I am from Mexico and I am very picky about my Mexican food. This place was really good, the food was fresh and tasty and the staff was pleasant. Very few customers so we didn't have to wait long for our food. We are La Parrillada,this is not for two, this is for four people. So yum!!

Always love the food and service. You experience the quality of their food as soon as the on the house chips and salsa are served. The salsa is perfectly seasoned and the strawberry margaritas are on point. I love that they have pool, foosball, and air hockey tables. My family enjoys tequilas often.

Pretty darn good home style cooking and an excellent salsa. Not only are they open late for eating but they also stay open up to the restaurant closing time, which is a relief now days where restaurants stop taking orders well before closing time. We had the Carnitas The dish was very good, moist, not dry as some places serve it. DONE RIGHT!!!!

Food was absolutely great but we had some issues with the service. The English menu seems to be out of date, especially as far as prices. We got refunded after a loud debate but left with not such a good feeling (now I do understand these restaurants are designed mainly to serve the local Latin community, hence only one star down despite the fact I don't think I'll ever return).

Great prices for the lunch menu and large portions. Super yummy Caso dip and salsa bar with warm chips. Friendly staff. The restaurant is bright and cheerful and not over done. Has a bar and pool hall. They overall did a great job with the place. I will be back 👌👏

Food was fresh, tasty, and well prepared. I liked the option of fajitas on the lunch menu at a lower price for lunch sized portion. Service was slow but friendly. Loved the privacy of the booth.

Some of the best Mexican food and margaritas in Lake County. If you're on a budget or don't want to take food home, I recommend the tacos or a chile relleno a la carte. Very reasonable. Be aware, if you sit in the enclosed booths, you may need to catch passing waitresses to get good service. Update to my original review. The food had gone down in quality a bit. Still pretty good but no longer some of the best Mexican food so I had to take away a star.

I've been here 3-4 times. The food was Frickin' delicious, drinks were "Bomb!" Service was great! We had a blast! But one of the times we were turned away. It was still early.

It was packed when we arrived. However outside of it taking a while to order. Everything else was excellent. And the only pictures I took where of the menu.

So I ordered a wrap and loved it but my friend ordered a taco salad and it was not good. He was unable to finish it. The back side of the place is a pool hall so if you're looking for drinks and pool, this is the place.

Okay, so this place has some really good food for the Clearlake area, and they have a lot of options on their menu, but the service needs a lot of work. If you ask locals how they feel about the place, they say they would normally choose not to go back here because of the lower standard of customer service, but they continue to go back because they like the food. I don't necessarily recommend not going here, but you have to be willing to put up with being frustrated by things like never getting your refill or just being forgotten at your table for 20 minutes. Just be aware of that.

Ate here a few times and food was ok, but seemed to lack something. Not sure if it is the flavor profiles or what, just not as good at the other places in walking distance. This is pretty much a full restaurants though, not a taqueria so they do have a decent sized menu and all the extras. Deserts, drinks, meals were just alright. Feel bad with 3 stars, but not really worth 4 stars. Will go again some day I'm sure, but will depend on if the other restraints around are closed that I want the certain item to eat/drink

Good food. I would have liked bigger portions especially after I upgraded to a higher price meal. High 5 to the cook very tasty. Would have given 4 stars but waiting staff needs some work .

The service was great, the food just wasn't prepared right the cheese enchiladas, I had to use a knife the cheese with and tortilla was so hard, my boyfriend's meal he said was okay. It wasn't even an hour and a half after we got home we both were sick for 2 days with food poisoning. I don't ever leave bad reviews, but this was really bad he was worse than I was, he was in bed for 2 days. One day for me. Their prices were a little high and getting sick was just not worth it we will not be back!

Average food, a bit higher priced. Main reason for 2 stars is only the drinks wowed. The service was well 1.25 hours for lunch in a restaurant that had as many servers as tables seated. I would wait for high quality food at dinner without issue but, not more than 30min to get lunch that is average. Prior to my 3rd visit I would have given 4stars for the drinks and menu selection for families. So of you have a large portion of your day to devote to this place then take your family and enjoy margaritas while you wait. If you need food in a reasonable amount of time you will get faster service anywhere and everywhere else.

