I hadn't been to Sizzler in over 20 years. They did not disappoint me . I had pasta and a tiny bit of steak. This was the left overs.

My all-time favorite location for a salad bar! Such great, fresh ingredients ask the time. They keep things pretty clean, and refill the Ranch as soon as it gets low. Always friendly service. You can't beat the salad bar options; muliple soups, Taco bar w beans and rice, salad with multiple greens options, lots of side dishes like potato and macaroni salad, soft serve, chicken wings, pasta, cheese toast. What more could you ask for?

Best servers in the world at this sizzler.. it's the only sizzler we have for miles.. but the waiters and servers here are all amazing.. making sure you always have everything you need. Douglas always provides the top most quality customer service when we sit around his area. He has been serving my wonderful family for so many years. He by far is the best server there. Always checking on us. Asking how the food is.. asking if we need more plates or napkins. He always makes the place feel so joyful accommodating our every needs. I'm not writing this to kiss anyone's ass. I just want to thank Douglas one of your awesome employees.. please make sure that Douglas gets some type or recognition for this, a raise, a few days off with pay . Something I don't know. He truly is for the people. Not only does he treat my family and I like this. He does it with every customer, every group making sure they have absotluey everything they need to enjoy and awesome sizzler meal. Love you sizzlers. Please don't leave

Our food server was great. He was very attentive and did everything with a smile. I've been there several times, and have always have had good experiences there. The only thing that is funky is that the back if the restaurant faces the street, so it looks like the restaurant has shut down. The front of the restaurant faces the center if the parking lot. Very easy parking.

The place was clean and we were seated right away. Our Hostess was attentively our area. The restaurant wasn't very crowded and we were seated right away. The food came withon 7 minutes of us ordering and it was piping hot. We will certainly come to this location again.

We food was huge! And the service was superb. We ordered steak and unlimited shrimp with unlimited salad. With that, you'll have access to their unlimited salad bar, fried chicken, garlic bread and ice cream.

Food was awesome, customer service was great, clean tables and chairs, there is nothing else to really say except this is a great place to eat. I definitely recommend this.

Has been around for many decades. It's got so much different food options. Sea animals, land mammals, full salad bar.

Great service that was quick and efficient. Food was tasty and my Classic Steak Trio was cook perfectly. I enjoyed their mango lemonade too. Will be returning!!

My old pal Tail Gunner spends his time there in Colma and every year about this time I take him a bottle of his favorite hooch and poor it on his grave, he asked me for this favor the day before he left, so I just do it. Gunner's favorite restaurant was Sizzler probably because it's full of old people eating dinner at 3pm, so I always stop there and eat a meal with the Gunner, it's always a 5 star meal. ☆☆☆☆☆

Just like I remember from my childhood! Combos were awesome and love that the unlimited salad bar still exists!

I can't believe they still exist. "Are you satisfied?" Not quite, I'm still tempted to try a few more items at the salad bar.

I took my son and grandson here for lunch a month ago and wasn’t sure what to expect. Needless to say We have already been back. The salad bar was amazing and so worth the money . Great Value!!! My son had the prime rib burger. Fantastic and Liliana was the best. I would say we will be back, but we already have!

Ate here purely for nostalgia. Food tasted good but paid extra for a bigger steak and that was the thinnest steak I've ever seen it did taste good though. The salad bar was great too.

I give 5 stars all around because this place - It's so nostalgic for me and looks straight out of the 90s. Coming here with family, mom getting the unlimited salad, sharing a huge table, getting the corn balls, then ice cream!

Went to have the salad. 20.00. What a steal of a deal. Everything was fresh. Loved the clam chow soup, chicken wings, tacos, spaghetti and the fresh bread. The ice cream was a plus.for 20 bucks definitely comming back.

