That's a very bad choice and made it difficult to eat. If it were in a to-go container or a plate I'm sure it would have been much more enjoyable. The bad: Chips and guac & cheese for $8.25. I expected chips and a dish of guac to dip. Not here you get few dollops of guac like a Nacho style, but about 75% chips are dry. Absolutely not worth the price, so many places chips and salsa is free. Maybe if they doubled the guac and added sour cream and jalapeño. Or charged maybe $5 as is. Just not worth it at all. The 3 rolled tacos with guac, and some powder cheese, for $6.05. These were not much larger than a pencil and empty at both ends. Where is the lettuce and shreaded cheese? These were just disappointing. Half the food was a 1 star and half was 4+ star. Would I go back again? Maybe but will the good stuff today could be the bad stuff next visit? There are many taco shops to try in the area.

I bought a 3 rolled taco. on the menu It said it was $4, and if you added sour cream and guacamole, it would be an additional $5.75. Bringing that to $5.75. Cool. But then I noticed the cute light skin guy brought the total up to $8 something. Wish the menu reflected what I actually paid. Caz what made it worse. Is the picture. There was no sour creme! And what rolled tacos doesn't come with lettuce and shredder cheese. At least sprinkle the cheese they did put on it, come on.. charge me and not even worth it. The beef taquitos were good, just would've been WAY Better. With the toppings one would expect.

This morning I got a Steak n Egg and a Chorizo burrito to share and the steak had zero flavor while the burrito was all egg and also super wet and soggy at bottom it was really bad. The Chorizo was very greasy and unflavored, and both tortillas seemed way undercooked. When I asked for salsas they made me wait to get my own as the salsa bar only has room for 1 person at a time despite them having salsas ready to go in the fridge behind the register. This is like a bad fast food style Mexican place, not a place that emphasizes quality or flavor

I actually stopped coming to this taco shop years ago because of poor customer service, and unfortunately, today reminded me exactly why. I decided to give them another chance, hoping things might have improved. The food was fine, but the service was disappointing. I politely asked for a couple salsa packs to go, and the employee refused even though there was literally an entire bucket of salsa packets sitting right behind her. It wasn’t a complicated or unreasonable request, just basic customer service. It’s frustrating when something so small and simple becomes an issue. Moments like that make customers feel unwelcome, and it’s exactly the kind of experience that made me stop coming here years ago. I really wanted to give this place another shot, but based on today’s interaction, I won’t be returning.

Never thought I'd say this, but this place has gone completely downhill. These locations were a staple in San Diego Mexican food for years but it's just not what it used to be. The last few times I've came I order a Carne Asada burrito but they seem to consistently give me a thin bean and sour cream burrito. The owners greed has cost this place it's soul, If I could give it a negative star I would. That's how much I'm disappointed with what's left of this place. This place went from Lolita's Taco Shop to No-lita's taco shop.

The world's customer service ever. Mexican food. There's nothing Mexican about it. And the cashier. She look 100% Mexican. Didn't even bother to speak Spanish at all. They didn't even bother to look at me in the eye. I want to go back and I do not recommend customers to go. They will have very, very bad experience.

This review is a bit different, I walked in today @10:52am asking the young man in the register if he could please give me change for a $20 bill since I wanted to help out a homeless man outside of 7/11. He was kind enough to do so but the rude comments that what seemed to be the manager and the other cashier was very disappointed. I’m really sorry man to had put you through that for trying to be kind and helpful. Its disappointing that I’m a customer that come in weekly and now I’m going to have a bad image of this. The two ladies did not have to be rude saying who he thought he was to be changing the bill for me. He could have just declined if you would have told him but honestly that was very disrespectful to him. I really hope the owner sees this review and put them on their spot. The food is always great but this experience was very disappointing.

I have been going to this place since they opened in 1984, but today I decided I was no longer going to support this business. The food is good, but the portions are ridiculously small, specifically their asada burrito. Their burrito is $9.95 and you get a huge flour tortilla with very little meat. I think their carne asada taco may have just as much meat if not more.

Service: I am highly allergic to avocado and requested no guacamole (which was listed in the description). I then asked if there was any avocado at all in the dish and the cashier snapped "You already said no guacamole... I got it". In my years of experience with Mexican food, I have requested no guacamole and had my food arrive with avocado slices or something similar. The cashier's response was unnecessary. Food: I ordered a small Tsunami Fries (carne asada + shrimp). There was practically zero cheese (see pic). Additionally, I consume far more salt than I should on a daily basis and this dish was too salty for me. The fries and carne asada were so heavily salted that I ended up just picking out the four shrimp and throwing the remainder of the food in the trash. This was my first and last visit to Lolita's.

I’m DONE with this Location, maybe even the chain itself. This is not the first time but maybe the 6th time and y’all got me FED UP. I ordered for takeout and I get all the way back home to find out my order is wrong, yet it’s correct on the receipt. FIRST I ordered a bean and cheese burrito that was legit the size of a hot pocket for $5.25. Then I ordered 5 rolled tacos with only sour cream and cheese for my daughter, came with no sour cream or cheese, just guacamole and she doesn’t like guacamole (yet). This isn’t the first time something like this has happened at this location , but it is the last at this location. Carne asada fries with no carne asada, orders the complete opposite from what I ordered etc. I know mistakes happen but this was not a mistake and I am sure. I loved this place 10 years ago, but its been like this since and I won’t be back at this location or any of the locations. I’ve had enough, y’all don’t deserve my business. I know that comes with a grain of salt with the customers you still have, but YOU ARE losing loyal customers. I’m going to Don Pedro’s from now, they get it right EVERY TIME. And y’all won’t do anything to make it right…..
