Tip: Go for the wings, especially on your birthday for the free wing deal. Be aware that the place can get very busy, especially on football days, so plan accordingly or avoid those hours if you prefer a quieter experience.

Very hometown tavern vibe and some of the best wings around. Crispy, flavorful, and always consistent. Plus the birthday special is awesome. Rusty Nail never disappoints.
We went for my husband's 41st birthday but we didnt get to finish all the wings .it was too much. I love it. Planning to go back for my birthday in june.
Just really great bar food with super friendly staff. Probably eaten there a dozen times and always good. Have gotten to-go a couple times and same - really good. Don’t worry if seems busy the kitchen is run like a machine food is out quickly!!! Use parking lot an above restaurant, so much easier to get in and out! The beef dip with Mac salad is kinda my go to meal. Always yummy. Lots of beers to choose from nice tap selection- from easy domestic to fuller crafts served in cold pint glass!! Definitely worth the trip.
We went for the 1st time for dinner last night (Tuesday) and it was packed. There were no tables available and the hostess asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We love sitting at the bar, chatted with a new waitress . Definitely a local hot spot. Food was delicious and hubby loved the beer selection
Pretty good food, but my experience was a typical due to enjoying their birthday promotion. It's about what you would expect from a tavern/sports bar, with a sizable menu and drink selection.
Good beer selection. Hard to find a seat (and get served) on football days so avoid those hours if you're not into that. They left something out of my takeout order and the next time I came in bartender made sure I got that item for free with my new order. Friendly people.
Love this place. It’s our go-to when we’re in town. It’s always busy and always fun. The staff is wonderful. Donna is the best! She is always smiling. Friendly and attentive no matter how busy she is. The food is great. Their wings are absolutely the best with a huge variety of interesting flavors. Sandwiches are also great. We shared the fish and chips this time. It was plenty for the two of us and delicious.
This is my first time at the rusty nail. It was such a quaint intimate place. They have a really great deal for your birthday. You get free wings and a drink on your physical birthday. They also have some really inventive Items on the menu. I really appreciated the wood burning fire stove in the main room to keep it warm. It's a hop in place and it is a little bit crowded, but it was worth the wait. The fries are amazing and I did love the boneless chicken wings definitely going back and would recommend this place.
Thank you Rusty Nail! My 60th Bday was Exceptional! I give both Amy & Aimee a BIG SHOUT OUT! GREAT PEOPLE SKILLS. MY Fav wing is the Dry Cajun wings! Thx Again! Lainé
First off, the parking lot was packed and the place was hopping, but the service is so good that I had to stop and write a review. We got right in, the staff were upbeat and quick, and most of all, they help each other. In my experience, staff that works together to keep things quick and friendly is the difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant. This place was great. Great beer list, excellent wings and I have to say that my Philly cheesesteak was perfect. Great flavor and above and beyond with the quality of the grilled onions and toasted bun. We took the non-Boston route from Maine to Buffalo, overnighting here, and our hotel staff at the La Quinta (also great) recommended this place. Being big wing fans, we couldn’t help but notice that every table we saw had ordered wings. With reason. The difficult balance between crispy wings (my wife) and juicy wings (me) was on point here. Just perfect. And you have to respect a place that has a fifty wing option on the menu. Given the beautiful drive through NH and VT instead of around Boston and down the Mass Pike avoided all of the 495 stress and terrible traffic and took a sum total of ten minutes longer, I think this is our new go to, at least until the snow falls (decent number of mountains and turns, fair warning). The Rusty Nail will be our dinner choice every time.
I got the Maple Chipotle, Sweet Heat, and 24 Karat. The wings were all nice and crispy. The Sweet heat has a nice sweet taste to that leaves a nice tingle in your mouth. The 24 Karat is a great Carolina BBQ. The Maple Chipotle was their weekly special. The sauce was a bit runny so it didn't stick well to the wing and I wanted it to have stronger but still had a nice taste to it. I spent 60 dollars for 30 wings. Which wouldn't be so bad if I just got 1 flavor
Rusty Nail runs a super tight operation! Not that you need me to tell you that! How they sling so many wings for Birthdays and not, makes them the best in the area, and not only due to the top notch service, but the wings are great, the food is great, the whole experience is awesome! If you happen to show up and there's a wait....it's worth it, and you'll soon know why.
Great place for wings. I went recently on my 28th birthday and was not disappointed. The wings were great and they were free because it was my birthday. We all had a great time and the food and the waitstaff was amazing. This only place I will go to get wings from now on. And I will be going here on my birthday for the rest of my life.
This place isn't far from I87 interstate. The food was top notch, wings cooked perfectly! the soup was really fresh!! The kids split a order of chicken tenders and fries and left with plenty of leftovers. We had a club sandwich big enough for 2 or 3 people! Definitely was not expecting the amount of food. 5 outta 5 service food and atmosphere!
The wings were great. Would have been a five-star review if it weren't for the staff. Myself and two of my party members were disabled. So we parked in the handicap spot and walked into the entrance clearly marked "handicap entrance" located right next to the handicap parking spots. A staff member ran over and shouted, "You're not supposed to use that door, it's the handicap entrance!" I politely explain to her that three people of our party of four were disabled. She went on to chastise us about how it makes the other patrons cold when that door gets open. When we went to leave, this entrance was locked. Extremely dangerous, as this is marked as a fire exit; It was the only exit out of the building from this dining room, and the dining room was packed. If there was a fire or other emergency, this would have been a huge problem.