I went with a group of friends from Burlingame last Friday night. The food and service was fantastic on its own. However when compared to the price I paid for the meal it was ridiculous. I have not eaten here or at any sizzler in years. I remember growing up, this is one of the places we would go to eat after church on Sunday. Not this location in particular, but the one that is now currently in n out. Stepping into this place was like stepping into a time capsule. Nothing much has changed. One of the main things different is that you can now get your own drink. They have a soda fountain machine next to the salad bar. The walls and the trim looked like the same original light brown with green trim. The salad bar tastes as amazing as I remembered. My typical go-to is the clam chowder soup, chicken wings, nachos, and a soft serve for dessert. For the chicken wings, you have to order it with the waitress. I was just trying to look online for the menu, and some of the stuff I ordered was not even on there. I will try my best off of memory 1. Steak and shrimp (upgraded steak to a ribeye, and the sauce for the shrimp tasted like the orange chicken from Panda Express) - steak was good and the shrimp was nice and crunchy. 2. Fish and chips - surprisingly, this was good. Never had it from here, but the fish was nice and crispy. Not all batter. The fries were really good as well. 3. Mega bacon burger - Definitely a good size, and the burger was juicy and tasty. 4. Shrimp linguini - First time trying this, and it was delicious as well. My cousin found this a little salty, but to me, it tasted perfect. Perfect amout of sauce and the pasta was al dente. Our waitress was amazing. She constantly checked on us and kept the soup bowl and plates coming for the salad bar. Not just that, she kept the cheesy toast coming as well. It's the first time in a while that we had such good service. I honestly was so happy with everything that I can not wait to come back.

Overall it was okay. It had been a long time since I went to a Sizzler. They didn't have chicken at the salad bar and they never refilled the banana pudding(was it banana pudding)while I was there. Haven't been back to this place since the pandemic. It was nice, clean and our server Liliana was great. Salad bar had everything fresh and I think because we were like the first patrons there which they open at 10:30am. We ordered the Baby back ribs and Shrimp Linguine with salad bar. They no longer put the fried chicken wings out at the salad bar but will bring you a basket of it at a time just like they do their cheese bread. Hard to find a Sizzler these days. It's a tradition that goes way back to my childhood. This one appears to be doing well. It was after a busy weekend and they were out of some sides. Service was good. Shrimp & steak were better than I expected, and better than some previous visits to other locations. Keep on sizzling!

Seems like the steaks keep getting smaller but they're still better than Black Bear Diner at the other end of the plaza. Service can be hit or miss. Today service was excellent as our server kept checking on us like we were family. Skip the lobster and grab a steak with a salad bar. You'll leave more satisfied and your wallet will thank you.

AA Sizzler's!! This place is exactly how I remember it from 20 years ago. Appears to have never been updated- same pretend green leather benches and some extensive low quality salad bar. All neat, clean and remarkable in its unchanging majesty. The cheese toast defines the space. Service is old school - make sure to tip the waiter that brings you your food. I took my mom and brother. the menu here is pretty good, and price is fair, considering the salad bar, soup, hot food bar, and dessert come with beverage for $10 and off course the menu is still the basic stuff like sirloin steak,chicken,ad other specialties listed and priced. This store location seems to be doing well from what I saw today. The staff is really friendly and they seem to be on top of things with their customers. I would recommend this place again.

We hadn't gone to this location in many years, and the surprise of ordering before being seated was a massive change we were not expecting. Even though it became very busy, I never felt like we were ever ignored. Would dine here again.

We didn't have an entree. The salad bar offers soup, salad, two kinds of chicken, spaghetti with marinara, and a taco/nachos bar plus jello, ice cream or pudding for dessert. With the cheese toast, that's plenty! Servers are always so nice and efficient.

Mixed Experience with Service** Upon arrival, we were met by a host who seemed disinterested and inattentive. They provided minimal information and appeared more focused on other tasks than assisting us. This lack of engagement made the initial part of our visit somewhat frustrating and unwelcoming. I would suggest the manager of this facility to give a talk to Kim B. However, our server, Nicole, completely turned things around. Nicole was incredibly sweet, informative, and patient. Her professionalism stood out as she ensured our dining experience was pleasant. Despite the rocky start, Nicole's exceptional service made up for the initial disappointment by Kim. Management please listen to me, and keep your staff more organized and give congrats to Nicole, everyone should learn from her!!!

