Xenia Greek Kouzina

Excellent entrees and wine in a very elegant and soothing atmosphere and top service. This was our seventh time here in about 3-4 years, and was as consistently excellent as always. We had the bronzino, the scallops dish, sides, and the Bosinakis Moschfilero Greek white wine, which was a great pairing for our seafood. I appreciate the opportunity here to try Greek wines. At first being undecided on which wine to have, our server Jonathan brought us samples. This being our wedding anniversary, the maitre d' wished us a happy anniversary when he sat us, and our server Jonathan brought us a complimentary dessert of honeyed mini doughnuts. We asked Jonathan for a dollop of vanilla ice cream (not on the menu as that) and he happily delivered (and for just $1).

Fresh ingredients, phenomenal attention to detail, and an inviting staff are a few reasons Xenia is - and I don't say this lightly - the best Greek food I've had. The fried calamari is seasoned and battered perfectly. The squid rings are thick and tender. The classic chicken Soulvaki is elevated with fresh cucumber, tomatoes, feta and perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken (chef's kiss). Even the French fries are simply amazing... double fried crunch and perfect potato flavor. I highly recommend all of it. Just try the entire menu (treat yourself)... cheers!

Always a great experience. Exceptional food, service, and vibe. Great for a special occasion. Highly recommend the flaming saganaki, bronzino, crab cake with truffle fries, and loukamades for dessert.

This tucked away gem was wonderful. Beautiful atmosphere. Walking in it's like you're transported to Greece. Beautiful blue and white upscale coastal Greek vibes. Flavorful and delicious food, menu hosts something for everyone!

This restaurant was so nice. You walk in and the place smells so clean. They have fresh fish on display and you could tell it was fresh because there was no smell at all. The atmosphere is beautiful, the decor is modern and inviting. The food was really good! I the cheese roll and the lamb shank. I was so so good. I love the raised booths. The glass separating the booths provides privacy and was internally lit. It was so well integrated into the style of the restaurant I had to ask if it was there prior to COVID.

Xenia is a beautifully designed restaurant. The dining experience was amazing… from the greeting at the door, the stunning ambiance, exceptional service and delicious meal from start to finish. Thank you for a lovely evening! We will return!

I am impressed. I'm not a person who gets impressed easily. This restaurant has everything thing that people look for in fine dining. Service & atmosphere are top notch; Food is delicious. I've been living howard County for over 20yrs, howcome I did not know about this place?!!!

We were here celebrating. The food was absolutely exceptional! We liked literally every dish we ordered. The cheese rolls were coated with a thin layer of honey. The main courses, Lamb chops were so soft but still gave you good texture of meat. Lamb shank? Omg, it melted in the mouth. The seasoning was just wonderful. We also appreciated the service, the server absolutely knew their job well.

I was searching for somewhere new to go for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and so glad I picked this! Went with my bf, mom and aunt and all of us were glad I picked it. Not sure how we’ve missed this gem but we will be back again for sure. It’s so beautiful inside. With blue and white theme, blue lights and murals of Greek scenery. Just gorgeous inside! Although a bit noisy, there were some large groups that night. We all enjoyed what we got and tasted each meal. Lots of hard choices since several cocktails looked tasty as well as many dishes to pick from. Not pictured was a Moussaka and Papperdelle Me Kima and for dessert, Loukoumades, their signature donut balls. The service was also impeccable. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

The best Greek restaurant ever! Everything I’ve had was excellent! The grilled octopus was tender and tasty. The Chilean sea bass and steak were cooked perfectly. The dessert egg custard was not on the menu. It was delicious. I’m glad I ordered it. The Greek donuts was really good too.

Amaaaaazing experience here! The service is phenomenal, the staff is so pleasant especially our server, Orlando. He was incredibly friendly. The food came out quickly and was delicious! The ambiance is perfect for a quiet, classy, and intimate meal. I highly recommend and I will most certainly be back soon.

Slowly becoming one of my favorites. I have tried a few of their menu items, from the gyro pita to Greek salad. I enjoyed every bite. Great service and friendly staff.

