Opinions de Olive Garden Chula Vista
This restaurant never disappoints. I have visited many times and every experience has been consistently amazing. The pasta dishes are absolutely incredible, rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. The fettuccine is always perfectly prepared and full of creamy goodness. One appetizer that truly stands out is the stuffed ziti fritta, which is crispy on the outside and wonderfully indulgent inside. Every bite feels satisfying and memorable. The staff are always warm and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even better. Easily one of my favorite places for Italian food.
Olive Garden is usually my go to spot for pasta. So far I haven’t had any bad experience regardless of the location. For this one, keeping it simple, food is good, place is decent, and staff are nice and attentive.
I’m just writing this review because today I had the best customer service I have ever received. As a previous employee of a fast food restaurant I know the importance of treating customers with kindness, Diego was very kind, attentive and helpful, there should be more people like Diego!
The greeter, the front desk attendants and the servers gave a Great Presentation & Great vibes! Special thanks to server Caleb for going above and beyond, he gave us a great customer service on this special day! 2-14-2026 7:30pm-
I thought the days of excellent waiters were long gone— until today. Edgar was our waiter and he was very attentive, thoughtful and humorous. Thank you for the excellent service Edgar! We’ll be back again very soon.
Food is delicious and prices affordable. Service is terrific and wait times are reasonable. It had been a long time since our last visit and I loved the decor and atmosphere. Look forward to another visit soon.
I had an issue with a to-go order recently, but Yamilet was so kind and helpful when I spoke with her on the phone. She resolved the issue, made me feel valued as a customer, and because of her great service, I’ll definitely be coming back to this location.
Another perfect location for a dinner date or a family meal. We usually pick this location because even when there is a line, you don't wait too long for a table. The servers are well verse on the menu specials and always have a suggestion with a smile. The food is always good, the never ending pasta special is a must!!!. You definitely get your money's worth. 10/10.
Olive Garden offers a reliable and satisfying dining experience, and my recent visit was no exception. I started with the Toscana soup and salad combo, both of which were fresh and flavorful. The soup had a comforting, hearty taste with a nice balance of spices and ingredients, while the salad was crisp and vibrant, topped with a classic Italian dressing that added just the right tang. For my main course, I chose the chicken Alfredo, and it was absolutely delicious. The creamy Alfredo sauce was rich without being overwhelming, coating the tender pieces of chicken and perfectly cooked pasta. Each bite was smooth and flavorful, showcasing the classic flavors you’d expect from a well-made Italian dish. Overall, Olive Garden provided a warm and enjoyable meal with a good variety of dishes that feel both familiar and satisfying. The combination of fresh starters and a hearty entrée made for a comforting dining experience that I’d happily return to. It’s a great spot when you’re craving classic Italian flavors in a casual setting.
We really enjoy this Olive Garden location. Every member of the staff that I’ve had contact with has been super kind. The food comes out quickly and is always hot and fresh. I’ve been to many locations and this one is probably my favorite because of the great customer service that I have received. The must try menu items include the Zuppa Toscana soup, the Shrimp Scampi, the breadsticks, the Five Cheese Ziti, the Green Apple Moscato Sangria, and the Peach Raspberry iced tea!
I was very impressed with the service that I received tonight from ALL the staff. Amairany was out server and she was very attentive, she made suggestions for us. You can tell that she loves her job. She goes above an beyond as a server The food was warm and delicious and we will definitely come back again . We love this location .
Great service! Love the vibes Sophia was our waitress so sweet and caring it’s really embarrassing seeing customers make a scene to either get free food or get discounts just go to Jack in the Box Olive Garden don’t want your drama I’m pregnant and seeing that scene today made my appetite go away anyways Olive Garden here is the bomb love y’all!

Second time stopping by this location, both times for a special occasion. 1st time for an anniversary, 2nd time for my birthday. The 1st time service was 10/10 even though it was busy, the food was great, and the server had great recommendations for a first-time customer. This second time around there was no wait and we were seated quickly. The server was quick to ask for our orders, but we had just sat down and needed more time. She looked pretty annoyed when we asked for more time. (never asked if we were there for a special occasion or tried to make any small talk) She seemed annoyed the whole time she was our server. Once we placed the order we waited about 15- 20 min for our drinks and breadsticks. The appetizer was there 10 min after, and the pasta came out 10 min after that. Overall, I was not too happy with the wait time for the food or the server's attitude. Will still recommend solely based on the food and atmosphere.
Food was amazing, waiter was very friendly, the hostess was rude. I walked in and saw a guy and 2 girls chatting as we waited to be seated they continued their conversation and made us feel unwelcomed. The friendly waiter (i forgot her name but she spoke spanish) was very friendly. The food and herself made up for the hostess.
It's been almost 10 years since I've been here. The wait was always too long but this time it was only 15 minutes. Ivan was our server, it was a pretty busy evening and he was hustling back and forth! Very attentive and checked on us frequently. We had the all you can eat soup, salad and bread sticks. Also tried the spaghetti. Overall pretty good food the gnocchi soup was our favorite! Tried the Tuscana and minestrone soup. The salad was fresh and flavorful, bread sticks were a bit dry but not too bad. I do remember them being incredibly good. Having good service makes all the difference especially when it's so crowded. But did enjoy our visit. Went back and tried the ravioli carbonara it was delicious! Huge portion!

