First time I ordered from this restaurant. They give you good portion sizes for what you order. Burritos are huge. The food is delicious. I'll be definitely coming back. Thanks Tu Taco Shop!

My kids LOVED their Hot cheeto carne asada burritos. As you can see by the picture they cut the burrito in half to serve it because it is so big. They make the burrito just like every other carne asada but they wrap it in a second tortilla that is sprinkled with a powder of hot Cheetos. My oldest son is very particular with his food and enjoyed it immensely. Be prepared to pay a hefty sum but it is well worth it.

The tortilla was fresh and everything we had tasted great! I'm not a fan of the hot Cheetos stuff because I have a pretty dang high tolerance for spicy food so it didn't really add anything for me, but it does look cool and was fun to try. It would be awesome if they had a Cheetos cheese powder option(maybe they do, we had ours delivered), just the powder, not the Cheetos grounded up. We'll be regulars from now on!

Bomb and pretty decent prices. For less than $40 bucks you can get dinner for four. I recently bought large asada fries, the Kalifas burritos and two tacos de asada. I ordered via phone and was ready in 15 minutes. The service was polite and the dinning was cleaned but very different from the last time I visited.

Big Portions, Friendly Staff, Good Food and delicious Salsa!! We tried to flamin mozzarella sticks, they were decent, maybe if they tasted like hot cheetos they would be better. My son ordered a torta, and I got the flamin carne asada fries, they gave us a hearty serving, my daughter got the flamin takis burrito, thing was huge!! Reheated our leftovers in the evening and they tasted even better!

I had previously posted a five-star review praising their Flamin' Hot Burrito because it was indeed very scrumptious. So scrumptious that I even got my father hooked on them, and he's a hard man to please when it comes to food. Now here's the big BUT. Recently we've noticed that there seems to be less and less chipotle sauce on both the Flamin' Hot Burrito, and fries which is a real shame given that this is what adds to its overall flavor without letting the Cheeto dust overpower the meal and leave you with a dry product. I'll be giving it another try soon to verify if this is rectified or not, and will review my update accordingly.

They had good music playing when I came in🎤🎵🔥 and as lo the cook in the morning was Victor. He is a cool dude. He hooked me up with a bomb breakfast burrito. If you go before 1230pm the breakfast burritos are only 5$!

This place has some of the most delicious fries. I have not gone for about two years and was really upset at the portion size. Definitely not worth the $17 I paid for. It was however delicious.

Overall good food but it has been on a slight decline. I used to come often before and the food was great. However, the past 3-4 times that I have been here the food has been meh or something from my order has been missing. Prices are not cheap but they are competitive relative to what other taco shops charge. Will most likely keep coming whenever im back in town but they for sure need to do some improvements.

Mediocre at best. The food isnt exactly low quality, but i wouldn't say it's great either. Seems a little overpriced considering a burrito doesnt come with cheese or sour cream at all. Best part about the shop us that it's a block and a half away from my house so it's easy to walk to.

Ok I'm a person who loves looking for new locations on mexican food. Saw this place a couple of times. Finally came in to eat. Location is small can only seat 16. Agua fresca need ice or get them more colder. Had the carne asada burrito. The meat was tender and juice but a bit on the salty side. The Pico de Gallo needed to be spread out more it was to mich on one side of the burrito. But over all it's a good place I will give it a second chance maybe try a item with flaming hot Cheetos or the milanesa torta.

My boyfriend and I came into this restaurant from out of town. We were recommended this place from a friend who lives in and area and who loves hot cheetos. We got two of the hot cheeto burritos, hot cheeto mozzarella sticks and an horchata. The burritos were huge and that was a great plus, the tortillas taste like they're freshly made at a Mexican market (I love those tortillas). Unfortunately with the hot cheeto burrito, you don't really taste the hot cheetos. My boyfriend was thinking hot cheetos inside of the burritos would of been better, or cheeto flamin hot fries. Definitely needs salsa to make the burrito shine. I think the French fries inside hid the taste of the hot cheetos even more. As for the mozzarella sticks, we are lucky that we only got the 6. Unsure if these would be better made at home or I'd they're just not a good idea in general. We weren't impressed, unfortunately. They have no ice for the drinks. You can have a warm horchata or juice. I always finish my horchata, this was a NOPE. That's weird not to have any ice. Overall, maybe if it was the only place around, I'd get the burrito again, with salsa. Otherwise, I'm sad to say this place is hyped up over hot cheetos. However the steak in our burritos was awesome, so their actual Mexican food is probably awesome.

The price of the food at this establishment went up. But the quality of the food did not follow. But, I have to be honest, the mozzarella sticks were the only item good on the menu. So two stars. The pizza establishment next door was amazing.

