Good portions, nicely seasoned, and yeehaw atmosphere all make this place a great family dinner or lunch outing. Would recommend not filling up on the apps, because they fill you quick. Would visit again.
Once been here since time or two for the bar. And maybe an entree a time or two. Today was the best chicken fried steak I've had in a long time. The other plates on my table were equally impressive, made me sorry of wish we had just so decided to share. I will certainly be back here.
We went for their brunch & it was great. They had a wonderful bloody Mary bar & champagne bucket. The food was good & the service was excellent. Their menu has plenty to choose from!
A GREAT SUNDAY MORNING BREAKFAST PLACE. They serve a "wonderfu"l Sunday morning brunch here that we enjoy on the "deck area". Enjoyable outside most of the year. The food is always great and that is why we keep going back! Give this a try, especially on Sunday morning!!
Food was great and service was awesome. I had the shrimp tacos and they were a tasty choice. The sides of Spanish rice and beans were very delicious and way above what you normally get.
I went there for brunch today... I was hosting a gathering for brunch for a Veterans organization and expected 10 people. The hostess sat me and set the table even though I didnt even have half the people present at the time. The food, the Bloody Mary bar and the service was great. Why this place is getting 5 stars... 10 more people showed up to the event that I was not expecting... the waitress and staff quickly set us up a table for 20 on the patio without a complaint. Because they quickly accommodated our large group without hesitation or complaint, we will be returning. Thanks Ozona!
Always great service and the food is quite good. They've got a fairly diverse menu, which works out great for those times when everyone's in the mood for something different. We love their outside dining area, too!
1st time in College Station for golf, the course was in 4 out of 10 condition, they lost their greens and are trying to sod em back into puttable shape. Lots of work yet to be done, kinda disappointed in the staff(online & on course) for not mentioning the greens horrible condition, if they would have prepared me for the greens before I reached #1 and was Astonished and the lack of grass, mostly sand and really slow where there was grass it would have made a difference on me wanting to give it another go. But the fact they didn't mention it at all and allow ME to make an informed decision before I spent my money, it seems that the "All mighty dollar" is more important than retaining a customer, and now I will share my experience not only here bit with all my golfing buddies. So was it really worth 1 greens fee today to loose out on potentially many other green fee's in the future. Sad, bit seems the way of the business world these days. Really liked the layout, but definitely won't be back. Sorry, but just my 2 cents.
Great food, with plenty of variety. Perfect ambience on the patio as long as it’s not too hot. They often have live music out there as well. Kinda pricey, but food is worth it. Good happy hour deals, especially the margaritas on Monday’s.
Our waitress was amazing! She was the only waitress there, but she did an amazing job of handling our large party and all of her other tables. The food was all very good!
Such a great place with a good location. Atmosphere is very inviting. Live music Tuesday and Thursday on the patio. Food is always good. Staff is always friendly. Lots of beer options and full bar.
Stopped for a quick bite as a recommendation by Rio Brazos distillery. Their cowboy style chicken fried steak was oustanding. Probably one of the tastiest chicken fried steaks I have had. Their green bean side and spinach side were better than most steak restaurants I have been to. My wife ordered a "Mas Mejor" fried chicken sandwich. It was soooo good. Their fries were ok amd the onion rings were average, but better than most places. I would definetly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the College Station area....
Awesome awesome meal. Customer service was top notch considering that my group was with a bunch of over 30 kids. Margaritas was great too. Will stop by again when in the neighborhood.
Family friendly place, with devine food and a bloody mary bar for brunch that is pretty fantastic paired with their patio! The manager Jamie really goes above and beyond to make sure the customer's need's are met. The company is lucky to have such caring & dedicated employees. Very happy with my family's experience :)
Good place with excellent outdoor seating. The waiter William was amazing and we had a great time talking with him. Food was amazing and well priced for the portions. Will come back again some time soon.
Just left Ozona and couldn't have been happier with the quality of the food and especially the service we received. Kenzie was our waitress and did an excellent job of keeping drinks filled and attending to our table in the friendliest way possible. We will be coming back soon. Very neat patio setting too with live music regularly.