A regular customer of yours. Overall, this is a good place to eat. Staff are courteous. There are a few positive criticisms; I would reduce the amount of dressing on the salad. Salads are supposed to be salads, not soups. The amount of cheese in eggplant parmesan needs to be reduced. It overpowers the eggplant flavor.

I am incredibly disappointed that I have to craft this email. And as a long-time fan of Olive Garden for over 25 years, I wish I didn’t have to. On Saturday morning, January 31st, my wife and 20 other African American women from various churches around San Diego, between the ages of 50-85, arrived at the Olive Garden located at 585 I Street in Chula Vista. The reservation was made by "Joni." I took a screen shot of your Google landing page's "popular time" feature, because I wanted to make sure that my hunch was right, and it was. That particular location is not very busy during the 11:00 am - 12:00 pm time frame. But that's beside the point. They were in the private section when the manager, "Albert," set the tone and was incredibly rude to my wife and the entire party from start to finish. This is a gathering of older, mature, church-going women, so imagine their surprise when they were verbally accosted with a stern warning after praying and singing a church hymm (not very loudly, I might add). They were much more quiet than the annoying and obnoxious singing of "Happy Birthday" to guests that literally disturbs the entire restaurant. All I'm going to say is it's not always what you say, but how you say it. Clearly, Mr. Albert has an axe to grind. I should also add that none of the guests complained. In fact one of the guest complimented them on their respectful display of their faith. I think Mr Albert is in serious need of customer service training (or re-training, because the first time didn't take) as well as sensitivity training. I doubt very seriously he would want his mother treated the way he treated those women. Unless, of course, he doesn't have one; which would explain a lot. The main server, Abraham (go figure!), and his fellow servers were the one bright spot during an otherwise dismal experience. If things don't work out for Mr. Albert, I have a great suggestion for his replacement. On top of that the food wasn't very good. The soups tasted like they were watered down and the salad tasted like trash! I know this, because she brought it home for me to tast it. Yuck!! How in the world do you mess up a salad? Olive Garden...smh. What happened? When did you lose your way? I thought Olive Garden was all about family, community...the neighborhood. But clearly to Mr. Albert, that neighborhood has to be a certain color; or religion; or both.
Updating to 3 stars - I reached out to their regional general manager and she took my issues seriously. I appreciated their efforts in addressing the concerns. Talk about a drop off. This restaurant has lost its way. Flavorless and unappealing entrees, mediocre wait staff, and we literally had to beg the manager for our first bread serving 20 minutes into our visit because they were “prioritizing take out orders”. The manager was unapologetic and annoyed that we dared ask her for the basic elements of our Olive Garden meals. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Include a disclaimer on the menu if you share a salad and soup when both dishes are included. You can't share; the waiter was very rude. I couldn't finish my dinner. He mention We will be charged if we asked for more salad and soup. My wife was only served one time Is not unlimited false advertisement
Olive Garden: Lower Standards Than a Field Rations or Slave Ship’s Galley Came here expecting basic, forgettable Italian food and left with a new appreciation for institutional cooking. It took over an hour to get our food. Not “busy dinner rush” long — more like “we forgot you exist” long. When the plates finally arrived, everything was cold. Pasta, soup, entrées — all of it had the temperature and enthusiasm of leftovers abandoned on a counter. I have eaten MREs in the field that were better than this. Cold weather, red lens on, sitting on a pack — still better. At least an MRE shows up on time, doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not, and never arrives lukewarm while charging restaurant prices. I’ve had jalapeño cheese and crackers that delivered more joy and reliability than this entire meal. I’ve also had better food and service on a ship when we literally ran out of food. We were down to peanut butter packets and ketchup. That was the menu. And somehow, morale was higher, service was faster, and expectations were met. Nobody pretended it was fine dining, but it was honest, it was prompt, and it didn’t waste an hour of my life before disappointing me. The staff was polite, but politeness doesn’t fix cold food or time lost. Endless breadsticks don’t compensate for a kitchen that can’t execute the basics. Final Verdict: If MREs and “PB & ketchup night” beat your food and service, something is fundamentally broken. Save your money, save your time, and eat literally anywhere else.
I love Olive Garden, but this visit was really disappointing. The wait was long, which I understand, but the service itself was not good. We didn’t receive water for about 30 minutes, and no one even greeted us for the first 15 minutes. Thank goodness we were able to order appetizers on the tablet, otherwise we would’ve been sitting with nothing. Our bread and sauce arrived before our server did. Three different employees mentioned they were going to bring appetizer plates, but it took about 40 minutes for them to actually arrive. Overall, the service felt unorganized and inattentive. I usually enjoy coming here, but this experience definitely missed the mark.

Chula Vista's Olive Garden: Edgar, The Star of Your Italian Night Out
When you think of Olive Garden, you probably envision a familiar comfort, a place where you know what to expect – endless breadsticks, hearty pasta, and a reliable meal. But here in Chula Vista, our local Olive Garden offers something truly special that elevates the entire experience: service that shines so bright, it’s become the talk of the town.I've been hearing quite a bit about the exceptional team there, particularly one server named Edgar. It seems he's not just a waiter; he's a true h...
Chula Vista Olive Garden: Beyond the Endless Breadsticks?
You know Olive Garden. Everyone does. It's that familiar Italian-American spot, promising a taste of Italy without needing a passport. Our Chula Vista location, tucked away, offers its own unique spin on this national chain, and I recently popped in to see what locals are saying. What really stands out, and warms your heart, is the service. There's a buzz about the staff going above and beyond. One recent diner raved about a waiter who truly made their night, not just with excellent attention
