Yummy cocktails and a nice bar area. Haven't sat down to eat here but the ambiance of the bar is great and a rare find for Clifton Park.

We came for happy hour and had really fast service in the bar area. Great happy hour specials and menu! We also got the burrata appetizer which was delicious! My bf doesn’t like fresh tomatoes and this dish doesn’t have them so that was an added bonus!

Went here for a birthday dinner the other night for the first time. Atmosphere was wonderful. I felt I was walking into tuscan italy. Our server was friendly. The eggplant appetizer was phenomenal. I got the pollo pane as my main course. It was huge and delicious. The chicken was breaded fresh and the arugula and tomatoes were flavorful. The potatoes were a bit dry but it did not ruin the rating of the overall meal. I will be back.

Excellent experience, food & service. We had the cocktails, wine, pasta and dessert and everyone was so impressed. The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. We were visiting Saratoga and searching for a restaurant without a wait during the races. The atmosphere was great- we ate inside but the outdoor setting was beautiful as well. This place is a hidden gem! Thanks for a great night out, 10/10 will be back!

Enjoyed a great dinner here with exceptional service from Danielle. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and was well made. Drinks were on point too. I would highly recommend.

Rombauer wine dinner. THIS is a fun night. Just the right balance of information, blended with a lot of humor. Steady pace. Wasn’t drawn out, but I also didn’t feel like it was rushed. Oh, the tastings were spot on, too. :)

We live 3 min away from this restaurant for last 5 years but for some reason never got a chance to go here. Finally we made it on a weekend night, completely under dressed (yes this place is rustic fancy from inside). Starting with the free freshly baked unlimited chia Bata bread for the table to ending with a fresh in house made tiramisu (softest texture and quite authentic). The vegetarian Entree of Pomodoro pasta was amazing. We haven't tried the wines or anything else in this first visit. Will update the review with our 2nd visit. The staff and service is excellent. And the best part - it is family owned. Must recommend.

What a wonderful experience! From the food to the service it was a wonderful experience. It looks like they have daily specials too. My husband had the pasta special which was beef tips with pasta ina parm cream sauce. I had the porl chop with the bacon tomato jam and black garlic yogurt. We also had the soup on special which was delicious. You could tell that everything was authetic and high quality. The portions were quite generous as we had food to take home. They also have italian after dinner liqours. The service was wonderful. I always like when they take my left overs and box them up for me. They also have gluten free and vegan options and they can make some gluten free accommondations. This is how I was able to try their soup on special. The only thing they can do better is to have a smoothier transition between their online reservations and when you arrive and then seated. On the online page it asked for your allergies and dietary preferences. When I checked in the hostess didn't mention the notes I had made nor the waitness. It wasn't a big deal to explain everything, but I wish they would of passed along the information. Overall a wonderful experience. When we visit again we will be back.

One of my wife and my favorites. Staff is always friendly and check in often; regardless how busy it is. We got 2 pizzas and the calamaretti. The calamaretti had a nice flaky breading, tender and came out hot, 10/10. The pizza also came out hot and was very good, the only complaint was the middle was a bit floppy and could've used more time in the oven, but not bad 7.5/10.

Never have had a bad experience here. The drinks they offer are fresh and fun. The Vodka pasta is AMAZING and they let you substitute the prosciutto for a vegetarian-friendly option. The staff is attentive and every server we've had has had a fun personality. Highly recommend.

My first time there, I liked it a lot. Loved the option for a half order of the main courses. Seating was a little close, but it worked. The food was very good, the staff was friendly and attentive. I'll be there again for dinner soon.

I placed an online order here last night, the arancini and what I thought was capellini pomodoro, both amazing! When I picked up my order at 8:50, I realized the pomodoro was actually vodka sauce. I called the restaurant back and soon realized it was my error. It was 9:00 and they were closing in a half hour. The staff offered to make my pomodoro as a rush order. I came in to pay, the staff was so polite and helpful, and the chef was extremely quick. I was beyond appreciative and grateful and wanted to shout out the amazing staff and food here! Thank you so much!

