Opinions de Market Garden Brewery Cleveland
Atmosphere is great. Our server Gavin was fabulous and knowledgeable about the beers and drinks. We order a couple of Pizza’s (Vegan) and they were delicious. The Street Corn pizza was my favorite.
I'm sitting here right now and this place is great. The Ohio pepperoni pizza is fire. The beer is fantastic. The bloody Mary's are homemade from scratch by the chef and are so darn good. The West Side Market is 50' away and its magical. BUT..........the best part of this place are the wonderful staff members. Everyone is so kind and genuine. Hats off to them for making my family's Saturday perfection. Keke and Kat are out bartenders and they are fantastic 🫂
Espresso martinis were absolutely amazing, and the pizza was to die for! The vibe was great with awesome music playing throughout. My husband loved his beer, and we both agreed this place deserves 5 stars all day long.
Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Really good chocolate peanut butter stout and made a great special order Margarita. We had the Sausage pepper pepperoni pizza that was excellent. Staff was great, really attentive and very nice. Cali was our server and was amazing.
No food at this location. Beer and souvenirs only. Service was the best of any brewery we visited in Cleveland. The Prosperity Hefeweizen was good, not a German Hefeweizen but still good. The Citramax was way too Citra. The Ginger Wheat was GINGER! Wheat. The Buckeye Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout was too much Peanut Butter and Chocolate and not enough stout. Neither of these was bad, just over flavored. The Octoberfest was our favorite. We are beer snobs so come and enjoy.
Food way very good and the service was attentive as well. The chicken Caesar salad was big and quite filling, and my friend really enjoyed the pizza. Would recommend.
This is a really cool place to come get some really good beer and food. Our waitress was on top of it the whole time, the mimosas were really good and the food came out hot and ready to eat. I really like the fact that their dog friendly and parking is close no matter what side if the block you are on. You have to try the burger and their pizzas. That's what we had and it was really good. Definitely going back the next time we're in Cleveland!
We hosted a “sip and see” for my daughter in the back bar and room. It was perfect. We set up the back room as the kids area and had a face painter come. The food and drinks were great and Bryan and his team were very communicative and helpful. Perfect for a casual party, wedding reception, shower, etc.
First time getting food here in a long time. The pizza was very delicious. We went with the spicy pepperoni and it was a top tier pizza. The place was very busy but the service was still very speedy. The beer is always good. The other food item pictured is the antipasto sandwich. At least I believe so.
We come here every time I visit the family. I’ve spent years in Germany (off & on), and in my opinion this place has the best US-made Hefeweizen I’ve ever had. The beer garden is awesome as well! A major plus is that they’re dog friendly
It's a little expensive but we enjoyed all of our food and drinks. They had a large menu for food as well as drinks. It seemed to be a popular place, we got a seat instantly on a Friday night but there were a lot of other customers. We got the pepperoni pizza, stuffed banana peppers, and an order of garlic Parmesan wings. Everything came out very hot and tasted fresh. I also enjoyed my cocktail and my husband enjoyed his beer. Our server was very friendly and the atmosphere of the pub was trendy. We came on a rainy afternoon, they had their window patio style doors open so it was nice and cool inside and the sound of the rain was very relaxing. I also really appreciated the shelf of highchairs and booster seats - I look forward to having a second visit with my daughter.
Cool brewery/restaurant next to the West Side Market. Large space with 2 bars and 2 table areas, as well as a decent sized outdoor area with a fireplace. There is a good sized beer selection with new rotating ones all the time. Food that I tried was great...loved the Chipotle Maple Wings. Service was friendly and attentive and music/vibe was fun. Will definitely go back!
Market Garden has fantastic Shandys. Entrance (host stand) is on West 25th Street. Walked in around 2 pm and were seated quickly. The menu is mostly pizzas, but they have brunch and some sandwich options as well. Food was good. Shadys are great. Definitely check them out. A good parking option is behind the building in the West side market lot. Couple bucks. Use the QR codes in the lot to pay etc.
I hadn't been to Market Garden for a few years, and was happy to get the chance on a Sunday afternoon while on a mini vacation to the Cleveland area with my wife. The space inside is very pretty and well maintained, and the darker lighting and design make it feel cool and comfortable. The bartenders were all very nice and pleasantly talkative, so it's no surprise this brewery has plenty of regulars and a lot of good clout. We had recently eaten a late breakfast, so we just got one drink a piece and took a bit to sit and enjoy while cooling off from the near midday heat outside. I had the Grand Orbiter, a phased rye lager, which was very well crafted, richly flavored and enjoyable. My wife had the Lemon Sparkler, a non alcoholic sweet seltzer from Nano Brewing, and it was a perfect non alcoholic complement to the summer weather. Overall, especially factoring in the beautiful outdoor garden seating area we would have enjoyed if it were a bit cooler, this is a must stop if in the Cleveland area and looking for a good drink and some great aesthetics.