Been coming here for years and is a favorite of ours. The food is always good and the atmosphere is always very laid back and low key. Perfect place to go if you're just looking for a place to relax and enjoy your dinner. But, if you're looking for a place to watch the game, they have a large outdoor coverd patio to watch the game and enjoy the bar with your friends.
Manager Tyri and her team provided excellent service for my son's wedding rehearsal. The outdoor patio venue with the hanging string of lights and the rock fireplace provided a beautiful and relaxing evening atmosphere. They worked with me in advance to get the food choices I wanted available and how to set the tables. The food and service was outstanding. Thank you for making it such a special and memorable night for the wedding party.
Absolutely AMAZING!! The salas was so amazing we got an extra order to take home. The environment was clean, the bathrooms were nice and clean, the staff was polite and friendly. The country fried steak and mashed potatoes were outstanding. Definitely would recommend to friends and family.
I love their patio. I go after work sometimes on Monday nights and it is chill and quiet majority of the time. I have been going on Wednesdays for Working Women's Wednesday and Angela is the best. We get great and prompt service. Always ask for her when you go in.
We had a fabulous lunch there on Saturday. Patrick was an excellent server he had knowledge and gave suggestions. The food was excellent and although we didn't partake they had a build your own Bloody Mary bar that had a huge variety of options.
First time here and we loved it. Our Waitress was Erika and she was excellent. She was very pleasant and made sure we were taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place and hopefully you get lucky and have Erika as your server! Food was phenomenal. We will definitely be back here!
AMAZING, honestly the best service i’ve had and the best food!! Definitely worth coming more than once. The servers are friendly as well as the bartenders. The salads are out of this world, and the appetizer options are glorious. Go to Ozona, it is very family friendly, and the service is pristine. Also they have a gluten free menu, and great deals throughout the week. AND BRUNCH IS EVEN BETTER!!
Atmosphere was casual, but a little loud for my taste. The food was very good quality and everything we had was delicious. Get the jalapeño fries, they were amazing. Lunch specials weren't a bad price but it does get pricey for dinner entrées and platters. This is higher quality food than a lot of chain restaurants and the food was worth price. I had steak fingers and they're actual cube steak that's freshly breaded when you order it, not processed tasting at all.
The BEST fried okra I've EVER had. Highly recommend. Otherwise, the food was average. The portion sizes were large, though. Would definitely go back again.
Good service, great burgers with Nolan Ryan beef. Prices are climbing during this covid-19 time and the restaurant wasn't very full. Many businesses are struggling and could use our visits.
Decent choice of draft beer, jalapeno buns for the burgers are legit. Place is clean, staff is friendly. Unclear what vibe the place is going for, kinda bland on the personality side of things, but hey the foods decent and the beer is cold.
Only vegan options require ordering salad minus cheese, but Lexie handled very large group with aplomb. She totally has the personality to be a bartender.
Usually visit Ozona for their drink selection which is good. Their food has never really impressed me, but I don't mind eating there on occasion. Their margaritas on special and their beer selection are good reasons to go. They also have the best patio in town.
Real good place for dinner and a few drinks. Good atmosphere and above average food. Good alternative to the busy restaurants along University Dr. I've never had to wait for a table. And they are open pretty late. Burgers are really good; especially with the jalapeño sourdough bun. Queso Catfish is amazing. I've heard the chicken fried steak is good too.
Try the catfish - very tasty and huge portions. Only complaint is volume of tv. We sat outside on patio and the only thing louder than the tv was the drunk guy hitting on a younger lady. Made it difficult to hear but I am old too. It wasn’t crowded which may have impacted the volume level - not enough other voices to drown it out. Don’t let this stop you from going.
Good place to meet up after work if the weather is nice. Good patio! Good chips & salsa! Food is hit or miss. I usually go for the company & socialization. Oh, and the drinks! Not the best place to catch a game if you're sitting on the patio. There are a few televisions around the bar outside, but they're hard to see if you're not sitting close to that area. Like the electric jukebox outside tho! Like the big firepit & fireplace too!
