I've been here many times. Service was slower than it's been in the past, but to be fair every seat was full in the restaurant shortly after we sat down. The food is great and not super expensive like nearly all other restaurants nowadays. Even with the wait to order, etc. It was a 5 star experience.
Wife and I were in the area for an overnight stop on a road trip and craving some Vietnamese food. We couldn't have been happier with Saigon Spring! All of our food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Some of the best pho I have ever had with amazing meatballs. If you're in the area and craving some fantastic Vietnamese food, go here!
Best Duck I have ever eaten period. if I had to rate it 1 out of 10 it would be a 10!!!! very nice atmosphere and warm welcome I felt as if I was at home.
I can not emphasize how good the Pho is here. I have been getting pho every other week and always get the same dish 99.9% of the time because it's my #1 choice here. It is the Pho Short Rib!! The ribs are tender and savory. And the broth!! Hands down the best broth. The coctels are so delicious and highly recommended the wings for appetizers. They are so crunchy.
One of our favorite restaurants which we frequent. The food is consistently delicious and they have very fresh ingredients. Terrific service and well priced!
Every dish we had was just amazing. The green papaya salad is incredible. Will absolutely be back.
Pho was excellent. Very flavorful broth. After Saigon Pearl closed in Albany (breaking our hearts), we were looking for a Vietnamese place and Saigon Spring didn't disappoint. Yeah it's in a strip mall but it runs like a top. It's always packed, the menu is what you'd expect, and the service is excellent.
Busy Saturday evening but was able to get a table immediately for our party of 2. Clean, open seating area and very fast and friendly service. Ordered from the vegetarian section of the menu. Very well prepared, wonderful flavor, and good sized portions. Shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer were delicious. Highly recommended.
outstanding food in a very unassuming setting..well worth the trip
As good as NYC pho! Grilled pork chops are so superb and addictive.
Wonderful Pho, and other dishes, but I mostly just order the Filet Mignon Pho. Good teas & fun drinks as well. Everyone there is nice and efficient - even when busy.
First time visiting Albany and we were looking for a Vietnamese restaurant, Saigon Spring did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the wait staff were great. We will definitely visit again before we leave! We had the vermicelli with pork slices, pho, summer rolls, spring rolls, chicken wings, Thai iced teas and lemonade. I am Vietnamese and I would recommend this restaurant!
A customer recommended this place. The food was very fresh and very delicious. Food came out quick and service was exceptional. I will return here when in the neighborhood.
One of my favorite local restaurants in the Capital Region! Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent price. The Shaking Beef & Spicy Beef Salad are 2 of my favorites, and all of my friends rave about their Pho. Highly highly recommend. If it's not on your list, add it now.
I just need everyone to know how much I love this establishment. I stopped here on a road trip once in 2021 and I was immediately sad knowing I would only be able to have it every once in a while! I tell everyone about it. I compare all other pho restaurants to it. Everything has such a depth of flavor and I’ve never been disappointed. I feel lucky to have found it because my life has improved greatly since. Love you Saigon Spring <333
We came for dinner, and the restaurant was already crowded. We got a table within 5 minutes. Once we sat down, the appetizers came quickly Vì, followed by our dinner. It was quick service all around. We would go to this restaurant when we are up in Sagatora.
So delicious! I have tried several dishes from here by now and they are always so incredible and full of flavor. The spicy beef salad is so incredible, I crave it constantly! The chicken wings are crispy and delicious. The curry is an absolute must! Service is incredible, servers are kind and friendly.
This is easily the best restaurant I've ever visited. It's wild to me this place doesn't have a Michelin star. We go every chance we get. I hope it never goes away. Such a treat and worth the long drive for us
My son, his wife, and the grandkids kindly treated my wife and me to a dinner at this establishment. Today marked the inaugural visit for my wife and me at this restaurant, and it was truly exceptional. I savored the delectable SPICY LEMONGRASS BEEF paired with fragrant Jasmine rice. The flavors were exquisite, and the attentive staff catered to our every need. For anyone who adores tasty food, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Rest assured, we will be returning in the future. The food was incredibly delicious that I completely forgot to take a picture of it. My apologies! 😋
We know good Pho when we find it and this place is the best in the area to include the the other dishes. We come here a couple times a month. Very consistent with service and quality.