Good beer and a good atmosphere! Definitely more of a restaurant vibe than a casual brewery. Employees were all friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't try any food, but it looked good!
This was our first time visiting Market Garden and we will for sure be visiting again. The food was delicious, and they had a good selection of drinks as well. The atmosphere was calm and laid back and the service was efficient and friendly. Great location, being in the heart of Ohio City.
Came here for brunch and did it ever deliver. I decided not to get a flight this time instead opting for just the hoppy fruity aile (Cutie) and it was amazing, orange citrus with just the right amount of hoppiness, not a lot, just right. This was the first time I had tried a "Cleveland style pizza, felt like a Detroit style minus the thickness. Incredible pizza, the pretzel was decent just needed more cheese (maybe cuz the cheese was so good we ate too much of it). Overall I'd definitely go back. The biscuits and gravy lacked that southern thickness I was expecting and needed more gravy. Maybe one egg and add gravy?? Or maybe I shouldn't expect southern greasy goodness from Cleveland...
The food was absolutely delicious, we split the burger from the brunch menu and a spicy pepperoni pizza. The fries that came with the burger were these huge potato slices, they were so good. Pretzel was amazing and the cheese was green for St Patty's! Atmosphere was really nice as well, we will definitely be back!
We came on a Sunday evening before going to the zoo. Made a reservation with no issues. The staff was great, food came out soo quick and was delish! Soft pretzel, chipotle wings, chili dog and the white pizza. All of it was great. The wings were delish! We always love coming here. My husband also loves the selection of beers.
Beautiful venue, delicious brews, and easy parking. Comfortable ambiance. Will definitely come again💯❤️
Nice local craft brewery right next to the Westside Market. Good beer selection and nice atmosphere. They have a large private area in the basement that can be reserved for events. Menu is somewhat limited, but the pizza is delicious. The Spicy Pepperoni OMG is a winner if you like a bit of heat.
The weather was perfect for outdoor seating. The music was good. Vibes were good. Service was solid. She seemed kinda like she was over her shift before she even made it to us but oh well. She wasn't totally rude but just seemed "done" if that makes sense. Anyway, food was amazing. Absolutely no complaints. And they give you so much! We were all eating each other's food and was super stuffed!
First visit to the Market Garden Brewery and I am happy to report that it was great! We decided to try the Pretzel with cheese which paired well with our first beers. We followed that up with the Bruschetta (Awesome!!) and the Chipotle Maple Wings (Best thing we ordered!) The Philly Cheese steak (Cleveland style) Pizza nicely finished up the food portion of our visit, the crust perfectly cooked. A final MGB Lager and IPA were just what we wanted to finish the visit. Have to mention our Bartender Brian! Awesome service Five Stars!!
Loved the brisket hash from their brunch menu, as well as the “cidermosa” flight. There was a Guardians game in when we went there so the place was rather packed and very lively, but even then the service was quick. We were served our food and drinks in less than 10 minutes.
Great atmosphere and a great beer selection. We started off at the bar inside and ordered a Pilsner and an IPA, which were both really good. For our second round we ordered the same but enjoyed them outside on their insanely huge patio. It was a perfect day outside so it was packed with people which made for a really fun time.
Got a plain waffle ($7) and a flight of mimosas ($10). I felt it was a little pricey for the waffle, but it was probably the best waffle I've ever had, so I'm not mad. I went at about 2 pm on a Sunday and was able to sit outside during brunch. Really cute area with music playing from speakers, and heaters above the center tables.... which were welcome as it was about 50 degrees. Server was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Didn't interrupt me while I was eating, but was quick to notice when i was finished. I'm not needy, and this wad prefect for me. Overall, cute place for girls day drinking. Would come back.
Market Garden Brewpub & Pizza is a solid choice if you’re looking for a lively, reliable spot in Ohio City. We stopped in during peak hours and were impressed with how well everything was running. The space stayed clean and organized despite the crowd, and the service was prompt and genuinely helpful without feeling rushed. It’s clearly a well-managed operation. I ordered the vegan handheld, which is built around sweet potatoes as the base. It’s a simple concept, but it worked — flavorful, satisfying, and thoughtfully put together rather than feeling like an afterthought. If you’re plant-based, it’s a legit option. Others at our table ordered pizza, and everyone enjoyed theirs — good crust, well-balanced toppings, and exactly what you want from a brewpub pizza night. Big bonus points for being dog friendly (we brought our pup inside with no issues) and for being an accessible, welcoming space overall. If you want a dependable brewpub with solid food, good vibes, and options for different diets, Market Garden is an easy yes.