Lacking in variety in beer. Food was reasonable bar food. Salsa was mild. Chicken Fried Steak was reasonable. Music varied between country and bad rap and a ltitle too loud. But service was very good. Young lady was attentive and concientious. I would go back.
We were greeted immediately when we walked in and were asked our seating preference. The waitress wasted no time coming over to introduce herslef and take our orders. The menu looked amazing and the queso was fantastic! I ordered the grill chicken sandwich but they sent out a fried chicken sandwich instead. The waitress had no problem with taking it back to have it corrected and it took a little while, which is the reason for my rating. Other than that everything else was fine. The atmosphere was very chill and open. Music and sports playing but not too loud as to drown out conversation.
We've been here several times in the past couple years. It's become part of our regular rotation of local places. It has reasonably priced food and drinks with some great happy hour specials. There's a large outdoor seating area, which is great when the weather cooperates.
The food has been pretty average for me and a little on the expensive side. Workers are friendly enough. But the reason I gave 4 stars is because they have $2 margaritas on Monday nights and I go here every Monday to get them and $1.95 queso. Love to go and get very cheap but very good margaritas with friends and hangout!
Monday night 4-7pm happy hour is $3 regular size and $6 large margaritas. Used to be $2 and $4, but you still get really good free chips and salsa. Bartenders always seem to be friendly. Haven’t gotten good other than chips and queso, but it was good and cheap hurry happy hour.
I ordered the pork chops. They were more on the drier side than I normally prefer; but still edible. The service was pretty good. I arrived earlier than I needed to be to meet with my group where we ended up staying later than we should have. While I do forsee a return visit; I don't think I'll order the pork chops.
1st time customer, and found this place by looking up Eggs Benedict on google maps. We went during brunch, and I ordered the Build your Taco, and my friend had the Eggs Benedict. We were brought out a cup of fruit, before our meal, which included watermelon, cantaloupe and grapes. The Eggs Benedict were presented, just like the photo we found online, and tasted great too. The Tacos were made with Bacon, Sausage & Cheese (my 3 choices per menu), and they also tasted great. For a place we found online, we really enjoyed the Brunch!!! I would come back on a future visit, and try something else on their menu. 4 of 5 stars only because I've only been here once, and had 1 item from the menu. I will consider changing my review rating on a future visit or experience.
I had the pork chop lunch special, with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. The green beans were a little underdone for my taste, but the mashed potatoes were tasty and the porkchop was well seasoned & well cooked. I would order it again. We also had a 1/2 order of onion rings as an appetiser. They were nice and crunchy & a 1/2 order was about 10 rings. The waitress was both attentive and friendly.
I was pleasantly surprised. Service is a little slow but I wasn't in a hurry. The spinach salad was ok. It is garnished with fried jalapenos which I expected to be warm. They were cold. The boiled egg and pecans took away the disappointment. Plus, I didn't Ask if they would be warm. The steak sandwich was stellar! The mushrooms were an excellent addition. Definitely try it.
Pretty excellent place tucked away on Harvey road. It is at the end of the green belt which lends itself to a great outdoor patio with greenery around it. Service varies but is always quite good. The fried mushrooms and onion rings are ridiculously good. The mushrooms boast a fabulous crispness and a batter that sticks to the mushrooms for each bite and the same with the onion rings. Salads are pretty well composed and generous. Absolutely worth many visits!
Stopped by out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised at the menu choices. The atmosphere at this place is laid back with plenty if room to host bigger get togethers if desired. Looking forward to the patio dining when weather permits. Large fireplace in rear of patio is nice and even larger firepit setup outside has the potential for great times and social gatherings.
The food was good.First time eating there, I must say that the drinks were good as well. The only problem was the waitress was not attentive and they sit us at a dirty table with blonde hair all over it. Other than that it was ok.
Ok place, bloody Mary bar was good enough but the bacon was raw. The Benedict was good but the deep-fried "rosemary potatoes" were a distraction. Wait-staff was there when you didn't need them to interrupt important conversations, and not there when you needed the check... Ok, but really? Cholula sauce broght to our table had a broken glass neck, so I put it out of service at the bar and notified a waiter so another customer didn't get glass with their condiment. Again, an ok place, but not what it once was awhile back. The Bloody Mary bar took the edge off this review.