This was our first time here and we were very pleasantly surprised! We ordered delicious, interesting drinks to start. The arancini rice balls and meatball appetizers were amazing. Each of the four of us ordered a different item from the dinner menu and we were all amazed with the flavor. I really wanted a chicken parm and although that itself is not on the menu, the waitress let me know that I was able to get it as a side. It was probably the best I've had. The pasta tasted fresh and the sauce was rich and flavorful. We ordered the Italian sugar donuts and some coffee drinks to top it off. We were highly satisfied and we will be back. Also, I want to shout out how professional and helpful our waitress was. She was knowledgeable and very gracious.

My husband and I stopped here a few weeks ago after the Saratoga Victoria Stroll. Could not get in any restaurants in Saratoga. Well, lucky us. Sat at the lively bar for a drink waiting a reasonable amount of time for busy night with no reservation. My husband mentioned linguine with clams to the waitress, which wasn't on the menu. She returned saying the chef would make it! , and my finicky husband loved it. My entree was also a 10, as was service and atmosphere. Actually returning tonight with our son.

Such a good italian place! My family is always here and everytime I'm in town I always come atleast twice! The atmosphere is rustic, and the way they decorated is gorgeous . Usually theres not a wait or the wait is a short period of time. I do recommend making a reservation if you have a large group. The outside seating is so nice, and all of the waiters are so kind. The manager (Nick) is so kind and you can tell the employees like him too! The host is so sweet and enthusiastic. The food is absolutely delicious, I recommend the norma pasta, casa salad - it has an amazing vinaigrette, rice balls, and their pizzas are great. All of the food is great quality and I nor have any of the people I've went with, had a complaint or had to send anything back. The food is well priced, definitely not overpriced and parking is always available. 10/10 will definitely recommend

First time here in years with Shen Rotary. What a great time! After members left, I ordered Pomodoro. It was SO delicious! Struck up a conversation with another single gal sitting near me. Come to find out, we knew many of the same people! She ordered a gorgeous tossed salad and side of meatballs and said her food was also excellent. I'll go again but will have to save up (fixed income).

The Ruffino wine dinner on August 9 was wonderful in every way. The 5-course pairings were well thought out, creative, and perfect. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Several of us commented that it was rare to eat all of the courses in an extended pairing dinner, but all of these were so good that we did. The wines were exceptional. The service was great. I'd never been to Pasta Pane before, and I was very impressed. Thank you, Ruffino, and thank you, Pasta Pane.

Just had a 50th birthday party for my husband here. The event coordinator was amazing, the waitstaff were super attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious! First timers to the restaurant told me they would definitely come back in the future. Prices were very reasonable also. Great job Pasta Pane!

Stopped in after shopping & was able to get a table for 2 for dinner. Wife ordered the Pasta Pomodoro & I had the Rigatoni Bolognese. Both were delicious! The service was excellent & as a bonus, the restaurant offers 1/2 portions on most dinners. The cost for 2 Dinners; 2 Glasses of Wine each; and 2 Breads as very reasonable. A great value for the price. Will Definitely be back ! Dick & Gerry Tripp

I live in Clifton Park but had never visited Pasta Pane until my beautiful friend Bronte invited me for a drink. So we went there. I was astonished from the moment we walked in. It's a beautiful gem hiding behind those brown walls. I wasn't expecting such a beautiful decor. The place looks amazing. No only did we end up having drinks , but couldn't resist to leave without trying the food. Calamari, parpadele special were incredibly delicious. Our server Maritza was amazing. She was on top of everything, sweet, professional and very caring. The whole staff works as a team. Well trained and always supporting each other. Thank you, Bronte and thank you Pasta Pane for such a wonderful evening.

We had been in Clifton Park for a while and hadn't been to Pasta Pane. It always had a full parking lot, which suggested plenty of satisfied return customers. We went early on a Saturday and we enjoyed our dinner very much. The service was fast and attentive. The food was superb. The atmosphere was quite pleasant. Easy to find from 146. Near 9 and 87. Abundant parking. We will be returning worth the trip!