Every time I've been here the food & service has been great. Stopped for lunch after spending time at the West Side Market. Restaurant has a good vibe, dining both inside & outside - for any size party. Service was helpful & friendly. Everything we had was so good. I had the Korean Chicken Sando - such a tasty chicken sandwich. Opted for a Caesar salad over fries. No regrets. My wife had the Veggie Sandwich, also opted for the Caesar salad over fries. She said it was the best veggie sandwich she's ever had. Beer menu offered a lot of options (we didn't have any) - don't hesitate to stop in for some great food & drink.
I recently visited Market Garden Brewery in Cleveland and had a fantastic experience. The vibe was relaxed yet energetic, the service staff were warm and attentive, and everything felt well-done from start to finish. For food, I ordered the apple pizza — topped with blue cheese, parsley, and balsamic-glazed onions. The combination was surprisingly good: crisp apple notes balancing the sharp blue cheese, fresh parsley adding brightness, and sweet-tangy balsamic onions tying it all together. It was creative and memorable. On the drink side, I enjoyed the Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged “Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged Franklin Castle” (by Market Garden) — aged in bourbon barrels that previously held maple syrup. Very smooth and beautiful taste. A must try. Overall, I definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great time, interesting food and beer, and friendly service. If you’re in Cleveland and want a place with character, this is it.
What a gem of a find!! We originally were planning on doing Southern Tier for dinner, but the area was a mad house. We then found this place on Google! Love the feeling here. They play great music and it has an upscale feel. Also, the staff were amazing. Place runs like a well oiled machine. Beers were great. The chocolate peanut butter stout smelled like a peanut butter cup, and was probably one our favorite peanut butter beers we’ve ever had. Food was also amazing. The maple chipotle wings were insanely good. We live an hour East of Buffalo, and I’d put these wings at the top with wings from Buffalo to home. Also, the pizza was probably the best we’ve had at a brewery. My only complaint is the house made blue cheese. Have to pay $1 extra for it, and it had no blue cheese crumbles in it and was way too thin. I couldn’t get any of it on my wings. This is a big sin cause I’m a blue cheese freak, but honestly the wings were perfect without it. That’s a first for me!
Great time, great food, great staff. Reserved tables for our post-wedding brunch to cap off the weekend. The communication throughout the process was great. They even let us preorder food/drinks to have ready when we sat down (great for the morning after a night of open bar celebrating the night before lol). They even called 30 minutes before the reservation for any last minute needs. Everybody loved the food, and fortunately the weather was nice and we got to sit outside and enjoy the back patio.
Wow! Thank you Market Garden! This was such a clutch venue to host our pre-wedding festivities with our wedding party. Staff was friendly and receptive of our guests needs without being over bearing. Food was excellent and met all guests allergy restrictions. I highly recommend renting out the back room as you most likely will spend the minimum and can put down multiple cards. We had a group of fifteen and just th whole vibe was very Cleveland with a chic, rustic feel. Loved every minute of it. Thank you and look forward to hosting another event there!
Market Garden brewpub is the place to be. Amazing atmosphere. EXCELLENT food. And even better service. Ask for Neisha (sp) you will not be disappointed. Whoever said it was salty, your taste buds most have been off. Delicious...
Outstanding! The food is excellent; they have the most delicious Greek Salad with grilled chicken—healthy and nutritious. And how I enjoyed their basic cheese pizza. And the staff—all of them—make the entire experience on top of the wonderful food. They are helpful, friendly and professional and it’s my privilege to support them as a customer. I don’t even drink and I am most often alone eating at the bar and they make me feel welcome every single time. Highly, highly recommended!
Our 3rd time enjoying food and drinks here! Love the sausage, pepperoni pizza! This last trip it wasn’t as chunky meat but more crumbly. Moscow mule was delicious! Vibe was inviting and nice selection of music. Very friendly and helpful waitress. However the Host at front desk seemed a bit unfriendly and annoyed or unhappy. Recommend the place to all my friends.
Went for Valentine’s Day last minute and sat at the bar. Everyone behind the bar was super friendly and helped with beer selections. Food was excellent. Great experience.
Busy late summer night and they got our party of 6 a great table outside. First time here, we only had appetizers. The atmosphere was great. Can't wait to go back.