Service with an attitude.. The server made a mistake on an order that was talked about in great detail as we ordered it. We went over what we wanted multiple times. Rice makes my husband sic so asked to increase the other ingredients in the burrito to eliminate the rice we even agreed to pay more for more meat to fill the wrap. When we got our food it was wrong, nothing we asked had been done. It was a normal burrito packed with rice. When we asked for the order to be fixed how we had asked for it to be in the first place. She claimed that we did not ask for it to be different. The people next to us said !!!"Yes,they did! We all joked about it together with you standing here". She stated welllllll it wouldn't be fair for the cooks to have them remake it. We asked how fair it was for us to get something we didn't ask for! she never told them what we wanted!!! And she wanted us to pay for her mistake. And we did end up paying for something we didn't order or eat.

Chips were super stale, service was very slow and fairly unresponsive. The rice was bland, soft and flavorless. Really a bummer. Before they changed from Tequila’s, they were THE BEST IN TOWN!!

Food timing sucks even when the place is empty. My wife and I sat at the bar and watched a whole Rocky Balboa movie before our food came out. It was ice cold. The drinks saved this place from a one star. We have been there plenty of times and it always takes around 45 mins to get food. No wonder it's always empty.

Margs were fair, mostly tart mix. Food was also fair, could do a lot better at home.

Had the worst nachos of my life from this place. If you can even call these nachos.

Went to this Restaurant with my Family today, the food and the services were extremely awful. We just sat down and we waited for 25 minutes until, they bring us some chips and salsa for an appetizer and a Menu. We tried the salsa and the salsa has some ketchup in and it was horrible, we asked the lady that works there that can bring us a better Salsa and the salsa that the lady brings us. Absolutely looks like water and as I started eating the food, I started getting a little headache and all of the sudden. I started getting really sick off of the food, but I am glad that I am never eating there ever again.

First of all if you’re black I suggest you avoid this sorry excuse for an establishment entirely. My husband and I went to have dinner and waited over 40 minutes just to get chips and salsa and then another 15 just for waters. The place was basically empty when we showed up then it started to fill up and it seemed everyone but us was getting the help they needed while we were ignored entirely. The food the last time we went was absolutely unpalatable my dog probably wouldn’t have eaten it but I thought I’d give it another shot. To say the least after being so blatantly denied service due to what I can only assume was because of our skin color we left and went to TACO BELL INSTEAD.

Never the same preparation or quality twice. The closest it could be compared to is slop. The people don't want to work there and make it clear your patronage doesn't matter to them. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants to eat at where the food is excellent and your business is appreciated. Worst of the worst!

Lousy food all the way around. Refried beans in a toasted corn tortilla cup were straight up rancid, but a great idea if executed properly. I really like Mexican and am NOT picky. I find most Mexican to be good to excellent. This place though..... Oh no, never again. Avoid this place like the plague.

Most of the time the food is pretty decent, but tonight was definitely not a good experience. On top of the food being overpriced, the people who served my family and i were very rude. Took forever to even bring us salsa/chips, then took even longer to ask what we wanted to drink. Brought out one of my family's plates first, which was finished by the time we even got ours so the whole purpose of us going to dinner together was pointless. Even asked the waitress if there was an issue since they were being so rude, and she said "well you can write a review about the chef but idk what to tell you". Real professional.

Worst service ever. Poorly managed. Wait staff was just terrible. Not friendly. Had to practically go to the back and get them yourself just to get mediocre service. Horribly slow, both kitchen and wait staff. Spent 2+ hours for only decent food. Will not go back again. Wish I would've read the reviews instead of just looking at how many stars, it would have made me choose another restaurant. Oh and the bathrooms are disgusting. Door that doesn't look, no soap or paper towels, toilet so loose it wobbles, rocks and squirts water from places it shouldn't.

This was a great Mexican restaurant at one time. The rice was flavorless and smelt a bit old. The service was the worst we've seen. The young girls were more interested in their cell phones and giggling with each other than taking care of paying customers who pay their wages. We were there over and hour. I had to go get our silverware after we were served. The bill never came so, we went to the counter to pay. We paid cash but didn't get our change because they didn't have any coins. I guess that was her tip. I hope management reads these posts and make improvements.

The shrimp was still raw. Don't know what to say about that. I ain't trying to get sick or seafood poisoning.