Underrated burgers. Super juicy, made to order, with your preference on how you would like the burger cooked. Still has the unlimited salad bar, although it $10 now, still not too bad.

I was craving steak, so I ordered a ribeye for lunch. Much to my disappointment, the steak want tender at all, and was full of gristle. I'll take a guess they don't use AAA beef. The mashed potatoes weren't great either. 🙁 The price was decent, though; but I should have known "you get what you pay for".

I had a nice time at Sizzlers the food is pretty good. I like the Senior Salad Bar. You have many selections to choose from, like salad, soup, chicken wings, tacos, spaghetti and meat balls, desserts, and, ice cream. The prices are reasonable and you leave there satisfied. Our favorite server is Denzel, he's a very nice person. We enjoy going there when he's working.

I ordered my meal to go but I had to be seated at a table to wait, the waiter took my meal ticket & came back in less than 5mins with my meal. I cash tipped the waiter. New York strip steak & baked potato with butter sour cream. My surprise when I got home was 3 slices of cheese toast in the bag! Steak was cooked perfectly med-rare & was tender. Only downside was the restaurant is very old & visually rundown on inside, needs a serious remodel. Also there was a very large birthday party group ahead of us & the wait to order & be seated was very long, because about everyone in the birthday group was paying separately. Suggestion for SIZZLER when having large groups keep them all at 1 register & keep a 2nd register open for others to be checked in. This Sizzler is very busy, especially at weekend dinner.

Growing up in the 70's Sizzler was pretty much our only restaurant choice. It was a real treat. The quality of the food has changed so. I know we live in a more instant and fast world which lowers the expectation of quality. One thing I like is that on the salad bar the chicken wings are not sitting out there in the open. Your server will bring more when you ask. The Cashier Amy and our server were very nice and helpful.

Service is great and attentive, but the menu has very few choices than at other locations. Food is okay and not the greatest, and portions also seem smaller. The salad bar has gotten better but very few options. The bathrooms are still dirty. The whole place still needsmore clean up. Lots of people though.

My family and I used to go here a lot when I was a kid. A lot of things changed since then, and especially now with the covid protocols. Despite all that, the food is still good for the price (especially the addicting garlic cheesy bread), and the service was friendly as well.

The clam chowder, chicken noodle and broccoli cheddar soups are not bad. The best part, you can add all the toppings from the salad bar onto the soups. My favorite toppings are bacon, cheese, croutons, ham and onions. The chicken wings are now available in the hot foods section. Previously, the waiter needs to bring you a basket along with the cheese toast. Sizzler is the type of restaurant were you order at the cashier and the waiter doesn't really do anything. Original review: Tonight I had Sizzler's salad bar ($14) and a ice tea ($3). You have to wear the supplied gloves if you want to use the salad bar. As far as lettuce and toppings selection goes, it wasn't bad. I liked how they had the fancy stuff like kale lettuce and baby corn. It did lack regular salad toppings like almonds, apple, bean sprouts, edamame, oranges and yellow corn. For the hot stuff, they had a selection of four soups. The clam chowder is my favorite. Chicken wings are no longer available. They did have chicken nuggets and little corn dogs. The weird thing was, they had all the ingredients (beans, rice, shredded lettuce, taco meat) to make a taco, but I couldn't the tortillas. It was right next to the pasta station. I can't imagine anyone adding beans and shredded lettuce onto their pasta. They also have premixed salads like crab salad, egg salad, potato salad and tuna salad. Those were terrible. I enjoyed the beets and romaine salad I made way more. Another complaint is the salad dressings are not labeled. Hint, the one on the right is ranch. Not blue cheese.

I have been here once on a hungry appetite. You basically get what you paid for, the salad bar is nice while you wait for your food. This is a place when you are on a budget, my steak was definitely the opposite (Well done) of what I requested (Medium). The lobster on the other hand was mediocre but edible. Service was good, everyone was helpful and friendly. Food was OK, some items weren't available like mash or caramel sauce. The main issue after our visit was, that 3 of 4 of our party had heavy stomach problems after the visit today!