We hosted our holiday party at Market Garden Brewery, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was excellent, and they went above and beyond to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs—including gluten-free and vegan options. They even had gluten-free/vegan cupcakes, which were a huge hit! Special thanks to Cooper, the event manager, and Heather, our bartender. They were on top of everything and handled every situation with grace—from quickly refreshing appetizers to managing unexpected party crashers professionally. The entire experience was seamless, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. Highly recommend Market Garden Brewery for any event!
We stopped for the beer and stayed for the delicious pizza because our server Keke was just the best! Her bubbly attitude made the experience totally enjoyable.
Good atmosphere, food, and, drink. Really liked the stout with tequila. Our party tried pig ears. They were very different. No one particularly liked them but I'm glad we gave them a go. They seemed prepared skillfully but they are very crunchy. We really liked the chicken wings; they only come with one sauce and it's sweet, tastes like french toast!
Very tasty food, pizzas hot and crisp with interesting toppings, wings well-cooked and sauced (rubbed, I guess!). Excellent salads, fresh and well-executed. Beers were mostly very good, the Christmas Ale didn't do it for me but the Christmas wheat was excellent. Service was a bit spotty but it is kind of a bar. They did kindly call me when someone in our party left a scarf. Just make sure you know whether you are going to the brewery across the parking lot!
Overall the dining experience here was pretty good. The atmosphere is good, and the service is quick, but the food was just okay. The chicken sandwich was good, the kimchi pizza could have been a little better, and the pretzel was just average. But the drinks were quite good and it was really nice to be able to make a reservation so easily through Open Table
You know what, this place is cool; I enjoyed the experience of dining here. The scenery is dope; the music is right, it’s not too loud or raunchy or slow or fast. They play a good mix of music. The service was impressive too. I ordered the steak and frites and while the fries were soggy, my served calmly and pleasantly dropped another set of fries for the inconvenience. The beer and drinks were also good. However, the food was not impressive or appealing. And that’s okay if you’re not looking to eat here. The experience will be a memorable one. Do I recommend this place for one or a group yes, I do… not for the eating experience, for the vibe. The vibe is right and it’s not too loud, the staff aren’t trying to upscale you. They have great genuine customer service and I would recommend this place for THAT experience. If you want to come for the food, you may want to try another place.
We came to brunch on sunday at noon and had no problem getting a table, with no wait. We ordered the mimosa flight, it was tasted great and at a great price. We had both kinds of wings Chipotle Maple Chicken Wings and Buffalo Ranch Wings(no blue cheese). Chipotle maple was a sweet sticky sauce with a kick. Buffalo was buffalo. Both were good. Season fries with cheese and bacon, good. DO NOT BUY THIS CINNAMON ROLL! It was dry and taste worst then the kind from a vending machine. Service was good except a female server we had when we arrived but was switch out by God's graces! We then had an awesome server named Chewy. He had a great presence. The hostess was also great!
Market Garden in Ohio City offered a solid experience overall, with a lovely patio that made for a relaxed atmosphere and a great music selection that added to the vibe. The service was pretty average, but the food came out quickly, which was a plus. The smash burger was the clear standout, perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and elevated by a delicious special sauce. Paired with hot, crispy fries, it was easily the highlight of the meal. The salad with salmon was just okay, not particularly memorable, and the rib sandwich unfortunately lacked seasoning and depth. Despite a few misses, it was an enjoyable visit, and I’d definitely return, especially for that smash burger.
Great beer and place to hang. Within the last year though, the pizza quality has gone extremely downhill. It used to be so much better. Now, it barely fills the tray and the dough is different and not cooked enough.
I love this place and the pizza and beer are my favorite in Cleveland, but a mandatory 15% take-out gratuity plus a separate take-out service charge is silly.
The restaurant is inviting and spacious. They have a great variety of beers. The menu promised great food, but we were disappointed as everything we ordered was way to salty.
The atmosphere is beautiful. I love the patio and the lights. June 3rd, 2022 Although I enjoyed the vibe, I must admit the food was disgusting. $17 for a 6 slice pizza that didn’t taste like anything. They only had one burger on the menu that cost $14. I’m okay with any price as long as it’s good. This burger was small and nasty. It was the size of a McDouble at McDonald’s. Overly spice because they are in Ohio City. I’ll never go to this place again. Highly turned off. Please see pictures of my food. Not worth a $50 dollar bill at all.
I used to be a fan. However, the owner is trying to kill an important public transportation project that would alleviate traffic on W 25th so that he can save a few parking spaces in front of his business. Would recommend spending your money elsewhere if you care about expanding public transportation
