Had an incredible experience my first time here (visiting from Pittsburgh)! We had the mussels and the Dijon cream sauce was insanely good. The lobster ravioli was everything. The tuna was the freshest most melt in your mouth tuna I’ve ever had. Shoutout to our server, Ben! He was knowledgeable and made great recommendations! Would absolutely come back.
Having a meal at Pompano Grill is an absolute pleasure. Chef Ricardo is consistently creating the most unique food experiences. Make reservations and enjoy dining at this quaint, locally owned and operated restaurant. A 5 Star experience.
On the menu there is an option to buy a round of drinks for the kitchen… it was a no brainer. The food was immaculate. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. The cake was light and not too sweet. The flatbread was out of this world - someone teach me to make that. I’ll be back and you should go too. Cheers to our waiter, Ben! And to the chef (I assume he has a little rat under his hat controlling his movements)!
Fabulous fine dining hidden gem in Cocoa Beach! I highly recommend this restaurant! This fresh seafood, steak and pasta restaurant is top notch on all levels. The service was outstanding and our server (Austin?) was very professional and made us feel so welcomed. Every staff member we encountered was great. The food was so delicious, I will always dine here when I visit in the future! Very quaint yet upscale with a relaxing atmosphere, make reservations and find out for yourself!
My wife and eat at a new place every week, but not anymore. This is our new spot at least twice a month because I don't think we could find better service or food anywhere else. Austin was an excellent attentive waiter who made the experience more enjoyable. If you like bacon, you need to get the Millionaire Bacon appetizer. Amazing flavor and great visually. I had the pork chop, and my wife had the shrimp with cream sauce. Both were the best. Get the mushroom sauce for the pork. We also had the baked brie, and that was great as well. Lastly, the brussel sprouts were AMAZING! There was no room for dessert, but next time. It was truly the best meal of my life!
This review is overdue and now I’m kicking myself for forgetting my waiters name!! He was awesome. We had a great experience here, the food was delicious and our service was perfect. My only critique is whoever did the branding did not work with the interior designer 😂 the logo is so cute, very much a gatsby vibe, but the design of the restaurant is not that vibe at all. It’s sooo close to being a beautiful “scene” with great food, but just missed the mark for me aesthetically. Sounds silly, I know! Luckily we come for the food, but taking the atmosphere up a notch would just put this place over the top.
A girls retreat for the weekend and we found this restaurant and was an incredible dining experience. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was so attentive and accommodating. The ambiance was perfect and the food was excellent and beautiful presentation. We will come back!
Great place, great atmosphere, amazing service, excellent food! Quiet little restaurant with around 15 tables, clean and simple decoration, no loud music. Great for an adult night out! I did not see any kids or kids menu! High cuisine, perfectly executed! Waiters educated, respectful and clean. Love it
My husband and I just went here for a date night. We vacation here every year, and this was our first time eating here. The service was top-notch, and the food was incredible. I highly recommend it!
We made a reservation here to celebrate Valentine's Day the weekend before. It was a good choice. We decided to sit on the patio since the inside is a little small. We had escargot for an appetizer and we both had the grouper for our entree. The portions were massive and we were both stuffed. But we managed to share a tiramisu as well. I also had a glass of wine. In total our bill was pretty pricey but this is definitely a fancy place to go out. Worth it!