Steady and consistent Italian. Had dined here many times . Tonight was one of my favorites . So impressed with the quality of service , with waitress , bartender , and kitchen staff . My salad was fresh and good size. Had the Romaine hearts, with Incredible dressing. My pasta was perfectly prepared, with a fresh marinara exquisitely seasoned. It can be busy, but that is typical when a restaurant provides good service and excellent food. highly recommend it

We celebrated my husband’s 70th birthday there. Since making contact with the sales person, Val, mid October, my event was facilitated and easily organized. Val kept in touch with me after creating a custom meal plan to my liking. She took care of the most minimal details checking frequently with me, to make sure, nothing was overlooked. The night off, couldn’t have been more perfect. Our waitress, whom we have seen frequently in the restaurant but unfortunately I didn’t get his name, was amazing. He smoothly took care of more than 30 people and checked with me to update me about the details of the night. The food is always delicious. I am a Pasta Pane lover, but this is my first event with them. It won’t be my last. I fully recommend this place without hesitation. Pasta pane is a gem in Clifton Park. It’s personalized service, separates it from all the chain restaurants around. Congratulations to the owner for running a well oiled business. Thank Pasta Pane.

FYI, it’s not “Pasta PAIN”! It’s pronounced “Pasta Pah-nay (or pah-neh). Like Italian bread. Not like a window pane. Now that that’s out of the way—OH MY GOODNESS is this place quite nice. Been hiding here all these years and I had no idea. Nicest restaurant of this size and style I’ve been to in the area! Top notch atmosphere, and the food was pretty good too! Not quite cure-cancer good, but I’ll certainly be sampling more off the menu! Excellent presentation!

Went during Saratoga County Restaurant Week. The food was excellent. Arincini, tuna and pork entrees and desserts were worth the trip on a snowy evening. The argula salad had too much of a dried spice on it and was heavy in spots. Overall, an excellent experience.

Marissa was my waitress, helped me throughout my dining experience, helping me make decisions, last but not least, how to do certain things. I can honestly say in all my years, have never had the pleasure of someone so perfect in every way, in her position. The food was wonderful and now is my favorite Italian restaurant. I live in Kansas but anytime I'm in this area, will definitely be stopping by this place. Thank you Marissa, for making my dining experience there the best I've ever had.

Longtime resident, however, somehow this was our first time visit…. No reservations, only about a 10 minute wait for a table. Enjoyed drinks at the bar before being seated. Bartender was exceptionally attentive (and skilled), she set the stage for an excellent dining experience. We had the soup of the day and a pepperoni & hot honey pizza — both were very good— along with their delicious fresh bread for appetizers. All pasta dinners had an option for full or half portions. We ordered the VODKA, BOLOGNESE, and POMODORO — a little less than impressed with the flavor of the VODKA sauce, however everything else was amazing. We skipped dessert, so we are looking forward to trying something off the desert menu for our next visit…. and there will be a next visit! Will be recommending Pasta Pane to friends and family.

I came here because it was across the street from the hotel that I am staying in. The service was fantastic. I did not get a chance to try the pasta but I ordered this pizza to go. From a artisan pie is fantastic. If you are in this area you need to stop by.

This is the place we tell everybody about. Love the vodka pasta so much especially we never get to try any others🤣. Always a good time & consistent. We mostly dine in on sundays for happy hour as that portion is always plenty! The days we go for full bowls we take boxes home (very ecstatic to have leftovers). Recently have been getting into the take out pasta mondays to try other ones as well & let me tell you… so worth it, we take it to my grandmas & have a larger meal with more of the family. Customer for life.

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here this past August. We had about 25 people and chose the private dining room and did buffet style for the food. It was absolutely perfect, exactly what we were looking for! Not too fancy, but also not too casual, just a really good vibe. The food was incredible, our guests could not stop talking about it. We also had two gluten free individuals and they were very accommodating and made two separate meals for them. And the servers were very attentive and made sure everyone had drinks and that the food was being replenished when needed. It was also great working with Julie, she was so nice and would answer my emails so quickly which was super appreciative. The communication was top notch and she made sure our event went smoothly as possible and it definitely did. Highly recommend Pasta Pane for a private event, rehearsal dinner, shower, or even just for dinner, we love going to the bar.