I live in the area. Been coming here for at least 6 years. Never had any issues but just got 2 carne asada burritos and 60% of each one was ONIONS @ $21.75. Lort, please know I will never be coming back. The quality has slid so far back I think you need to start over.

The food is pretty good but the menu says one price and they charge you something else. Bought a carne asada quesadilla, the menu says $9.75 and I was charged $10.50 plus tax and they charge a 0.65 credit card fee. Ended up paying $12 for a small quesadilla. Will not come back to this place. I can pay $12 for a giant quesadilla filled with birria for that same price elsewhere.

Had the hot cheeto burrito looked great. Problem is the meat is way to salty, add hot cheetos and you just eating salt. The salty meat over flavored the hot cheetos.

The store closes at 10pm. If you try calling at 9:44pm dont worry they wont answer the phone. I called 2 times with no answer. On the third call they answered telling me to try again tomorrow then told me that the store closes at 9:45. I only wanted to order a burrito would have only taken 5-10 min. I was walking towards the store as i was calling. Then in a distance after they answered my call i saw them closing the door. Upon inspection it says clearly at the door that they close at 10pm. They saw me (the cook and the cashier) telling me with handsigns that they were close. Then i pointed at the hour 10pm thats written all over the door. The cashier attended me at the door, telling me it was closed. I responded that i had arrive 10 min before closure, but she told me that 9:45pm was the last order. I told her i called 3 times until they ansered me, but she insisted they were closed. I told her i just wanted a burrito, the cook was just standing there at his station watching and listening to the entire conversation. It was really dissapointing. They didnt want my money. FYI last time i ordered here they gave me the wrong order, i called so they told me i can go back and get my order. When i returned home i got a really sad burrito. I mean really sad. The entire thing was just sloppy. Usually the burrito are nice and packed. It felt like it was my fault. If you are in chula vista and like burritos i suggest go to los taquitos on 3rd. Only bummer is cash only. Its good though. :)

We went in about 2 hours before closing and the cook was super unsanitary. First of all he wasn’t wearing a mask, second he never washed his hands before he started to cook our food. When we got there he was outside using his phone. With covid I would at least wish he could wash his hands. While cooking he was talking with the cashier can you imagine all the spit in our food? He grabbed the hot Cheetos dust with his hands and sprinkled it on top of our chimichanga. We ordered the hot Cheetos Burrito & it was super dry... Also the Hot Cheetos cheese sticks are gross! We literally threw our whole food away. I don’t recommend.

Horrible. I came in for a Cali burrito and a flamin hot burrito. I specifically asked what the Cali burrito had so I could add other ingredients before it was made. The cashier told me it had pico and guac. So I added sour cream. When she handed me the receipt they had over charged me for my order. They were different prices on the board than on the receipt. I checked the Cali burrito to make sure they had added the sour cream. The tortilla looks super old and it only had sour cream. I asked why it didn’t have the guac and pico and the cook said it was bcuz it didn’t come w it???????? The burrito was very cold. Do not recommend this shop.

Don’t come here unless you want hair in your food and to be served by unprofessional people. I came here with high expectations and was left unhappy and feeling sick. After finding a hair in my food (towards the end of my meal sadly) I told the owner and he immediately denied and accused me and my brother instead. I told him it couldn’t be my hair because my hair is too long and my brothers is lights brown. He still denied even though he had a longer beard and no beard cap, I’m not sure if the cooks are allowed to have longer beards. After all this he said he could offer me a small portion. I did not want that I wanted my money back. I paid 12 dollars for chips with a hair in it. I was disappointed in the apparent owner.

Im not a karen and I DONT really write reviews BUT I woke up throwing up this morning and the only thing I can think of would be this. I hate that Im writing this review bc I actually like this place. Inwork down the street and during the day time lunch is always hitting but last night my brother and I came for dinner and the disappointment. idk if the drop off of quality goes between workers and shifts but last night was ridiculous. Our orders were simple nothing complicated just carne asada nachos w/o guac and add chipotle sauce, and wild fries with no yellow/white cheese sauce. This was the food that was served (a couple bites taken and added hot sauce to the nachos but no exaggerating) the food came out looking like this. They got both orders wrong, did not do what we asked and actually got things mixed up and the presentation wasn’t appealing either. Whoever the cook was last night you guys should just get him outta there bc I know the quality of food this place puts out and this WASNT IT 🤢 Responding to owner: We came in as walk ins, those pics were taken at 6:40pm on 11/03/25.

Sucks bc the spot has potential but needs to do better especially if you are going to be a pricey spot for burritos etc