Pompano Grill is by far one of the best restaurants in Cocoa Beach, and one of the best in this whole area of Florida! It is worth quite the drive for - it’s that good! First off, you pretty much have to make reservations here as it is very small and will almost always be completely filled unless you’re one of the last tables of the evening. Be prepared it’s pretty noisy! The only times we’ve had it quieter were when we selected one of the last reservation times of the evening. Just something to know if you’re wanting to plan a romantic dinner that evening! On to the food, this is one of those places where EVERYTHING on the menu is exceptional. We’ve visited here many times and tried pretty much everything and I can honestly say there has been nothing I’ve been disappointed with. They hit the nail on the head every time we visit! Their appetizers are amazing - the millionaire bacon is literally caramelized sweet & spicy bacon covered in gold flake. Literally the BEST bacon I’ve ever had and a must-try!! The bread is soft, warm, and comes with an awesome butter (the butter flavor changes every once in a while). The lobster (or crab) deviled eggs take deliver eggs to the next level - deviled eggs aren’t for everyone, but if you like them, you should DEFINITELY try them. And the deep-fried brie cheese…oh my LORD it is amazing! A massive chunk of fried brie cheese topped with their famous bacon, berries, pecans, jam, and more!! Another must-try!! Their escargot is incredible as well! I love escargot and this is some of the best escargot I’ve ever had before as well. Finally, the smoked fish dip tastes super smoky and so fresh - I love fish dip and Pompano Grill makes an amazing one. But if I had to choose 2 appetizers for your first visit, the deep-fried brie and millionaire bacon are a MUST! On to other food, they have one of the best Caesar salads I’ve ever had, their steaks are always a favorite when we take guests here, truffle fries are always a home run, but the seafood is really some of their best options. They always have 2 special fish of the day prepared in very unique ways, and many times it’s a fish you’ve never heard of before or a preparation you never would’ve even thought was possible! Their creamy shrimp pasta is filling, amazing, and something I would literally have every day, and we’ve taken guests here before that say Pompano Grill’s scallops are the biggest and best they’ve ever had. Moral of the story: you can order pretty much anything and have a wonderful meal! Finally, desserts are another category that is over-the-top at Pompano Grill. They have a dessert chef in-house who creates all the desserts fresh right then and there and they have had some AMAZING selections of the years. Make sure to save room for dessert because they are so good! I just can’t recommend this place enough. You’ll love Pompano Grill!
This is a small restaurant with approx 17 tables inside and several on front outdoor porch area. The service was excellent and the food was good. When I go back, I will order something a little different. To start, the Caesar salad and wedge salad were great. My wife ordered the triple tale w/coconut rice and a coconut curry that was excellent. I tried something a little different than I normally would, I ordered the psycho fish burger and fries. It was pretty good but a bit blan. I had the server bring some of the coconut curry to add to it. Desert was a chocolate almond type cake which was very good. Overall I would have given it a 4.5 but the rating will not allow. The service made me rate a 5. P.S. the guy next to me got the pork chop and it looked AMAZING.
A small group of friends and I visited this place while renting a home nearby. We were very pleasantly surprised by the level and quality of this restaurant being located in a well know beach town. Most of the group got a seafood dish and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. The wine selection was extensive and we got a bottle of red and white that hit the spot. The bread with cacio e Pepe butter is a must to start with. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little more than bar food at a beach bar while in town. Also this place had one of the coolest sinks in the bathroom 😆
Jen took care of us upon arrival, explaining the whole menu and making excellent food recommendations. She delivered a great customer service and also assisted with fitting us for a reservation in one of their busiest days of the year, on a New Year’s Eve. We recommend this outstanding restaurant, the food is amazing and the service made the greatest experience for us celebrating our wedding anniversary/ we will for sure come back soon! Highly recommended. Thank you Jen!
Exceptional experience! This establishment crushed it from start to finish. Serving staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Made my wife and I feel like we belong. The food is the best we’ve had in a long time. Fun atmosphere. We will be back!
Hands down the best restaurant in Cocoa Beach! My boyfriend and I were visiting my mother from Seattle and have high standards when it comes to food. When I stumbled upon this gem I was so excited to try it because there aren’t many like it on the island. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Our food and service was phenomenal!! They have a great natural wine selection and generously offered samples of them before I made a decision. Our server was extremely knowledgeable, kind and attentive even with a X-Large party dining at the same time. The escargot is an absolute must! It’s been 4 months since we were there and we rated it our favorite meal of 2021. We can’t wait to come back and dine again! Would recommend 10/10.
Had such a fun and meaningful dinner with my girls! The vibe was just right, the food was absolutely exquisite, and the service made the night. Huge shoutout to Austin, his warmth, attention, and positive energy made us feel truly special. He turned a great night into an unforgettable one. 😍🥰
Small, family owned, very talented, world-class food quality and delivery. Attention to detail beyond just food. Friendly staff... What else can you ask for... Will come again. Scallops fresh, Tuna melts like butter, fish dip was surprisingly good (had a kick to it)... But flawless.
The service & food was fantastic! Deep Fried Brie, Caesar Salad, Creamy Shrimp Pasta and the drink "You Make Me Blush" was Amazing! We will be back the end of April.
Food really surprised me here, it was very high end. The establishment itself gives you vibes of a lower end restaurant than the food describes. But for Cocoa Beach, this was easily the best food we had on our trip. Great spot for wine and a traditional 5 star meal.
