Opinions de Cattle Drive Cafe Coleman
Very friendly atmoshpere, the food was very good I ordered the blackened shrimp over rice & mashed potatoes. For dessert I had pecan cobler. Very delicious.
Started with the nachos. Came out quick, meat was well seasoned, wouldn't win any awards but we were hungry and it went down well. I had the pork chop. The portion was a little smaller than I thought it would be and it was thinner than I expected but one of the most tender chops I have ever had. Not mushy but butter soft and super flavorful. Crispy fried okra and amazing zucchini. They were from a smaller zucchini with thin slices that had been quartered. So they cooked quickly and some pieces were almost caramelized and others almost slightly crisp which made for a fantastic texture. I don't know what they were seasoned with but it was almost like a chili crisp? I ate the whole plate, it was amazing. My wife had the chicken sandwich and fries. Fries were well seasoned, a little limp. The chicken was a little underseasoned for my taste, but the sandwich had a dressing, good bacon and a beautiful slice of tomato. Fantastic stop. Waiter got slammed as a birthday party of 18 or so came in along with 3 other tables, so gave him a lot of grace, just took a bit to get our check and didn't get to try a dessert. Would absolutely stop again.
We had such a delicious meal yesterday and our waitress Payton was just the best. I had the ribeye which was one of the best I've had, and my husband had the shrimp and he said it was perfectly cooked and delicious. We live an hour away but will definitely be back!!
We got there at the right time around 6. Then by the time we left they were on a wait. Service was excellent food was good. I'm in the industry and I would highly recommend Cattle Drive. Everyone the service and customers were very nice. Trust me I'm critical about restaurants, I would recommend you to have dinner there. Signs were great 😃.
Wow mu wife found this place when we were driving home from Lubbock today! Ph my goodness food was amazing and hot and fresh. My wife and I shared the fish combo blackened and we had left overs. Hatvoff to the cooks foe making the food prefectly. The waiter we had was on point. Friendly and joked around. The restaurant itself very cool. We looked in the bar area and looked like a fun place to hang out. If you are driving through and want so awesome food and good time stop in you will not perfectly. The owner of this restaurant has a great place congratulations!
My husband and I went to for a drive and decided to stop and eat here. The service was very good, not too noisy. Our waitress was prompt and courteous, our food order was taken quickly. Our drinks were delivered in a timely manner. The food was delicious, my husband got the Chicken Fried Steak it was very tender. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken, it was also delicious and juicy. It was a lot of food as portions were big. We will definitely be driving to Coleman again.
We are tourists from Germany, and when asking for recommendations at a gas station, we were told to visit the Cattle Drive Cafe & Bull Bar. We were driving from Houston, Texas, to Colorado Springs, and this stop turned out to be the culinary highlight of our trip! The atmosphere was fantastic, the people were incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Hard to believe in a town that at first glance seemed a bit quiet, but the restaurant was bustling with guests. My wife, our child, and I were all thoroughly satisfied - we haven’t experienced anything quite like it anywhere else. We will definitely make a stop here again on our next trip. As a German, my child did miss having the typical apple juice mixed with sparkling water (like we often have back home), but we came here for an authentic American dining experience - and that’s exactly what we got!
Kylee welcomed us like we were regular customers and served us like we were favorite uncles. My $11.95 pork schnitzel special was huge, came with two sides, and an offer of help getting back to the car if I finished it. This excellent cafe offers a clean space, cowboy atmosphere, excellent home-style cooking and great service. I will make plans to return.
This place was awesome! Our waitress Josie B. was so sweet and helpful. It was our first time here and can't wait to come back! We had the chips and salsa and the onion rings for appetizers. Those onions rings are a must try! Delicious! I had the "Cow Patty" (loaded baked potatoe w/sirloin tips), and my husband had the chicken fried chicken. Both were very delicious! The sirloin tips were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great and loved the rustic decor throughout the restaurant/bar.
My first job as a 14 year old, way back in 1972 was peel, slice onions and bread onion rings for a local burger joint. The onion rings served me yesterday brought back those memories. They were so good. The CFS, I have to say was the best I've ever had. My bride of 43 years and I selected this place on a whim and drove from Arlington Texas to check this place out. It was well worth the drive and we hope to return again. The server, Alisha was a sweetheart! And as a side note: the ice tea will great, filled with ice!
Always a plus when a resturant accommodates an allergy. Cattle Drive Cafe is Latex friendly. The staff was super friendly, food was hot, and portions were filling. They even had live music on the Friday night we visited. The atmosphere was family friendly. We were seated and served in no time. We ordered the steak sandwich and it was so yummy. We look forward to going again when in the area.
My boyfriend really enjoys the Cattle Dive Cafe. His favorite meal is the steak fingers. The steak is always tender, the fries are really good, and the gravy is wonderful! I really enjoy their hamburgers. The burgers are delicious! The past two times that we've been there, our waitress has been Andrea. Andrea is always a great waitress. She gets our drink order quickly, checks on us often while we're dining, and is always nice. She's great! The past several times we've dropped by, the hostess has wanted to seat us in the front section. We enjoy sitting in the area on the other side. We like looking outside, and it's not as cold in there. Often, the hostess seems to be irritated if we ask for that area. When we ask to be seated there, the tables are not full. There is available seating.
2nd time i have been here. been a couple years ago. i got fish tacos and cowboy corn. cowboy corn was totally delicious! fish tacos were very good but it would have been nice if they had some kind of green salsa or similar with it( obviously just a personal preference). waiter was very nice but after he brought my food he never checked back to see if everything was ok or if i needed something else ( he passed my table at least 10 times). overall enjoyable meal.
Sat in the bar in that little area off of the main bar. Someone was having a birthday party but not overly busy. You could tell it was a favorite hangout because everyone seemed to know everyone else. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium rare but it was pretty much well done. You could tell they pretty much squeezed every last bit of juice out of it by hitting it too hard with the spatula. Maybe they put a lid on it because it tasted like it had been steamed not grilled on a flat top. It was a really generous portion for a burger. I I think they said 12 oz on the menu. Onion rings were at the absolute bomb though some of the best I ever had. Friendly service but our server never made it back around to refill our drinks and I ended up wrapping up the rest of my burger in a napkin to take home.
This place is really cute. My husband and I went for my 60th birthday and I was hoping for a great experience based on the reviews. Our experience wasn't that great. We both planned to have steak so we went with the 32oz for 2 deal. We expected to be sharing one very large steak. Instead we got 8 small pieces of steak. I have never had anyone hand me scraps of steak before. Never. I don't know if that's what they always do at this restaurant, but the server dropped it off and quickly took off. He didn't come back for quite awhile. We had asked for medium rare. The pieces were of varying thickness and some were medium to medium well and dry. A couple of pieces just barely fit medium rare. Our sides, onion rings and fries, were lukewarm and not great. All in all not a good experience and I wouldn't bother going back there.
We ordered a kc for 1 med when opened my order it was dry couldn't eat it. Don't know if they had it left over from last night. Is that how yall treat yall customers. Even though you eat out. They need to be treated the same as you eat in. Know days you can't buy a very good kc for 1 . At a restaurant. NOT SATISFIED. U practically got to go out of town to get a very good juicy steak. 👎👎