Birthday Dinner. Coming off of two flights back to Albany, I wanted to finish my Birthday on a restaurant I've not yet visited but really wanted to try. Que Pasta Pane, which opens too late for me to add it to my regular Friday dinner lineup. Too a little bit for a table to be cleared, around 7-10 minutes, but afterwards we got inside and seated. Placing our orders quickly after, we nibbled on the complimentary bread and sipped out tap water while we waited. Noticed the glasses for the water both had scuff marks inside from a dishwasher, and they had a wet dog smell to them which comes from a dishwasher that needs to be run with cleaner. So I'd reccomend they do that, because it was pretty stinky. Not too quickly but not too slowly our orders were brought out. I went with the Mezzanine Otero, my father's GF ordered the salmon, and my father a caprese salad. Since it was my birthday my father took the bill before I could get a look at it, but the menu showed that prices weren't all that outrageous for the dish sizes. Think I could have gone with the half portion of the Mezzanine Otero, as it was quite a lot for one guy suffering from jet lag, but man was it good. Creamy, a rich tomato flavor, bursts of tangy sundried tomato bits, and the super savory chicken. My father and his GF both really enjoyed their dishes too, with all of us agreeing that these were some of the best meals we've had in a while. Also got to check out the bathrooms while we were there, and wow, walking inside it was like I walked into someone's personal cabin. There was mood lighting, scented candles, soft music, rustic decorations, it was a lot but it did the job. Overall, great food, acceptable prices, stinky water glasses, stupefying bathrooms.

Great atmosphere, fancy but casual. Meaning you can get dressed up and not feel weird, but you can also dress casual and not feel weird. They start you off with bread, but no butter. There is oil on the table (and vinegar) so we just used that and poured a little in our bread/appetizer plates with some of the pepper on the table. The oil had a great flavor. Food was great, but calamari was a tad salty as well as the penne vodka and prosciutto (pretty sure it was because of the prosciutto). The sauce with the calamari was spicy so it was a great balance. Unique and fun drink options. I got the Margarita that was carrot juice and ginger. I ended up not being the biggest fan of it but loved the creativity. My husband got one of the Moscow Mules (3 choices) with peach. It was pretty good. We shared the gelato (vanilla bean, pistachio, & a chocolate), it was all definitely handmade and all 3 flavors were amazing. Will be returning.

We had dinner here for the first time and we loved it! The food was delicious and our server was very friendly and attentive. We didn't make a reservation thinking Thursday evening shouldn't be busy but it was busy, however we didn't have to wait(only for 2 people). We ordered the Burrata e Speck for appetizer, Frutti Di Mare and Penne Vodka for dinner. For dessert we ordered tiramisu and creme brulee. It was a fantastic dinner! We'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu!

We ate here with friends on a Sunday night and it was phenomenal. The drink menu - craft beers, cocktails, spirits and wines - was creative and vast, with a lot of great options. The calamari, roasted olives, and warm bread to start were all delicious. My pear martini actually tasted like pear, which is such a rare find. My entree of the vodka penne pasta was so flavorful and creamy, somehow without being too heavy. It might be the first vodka sauce I have ever had at a restaurant that didn't sit uncomfortably like a rock in my stomach afterwards. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience and I look forward to returning some day!

This is the second time I've had dinner at Pasta Pane in the past year. Both times the meal has been of high quality and well-prepared. The portions are substantial so expect to leave with a full belly. The service is casual and friendly. Pictured here is the Pollo Marsala I had on my latest visit. The chicken was tender and there were lots of delicious mushrooms on top with a flavorful sauce all around. My only complaint is I wish it had come with a green vegetable instead of spaghetti squash. The squash was good, but it felt like a second starch since the meal also came with roasted potatoes.

Went for Vday, first time at an Italian restaurant. It was packed but friendly and timely service. Wish they had more vegan substitutes but other than that, the mango Salmon with lentils, and spinach was great and their pasta is right on point: aldente. The Godmother drink was a hit for me and would most definitely stop again when in town.

H
Han Dogan

Outstanding food in an amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend for both dinner or drinks at the bar. It should be noted that we did have to wait just over 25 minutes for a server to introduce herself and take a drink order and that was only because we asked another server to get our waitress.

J
Jana Hanagan

Great happy hour spot. Don't arrive during happy hour for a dinner table without a reservation on a weekend night. High tops are seated for dinner guests only when guests finally are done with the long happy hour. Drink specials at happy hour are worth the trip but someone has to wait in line at the door at 4:30 for high top seating. Meeting people at happy hour is easy because seating is close and you can hear everyone's chatter. Well staffed. Good service. Catering takeout is easy and consistent.

Food was okay but reminded me of a fancy chain restaurant. They did a great job with the tomato cream sauce, but the chicken was extremely tough and reminded me of frozen cutlets. Service was good. For the price of everything (1 app, 2 full sized meals, and one glass of wine for over $100.00), I expect the food to be fabulous and the menu to have more options.

