I visited Harmon’s BBQ at 102 S Main St, Cibolo, TX this afternoon. At first glance, it’s everything you’d expect from a classic small-town Texas barbecue joint—rustic wood-paneled entry, a “Welcome GNOME” sign, and vintage décor like a retro Gulf gas pump and mounted bison head. Inside, the space opens up into two large dining areas filled with checkered tablecloths, sports memorabilia, and a lively family-friendly atmosphere. I ordered a tray of BBQ ribs, sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and creamed corn. The ribs were smoky and tender, with a slightly sweet bark. The brisket leaned on the leaner side, but still had a good bite. The sides were comforting and creamy, and the complimentary slice of white bread gave it that old-school touch. Unfortunately, there was an issue that affected the experience. The bottle of hot sauce on my table appeared to have visible mold or contamination near the top, and I noticed the taste was slightly off. Although I had a normal bowel movement earlier in the day, I experienced mild diarrhea not long after the meal. I can’t confirm the cause, but the state of the condiment bottle was concerning and should be addressed for food safety. I hope this feedback helps maintain Harmon’s reputation, as the atmosphere and food quality show a lot of potential.

Definitely a must if on the NE part of San Antonio, the place was nice and definitely has some soul to it. Food was great, sausage was juicy and the potato salad was incredible. Brisket was very good, not dry at all, bread was very soft and delicious! It was definitely a good birthday dinner for myself and will come again!!!

1st time in San Antonio, Won’t be the last! My brother and I had lunch here over the weekend. I got the 2 meat platter with brisket and turkey with collard greens and Mac and cheese. He got brisket and ribs with crème corn and Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious but the turkey was amazing! We both got a peach cobbler to finish up and it was delicious as well. We will be back!

I had an event there and we rented their room for my boyfriend’s surprise party! We had about 40 people. The staff was very professional and communicated with me the entire time. The process was extremely stress free and we had a wonderful event. My boyfriend loved his food and so did the guests. The food was excellent and the catering staff was there early and bar staff was there early too. Thank you!!!

Hidden in the heart of Cibolo, Harmon’s is an absolute gem! The moment you step inside, you’re transported to an old Texas town, and the mouthwatering aroma of the food makes it impossible not to want everything on the menu. The brisket is tender and perfectly cooked, the sausage bursts with flavor, the smoked pork is divine, the turkey is packed with bold flavors, and the ribs? Absolutely to die for. The cream corn is a sweet, comforting delight. Portions are hearty and satisfying, so come hungry! Don’t miss the spud and the brisket mac ‘n cheese—both are simply amazing. The ambiance is calm and welcoming, with great country music playing softly in the background. Parking is easy to find and hassle-free, which is always a bonus. I can’t recommend Harmon’s enough—this place is a must-visit for anyone in the area!

We had Harmon's cater our wedding, and the food was great as always! (The bride and groom only had a couple bites; due to the anxiety, but everyone else was raving over the food!) We placed our order for brisket, sausage, potato salad, and beans; they fulfilled the large order with no issues and with ease! They provided the utensils, tea, and all the fixings! I always recommend Harmon's to anyone in or around the area!

This hard-working staff delivers! We had two 1 meat plates (chicken and brisket). Two sides each $12.75 I asked for a "well done" chicken and they delivered! Char coat was sweet and savory with tender smoke flavored underneath. Amazing. Sides were Meaty Beans with Cole slaw and Creamed Corn all homemade. Excellent large double dip servings. No need to pay for drinks as they offer limes and sweetener gladly...Ala limeade! Go visit to find Mr Harmon in the back..and clean tables and floors. God Bless

First time visit on a friend’s recommendation. The usual meat offerings in plates, sandwiches and combos were available. I’m partial to brisket so I had that with potato salad and coleslaw. I was impressed with the generous tender brisket portion and tasty sides. The atmosphere was authentic for Texas barbecue restaurants with wooden tables, metal signs and delicious foods. The food and service are what matter most and this place does not disappoint. The front of house is cozy with a few tables, drinks and condiments station but they have a large seating area in the back for large parties and more seating. I brought half my lunch home as the portions were large. I’m happy I visited and highly recommend this place.

Simple, no frills BBQ that's good for large parties and has been around for years. They removed the self-service bread, onions, pickles, and jalapenos they used to have, but food has been somewhat consistent. You order at the window, take a number, pick up your food, pour your own drinks, then bus your table when you leave. There's not much service or interaction after placing your order. We came as a large party so we ordered a few plates of different meats and sides. Also, ordered a family meal. Had all the usual meats, sides, and a few desserts. Food was good, but quality has gone down over the years. However, is still worth a visit when you want BBQ while in the area.

Meh just ok bbq and disappointing considering the reviews - keep looking. Ribs were too dry and tough, potato salad was more like cold mashed potatoes, and sweet corn was basically creamy soup with bits of corn in it. Didn't realize it was a self-service restaurant where you order at cash register and pick up your food from the counter so there's no service provided. The water from the sofa fountain tasted weird and I wonder how sanitary it was. Not a fan.

Was craving some BBQ and harmons happened to be open still! Tried to order online but they weren't accepting online orders. Called and was able to place an order. Most everything was sold out about an hour before closing time. I guess I should have held off for another day... We ordered 1.5 lbs of moist brisket and 1/2 lb lean. There were a few cuts of lean thrown in with the 1lb of moist and the 1/2 lb of moist was kind of just chopped up?? Sadly both the moist and lean were dry. End of the day so I tried to give some slack. Well the sides is what really had us disappointed. Sold out of Mac, ok. Cole slaw had NO FLAVOR. somehow it was wet, but basically just crispy cabbage. The creamed corn was atrocious. When you opened the container it was a grey, brown tone... Very thick like gravy. Taste was... Interesting. The potato salad was none like we'd seen before... Sweet peas and carrots, in a mostly mashed and dry potato mixture. The sauce reminded me of grocery store bottled sauce. The best thing I can say is the green beans were great! Salty but the best part of the meal... Had high hopes but @$130 I don't think we'll be back.

I have passed by many times and have always wanted to try their food. So the first time I finally go to try I am met with a short heavy set girl with glasses that immediately flipped their open sign to closed before I could even put my hand on the door to walk in. On appl maps your hours say 11-8. I approached their door at 6:55pm. I felt completely insulted and humiliated for being treated this way. I guess I will never know how good your food is.

Heard about this place. Saw the daily special was brisket stuffed potato. Went inside. Saw the chalkboard had stuffed baked potato on it. Waited in semi-long line to order. Ordered and she says they do not have any potatoes. Since there was a long line behind me and I didn’t have time to read the menu and figure out what to eat and didn’t want to hold up the line I just said OK and left. Very disappointed.. if they had put on their chalkboard they had no potatoes I would’ve ordered something else.