We tried this restaurant after it was recommended to us by multiple people and it did not disappoint. My husband had the spare ribs and pho and really liked them both. I had vegetable spring rolls and rice noodle stir fry (to me flavor was similar to pad Thai), and both were delicious as well. As a vegetarian I was pleased with the number of vegetarian offerings. Will come back.
Ultimately the best PHO place around the area! I am a FAN of Pho. I usually get the Pho with brisket and or with Short rib. Service is quick too, My go to comfort Asian place 😊
The hostess treated me with such a friendly demeanor- I was happy to also see they had outdoor seating. Indoor seating is limited. For obvious reasons, but they’ve made the best of the outside area to accommodate. The servers were very attentive, too. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken curry and veggie spring rolls (not seen in the picture below, because I DEVOURED them they were so good). Both were served at the right temperature and served pretty quickly. Still, I wasn’t in a hurry to go anywhere and was allowed to take my time, which I always enjoy. Even though it is in a shopping center, it is a great place to grab lunch!
Always a good experience! The food is always incredibly fresh. I've had many dishes and every single one has been delicious. There are gluten free, dairy free options. The tea is outstanding. I will continue to return and highly recommend this restaurant. The plaza it is located in is deceptive to the quaint atmosphere inside. It is always fairly busy, but it has never been a problem getting a table. Anyone looking for some yummy food should give this place a chance! You'll likely be back for more!
My favorite restaurant in Clifton Park. The food and service is 10/10. The Vietnamese food heals me.
Always coming here for pho. So so so so good! Try the chicken wings also!
Ok this place is amazing! Real traditional fresh Vietnamese food. The Shaking Beef (1st pic below) and the beef over rice (2nd pic) were amazing. The dishes are flavorful, juicy and tender. Plus the service is great and the place is very clean. Oh and their hot lychee tea is also wonderful.
I have been going here for years and it never disappoints! I love everything I've ever tried there!
Despite a completely packed restaurant, my friend and I had a fantastic lunch with good server attention and yummy pho. This location is tucked away in an unassuming shopping center - you would not look twice at it, if you didn't know what a find it is. The pho here is authentic, you can order it with oxtail and tripe if you wish. the lunch menu is reasonably priced, but not cheap. While we were at lunch, three groups of 10 came through. They were served quickly and efficiently, as were we. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite or for a group get together. There is plenty of parking and easy access to the Northway. I really enjoyed it and I will come here again!
Love this little vietnamese place. I am a regular at this spot. I always get either a fresh summer roll or crispy roll with shrimp and pork plus a bowl of pho tai which has thin sliced beef and I sometimes add tendon. I have been many times and have had the ribs which have a great sauce and there meals with rice or noodles without soup. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. They make all there food great.
A great place to enjoy Vietnamese food! I ordered the Clay pot chicken dish with came in an awesome caramelized sauce. Prices were fair and you get decent portions. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you haven't had a chance to enjoy Vietnamese food!
Food was good, but much like every Vietnamese restaurant I've been to so far in and around Albany it is for Americans. I ordered the bun bo hue and you can tell there's no shrimp paste or sate chilli. I asked the waiter for some and he was confused and said they didn't have any. Vietnamese coffee was at least authentic tasting. Spring rolls were good.
Delicious Vietnamese dishes at reasonable prices. We love the pho, the stir fries and the vermicelli. They have a specialty pho with grilled beef short ribs. It’s so delicious! We were there today. And they offer mobile order and payment now. You can order your dishes and pay all on your phone. Technology!!! The servers are always prompt and friendly. We love it here.
Saigon Spring was delicious! I was brought here by some friends who live locally and swear by it. They appear to know what they are talking about. The chicken wings I had were fantastic and the sauce for the wings was out of this world good. My main dish was a pork dish and they nailed it. Perfectly cooked with plenty of flavor. I also stole some bites of my friends dishes and I wouldn't hesitate to go family style to keep eating a little of everything. We went on a Friday evening and it was busy. Given how busy it was I was pleased with the speed of appetizers and main dishes coming out. A must try if you're in the area.... Enjoy!!!
Really good food. The broth is super flavorful. The crispy spring rolls are everything I crave in a crispy spring roll. Definitely recommend! Much better than 90% of restaurants in this area! Edit: My second time eating their food I decided to actually eat in rather than order out, and I'm so glad I did. That was one of the most pleasant eating experiences I've ever had. The food is truly exceptional. The staff were all super friendly, attentive, and polite. They got pretty busy for the lunch rush and didn't seem fazed at all. I will reiterate that this place is better than 90% of restaurants around the Clifton Park area, and add that I think they might be *the* best restaurant in Clifton Park.