We have been going to Pasta Pane since it opened in 2010, so about 25 years of patronage. When DZ sold in 2015 to the executive chef we were pleased as we always enjoyed the food, ambiance and personable service at the bar where we generally seat ourselves. On our recent visit a waiter "Jesse" happened to hear me say at the reception table that I was waiting for an opening at the bar for myself and my wife. He circled the bar, came back and suggested that the two seats at the end would soon be available. This is extraordinary service as he wouldn't even be our server and was busy with his tables - that is what sets restaurants apart - top employee talent and great food. I might add, he stepped behind the bar and cleaned our area with a wet cloth, this is typically done by the bartender when or before they provide the menu. The pappardelle bolognese is the best I've had anywhere in the country, that good. The bartender serving us was busy, they always are, however never provided bread with the meal and could not find our member status from our phone number yet I can see it online. This disappointment is hopefully a one off as we typically have had pleasant competent bartenders over the many years. So I guess no "credit" for membership points this time. Other than that, this is a stand out privately owned restaurant in Clifton Park.

Let’s start with the star of the show, the food. Starter: Caprese salad (mozzarella, tomato, pesto, fist of greens, olive oil and unpitted green olives) not your typical caprese but it worked. I personally would ask if customer like green olives to avoid waste because so many don’t partake in the green olive shenanigans, but pesto was delicious, definitely needed some salt. Baked bread was brought, olive oil on the tank and it was simple but delicious. For the pasta we ordered the vodka penne and mannnnnnn the sauce was creamy, not high acidity and the meat balls while not ginormous still very dense & flavorful. We had the sweetest wine they had which was perfect and the candle lite atmosphere brought a romantic feel… minus the football game happening at the bar that’s in the center of the place. Service was great all were attentive & kept us happy! Great food, nice atmosphere ( I would rather hear some nice music than the football game)and the service was impeccable. Thanks NY- love Texas!! P.s- the 3rd pic is from a previous visit 2 days prior! Braised pork, polenta was SCRUMPTIOUS! That is all!

Traveling through Clifton Park on the way north. Always stop at this plaza for wine, groceries, Starbucks and leisure (bathroom) break. First chance to catch this restaurant open. It did not disappoint. Although the food was pretty average (we come from a very authentic Italian area), it was tasty and satisfying. The service from everyone was excellent but especially from our waiter Brian. The atmosphere was comfortably busy but not too noisy. We would recommend this spot for anyone in the area or passing through and hope to return sometime. Returned to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Sat at the bar as a solo diner. Still excellent service and a delicious dinner... Scallops with a Mushroom cream sauce. Another visit... again on a drive through the area. Sat at the bar with a friend. Great service. Happy hour deals were terrific. Calamari crispy and not greasy. Switched sauce for marinara. Yum. Eggplant Rotini came with delicious oven crispy potatoes and veg medley. Will return 😋

A little pricey for franchise Italian food. My wife returned her gnocchi because it was mushy. I had the chicken marsala, which was ok, not great. Nice decor, but we won't be back

Normally we are quite satisfied with dinner at Pasta Pane. Tonight the foo seed was delicious but service definitely needed to be improved. Once ordering we waited more than an hour to receive our entrees. An otherwise fine local restaurant needs to find more staff! (I know, easier said than done.)

The food was OK for the price . The service was slow. We made a reservation. The digital reservation online, errored out. I had to call to make one. They had some great sounding dishes, but the execution was par, not great! Stay away from the pizza. They have a wood burning pizza oven, but the crust never rose. It was like it was previously frozen dough. Water glasses were always empty. We always had to trace down the person responsible for filling the glasses. The appetizer was good. Then there was an excessively long gap between the appetizer and the main course. Again, the main courses were just ok. We asked for the check and they brought it in a decent amount of time. When they took our CC to run it, the waitress was gone for over 15 mins. We wanted to try this place, but will not be returning. It worth driving further for better food.

Very mediocre food. They have one steak on the menu. We got that tonight. It was a $42 overcooked chunk of meat. Not aged, not seared/charred, not prime, not marbled; just hard to cut, hard to chew. I'd rather pay more for something good. We also got their shrimp ravioli special. Once again, very average. I've been here twice. I have no reason to go back.

Food was okay. I guess I do not get the hype of this place like everywhere else. The service was excellent. Overall not sure if I will eat here again.