Great service but the place is always packed. The birthday wing deal is probably why..to be frank the wings are not anything spectacular but there are some cool flavors.
Food was really good. Service was a little snippy when we first got in, and the wait time was not accurate (was on the waitlist for 1+ hours when it said it was going to be 15 mins). The atmosphere was good and the drinks were unique.
I ordered a Reuben sandwich to go. One half litterally had dressing and a very small piece of meat. The other half had two slices of deli corned beef, a minute of saurerkrout, and dressing. Wondered if it would have been any better if I was eating it in the restaurant. $16 for two pieces of deli meat, two slices of bread, a teaspoon of saurerkrout and three tablespoons of dressing.NEVER ORDERING TO GO AGAIN
I had heard a lot about this place for bday wings and the bday drink. Since my normal place closed (made me so sad) told my daughter why not. We arrive and are seated immediately. It's busy but not too bad. One waitress comes over - as I have never been I had questions about the bday wings since the normal menu said one thing but the bday menu was a bit different. The waitress seemed annoyed and impatient. I ended up ordering 30 boneless wings with three different flavors and the bday drink. Also ended up ordering 10 of the bone in wings as well with a different waitress that came over. She also seemed annoyed. We asked for ranch instead of the blue cheese. Bday drink comes - a blue Hawaiian in a 32oz plastic cup. It was really sweet and mostly juice. If you drink that the next one is free. I had finished it just as the wings came out. The wings and the flavors were decent. Cooked well, sauced well except for the garlic Parm. Those were more like grated Parm cheese topped with no garlic. I also ordered the poutine which was actually really very good. Asked again for the side of ranch and received a small ramekin for three people eating 40 wings. Wanted more but didn't ask since every question seemed to be an issue. Second bday drink comes which actually has some alcohol/liquor in it to where I could taste it. My daughter ordered two green tea shots but got charged for Jamison's. Didn't even bother asking them about the charge. Overall my experience being there for the first time and especially on my bday was not extremely pleasant. While the wings were decent, it was nothing like I kept hearing about. Maybe the waitresses we had were having an off night - 🤷♀️🤷♀️. I did get a nice purple cup to take home.
Horribly inaccessible to anyone with mobility challenges. Bathrooms are 100% inaccessible for anyone who uses a wheelchair or walker. Outdoor walkways were shoveled but not clear. The ramp outside is incredibly slippery when wet making it very unsafe for anyone who has difficulty walking or who uses walking aids. Our food was ok. The poutine on the menu is not actual poutine, just gravy fries and melted cheese. Our wings were very good though. Also our wait for a table was over an hour. If you can walk typically this would probably be fine. But I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone who uses any type of mobility aid or who needs space to move. We will not be going back.
Be WARNED. They straight up scam you on the birthday wings. You may think you’re getting a deal but everything else on you check is 400% price hiked to make up the difference. With a forced tip of a huge percent. The waitresses could not be any more mean if they were paid to be. Everyone here is miserable and unhappy and it’s an energy you feel as soon as you walk in.
The waitresses here are extremely rude and have absolutely 0 sense of humor. They seemed pissed off like they hate their life and job. A joke goes right over their head. I wish they could smile and be more friendly to customers. It’s “what do you want” not even a friendly hello. They need a lesson from other restaurants in Clifton park on courtesy. Also if you call for a reservation and come when they say it’s ready your table won’t be ready for another hour or more. Host staff doesn’t do a very good at seating.
Dined here last night for a birthday celebration and had a terrible experience. As a waitress myself I try to give grace when due but last night was atrocious. We have been here before for birthdays so we know how the wing situation works; the waitress told us at least 3 different things all which were counterintuitive with their birthday celebration rule menu, and talked down to us the entire duration of taking our orders. The food expo was amazing, he said it was his first night and what a sweet man he was (the only good part of our night) The food came out and we finished eating. The server never checked on us to see if we needed anything, drinks went without being refilled and after about 45 minutes of being done with our food she came over to check on us. At this point the restaurant had cleared out so there was really no excuse on why we had not been checked on. We asked for to go boxes for our purchased food (not wings) and she was adamant on taking the wings away first. No problem we understand the rules but she never came back to bring us boxes and another server thankfully did. She quickly dropped the check off and we were done, we didn’t even get the chance to leave before she was trying to grab the check off the table. For an automatic 18% gratuity, the very least you can do is expect your servers to provide service worth that. The food came out quickly thanks to the nice expo, but truthfully I have never had such horrible service in my whole life.
Incredibly disappointed about the absolute lack of service and attitude given by the staff. We went this evening at around 4:45pm to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday with a group of 6. Our waitress took a long time to greet us and finally took our beverage order. We then asked to place appetizers and asked if a couple menus could be left behind as we’d also order entrees in a few. She made several backhanded remarks about the appetizers ordered and must have told us 10 times that ranch and blue cheese was extra. After appetizers were dropped we never saw her again. Someone else finally came over and asked if we needed drinks but that was it. I finally asked for a Manager because I actively felt like we were being ignored. Rather than order more food, we opted to pay and go somewhere else. Only then did she finally appear and was more concerned about the check than anything else. Don’t worry, we paid. I did tell the manager I didn’t think she deserved the preset tip so he took that off and I tipped 10% which was more than generous in my opinion. All in all a horrible experience (we’ve been here many times and it was always great) but holy cow not tonight. If you don’t like doing the birthday wings then don’t offer them. Simple as that. But for the waitress’ to ignore your table and give attitude isn’t acceptable