The best Vietnamese experience in the Capital District. I recommend this place for anyone looking for an excellent meal at a family owned and ran establishment. You should always reserve a dinner table during the weekend.
I just had the most delish pho I’ve ever eaten- and I’ve tried a lot. They completely catered to my gluten allergy as well. I really give this place a 10/10. Will be coming back
This was my first time here, and everything was wonderful! I had the spicy lemongrass beef rice set and it was delicious! Plus, I had plenty leftover to bring home! The staff was also great! Highly recommend!
Love this place! Their wonton soup is delicious and I wish we could purchase their broth in bulk. My husband recently tried their BBQ ribs and said they were the best he's had. The servers are friendly, the place is clean, and their lychee tea will keep your warm on a cold day.
Went on a slow day. Food was amazing. Best pho we ever had. Pho very flavorful. Vietnamese coffee very good. Servers very kind and friendly.
Wonderful food. I stop by at least once a week for a bowel of pho. The service is spectacular and even when it’s busy it’s still a calm and relaxing experience.
Gluten free Pho Ga!!! ❤️ I have Celiac and love Pho. I was able to enjoy the Pho Ga and Summer Rolls (no peanut sauce) and it was so good. I wish I lived closer.
Hands down one of the best pho experiences in the capital region. It’s tucked away up in Clifton park is my only complaint! Come to Albany! It’s a hit with the locals and is always packed with folks who know the food well. Delicious vegan and vegetarian options as well.
Got a Pho dish, a pork & noodle dish and ribs. And I can say that I was not disappointed. This place is pretty popular around dinner time, but the food is amazing. Would recommend for either take out or din-in.
The place is clean and the food is amazing. I usually get Vietnamese coffee or lemongrass lemonade in addition to ample water they provide. For the main dish I recommend a lemongrass pork chop, beef slices with rice noodles or chicken curry. The curry is on a heavier side, they put ample coconut cream there. Their pho, unfortunately, has bones in it so that's a deal breaker for both me and my spouse.
We came here for lunch, and it was so good that we came back for supper the same day. We tried a range of dishes—Bun Bo Hue, Pho with brisket, half chicken dinner, ginger salmon with rice, beef and spring roll vermicelli, and chicken curry with rice—and everything was delicious. The Bun Bo Hue had the perfect level of spice, just how I like it. The half chicken dinner was a pleasant surprise—moist and flavorful, and it’s the first time I’ve seen it offered at a Vietnamese restaurant. The beef and spring roll vermicelli was spot on, with the beef having a jerky-like texture that made the dish even better. The Pho was comforting and well-balanced. One thing that stood out was the fish sauce served with the dishes—it had a unique twist. It wasn’t the usual sweet variety, and while I couldn’t quite figure out the ingredients (maybe apple cider vinegar?), it was delicious. If you’re craving authentic and flavorful Vietnamese food, Saigon Spring is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back again when we’re back in the area
This was actually incredible. The restaurant was super busy, but we still got sat very quickly and our orders were taken and brought to us very fast. The food was incredible. This was the best pho I’ve ever had, the broth was amazing. I felt the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. I’m glad we got the hot tea, more than enough to share.
We’ve been here multiple times, and it’s one of our favorite restaurants in Clifton Park. All of the appetizers are really good (Shrimp summer rolls and spare ribs are my fav), and pho with briskets and beef eye round is always mouthwatering. We’ve never been disappointed with the food here. My only wish is that they open til at least 9pm.
Our food was very good, had the grilled shrimp with vermicelli noodles. The shrimp was a little over cooked though. The summer rolls were delicious!
My family has been coming to this restaurant for years. We absolutely love the food and the speedy and very accurate service. We have noticed, however, that the protein portions in the dishes has substantially decreased, even after requesting extra protein for a surcharge. I would prefer a price increase over a decrease in the quality of the dining experience. Again, this is our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the capital district and the food is delicious; I would just want to have the same amount of protein as in the past, even if it would require increasing the price a bit.
Excellent Asian food! I had 1/2 crispy duck. The best I have ever had! Here in Rochester I have tried numerous Asian restaurants, some of come close but this was great! My wife enjoyed the lemon grass chicken, but has had better. The young man, waiter was polite and helpful.