Pompano Grill is a lovely restaurant. Located just off a main road running through Cocoa Beach. Every member of the wait staff must love working there, as the enthusiasm they have doing it really shows. Every one of them spoke with us at some point during our time there. They have a very nice selection of item on the menu. In addition, they have a few specials available, which the server will describe. I opted for something I thought would be a simple Shrimp & Grits. I was amazed at the bowl they brought out. You can see it in the photos I'm posting here. Diced jalapeno peppers and bacon slivers. The flavors were very delicious, subtle, not overly powerful and came through in every bite. My wife had Grouper with mashed potatoes as one of the Catches of the Day. You can also see this tasty dish in on of the posted photos. My own mother liked preparing Grouper with capers and did them nicely, but they have a winning recipe at Pompano Grill. Personally, I'm not a fan of capers, but I did cut a small piece from the edge of my wife's serving. It was cooked nicely and presented really well with awesome mashed potatoes. My wife was very happy with all the flavors. The portions were just perfect. So, with one appetizer between us, a small salad, and the main course we felt we could share one desert. We chose the Key Lime Pie. It was all homemade and it was very delicious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Awesome food! Perfect atmosphere! Millionaire bacon was amazing! Steak was perfectly cooked!
This was a great find! Small, quiet, wonderful service, excellent food. Make the reservation and go! It was so wonderful and worth it! We had the fried brie, a dinner portion of the Carbonera with fried shrimp and the tuna special. I would drive 200 miles to cone eat here.
Fourth visit, and this team is consistently amazing. Our server, Angelica, was knowledgeable on the entire food and wine menus. Timing of courses and wine service was perfect. Can't wait to go back again.
Everything about this place is amazing! Jackie has renovated the restaurant and it is simply gorgeous! Her attention to detail is impeccable. Ricardo is an amazing chef ! The waitstaff - Erika, Summer, Justin are equally skilled and attentive. If ever around the Cocoa Beach area this is a must! We went 2 nights in a row!
Great date night spot. Attentive service and excellent food. Highly recommend the fried brie.
If your in cocoa beach you must stop here. The food was absolutely delicious, Austin was also a great server! Get the mussels!
I had the tuna encrusted wasabi and soy ginger glaze with coconut rice. Tuna was cooked perfect for my liking, flavor was excellent. I would definitely recommend this dish, friends had the veal chops, they both gave it 5 stars. Very intimate, and nice atmosphere, decorated wonderfully for the Christmas holiday. Service, very personal, family owned, very attentive to our needs.
Oh my goodness, this is the best of the best!!! The service, the atmosphere, the food, the wine and then the desserts. We had the absolute best time. Thank you to all the PG staff, you are exemplary!!!
First time we love it , definitely a place to come back . We enjoy all and we want it more although we was so full , happy to know the owner is a female . Great service thanks for all the good foods 😏
Amazing food every time! Never disappoints! Our favorite date night spot in cocoa beach for outstanding food and service
Absolutely hands down the best restaurant in Cocoa Beach! The owners are fantastic and even let us have a particular table when we go in. Shout out to Austin who is alway professional and knowledgeable about each and every dish. I’m a very picky person and I have had amazing meals there every time…the Cheshire pork chop is my all time best meal of my life! Go see them and you won’t be sorry🥰
Went here in a whim and was NOT disappointed. This was a beautiful environment, delicious food, and incredible service. I felt seen here. I felt heard. I felt taken care of. What a restaurant. Unlike any other.
Thank-you Pompano Grill for a wonderful evening celebratory meal! Your resto is our favorite place to bring family and friends that visit us. Chef Ricardo never disappoints, service is impeccable and the atmosphere is delightful!
Dominic, Austin & the owners made this a one of a kind culinary experience. Totally worth the drive from Savannah. PEI mussels in mustard cream sauce was an inspiration, the triple tail and Halibut divine creations...and the strawberry crepe cake and citrus cheesecake were the perfect light desserts after a full dinner. It's small but elegant with gorgeous metal wall sculptures.
