Maxipollos is a true gem in Tampico with many years in the city, I have childhood memories of this places and it's fried chicken, rotisserie chicken and burritos! Management has recently evolved the branding and menu, my kids love the chicken fingers and I crave the new maxiburger (chicken sandwich). Recommended stop when in Tampico.

I bought two rotisserie chickens, half a coleslaw, and a bag of fries. The food was good, but they were tiny, haha, which is why I bought two. Even so, they were tasty and juicy. What I didn't like much was the customer service. As I was leaving, I realized I'd forgotten some gifts, and they didn't even tell me, even though one of the guys noticed and didn't say anything.

It's a chicken restaurant, but the product I buy here is the burritos. They're the best and tastiest in the entire region. Highly recommended and always freshly made. Only 15 pesos each. It's located inside a very nice new shopping plaza. They allow credit card payments and have ample parking.

BEWARE OF THE OWNER! I've been eating their chicken a la canasta for over 35 years, and beware, it's my favorite. But lately, it's turned out stringy and dry, typical of day-old chicken. They probably combine day-old chicken with leftover chicken.

Terrible home delivery service. 1 hour and 30 minutes later, they didn't answer the phone. They used WhatsApp, which is in high demand, but they couldn't tell me what had happened to my order. They just stopped responding, so I had to cancel and look for another option.

I had always bought chicken there and it was always a good-sized chicken with good presentation, but a few days ago I ordered a chicken and a supposedly $240 chicken arrived at my door and it came in a bag. From what I could see, it barely fit in the palm of my hand. It wasn't even a pigeon. When I called their phone number, they told me that they weren't the branch that only took orders, but they very kindly told me that if the product hadn't been delivered and put in the address yet, I could return it.

This time we decided to give Maxi Pollos another chance. Honestly, it's a dump, not worth the money. This time we ordered rotisserie chicken and surprise, it wasn't rotisserie, it was baked, and overcooked at that. Plus, they didn't even bother to remove the string to shape the chicken. So many years... they used to be so good, and now it's a mess.

The home delivery service should be discontinued because it seems like it's just for show. I waited more than two hours for the order, and it was reported that there were "system glitches" and that it would take an hour. However, it never arrived, and when I called again to at least ask if it was on its way, they rejected all direct calls to voicemail. It's a shame because I was a long-time customer, but it's been declining lately.

Very poor service. The staff at Maxi Pollos Plaza Esmeralda are very despotic. They don't deliver my order. My order didn't arrive after 2 hours. You call and they hang up on you. The chicken was so badly cooked that it looks like you're eating rubber bands.

It's a shame that the service and customer service detract from the delicious flavor of your food. We placed an order via WhatsApp, as suggested on your social media, and when we arrived, they didn't have it ready. We ordered it and agreed to wait, but the lady came back half an hour later saying that the kitchen hadn't taken our order yet again. It's worth mentioning that while they were trying to reach an agreement, employees got into a fight, shouting at each other in front of all the customers present. We waited for over an hour and had a poor experience with your service.

I'm sorry to say that today's chicken in a basket was terrible. It was cold and didn't seem freshly prepared. This isn't a complaint, just an observation, as I usually stop by for chicken or salad at least once a week and it's always been a pleasure. We live nearby, and I remember coming all the way from downtown as a child to buy the delicious chicken from "MAXI POLLOS."