The food is good, as always, but the prices have gone up over time, considerably. Drinks are now $3.25, a grilled chicken salad is $16 and a mas mejor (grilled chicken sandwich) is $14. Queso is $7. Add it all up, plus tip, and lunch for two is $55. I like the food and certainly the patio but that's just to much money.
Let me start off by saying that the amount of food they give you is reasonable however the food lacked flavor especially the sirloin. Also, the waitress did not provide refills, and even forgot certain things we asked for. Won’t be spending my hard earned money here again.
Service was good; friendly waiter. Love the outside patio. Food wasn't horrible, just not worth another visit. My friend and my kid both had the same dish, and both were feeling sick shortly after leaving the restaurant.
Great patio and scenery. It's right off of a busy road (Harvey) but the patio is secluded and overlooks a peaceful creek. They have a large bar that can serve inside and outside guests at the same time. They have several TV's throughout the building so it makes it a decent place to watch the game. The menu is traditional American and Tex-Mex. The food is good and not terribly expensive. The only thing that could use some work is the service. Every time time I've been there, the wait staff has not been very attentive and they have either forgotten something we've ordered or accidentally charged us for something we didn't. It's still worth going but I would plan on not being too impressed with the service.
Steak was dry and tuff sides were cold and garlic mashed potatoes were nothing but instant baby reds and very runny. When a waiter ignores your plate and want acknowledge the fact you haven't eaten . You know there's no use in sending it back. We are new to area ate there one of our first nights in town. It was awesome. Tried it again last Sunday, it will be a while b4 going back.
This place is pretty hit or miss for me. I love the chips and queso and always enjoy the brunch. However, the dinners I have had here are usually a miss. Service is spotty....some of the servers are okay but we've had our share of duds.
Chicken Fried Steak is really really good here along with the steak fingers and the salad. Dinner prices are really high though. $19 for the CFS and CFC, but it's a good size portion. Service, however, was awful on an early Saturday evening with not many people there. Server forgot to turn in the kids orders, brought bbq sauce instead of gravy for the steak fingers, and abandoned us when we were ready to pay.
Cannot recommend based on first purchase. Ordered take out. Ordered & charged for Bacon on the fries but they didn't give me any. The bigger issue is that out of three orders of fries for three separate cheeseburgers, not only where the portions inconsistent between containers, but the fries were nasty and a waste of money. Mostly inedible fragments scraped from the bottom of the fryer or left over from the lunch rush. Might be better in-house but not thrilled with this first impression. Edit: The burgers are the only reason I'm willing to give this place another go in the future. They were really good.
Food is pretty good here. The Mexican plates and burgers are tasty and reasonable position for the price. The service can be really hit or miss. The past few times I have sat on the outdoor patio & bar the service has been very bad. The music out on the patio was also far too loud. I visited with my parents and we has to practically yell over the music.
I've eaten at Ozona only twice. The first time my daughter and I dined in, because it was a bit cool on that evening. On June 21st my husband and I visited the restaurant again, attending a birthday dinner. The atmosphere on the patio was GREAT, and the service was wonderful, the food I'll give it an ok, but I will go back. I only had one problem with sitting on the patio, I could smell the trash from around the corner. We sat on the far end close to the gate that said, no drinks beyond this point.
The food looked delicious but was very different when eating it. Most fries were still soggy with oil, the rice was nasty and the sandwich could had been better. The onion rings and grilled shrimp were good though. We did notice the great service from the host who sat us down. When no waiters attended to us he decided to help us with a smile and great attitude and we were grateful for him.
It was (hopefully) a bad night for them. Beer taps were down and bottled selection is, well, lacking -- no local or other microbrews. The Caesar Chicken wrap was, well, also lacking. Basically just tossed on a tortilla with two side flopped over -- not much "wrapping" involved. The contents fell out with the first bite (no wrapping of the ends). Taste was average. But fries were awful -- cold and rubbery. I didn't eat them.