Definitely a great restaurant especially for date night. The food was delicious, and our waiter was the absolute nicest. Honestly, the entire staff was nice. The location is rather unique because it’s near office buildings. So initially I thought my GPS was taking me to their headquarters and not the restaurant 😂 but found it! Everything we got was great. It’s on the pricier side so don’t go if you don’t have money lol. So serious about that. You won’t be disappointed though.

We chose the prix fixe on New Year's Eve to dine at Xenia. We enjoyed a delicious four course meal. Starting with the grilled octopus, which was beyond superb. Perfectly cooked, tender as butter and perfectly sauced. I had the lamb shank, which literally fell off the bone with tenderness and flavor. My partner had the seafood pasta which had clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a delicious velvety sauce. The wine list is extensive but slightly overpriced even for an upscale restaurant. The cocktails are generous pours. Dessert was the largest portion of baklava I've ever eaten. Looking forward to returning to enjoy the menu without the holiday rush, which, by the way, had no effect on the excellent and attentive service.

We had an amazing experience at Xenia in Columbia, MD! The service was absolutely incredible — attentive, kind, and made us feel truly celebrated. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, which made the experience even better. For my birthday, I asked if they could incorporate a small gender reveal into my cake, and the way they executed it with colored dye was beautiful and thoughtful. They handled it perfectly and made the moment feel really special for us. Highly recommend Xenia for amazing service, great food, and a team that goes above and beyond to make moments memorable.

What a perfect little hidden gem. Some of the best service I’ve had in long time. Richard was the perfect server, very attentive and on top of everything. Anywhere that serves Illy espresso knows what they are doing. They have a great little lunch menu and great ambiance. The food was delicious, fresh, perfectly seasoned and you can really tell they care about the quality of their ingredients. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I went to this restaurant for a pre-birthday celebration 1-23 my Birthday is 1-24 .. I went to this restaurant with my husband. We had a beautiful time. The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere the live music They serve me beautiful dessert to celebrate my birthday. I travel 45 minutes to get there. Trust me I will do it again… I will give them 100. Unfortunately I can only get them at 10.😘😘🩷

My first time eating authentic Greek cuisine & I loved it. The food was flavorful and fresh. Customer service was excellent & I really loved decor in the restaurant. Our waiter was named Nas. He’s was very friendly and polite. I liked his knowledge about all the entrees. I’ll definitely go back again. A+

Part of what made our visit a tier above excellent was Xenia's impeccable service, aside from the quality food and luxurious ambiance. I was deeply impressed by all the wait staff's attentiveness, attention to detail, curating a truly premium dining experience. Without a doubt, 10/10.

I ordered carryout lunch (2 days ahead)for 11 people at a doctor's office in the building across the parking lot. The person taking my order offered delivery, which was unexpected but much appreciated. The food was excellent; everyone loved it. And they even gave us 3 complimentary boxes of 3 different desserts! We had pita and dip appetizers, Greek salad, chicken souvlaki, gyro, and falafel platters as well as lemon potatoes. I've also had the pleasure of dining in on a few occasions and those experiences get ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ as well.

We’ve been here several times and the food is exceptional! The service staff is attentive without being over bearing. And the blue lights reminiscent of the sea are kind of cool as well. But the real star? Is the food!!! Apps we’ve tried include the Haloumi and the Grape Leaves. Love em both. As to main dishes? The Lobster Ravioli will make you think you’ve died and gone to heaven. The Lamb Chops are superb. So look … not too many ways to go wrong. Recommended highly and without reservation.

we stopped by here for a bite to eat at happy hour (served at the bar) and we were quite impressed with this place!! walking up, the atmosphere is very sophisticated and felt very classy. when we entered, we were greeted by very friendly and accommodating staff- they were polite and engaging! they made sure we were comfortable at the bar and offered very efficient service. the food came out hot, and it was so good!! the grape leaves were so delicious, i am definitely coming back to have them again. I also ordered the lamb sliders- you have to try them, they are the perfect size to eat with a drink. so tasty!! the drink menu had lots of different options, we really enjoyed our experience here.