Pompano Grill is a hidden gem! 💎 This small, locally owned restaurant is truly something special. The chef pours heart and soul into every dish, and it shows—everything is made from scratch, including the desserts (which are next level). The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, perfect for a special night out. It’s small, so reservations are a must, but 100% worth it. Support small business and treat yourself—you won’t regret it. ✨
My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Pompano Grill, and it was a truly memorable experience. We were touched to find a “Happy Anniversary” card waiting on our table, it was such a thoughtful and personal gesture. Our server was attentive and kind, and the food was absolutely incredible. Thank you for making our special night even more special.
One of my favorite places to eat locally. The food is amazing and the staff is exceptional. If you're looking for "looks fancy" this isn't the place. It runs on its own vibe, and thats what makes it special. It's true, authentic, and overall a hidden gem. What makes this place stand out for me, I went there for an anniversary dinner. I ordered an appetizer that they usually have but didn't that night due to not having fresh ingredients. Instead of saying we cant make this, the chef asked if we mind waiting that he would run out and get what he needed to make it for us. They went above and beyond to surpass expectations for us.
I had an incredible dining experience at Pompano Grill! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The highlight of my meal was the mussels—perfectly cooked, plump, and bursting with flavor in a rich, garlicky broth that I couldn’t stop sopping up with the fresh bread. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, but those mussels were unforgettable. Highly recommend Pompano Grill for a fantastic meal!
This small and cozy CCB restaurant offers unique twists to traditional seafood, steak and pasta dishes with Chef Ricardo’s personal touch. You will never be bored by the menu with great sauces, outstanding appetizers and seafood and steaks. Pompano has the expected incredible seafood selection of a premiere sea-focused offerings but the steaks eclipse even the national high end houses: perfectly prepared and served by friendly, well informed staff. These things, along with a magnificent wine list will convince you along with the many other fans of Pompano Grill that this is a very special place for dinner.
Me and my wife shared an amazing experience at Pompano Grill! From the moment we got to the restaurant we already knew it was going to be something special. Food was exceptional! For appetizers we had their bread and butter and for this particular night, they had prime rib sliders which both appetizers were phenomenal. Then we went into the salad portion of the dining experience which let me not forget that our waiter through out of all of this was informative about everything on the menu and just a great guy to talk to. For our main meal I had the triple tail and my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs . My wife loves Italian food and loves pasta and this did not disappoint. She absolutely loved the meat balls and pasta here. I’m a sucker for fish and boy it did not disappoint. All in all this is our new favorite restaurant and we will be coming back for more!
Hands down, Pompano Grill is a MUST-VISIT for seafood lovers! The freshness of their food is unparalleled - their Triple Tail is TO DIE FOR! Not only did the food blow me away, but the service was top-notch. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made our experience even more special. And the ambiance? Perfect for a romantic date night! The vibe is upscale yet cozy, making it an ideal spot to impress your significant other. If you're looking for a restaurant that will wow you with flavor, service, and atmosphere, Pompano Grill is IT! 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give 'em 10 if I could!
My wife and I were celebrating our birthdays. ‘Had an amazing experience. Customer service was over the top. Food was absolutely amazing. When we come back to this area, we will visit again. Thanks so much!
Amazing food, fab service by Matt and rest of team. It was busy and at times a bit loud but that’s the sign of a great small restaurant. Food was so tremendous, seafood PERFECTLY cooked. The baked brie was lovely, those spiced pecans are too die for! Excellent shrimp, scallops and the lobster in the sauce was butter poached and melt in your mouth! Too full for dessert this time but we’ll be back! Oh and Sangria was a spiced orange treat.
Pompano Grill was recommended by our Airbnb hosts & I have read reviews on other websites about it. We were able to get a reservation right when they opened. It’s a very much hole in the wall restaurant. I was expecting a little more fanciness to it given the prices. They only have beer and wine- no cocktails which was a little disappointing. I had the filet and my husband had Pasta Carbonara. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. Food and service was very good overall! The prices were too expensive for what it was!
No idea that the outside seating in the photo was on a busy street. That couldn't work. But the food was good and the staff was attentive. The room was small and for no more than six. Not as expensive as advertised.