There's nothing special about the food here. I've had a number of items on their menu and have never been impressed with the quality of their food. I would say that it's on par with the quality of food that you get at Chili's or Applebee's. Unless I'm with a group of friends who insist on going there, I'll elect to go elsewhere.
Disappointed in service. We went in with a five year old. No child's menu was provided. After being seated drink order wasn't taken in a timely manner. Had to ask for both adult and child's menu. Food took longer then usual to get. We made it clear a dish would be shared. Had to ask for a second plate. Had to ask for drink refills. Food was tasty.
We keep giving this place a chance and it keeps letting us down. The patio is probably the nicest in town but that’s where is ends. Dark, dank and dated inside. Uninspired beer selection. Mediocre food (other than the chicken fried steak which has skyrocketed in price). Today’s letdown was brunch. Avacado toast was just limp bread that may have been grilled long enough to pick up a metallic flavor. Bland guacamole with plenty of brown, no visual appeal in any way. The biscuits and sausage gravy tasted like horse meat in instant gravy ( the biscuits by themselves were ok). All at premium prices. People who think this is good food, I hate to think what they consider bad food. In the right hands this could be one of the hottest places in town. Maybe it’s time for ownership and management to hang it up. When you care this little about how your food looks and tastes youve simply given up.
We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday when we drove to CS to take our Aggie son out for lunch. First the compliment, our waitress was great. I feel her effort deserves not rating this place 1 star. But our first impression by the hostess was awful. We dine out alot, as business travelers and with friends and family locally and across the country at all types of establishments, and have never come across a hostess this rude. That's saying alot. So the brunette hostess wearing a ponytail, blue jeans, and tshirt who didn't utter a single word at 1:45pm on 2/11/17 should not be employed any longer. I'm surprised the owner of the establishment hasn't observed how terribly she treats customers, but then she's probably on her best behavior if he/she is around. If we hadn't been there to enjoy time with our son, I would've complained in person yesterday but didn't want to ruin the limited time we spent with him. Thankfully CS if filled with so many other friendly dining establishments for us to enjoy!
This place used to be a favorite place for my friends and family to hang out when I used to live here but sadly it has gone downhill with the service. I get that we visited on a busy time but it was poorly organized and our waitress was the absolute rudest. She snapped at my brother to see an ID when he ordered a coke which I can understand the misunderstanding but the response was unacceptable. We had no silverware and I had to go to the bar to get a straw when I asked for a spoon to stir our coffee. When she came back with the silverware, she literally threw it at our table. My favorite part of our visit was when I was leaving the restroom, our waitress pushed the door in my face and looked at me like I was the problem. She definitely had no problem acting pleasant with her bff at the bar next to us so I knew she was being bitter on purpose. I understand how much hard work waitressing is but there is no excuse for making customers your punching bag. Despite our rude experience, the food was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere. But this location is not what it used to be with customer service and I hope it improves so no one else experiences what we did.
Went to brunch with group of young ladies on daughter's 23rd Birthday. Atmosphere was great! Waitstaff excellent, especially our waiter, a young Hispanic man. He was fairly new, but excellent in customer service. Menu choices were very limited and a little overpriced. Steak fries were overcooked. Most items were for adventurous pallets - not mine. I chose the only thing I could recognize; chicken fried steak. Unfortunately, I was disappointed because it appeared to have been fried in cornmeal, not flour (my table agreed with my observation). The chef came out to assure me it was a flour mixture, but I disagreed. Returned meal. Chose avocado toast. It was just OK. This a nice restaurant, but for me, the food is not my style. I believe it's target group are starving millennials or those who haven't had the opportunity for a nice home cooked meal.
The food is always good. You just have to wait forever for it to arrive. Even when the restaurant isn't busy it's still a painfully slow process. The servers never act like they want to be there. I have never had more than 1 star service. You can rely on 2 things with this place; 1) the food will be pretty good. 2) it's going to take forever to get it.
