Opinions de Blake Street Sports Bar Columbus
Coming back home from an Astros game we decide to stop and watch the Texans game. We came across Blake's in Columbus TX. This place is a real nice place. Clean atmosphere, service was great, and lots of tvs. The food was excellent. We tried the chicken and waffle sandwich, and the Philly cheese steak sandwich. They both are very good. I recommend this place.
I only ever eat outside and its a very comfortable porch area and they never forget about us. The restrooms are clean if a bit dark. good comfort food
Stopping for food in Columbus on our way to the Hill Country has never been pleasurable until we found Blake’s. This is our second time and both times have been great. We usually split a specialty burger and order their great onion rings as our side. It’s easy to get to just behind HEB. It has become our got to destination for a great lunch on the road.
Not from here- food was great- had the mini chicken fried streak- delicious- had the prickly pear margarita- again delicious- I would come back here if I lived closer!!! Thank you
Great place! We were staying at a campground in the area when we discovered Blake’s. We visited multiple times and the experience was great each time. The wings are on point and the sides and salad are amazing. The staff is top notch as well. As a family that travels a lot, we see a ton of different operations. This place runs a well oiled machine. The quality, attentiveness, and service show it!
Cute spot to stop on our route. Friendly and welcoming staff. They have a huge selection of drinks, and beers on tap. Wings were crispy in the best way! I'd recommend the fried pickles they had a good slight spicy flavor.
Great food and service. Fun atmosphere.
Bacon burger and onion rings were excellent. They even brought ranch with the rings, didn't have to ask. Not many places do that. Philly cheese steak rocked too, and perfectly sweetened tea. Was there for lunch so didn't get any cocktails, but the bar looks great.
We stopped here on a road trip coming home from the Hill Country. The food was delicious, the service was prompt and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. The bathrooms don't have paper towels and are kind of dark. I suggest that when they are ready to remodel them, add paper towels as it's a restaurant, and people like to throughly dry their hands before returning to their food. Overall, I recommend Blake's and will dine here again.
Great place, great food! Congrats Blake on an awesome restaurant, come a long ways from the pizza place🤘🤠🤘 Just need some live music on the patio💯
Found this place on the Google Maps search and do glad we did! Great atmosphere, service, and food! This food tastes like someone trained in the Galleria in Houston - very delicious! We had the updated wedge salad, a large pizza and the cream cheese half pound hamburger with salt and vinegar fries - try this place when you're halfway to where you're going.
Everything was amazing. The food was classic and fresh. The service was above par and the cocktails were amazing
Blakes Kitchen & Kocktailz is an easy on-off stop off I10 in Columbus, TX. It's a local favorite that falls between totally trendy yet uniquely retro. Not only do the locals love the restaurant and its friendly owners, but patrons in neighboring cities and travelers just passing by are catching on to the hip vibe here. Stop in and meet Blake, who is almost always there and remembers pretty much every locals' usual order. Blake's menu has a variety of different dishes to choose from, from burgers and wraps, wing night, pizzas and flatbreads, to health foods or comfort foods, and even desserts. They have a solid list of cocktails to choose from and will make just about anything you can dream up. If you really want a real treat, stop in on Thursdays for steak night. You can usually pair your steak with shrimp and sometimes a lobster tail. The steaks are grilled to order and come with mashed potatoes, a roll, and a side salad. You will probably find yourself wanting to try 1 of everything on their drink menu. I highly recommend stopping in for their delicious apps, homestyle meals, an ice cold spirit, and their friendly service. Oh! And don't forget to stop and take a selfie at their selfie stations! You'll have to stop in and see that part for yourself.
Stopped in for lunch before heading back to Houston. We all ordered burgers! The burgers were fresh and great in flavor. Loved the short string fries as well! Oh, the pickle chips were also yummy. There's a little kick to the batter which made it that much more better in flavor 😋
It’s been a while since my last visit, but the food and service did not disappoint. Portions are just right, and every bite delivers on flavor. A great spot for a satisfying lunchtime meal.
Amazing food, great service, and always pleasant atmosphere
Stopped at Blake’s on the way from San Antonio to New Orleans. Great choice. Loved the look and feel of the place. Well thought out in lots of ways. We were particularly happy with the outlet at the table. What a concept! The wait staff was fast and very attentive. The food was good! Hubs had the Philly Cheesesteak and Salt & Vinegar fries. I had the Wing Basket with Garlic Parm wings and seasoned fries. All fresh and delicious! And it was $28 and change which I’m pretty sure is pretty close to what you’d pay for 2 people to eat at Popeyes. Blake’s rocks!
Nice place, well designed great open atmosphere. Food was great! Portions are awsome, everything that passed by us looked awsome, small chicken fried steak was great..batter stayed crispy and the Buffalo wrap was delicious and a very friendly staff!!
We had our son’s wedding day lunch for he and his groomsmen at Blake’s in early Nov. The food and service was incredible for about 20 guys. They took care of us and treated them special. Would highly recommend for a party or just a lunch/dinner. Blake was great to work with. Love this place and you will too.