The atmosphere in the inside is very nice, the aesthetics in person is beautiful, although it didn’t carry the same energy when you go outside. We had dinner outside and it was was much more quieter but really a completely different vibe from the interior. The service is nice, a bit better than average but nothing particularly outstanding. The food was nice! The seafood was a bit of a let down on the taste becuase the presentation was beautiful and price for it was high, but everything else was good.

The food was excellent. Had a large party of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meals. Pasta and salads were fresh. Flavor was excellent in everything. I was impressed despite some recent reviews. A half order of pasta is enough if you're not looking for left overs. Unfortunately I hesitate to return due to the service. Our waitress was very inattentive. Everytime we requested something it was difficult and seemed to be inconvenient. Same goes for the table service bringing bread and water. We were understanding being very busy on a Tuesday at 6, but service was still slow and lacking. If you have a large party, even mid-week definitely make a reservation. If I were to return maybe I'd just sit at the bar instead Bread is free.

The place looks nice, but all the food is just... Off. First off, the food took much longer than expected, as the table I was with ordered 3 pasta dishes, and 2 pizzas. I had a pepe e uovo, but with red sauce (marinara presumably) instead of white. After around 30 - 40 minutes, the pizza had arrived, and that's where the problems started. For $19, I got what looked like a 12" pizza. The dough seemed frozen at one point, as it didn't puff up that much. Also, the pizza was said to be "wood fired", but it wasn't. I could see the ovens, and no one was tending the fire, and the crust didn't have the signature char that a wood fired pizza would have. This leads me to believe that it was gas fired, despite what the menu said. All and all, the bread tasted like grissini. Other than the enigma that was the dough, the pizza was average, just kinda "meh" definitely not worth $19. According to another member of the table, who had bolognese, he said that it was creamy, which it shouldn't be. TLDR: overpriced, slow service, and middling food.

I like to gauge an Italian restaurant by the meatballs. Unfortunately these meatballs and especially the sauce was way under par compared to very close Italian restaurants. I love the inside and out. It looks amazing. I tried the filet minion and had gamberi. I just didn’t get the flavors.

I ordered the salmon dinner and asked the waitress if I could have the skin of the salmon cut off. I was told no, the chef didn’t have a fillet knife or the time to do this for me. I can make salmon at home and do this myself. Terrible at 33.00 dollars for a salmon dinner. Most restaurants had done this for me.

I really wanted to like this place especially since it's family-owned but the food is not prepared in a traditional manner and is just not particularly tasty from the appetizer to the meal to the dessert all three were rather poor and there are much better choices in town such as Delmonico a chain and Venezia locally owned. I will say the service was outstanding and the place is very cute but I've had better meals and it pains me to say this...at Olive Garden.

We went to dinner last night, the place is pretty and the atmosphere was nice. When it came time to order, we were asking about a dish on their menu and had inquired if it was “like chicken parm,” the waiter said “oh I can absolutely make it like a chicken parm.” We didn’t think anything of it, two of us ordered our dinner assuming it would be something similar to a chicken parm, but come to find out they will sell you chicken parm at $30 a plate, without telling you they’re giving you something separate and extra charge. Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious, but I don’t think I would ever pay $30 for chicken parm x2… I would have rather just gotten one of their pizzas. Overall the food is good, but the lack of information regarding pricing could certainly improve.

I would have given more stars, but our waitress looked at my empty glass 3 times and didn't comeback with a refill, didn't even offer or ask me for a refill. The other person clearing tables was on point with the water refills. The food was great. Maybe next time.

Below average Italian food but that isn’t the issue. I never leave reviews but the service was just very disappointing. Came with my wife and the meal took over 2 hours. My wife is pregnant so obviously she got pretty upset. The waiter was so inattentive. My wife sat with an empty drink for at least a half hour. If she doesn’t get her martinis she gets upset. She went out to smoke a cigarette and that must have woken them up because they finally came over. The waiter never asked how the food was or anything. The guys attitude was like we were a bother for being there. Idk what was up with him. Then to get the check and finally get out of there took forever too. I won’t be back that’s for sure. It’s too bad because Clifton park doesn’t have many non chain restaurants. Go to delmonicos instead.