This place has gone so down hill. This used to be our date night spot but not anymore. I ordered the club sandwich last night and they burnt the bacon. We were Never asked if we needed anything else or refilled our drinks. Our server never asked us how the food was or anything. I saw her on her phone just outside the kitchen for at least 10 minutes solid. The bartender was often on her phone too. And when we left our server was sitting in the entry way on her phone! No customer service here at all. We won't be back for a while. So disappointing.
Me and a friend went in for lunch we had the worst waitress, we sat in the bar area witch was not busy it took her 10 minutes to get our drink orders, and then forgot to ask if we wanted any appetizers. Then she spent most of her time talking at another table of people apparently that were her friends or people she knew. Finally came and asked for our order and had to come back a second time because she didn’t write it down and forgot it. Never came and checked on us asked if we needed refills on our drinks or anything. Won’t be going back worst customer service ever.
Dined there today 9/5/21, everyone in my party of four was satisfied with their breakfast choice but myself. I ordered a blt with mustard, cut the Mayo, and out came a huge sandwich with ONE slice of bacon on it(cut in half), I’m sure to make it hang out on both sides of the over size bread slices, with a large dollop of MAYONNAISE!!!!!! Was NOT happy, or impressed with this restaurant.
This is the second time in a row that we have been here an ordered chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. Both times the food was room temperature, not even a little bit warm! Won't be going back!!!
Poor service, poor food, dim lighting, overpriced. Save your money. If anyone thinks their food is good, they don't know what good food is. Potatoes were fake, frozen green beans so tough my dog would not eat them, and the chicken fried steak was your frozen box kind. They're cooking out of cans and boxes at this place. Thumbs down ...
I was very dissapointed. I work as a First Responder, and there are very few places that are available after my shift. My fiancee is a nurse and we came out with my family to celebrate her birthday. The young petite Hispanic female waiter was SIGNIFICANTLY more interested in hanging out with her friends and getting alchohol outside then even getting our orders. We never got asked about drinks, we saw the young lady 3 times in an hour and half meal. 1 for order, 1 for 1! Water refill, and for her to return our card (She didn't even pick up the receipt). I hope she made money from the tips outside, because we spent almost 160+ dollars for 6 people. We didn't expect excellent service at 9pm, we expected just... service. I will be telling my other first responder to find somewhere else after shift, and to definetly not come on Thursdays because hanging out with college friends and getting them drunk are more important than an officer, a nurse, and a doctor after work just getting something to eat.
My wife and I went in at 10pm and it was pretty dead, had 4 or 5 waitresses look at our table but nobody bothered to come take a drink order or even say hello in the 15 minutes we were there. There was only 3 other tables with people. Service sucks and I would give 0 stars if I could!
Thumbs down. The hostess called 3 other families ahead of mine and it wasn't until I let her know I've been waiting so long that she finally seated me. Our waiter was awesome. The food how ever was horrible. My fries looked like they had been left sitting out all day then served. Mc Donald's could out do the fries y'all handed out to me. My soup and chicken fried steak were extremely cold. I didn't ask for anything difficult I could only imagine what ordering a steak would have looked like.
They were good- ate here all the time for years. Now they doubled the price of their good (standard pub stuff) and didn’t change a single thing... they also didn’t tell the community any way.. I found out my $8 sandwich was $20 after ordering it to go and getting there. The menu wasn’t even updated for prices.
Worst introductory experience to a restaurant I've ever had. We sat for 15 minutes at our table without being greeted or having our drink order taken. Finally after 15 minutes a a server asked if we had been helped to which we said no. He then said someone would be with us shortly, no one ever came. I have never walked out of a restaurant before but I think 20 minutes to never even be asked for a drink order is absurd. Wish we could have at least tried the food.
Totally dislike posting negative reviews... but sadly it had to be done. If I could give zero stars I would. We stopped at this place on our way back to Houston, it's a little after lunch rush when we get arrive the restaurant. It's partially empty, made eye contact with an employee, and we still aren't greeted; after 5 minutes of just standing there we are finally seated. Our drink orders are taken, and it's another ten minutes before our waitress comes to our table, doesn't introduce herself, just asks us what our order is. 5 to 10 minutes after that 1 salad arrives and the rest of us are sitting there waiting for our meals... when our food finally arrived 20 minutes later, it is bland, underwhelming , I had to season a peppered steak!!! Definetly not returning to this place, not once while we waited did we have our server come check in with us, and the food is not worth the cost.