Although we hadn't been here in a while, we decided to have dinner here. It's not the same restaurant we remembered. The prices are outrageous now. For about $15, you get an average piece of meat with a backed potatoe or rice, and that's it. A salad bar addition to your dinner is about $10. The quality of their food is mediocre at best. The shrimp tasted like they had been tossed in a toaster oven and slapped on a plate. The plates, bowls, and cutlery still had food attached. I could feel food on the bowls and plates and see it on the spoons. The wait staff was very nice. They try to make up for the nastiness of the food and dirty tables by making sure you have what you need to eat your meal. The floor feels like fly paper. At the end of our meal, there was a fight. Started as a verbal argument and turned into a shouting match, then dishes started flying. We left. Colma police was outside when we left. Go to Black Bear in the same strip mall. Sizzler has lost its sizzle!

Worst sizzler I've been to in a long time. Less than mid quality. I ate at the one in San Jose. All the time. Went there. There were almost no entrees together with the salad. They ran out of the chicken wings and anything else like that so all they offered was mini corn dogs. It overall it was a big disappointment. When I went to complain the indifferent manager pointed at some illegible sign that said they were out of chicken. But of course I paid the price as if I had chicken. I previously had been to this location many times but am not inclined to go back.

They DO NOT label the dressings for the salad or the soups. You have to guess what it is.

We ordered 5 steaks and all were burnt to the point of the meat tasting bitter. The salad bar had limited proteins. You order and pay before you get your food and feels like you're in a cafeteria back in school. I'm not one to complain regarding food so just paid and left. I have always loved this restaurant, but these last to visits, are exactly that, at the Colma location. I didn't realize why every time we had gone in the past, it looked like they washed the road in front of the entrance, but last two visits, saw why. They are washing up vomit. And it not only struck me that every time we ate there someone was getting sick, the last two visits made it quite clear. They don't cook the food properly, and people are getting sick. Both visits, the chicken wings were half raw, and my steak was 70% blubber fat, cooked and turned over thinking the customer wouldn't see, yet I did. It was also raw inside. Two of my family got sick shortly after eating there. I don't blame the waiter, which is why I tipped him. This place needs to be reported.

She ordered the steak well done, the steak came out rare, so the plate was sent back to the kitchen. When she received her well-done steak, as she was eating, she picked up a medium size black straight hair with her fingers, and immediately spit out what she had in her mouth in a napkin. If you're a person who appreciates, enjoys, and knows good food in a comfortable setting I advise you to Completely Skip over this “restaurant”. #Gross

The salad bar had a horrible presentation. Salad dressings were spilled into other salad dressings. The crab salad was soaked in mayo to the point where you could hardly see the crab. The handles of some serving utensils were left inside the containers. Food was all over the floor. There was no chicken or soup. The spaghetti noodles were soaked in dirty looking water and the sauce was watered down. There were hardly any customers. Therefore it was no excuse for the lack of cleanliness. I refused to eat there so I returned my unused plate, glass and utensils and got my money back.

There are no additives to it, they do not allow to do it ourselves, they brought in a small portion - and no additives! It all cost $ 50 and a 5 dollar tip. I hope we didn't get poisoned, as we ate very little.

The service was terrible! We waited in a long line, and no one was at the register to take our order. We ended up going to Black Bear Diner instead, which was a much better choice. What a waste of time at Sizzler!

Very very bad experience. I asked the steak well done and this doesn’t look well done at all. Looks raw meat. The shrimp 🍤 looks bad like expired. I travel a lot and eat at sizzler often, So far this is the worst sizzler I have eaten at. I’m sitting here at the table and writing this review. I feel my stomach sick 🥴

This what I got! I paid for almost $50. Not worth it!I ask for medium and medium rare. It's not even medium!!! It's all welldone!!! I hate this food!! Not worth it!!! Everything is over cooked. Never coming back! Don't waste your time service time is horrible.