Not impressed. This place is extremely loud inside so we opted to eat outside, unfortunately fighting off the ants on the table was keeping us busy. Ordered calamari, not well seasoned and very chewy. Moved onto the bolognese, came out warm and not very meaty for a Bolognese dish. Overall not sure if I would give another chance, doesn’t seem worth it to me.

This was our first time dining here, and we left with mixed feelings. The arancini appetizer special was tasty, but the portion size felt underwhelming for the price. Our entrées took a bit to arrive, which we understood given it was a busy Saturday night, but a few details were off—my boyfriend didn’t receive the side vegetables that were supposed to come with his chicken parm, nor was he given a proper knife. I also would have appreciated having crushed red pepper available for my vodka sauce pasta. The side of Tuscan beans and kale sounded much more appealing on the menu than what was actually served. We would have expected our server to check in after our meals were delivered, but unfortunately that didn’t happen which made it awkward trying to get our servers attention as he sped by tending to others. At the start, we really appreciated that our server helped us take advantage of the happy hour drink deal before it ended, but for the rest of the meal we felt overlooked. We sat with our finished plates for about 20 minutes waiting for a box and check, while the tables on either side of us were promptly attended to—though we overheard them leaving unhappy as well. Overall, the food was hit or miss, and the service, which started off promising, declined as the night went on. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it’s nice to have a casual Italian option in CP, but the experience fell short of expectations.

Very disappointing. We have been going there for many years and though it’s expensive, it has been worth it. Not this time. My friend and I ordered the pasta with shrimp and lobster for $39. Though the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent, it had only 3 small over cooked shrimp and a few tiny minced pieces of lobster. My friend called it lobster flake pasta. For $39 there should have been real chunks of lobster, not minced bits. We feel ripped off and taken advantage of. The description of this meal was not accurate.

I was not happy with the quality of the chicken it was hard and distasteful in my mouth. It resembles the chicken you get for salads at the supermarket. Should have been real chicken for the price I paid.

Very disappointed with the food I picked up from here. The Margarita pizza was really sad look and tasted too salty and greasy. How can you get a simple Margarita pizza wrong. The cauliflower tempura I ordered as an appetizer was really small with maybe 10 florets in it. Overall I was not impressed with their food at all.

How do I begin to describe the disappointment and sub par “rustic Italian” experience that was had? I mean, anyone who can read between lines can get a sense of the disdain I feel towards this establishment. Now, I’m not the one who chose this eatery, as a friend chose it to celebrate an occasion. The menu seemed promising, with meal descriptions that makes you realize you’re salivating and craving some good Italian-esque food. Our Olsen sister look a like waitress spoke low in volume despite the the loud surroundings. It was difficult for the entire table (a small party of six) to even hear the words coming out of her mouth. It was a Friday night, and it was packed. You should know that this was not a quiet evening. The service in general did not feel like it warranted anything beyond a basic 15% tip/gratuity, let alone a 10% one. Especially when more than half the party felt like it was undeserved. The wait staff seemed pretentious as they stated “oh yeah, they don’t understand the names of the dishes.” Barely checking in on how things are going with the table when the station to enter orders is literally in the other side of the railing? That’s sad. The food. Where do I even begin on the disappointment and sadness? The only good, which I did not even try, was apparently the calamari. The meatballs for an appetizer seemed over seasoned with salt. Not sure if that was from the sauce or the cheese. But it was possibly there to mask the underwhelming, Luke warm balls of protein underneath. Then between appetizers and the main meals, the wait was most definitely NOT worth it. When ordering a full sized salad, you do not expect the half size order to be about the same size. That’s one overcharged meal right there. Then I had ordered sausage crumbles to be added to my meal. One would assume (that’s my fault) that the sausage would be one, some kind of Italian sausage, and it would actually be crumbles. What came out was nothing of the sort. It was sliced, sad, cold, a mushy, unappetizing side of possibly fake sausage. The skin/casing of the sausage didn’t have that typical bite full of resistance. Instead when sampled, it was just down right gross and cold. Now there was an option for plant based sausage, and that’s where I think there might have been a confusion. Whatever it may have been, it left a bad taste in my mouth. At least the waitress took off the charge for the protein. Now, one would expect (again, should have known that this was not a normal Italian style place) a full piece of chicken or a link or two of sausage when charged a premium for it to be added to a pasta or salad. Well, I guess not. At least not here. My partners dish lacked in flavor, seasoning, and the extra $8 for the chicken. We could only count three measly slices of chicken. And the person sitting to my other side ordered the Italian crumbles had nothing noticeable or resembling of sausage taste. The Vodka, which sounds too full of itself to be called vodka ala penne, had a sauce that was very heavy, yet watery. How does that work? And I feel bad for my other friend who ordered some pasta with added shrimp. They lost all sense of appetite when they bit into a shrimp and it was chewy. No. It was not over cooked. It was in fact, undercooked and mushy. They are not like myself, and didn’t say anything. They picked a few pieces of pasta, and stopped eating altogether. The food looked good. It looked appetizing. But looks only get you so far. The same goes for the entire restaurant, decor and environment. I do not see myself ever returning to this place. I would never even recommend this eatery. Going to my fair share of (american) italian restaurants, this place has definitely found its way to the very bottom of the list. Now I’m not saying Olive Garden is any better than this place, but what I’m saying is Delmonico’s down the road is worth the switch. Do go here if you want below average wait staff, long waits, and over priced, inedible food and cocktails.