The staff needs to get it together. Management needs to oversee staff. No staff to seat people. let us know. Do not allow the front door host to walk away and do odd jobs without coming back to check on people waiting for a table. We were there 30 min, other people before us, 40 min. PLENTY tables in and out, someone needs to be honest to customers. Too many other restaurants in area to wait at yours. Then a waitress kept coming up with crazy mean attitude to people. We left. Get your act together or close on weekends. Sunday brunch, you know is busy....schedule accordingly or give hiring incentives for people to work weekends.
Me and my family went Friday night. The wait for drinks and appetizers was entirely too long. The place wasn't even busy. Then the whole time I was eating the ac kept dripping on me it even dripped into my mom's food. 0/10 do not recommend. The food is not worth the price! Plus the drinks you couldn't even taste the alcohol...
Gave the vibe of being understaffed even though there were plenty of employees around. Sat at our table for a good 15 minutes without ever even being asked for a drink order while about 5-6 employees stood around talking and laughing behind the outdoor bar. The people who were already outside when we got there didn’t have any food or drinks in front of them either, heard them mention how the service had gone downhill- watched one table have to get up and go to the indoor bar to get drinks. Eventually walked out because we were ignored so hard we almost felt bullied.
Had dinner tonight & was very dissatisfied for the price I paid. Group of 10 for dinner & waitress was okay but took forever to take our order. Sweet tea was very bitter & old. I had the chicken fried steak with okra & both were cold & very greasy as if they had been sitting out. Didnt bother sending order back as the waitress took forever to check back with our table. Ordered shots at the end of our meal, as it was my bf birthday & shots took literally 25 mins to get back to the table. I was beyond ready to go but still had to wait for waitress to charge my card & bring it back to me. My dinner consisted of mostly waiting.
The food was horrible. The worst pancakes, bacon, and potatoes ever. We ordered Mexican vanilla and blueberry pancakes, but we received plain and burnt pancakes, no flavor at all, not even a single blueberry or even a blueberry syrup! Also, the bacon was burnt and tasted like carbon. I usually hesitate to use the work 'horrible' for the food but this time I couldn't. The entire experience was waste of time and money.
We, a party of 3, came in for lunch today, March 13, at 11:40. The indifferent hostesses seated us in a booth. We waited for 10 minutes and no one came to our table. I flagged down a waiter to ask if we could have service. He asked how long we had been waiting, and apologized. He went to the same indifferent hostesses and they looked at us while one of the hostesses tapped her face looking like she was thinking. We waited 5 more minutes and got up to leave. As we walked past the indifferent hostesses, they said said "Have a nice day." I said it would have been nice to have some service. One hostess just looked down, the other just stared at me. I said "Well, do you want to tell me why it takes 10 minutes for no one to come to our table?" One kept looking down and said "We told them." The other one continued to stare. I said it was ridiculous and we left. I have never been treated so rudely by an employee in an establishment. I will never recommend this place. I don't know who trained these people but what an astounding lack of even caring. They never even apologized.
Wondering how this place is still in business. Came first time for office lunch and will never be back. Starting with dirty and sticky menus, the food was simply tasteless. Nobody from our group of 6 people finished and actually enjoyed the food, the waitress brought our drinks and forgot about us for an HOUR, didn’t even check on us. The restaurant wasn’t even busy at lunch time, maybe 5-6 tables. My soup was luke warm with saggy chips in it, the salad was bland. Will never be back, do not recommend.
The food is good and pretty consistent. With that being said, the service is absolutely horrible. Every. Single. Time. The hostesses are rarely friendly and barely acknowledge anyone who is not a college student. They are always slow to seat people. The wait staff tries but seemingly gets little support from management. It always takes forever to get food. Today it took almost an hour to get pancakes, French toast and breakfast tacos. Service at the bar is good though. Drinks and food come quickly.