I was surprised at the types of food offered here. A blend of comfort but also fine dining types of foods. I could not be more surprised in a good way. The food offerings were all very tasty and the portion sizes were substantial. The staff was polite. I will definitely be traveling back here to eat again.
Such a nice place. We were on the way to Houston and this was a prefect place to stop for dinner and a drink. Food and service were both great. Owner was nice and checking in on tables. We had pork chops and chicken fried steak which were good. My kid had the ranch chicken wrap and she really liked it.

Stopped in for a quick bite on our way back to Houston. Was very happy with our food! Ordered the cream cheese burger. Chillis or Applebee's use to have a chicken sandwich which was similar, but never quite hit the spot. But on a burger this is fire! Good mixture of sweet creamy and salty. The tots were actually just three large tots which had the bacon and cheese within. Another win! Could have a couple of craft beers in the rotation, but that's just like my opinion man. Looking forward to stopping by again!
Food was good & it is clean with a nice decor. I didn't really feel welcomed.
Late lunch, so not crowded. Food was excellent, service was a little slow. We will visit again. I had ahi tuna lettuce wraps which were just spicy enough. My sweet potato fries were a bit oil saturated. Hubby had a chicken wrap, which he enjoyed. He also had the bacon tater tots, which are large and delicious.
A good stop-off on our way home. Appreciate them accommodating our kids and our dogs.
The food was excellent, but never really knew who our waiter/waitress was, someone different kept coming to our table. I gave overall 4 stars, because I felt like we were being rushed out of there
Ate here at lunch on the way back home on a Sunday. Straight forward menu, great service and a good value. We ordered grilled chicken cob salad. The servins were large, the ingredients were very tasty and the meal was well worth the price.
The burgers were very good. The fries came out cold. The Chicken Fried steak was amazing.I would recommend this place for anyone.
Really a nice place to come and relax and have a beer. Food is really good. I had the Chicken Fried steak, fried pickles, taters, and corn.

For the area this is one of the better places to come eat. They make a good pizza and a few other things we liked. It's a regular place for me to stop when I'm in the area

Off I10, conveniently open until 11, wide adult beverage selection, variety of meals available, tvs viewable from several areas, temperature comfortable, restrooms clean and neatly decorated, bar, table, and booths seating. We arrived around 9:15, there was a small crowd covering a few tables and bar area. Our food was not bad, just needed a little more more flavor. Service was slow however, correct and friendly, drinks were refilled. Would try it out again.
This restaurant is fairly new. It’s big and beautiful inside. The wait staff are very friendly. However I think with a little more time everything will be at five star status ( food & taste wise). Just takes a little time. Depending on when you go, the wait time for your food could be a little long. But nevertheless. It’s a good cool & fun restaurant for Columbus Texas. If you have a large group of friends and want a fun place to go hang out, this would be the place to go to
The service is slow and unfriendly at times. The food for the most part is OK. My opinion is everything that comes out of the kitchen seems to be overcooked, on the well done to even burnt side. A Fry basket made for the Cabbage Patch Kids with no paper insert to absorb the grease and 3 little pieces of onion on a pulled pork slider. Sad, truely sad. As it has been said Blake’s is DOG friendly, outside on the patio. On your entrance to the establishment you have to walk through well…, initially puddles, then dried, now stained, sometimes even a fly infested walkway. I’ll let you decide what exactly it was or is that you are walking through. This has been here over three weeks. They don’t care to clean it up. You have to look down to see where you are walking, but when you do, you’ll probably lose your appetite.

Besides my drink looking like dirty pee water…. It tasted disgusting. I love absinthe which is why I ordered this… but the taste of the mixture was so gross. It was the till death do we passion drink. Then I ordered the sprintz one and like what the heck.. it also tasted gross…. I tried but ultimately we just left I asked the waiter to please trade the absinthe drink out in the beginning or if it’s too much, just to please take it back and I’ll drink my water. He gave me a hard time making it seem like I just wanted a taste test. Saying they don’t let customers order a drink and if they don’t like it send it back. I’m sorry but every restaurant lets you send it back if it’s bad. They didn’t apologize and made me feel like I was the one in the wrong. We also ordered their loaded fries which were burnt and soggy. We won’t be returning.
Usually pretty good but today 4 of us gathered for our Christmas luncheon. This was on a Sunday. I ordered the Philly cheeses teak and it tasted just like Steakums. Ick! The other ladies said that their wings tasted like they were done the day before. Seems like dressed up Sysco food. I do give credit to the wait stafff as they are amazing. We all agreed, go there for the amazing cocktails. Salads are really good.