I keep finding more reason to stop coming here. The food is on the decline- bread toast came out soggy, lumpy, had a hole in the middle like someone put a finger thru. There was food scraps and trash all around the floor next to the table where it was cleaned off. I find it difficult to dine as it looked as if I was sitting next to a dumpster. The normal staff before, asian folks, not there. Just an old grumpy dude with gray hair, who could wish he was somewhere else. I mentioned that to the people- the staff, and they just ignored it and said they'll get to it when they get to it. I had to maneuver around the mess just to get to my table. The pasta bar- sauce it was not. red, watery. Nothing resembling a sauce. Had meat balls floating in a red water. The salad bar is mediocre. The steak is mediocre. Why do I bother coming here. It may be because the good memories years ago. But, enough is enough, I am done with Sizzler. For the same amount spent here, I could have a good prime rib dinner at another location. So done.

The food (salad bar) LOOKED appetizing but 90% of the contents looked like it had been sitting out all day. Their Italian/Mex stuff looked nasty, so I passed on trying it. Half the soups looked crusted over. I tried the freshest looking, which was a decent clam chowder. The veggie soup was nasty. The traditional salad items were decent. The lemon wedges were all old looking and hadn’t been stocked for a few hours I’m sure. The premade salads like pasta, coleslaw, etc were tasteless and not worth a second bite. This is the vagabond’s poor version of Outback Steakhouse. You’re better off going somewhere else! The place itself is nice enough. A little grubby feeling, though.

Went yesterday for dinner around 630pm. Only two men on staff taking care of the dinner crowd. Waited over 25 minutes to get our drinks. The food arrived cold and zero flavor. Never again. It's been a while since I'd been to a Sizzler I was reminded why I shouldn't go ahead. There isn't a valid reason why our food was cold. If a restaurant is under staff that's a management problem and should never be a customer's problem. I also want to know why are we require to tip before receiving the service. I was under the impression that a tip is based on an over all service experience. If the service, and food is great I tip great if not what's the tipping for? That needs to change.

If i could give a zero star review i would. Easily the worst meal i have had while visiting in America. We went to sizzler for some nostalgia as we no longer have sizzler in Australia instead i will probably get diarrhea. The salads looked wilted and sad, the pasta was an over cooked sloppy mess with no flavour. $20 USD for a salad bar and a drink is a joke with that type of quality. Meant to be endless cheese toast, we got offered one basket and then didn't see a server again. Not normally one to make such a negative post but was so disappointed in this experience.

Kim at the Colma location extremely rude and unprofessional waited over 45 minutes to get chicken was told if I did not like it I could leave without getting a refund I expressed I would complain to corporate management she replied are you threatening me by my statement and if so to leave right now.. now that I see the posted complaints i will never be back here to this location ever.

Ordered through DD and asked for the works on the baked potato. Nothing. Dry. They are obvious incompetent and cannot read. I waited 45 minutes for this order. So upset. Actually the whole entire meal is discusting. Chewy steak, over cooked chicken, soggy bread.

Gave me well done when I asked for medium rare. Afterwards, I asked for a new steak and they gave me some type of meat with a consistency like chicken, probably not defrosted. Finally, the workers seemed fed up and served me a completely raw steak. Horrible dining experience and will never go to here again.

I really feel bad for the two servers who were trying to handle 20+ tables. They were doing their best, but the service was slow — clearly not their fault, but because management doesn’t staff enough people. We waited about 15 minutes just for chicken, and several food containers were empty, which suggest the kitchen is also understaffed. Even worse, my wife almost slipped in the bathroom because the floor was so slippery. That’s a huge safety risk that could happen to anyone. There’s a lot this place needs to fix. Sadly, this was our first and last time visiting Sizzler.

I absolutely do not recommend a place with no flavour or taste.