The atmosphere was amazing but the food for us was hit or miss. For a party of 2, we got the fried zucchini, stuffed grape leaves, scallops, chicken orzo soup, and Greek salad. The apps tasted really good but our entrees were ok. My scallops tasted really good but the pea puree and the rest of the plate did not taste good to me. The soup tasted like Campbell's chicken noodle soup straight from the can. And the salad was nothing special. Perhaps the rest of the menu is better but I don't recommend those dishes.

Food was good, but not mind-blowing. We expected tastier food, given the reviews and the prices ($130+ for two dishes and one dessert.) But it was just underwhelming. The beautiful dining areas can't compensate for the okay food. The best part of our experience was the waiter, who was very friendly and attentive.

The service was excellent. However for the price the food just didn’t meet our expectations. We’ve had a lot of excellent Greek food and this was just okay. The scallops were an odd mix of flavors. The half roasted chicken was dry, the lobster ravioli was good but no better that carrabas. The best dish was the lamb which was flavorful with an excellent orzo accompaniment.

I had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was amazing food was good. I would go back just because of the atmosphere. I ordered the gyro and calamari. The calamari was not my favorite. Gyro was good.

The bright hue of blue was a great choice for the restaurants color scheme. It’s lively but a relaxed atmosphere. Customer service was great. We went for a friend’s birthday dinner, party of 10 and the timing of food coming out was good as well. We tried the lobster bisque. The consistency of the soup was just right. It was creamy as well as the flavor was delicious. I also had the vodka pasta with shrimp. It was good but needed more seasoning for me. We had the Xenia Spreads. If you like humus and tzatziki you’ll be satisfied. The desserts were a disappointment for me. The one good thing was they weren’t very sweet. The baklava reminded me of an egg roll with a lot of nuts. The loukoumades were very light tasting. The last dessert I can’t remember the name but it was filled with a cream but was tasteless as well.

Two words, crab cake! This is one of the most tastiest crab cakes I’ve ever consumed. No filling, just crab and this delicious sauce. The steak was also good, seasoned well along with the potatoes. My drink was good and strong. The initial customer service I received wasn’t that great, but as the night progressed it was alright.

They start you with pita and olives, which is a nice touch. I ordered the scallops but didn't like the dish. They were very accommodating and I ended up with the salmon (delicious). Partner enjoyed the pasta. I also had a mocktail that was good.

Xenia just opened a little over 2 weeks ago in Columbia. When you first walk in, the decor and design is impressive. They have a nice wine list with wonderful Greek wines as well as wonderful house made cocktails. We had the Xenia Chips for an appetizer. For dinner, we had the Red Snapper and Lobster Pasta (the Greek name is challenging). These were definitely tasty but slightly too little salt. We received a complimentary dessert of loukemades. Those were totally delicious. Our waitress was amazing. Average price per person is closer to $50 or more instead of the $30 advertised. The only issue was the delay in food coming out from the kitchen. We were in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. It took a while to get our appetizer and meal. That said the owner and manager both stopped by our table to introduce themselves. We'll definitely return. We just may give things a few months to settle into a rhythm there.

Xenia is a surprisingly nice spot for Columbia—honestly feels more like something you’d expect to find in DC. The vibe inside is great, even though the location is a little off the beaten path. When I first came in 2021, the service was amazing—super attentive and friendly. Lately, though, it’s felt like that part has slipped a bit. Still, the dinner menu holds up and is consistently good. The lunch specials, on the other hand, are hit or miss. My go-to is always the pasta and fish (flown in from Greece), and my husband’s is the lamb. A great option if you’re looking for a nicer night out without heading into the city.

Very pretty interior and nice service at this Greek restaurant. However, the prices are very high for the dishes and I didn’t feel like the food was particularly worth the cost. The crab cake was pretty good but it’s not an actual Greek dish. Their grilled fish was okay but the flavors they used weren’t my taste.