I don't even know where to start. I know it's a new place and don't want to be too harsh but after tip I paid $90 for as you can see in the pics "jumbo gulf shrimp" (you'd think we were a thousand miles away from the Gulf of Mexico and people wouldnt know any better). Along with "garlic parmesan" wings (which were literally naked fried wings with a dash of garlic sauce?) Er... Sauce? Maybe? You be the judge. Along with a Caesar salad and "gator bites" which were basically like a hush puppy meets the texture of a crab cake. (I have a hard time believing this was gator). And like 3 drinks. And it took over an hour for our food to come out. I don't mean to be so harsh to a new establishment, but this was just bad... I mean really really bad. So bad that I don't know if I would spend my time there even if my food was free. Just bad...
Food was horrible!I ordered a wedge. Salad…slices of raw bacon on my lettuce. I was not impressed… waitress knew and just ignored the situation!
My husband and I got there, but they were not busy and ordered our drinks. A few minutes later, the sever came, and we ordered chips and queso and ordered our meal. We waited 15 minutes later, but still nothing. People started coming in and getting seated and getting their salads . But we didn't get anything. So we called another server over and asked to pay for drinks, and she said that we could leave . But no apology.
Waited 10 minutes at the hostess station. We could see open tables. 2 bartenders slamming out drinks. No one running food or cleaning tables. People looking around for someone to serve them. It looked like a derailed restaurant train wreck. I dont even want to know what kitchen looks like. If you cant run your business correctly. Shut the doors.
Simply Awful at every level. I honestly I do not think I have ever had worse food. The chow halls in Afghanistan served better food than this place. Though they should be proud in a few areas. First and kinda impressive they somehow managed to burn French fries but make them completely soggy. Second, they someone were able to create a kids nugget that had zero taste besides oil and the streaks of burnt oil through out. My kids were impressed thought it was tiger striped. Lastly is the level of indifference from the manager when I asked for my check as after an hour still had not gotten our food, which now seems a blessing! He simply came back with my food that looks like it had sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. I asked him if he would eat that and just the check. What a waste good looking building but save yourself and order from dairy cone and do a drive by.
We intended to go to Schobel's, but decided to stop by Blake's since we've never been. What a mistake that was. First off, food took a long time to come. They're busy, I get it. But what was most bizarre, was that waitresses (not our waiter) kept coming by and asking if we were ok (as I stared at an empty table). I finally had enough, and half-laughed saying, I would be better if I had my food. Shortly after, the food arrived. My fried fish came on dry bread and onion rings were extremely over fried. The catfish wasn't fresh and had a fishy taste. The onion rings were like biting into sawdust. I tried my husband's burger and it was ok. So were the sweet potato fries (a little soggy toward the bottom). But for $12-$13, I expect a decent meal and at least decent service. It would have been better if we had the same waiter or waitress the whole time, but it seemed like none of the staff knew what order had been put in, or what we were waiting on. I will stick with Schobel's or the Italian place across the street in the future, when driving through Columbus.

In all the years we have been going to Blake's, tonight was by far the worst service ever. I get its Friday and busy, but it has been busier before with lines out the door. There were 3 groups sat on the patio which got completely ignored. Our group being one of them. When you know you have parties sitting on the patio you need to have wait staff frequenting the area. One group had to get up and go inside to get someone's attention to get the check. This has happened before where we had to call inside to get a member of the wait staff. Usually it isn't a poor experience, but tonight was especially bad. One waiter even saw an empty glass on our table and didn't ask if a refill was wanted (mind you we even placed it in plain view so it could be seen). I had to ask the person who brought our food and it still took another 10 minutes before anything showed up. This seems to be a recurring theme now which is disappointing.
Was seated at the bar area since it was only tow servers and I was dining alone. That’s fine with me , close to TVs and restroom since I was traveling. I ordered water and tuna lettuce wrap. After it finally arrived 🧐I attempted waving the server but the bartender noticed me. She came over saying I saw u waving. Me… yes! I was trying to catch the server. I ordered the tuna but didn’t know it would be RAW. I have not touched this plate and do not want it. She (bartender) got confrontational saying this IS what YOU ordered. Again me… yes and I was not aware it was raw tuna on a plate. She was very rude and it’s not my fault they are short staffed. She did ask if I wanted something else but her funky attitude ruined that. No thank u and I left. Will never go again.