Food was excellent and presentation was good. Portions were very generous, and there is a good variety of options that will appeal to a wide range of people. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorates. Service was cold and mechanical — nothing terrible, but a little more warmth and enthusiasm would go a long way.
Food is awesome. Service and atmosphere is below average. They mess your order up way too often because they revised their menu and made it much more confusing. You could say the same thing to two different people and get two different dishes. No consistency between their menus and the website which makes it a hassle to order. You’re in Clifton Park….very few people are going to even attempt to pronounce the name of the dish in Vietnamese. The descriptions are what most of your customers use to order. That means they need to be the same on all of the different platforms you utilize. Otherwise your staff is going to continue to be confused. You are the ones who changed your menu and the descriptions. Again, there is absolutely no consistency anymore so don’t get pissed at customers when they ask for clarification. I would order here once a week, but don’t because I don’t feel like arguing with the staff when they get my order wrong. I get the same thing every time. Just look up what I got last time and make it again. Very simple. I don’t care what you call it. If I tell you I want vermicelli with lemongrass beef you should know what that is. I should never receive the rice dish (bò xào sa ót)…or worse yet…have two meals waiting for me when I arrive. You changed your menu and took the word “lemongrass” out of the description for many of the dishes. You describe it as “sautéed sirloin beef” in some dishes, “grilled beef” in others, and “sautéed spicy lemongrass beef” for another one. They all get the same beef though. You even call it “sautéed sirloin beef vermicelli over vermicelli” in one description. No such thing exists. Vermicelli means noodle…there is no such thing as “beef vermicelli” because you don’t make noodles out of beef. “Rice vermicelli noodle” is redundant….it’s like saying rice noodle noodle. The solution is simple. Fix YOUR mistakes and stop getting pissed off at customers. You’d make more money. You should revise the description of “bún bò xào” on your paper menu to “sautéed lemongrass beef over rice vermicelli” and add the Vietnamese names of the dishes to your website. You will have less issues. Also, why are you only offering spicy beef with rice and not vermicelli? That makes no sense.
Good was fantastic and seating is arranged, so your conversation can remain private.. Very nice place
The best Pho restaurant in Clifton Park! The rate and freshness of their broth is incredible. You'll even find exotic pho dishes that include ox tail! The beef broth beats anything found in the zip code and offered by health stores that sell beef broth. The setting is clean and the waiting staff are very efficient and attentive. I've taken my entire 10 person office out and we were seated and eating our meals within 10 minutes! The dining area has ample seating. I've even done takeout and the packaging ensured the food remained fresh and hot. I haven't tried anything yet that I didn't enjoy. The rice combination platters come with meats that taste like they were grilled on a charcoal grill just like I like them and are simply delicious. I highly recommend this as your go to pho restaurant!
This place was pretty good. The broth was not super deep flavor but good enough. A little bit sweet and pretty strong fish sauce flavor. One kind of meats was a little stinky but others were very fresh. Cha gio’s texture and flavor were great. The staff were kind and the restaurant was super clean. $16 for the Saigon Pho was a little bit pricey.
Food was average. I would prefer Van's Vietnamese restaurant in Albany. Service was not good. Waitress did not check on me or say anything at all. Right after I finished my last bite, she only put the bill on the table, came back, took the card, and then gave me back the card, WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. It was 2:30 pm there were 2 other tables so I dont see why I was being ignored. Never come back again
Food is not bad, but the service needs to be improved
Terrible service, we order two soup noodles and we didn’t receive a single vege plate. When I was drinking my coffee the waitress came and tried to grab the plates and then asked me if we are done eating, I asked why didn’t we receive the vege plate, she said she forgot...honestly there were at least three waitress/waiters glancing at my table several times, I understand if she were new and is the only one serving my table and forget, but sorry buddy the one who was ordering our food wasn’t her. Overall the food was ok, the eye round was dry so you better eat it fast when it just turns pink, and the coffee was bitter and intense. We were driving for 20mins for TeaPlus noodle place but that restaurant was closed bc of holiday, so we thought we could try this pho place, will not return, DO NOT RECOMMEND!
we had 2 pho, there’s a human Hair in my bowl, then I ask a service say is that hair in there and their service say it’s a not humans hair, Then he got me a new bowl and then they were short of my beef balls and I had to ask them for my beef balls again. They didn't handle things very well and lied to me that it wasn't human hair.Never come back!
Pho is mid. They didn’t give me siracha with my pho even though it says they will in the online order.