Honestly hasn’t been to one of these in so long and was expecting it to be like it used to. Everything at the salad bar was flavorless and not at all worth what we paid. Even the drinks seemed off to my wife and I. At least there was a target to go to and get some food at afterwards. Was even surprised to see a sizzler still around should have known

Super disappointed!! Grew up loving Sizzler! Was upset when they started closing all in the area I live in. My husband works by there so he has been mentioning it from time to time. Our family, for Christmas, went to the mall nearby and then went here for dinner. We don't have a lot on money to eat out so this was supposed to be a treat...We get there and there are no tables because they are either occupied or filled with dirty dishes. The ONE waiter was also bussing tables. We found a booth and it took 25 minutes for the waiter to even come over and get our tag. My husband and I got the salad bar. My daughter got the trip tip with cilantro lime rice and my son ordered the Malibu chicken with no ham or cheese. They bring out the food and the chicken has the cheese and ham on it. We sent it back. The Tri tip was cooked rare when we asked for medium. It had no flavor. The cilantro lime rice, it tasted the rice a roni. Finally my son got his food like 20 minutes later...I mean I guess that is a good sign that they cooked a new meal instead of scraping the stuff off the top. The salad bar...there was a dirty plate on the edge that was there both times we went up there. The toppings for the salad were frozen. The meat balls had a funny smell and the macaroni sad tasted horrible. They had chicken wings up on the side of the hot bar like it was an after thought. The dessert bar...ice cream was all over the floor and only the chocolate worked...what a mess. My son poured a starry and it looked like lemonade. I am not a complainer, but I asked for the manger to come over...he looked like he wanted to laugh and the two things he said was...we are busy and then offered a refund which I took. There is no excuse for being that disorganized and dirty. The review by Christian was accurate...the brand has died. Very sad. I would not step foot in this establishment.

As an Australian who has been without Sizzler locally for 30 years, I was excited to see a Sizzler when visiting San Francisco. Seems a lot has changed. No longer is the salad bar included in a meal purchase....an extra $10. Ok so a 250g tri tip, salad bar and soft drink was almost $35 USD. Unlimited cheese bread with meal purchase actually means one for the table, and nobody bothering to ask us if we wanted more or even being visible to ask for more. Ok let's try the Salad bar. The salad bar itself was ok, but the hot (luke warm at a stretch) options were really poor. If someone was attending and making sure food standards were decent, I would probably be ok, but dried out pasta and mac and cheese where the sauce has split is just not good enough. The Tri Tip steak was ok. Since holidaying in the USA i have made the rule to myself to tip at the end of the meal, even for times like this where its expected to tip when ordering. Thankfully I was able to do that here as the service was non exsistant. Also the cleanliness also needs real work So people reading this might say "its Sizzler, what do you expect"? I expect for the same price I paid at say Texas Roadhouse for a 400g Prime Rib, that I get a similar quality meal and service. Its easy to see why the brand is dying if this is the quality of food and service you get for your money.

The worst food I’ve had in a while probably. I ended up getting a refund. I got a burger and it was super greasy, and didn’t look or taste like burger meat. When I asked for a refund I wasn’t asked what was wrong with the food or apologized to, I just was told “I’ll see what I can do” in a sort of tone.

The menu never changes so I always know what I want if I eat here. As the years go by quality and service dropped and it's time to get rid of the resturant. Why pay for soup and salad when you already know the waiter will give you extra plate . Free is always good but to run a business this is not something you want happing if your the owner. Sorry but I gotta be honest. To start, the food it was terrible. We ordered steak, it was overcooked and had no flavor.👎👎👎 It was like eating a shoe. The chicken wings were as hard as stone 🗿. And the bathrooms smelled very bad 🤢💩. Its almost like they've never cleaned them. SIZZLER you need to hire people who can actually cook, not people who can just microwave stuff. The floors are a mess, and it was super crowded which made it hard to even walk around. I would not go back there.

I ordered my steak rare and received it med-well done. The steak looks like it was cooked in a cast iron pan. There were minimal grill marks on the meat. See photos. I thought the meat was suppose to sizzle in the flame, hence the name Sizzler. The fries were also well done and unappealing. Carrots did not look clean. The ribs were over cooked as if it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for days. The waiter was excellent in customer service. The food was simply atrocious.