I hope people don't just look at the star rating, and actually read this stuff. If the star rating only concerned the actual taste of the food, they would be getting a 5 star, but that's not all everyone bases going to a restaurant on. This place was small, not a problem, but the seats were uncomfortable. The temperature inside the restaurant was hot, VERY hot. I'm not sure how many people like to sweat while they eat a nice dinner out and are in their nice clothes, but they need to seriously do something about the temperature inside this restaurant. It was probably 78° to 80° inside. There were no air conditioning vents in the ceiling of their main dining room. They even had the back door to the restaurant propped open, and it is a very small restaurant; I'm sure that didn't help with the temperature inside, as it is the middle of June, in FLORIDA. I am a natural born Floridian, and I was sweating inside the restaurant. Next, like I stated, if the food taste alone was the only significance to the rating, it would be a 5+++, but food taste isn't the only thing that matters. How about portion size? Check out the photos. The fork is there to show you relative size. I had not taken a bite of anything. My wife is a petite, gym enthusiast, and she said she had never seen portion sizes so small, especially when it comes to the cost. My $30 piece of grouper was absolutely tiny. My $9 bowl of mashed potatoes was about 3-4 tablespoons worth. I have never, in my 40+ years of life, been to a restaurant where portion sizes were so small, and that's including my world travels. France served bigger portions, and they're known for their petite portions. If we go there again, which we might actually do, then I will be ordering two $30 pieces of grouper, and I will know ahead of time that I need to actually do so. One more thing. They don't have a liquor license and they're so-called "PG" margarita was absolutely one of the worst tasting drinks I've ever had. It tasted like a flavored water drink, and didn't even resemble a margarita, but that of a drink that sat around long enough for the ice to melt. I normally love wine-based margaritas, but I could not finish my drink and pawned it off on my wife so I could order a beer. If you want to know what a good wine based margarita tastes like, go to Taco City, perhaps the owners of Pompano Grill could learn something about how to make a good wine based margarita from them...
It's not really worth going to, food is hot and prepared to order. Ok, cheap place to stop if everything else around is full but would recommend Slow and low restaurant or Heidi's across the street for better food and ambiance. (P.s not a surfer friendly place at all) I ordered the Millionaire's bacon, slaters taters and deep fried brie as appetizers and the Phish burger as an entrée. 1.) Millionaire's bacon was very basic, hardly any flavor at all and the only flavor that comes through the bacon is an over powering taste of nitrates wether from celery powder or sodium it's not quality at all and very bland. 2.) The slaters taters are just basic garlic parm truffle French fries, they're just OK if you're craving truffle French fries. 3.) The deep fried brie with berry compote was ok, the roasted walnuts were the highlight of it. Compote was very basic and again dull just taste like basic white sugar mixed with synthetic salt fertilized berries. 4.) Phish burger was filling and meaty, good patty after a hard day's work or nothing special but hardy. The bun they served it on was a plain basic white bun. Definitely wouldn't bother going again.
Update: I had rated this restaurant 5 stars before. We went yesterday to celebrate my wife's birthday and we were all very disappointed. To begin, the menu had significantly changed. 3 of my favorite items were not in the menu anymore (Fish burger and carbonara pasta and the Slater's Taters). The Caesar salad tasted different. My wife and I shared a special called Pompano over risotto (bland taste overall), and my daughter and son shared the filet mignon (sweet sauce). They added a sharing fee of $20. Well, as I wrote before, very disappointed. We spent over close to $300 (including the tip). The only good things that I can say about Pompano Grill after our experience would be the waiter, who was very friendly with my grandson and provided good service overall, cleanliness and the Millionaire Bacon. It's hard to see that changes made a place that sadly we won't visit again. Excellent! Service and food were great. My wife and I tried it this past December 31, and really enjoyed everything about it. It's a small restaurant with intimate ambiance. We ordered the smoked fish dip, a Caesar Salad and a seasonal salad to begin. Then we had 2 fish burgers, with a side order of the carbonara pasta. Then my daughter invited us a for my birthday and tried the escargot, and we ordered again the Caesar Salad and fish burgers because we liked them so much the first time. My 1 year old grandson had a few of the Slater's Taters and he had a blast! So, overall, an excellent experience. We highly recommend it.
My husband ordered the tomahawk steak which was listed at market value. We never dreamed market value was $125+. I ordered the filet and never got to eat it. I ordered it medium and it was brought well-done. They took it back and it was brought back medium rare and was never given time to rest. They did at least remove the filet from our bill. Overall the experience was less than satisfactory for what we ended up paying. We were also seated directly in front of the door which meant we were constantly hot with heat and humidity each time a party came in as there was no waiting area. The hostess stand was an ipad on an end table next to one of the tables.