The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! The ambience is definitely amazing. It screams perfection. I came here for a friend’s birthday dinner and I was quite disappointed. First, the food was not great, although it looked appetizing..It was tasteless. That was the feedback for everyone at the table. And we are foodies! We did not finish our food, while a few had their food sent back. The Apple Fizz (non-alcoholic) drink was OK. It just tastes like a ginger ale with a slash of apple. Lamb Chops were a 5 out of 10. The Pita Bread they brought to the table was good (lol). Shrimp Linguini was 5 out of 10 after adding extra black pepper and a little salt. Vodka Pasta got sent back after one bite. The Salmon also was tasteless and needed some more seasoning. Second, the owner or the manager which was an older man, was very rude and grumpy. We were told we weren’t allowed to take pictures with flash in the restaurant, even though it was EMPTY in the restaurant. There was one other group in the far back corner of the restaurant, but manager was throwing a fit about taking pictures of the birthday girl. Also, her husband brought a cake from a private baker outside of the restaurant as a surprise and the server and manager said they can cut the cake but they charged $2 per slice they cut. Isn’t that weird? I haven’t experienced that before anywhere. Food was 2.5 out of 10. However, If you want to go for the aesthetic then this is it. If you are looking for delicious food—eh. It’s very “fresh” I hope this helps! 💖

I really had high hopes for this place. My order was lamb chops, well done. It took much longer than what was quoted. Staff wasn't very friendly at all. I had a take out order. Finally after getting the food and arriving home, one of the three lamb chops was I guess medium rare. Blood was flowing from the lamb chop. I took video of it. Called them to make them aware. Went back the next day and the on duty manager was Jose. I was explaining to him what happened, when all of a sudden he left to go in the kitchen. No explanation was given. I was left standing there for more than five minutes. The guy at the cash register was no help at all. I kept asking him what was going on. After a few moments I decided to give him my name and telephone number and I left. I get home and after three hours, no call. So I called and spoke to Jose. I explained again to him about the order. He told me that they would give me one lamb chop. I felt like they thought I was trying to get something from them. I told Jose, that my concern was that they know and advise the Chef what happened. I told him that I was not trying to get anything for free and that was my first time coming there and it will also be my last time based upon this experience.

On a scale of 1-10 I’d give the food a 4/10, aesthetic 7/10, atmosphere 4/10. We booked a reservation for 2 and were sat along a wall cramped in with other parties of 2. Food is overpriced for the quality. You can get better food for less, you can get a better dining experience with more space for less. If you’re a party of 2 you’ll likely be cramped in next to another party of 2 and listening to their conversation the entire night. Aesthetically the place is ok. You can come here for your Instagram photos and pretend like you’re doing something special as per usual. But in reality the restaurant just isn’t that great. I’ve had better food at a carry out. For context we ordered 2 drinks, salad, appetizer (horrible tasting), 2 entrees and 2 desserts and the bill was about $200 + $40 tip. Waitress was ok, nothing super special. Staff seemed nice overall but for the price it’s just not that great. Would not recommend and won’t be returning. If you’ve never truly had fine dining you may think this is it. It definitely isnt. For those of us that have had fine dining and a wide palate go somewhere else.

It was a nice experience until it was time to pay and my bank alerted me that $400 was tooken off my card when it was only suppose to be $129 the waiter came back gave me my card and receipt to sign never said anything, so i asked and he said oh i had to adjust it. So my thing is you wasn’t going say anything until i did and now im waiting for my money to be refunded back to my card.

We had a group lunch at this restaurant on October 8, 2025. The drinks were very good, and our server was friendly and attentive — but unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. For a place that calls itself a five-star restaurant, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The glass walls were covered in greasy handprints, and the light fixtures above our table looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the restaurant opened four years ago. We ordered grilled calamari as an appetizer, and it was both burned and undercooked at the same time. For my main course, I ordered the fish of the day — rockfish — which was expensive, but when it arrived, the fish and even the plate were ice-cold. I didn’t eat it, and while the restaurant did waive the charge and apologize, the overall experience was disappointing. One of my coworkers ordered a medium-rare steak, but it was served medium-well and tasted off. He ate it anyway, but later that evening, he developed abdominal pain and nausea, and had to call out sick today. This restaurant charges premium prices for poorly prepared and flavorless food. I do not recommend this place — save your money and dine elsewhere.