One of my go to Italian restaurants in the area. I’ve never had a bad meal, everything from the salads to desserts is amazing. Service always is friendly and attentive. Their vodka sauce is my absolute favorite!! Its atmosphere is really nice and relaxing, you can get dressed up or be dressed down and feel comfortable and welcomed either way. I often frequent for dinner and happy hour. *Edit - DO NOT EVER DOOR DASH FROM THIS PLACE. DRIVER TOOK A PICTURE OF MY FRONT DOOR AND BOLTED WITH MY FOOD. DOORDASH WILL NOT RESPOND. DON'T DO IT. JUST STAY AWAY.

I and my fiancé got food poisoning here on 12/19/2024. We ordered calamari, side of creamy polenta, and half portions of the Norma and the Casareccio. We had been there 2 previous times with no issues, but the sickness we experienced has solidified that we will never eat here again. After taking more than two weeks to speak to me, one of the managers (Matt) called me to discuss the incident. He interrogated me for 15 minutes, asking unnecessary questions like where I and my fiancé work and if we took time off during the holidays. During the first conversation he claimed he is a “pseudo expert” on food poisoning and that if I would have simply gone to the doctor they would have told me that I didn’t get food poisoning from this restaurant. I and my fiancé developed symptoms of food poisoning in between 5-6 hours after eating here. After answering his incessant questions, I asked for a refund, which he promptly denied me, then hung up the phone. Very professional move. I called back a second time and he tried to make a deal with me. He said he would give me a gift card for half the price of the original meal if I would take down this post. When I told him I would accept nothing less than a full refund, he hung up again and said the restaurant would be better off without repeat customers like myself. I couldn’t delete this post, but had to amend it to tell me experience. Not only of the poisonous food that we ate in mid-December 2024, but now also because of the pompous, steamrolling, arrogant, and unhelpful leadership.

It’s a mediocre restaurant at best. If you’re someone who genuinely cares about good food, good cocktails, and quality service do not go here. You will be extremely disappointed.

Mediocre food and less than stellar service. My husband and I tried out Pasta Pane for the first time tonight (Saturday) and we were not impressed. The atmosphere was fine, except for the very loud party sat behind us. They obviously had too much to drink and should been cutoff well before glasses and plates shattered on the floor. It was busy, so I understand our waitress had other tables to attend to. But the amount of times she walked past our table without checking on us or clearing plates was ridiculous. Also, from where we sat, I could see her taking a break to check her phone near the kitchen - by this time, my water glass had been sitting empty for about 20 minutes and we were about ready for the check. We ordered two appetizers and two pasta dishes. For appetizers we ordered the Polpette (meatballs) and Innvoltini Melanzane (eggplant). The meatballs tasted bland and frozen. The eggplant was decent, but had too much cheese and sauce. For dinner we had the Mezzanine Otero, which tasted a bit like box mac ‘n cheese, and the Casareccio Ragu, which was decent but a little greasy. Honestly, the best part of our experience was the girl who brought us our bread and cleared our dishes. She was more attentive than our waitress.

$25 for below average bowl of macaroni And the waitress that never came back. The waitress took the tip but the busboys did all the work. Too dark inside to read the menu. If you like paying $25 for a dollar's worth of pasta and bread this is your place. I've had better experiences at Olive Garden.
